Webcenter Content integration with 11i iStore

Hi,
Does the Webcenter content management integrate with 11i iStore module?
Can anyone point me to some documents explaining the same?
Regards

Hi Ravinder ,
Use the following url to get configdefault.xml file :
http://hostname:<port no>/<httpwebrelativeroot>/idcplg?IdcService=SES_CRAWLER_DOWNLOAD_CONFIG&source=<name of source for SES>
Save the file to a local location and then move it to the SES Feed location .
Then do the crawling for Contents from UCM , then schedule run from SES and the UCM contents will be searchable from SES end .
Thanks
Srinath

  • Webcenter spaces integration with ADFS

    Hi,
Has anybody integrated Webcenter spaces application with Active Directory Federation services (ADFS), Is there any documentation available for the same. Please let me know if there is any specific documentation.
    TIA

In an ADF Page, I'm able to drag & drop various Webcenter task flows from the Webcenter services catalog. This is working with Webcenter services and not with Spaces.
Spaces is not available as task flow. So, i need to know how the spaces can be placed in a ADF Page.

  • Webcenter Spaces integration with Lotus Calendar, Sametime, Quickr

    Hello all,
I'm working on a project which involves building an intranet Portal and the customer has Lotus 8.5 which wants to integrate in the Webcenter Spaces 11g "portal". More precisely they want to have in their portal the lotus calendar portlet, lotus mail portlet, lotus notes portlet, lotus sametime portlet ..etc. I found an old documentation and sample of this kind of portlets developed by Oracle but they don't work because of some errors when they try to retrieve the Lotus configuration. The documentation is this one : http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/point/lotusnotes/installation.html
I tried to find the authors of this documentation, or perhaps who developed the portlets and ask them if they can adapt the portlets for an integration between Webcenter Suite and Lotus Notes 8.5. If somebody knows about this topic or can help me with fixing the problem I have with the portlets please let me know - my e-mail is [email protected]
Thank you very much, your help is very much appreciated !

    Hello,
First of all let me thank you Brad, for taking the time to answer, it's very nice of you. After I read you post I spent a couple of hours searching for the installer of the recommended "WebLogic Portlets for Groupware Integration". After searching everywhere I could possible search : OTN, E-Delivery, Metalink, ias.us.oracle.com I could not find the installer of this portlets. In the Installation Guide it says : " 2. Download the software from the Oracle Software Downloads site. " - there is nothing related to Portlets for Groupware on OTN.
Now, I'm ashame but I have to give up, I guess perhaps this portlets for groupware integration are bundeled into some kit with a different name, I don't know, believe me I tried to find them, I searched the documentation but with no luck.
I would be very thankful if you can point me to the installer of this portlets. Thank you very much again !

  • Webcenter Portal integration with ATG

Are there any webcenter portal implementation where the ATG storefront features have been been exposed through the webcenter Portal. Are there any plugins or interfaces to enable the integration between portal & ATG.

    Hi Sameer -
OOTB you can publish assets directly to disk using Export to XML, but you realize that by doing that, you're essentially using Sites as a very expensive GUI over a database.  By using a combination of Java classes and JSPs you can create very rich markup (or XML, or JSON, or whatever you like) and render that, then export that data to disk.  That way you can traverse asset relationships and write much more complex data to disk for consumption by external systems.
As for your options of #1 vs #2, you need to think carefully about what your goals are for using Sites and for using ATG.  There are a number of other integration options between Sites and ATG, including the reverse of #1, which is to have Sites render most pages and then consume data from ATG in service form.  There is also the efficient and decoupled approach of standing up ATG and Sites side-by-side and selectively integrating components together.  So Sites would drive marketing content and ATG would drive commerce content, and the two would leverage service APIs between the two when needed (for example, to render an ATG promo in Sites, or to render a detailed product description from Sites in ATG).
Each approach has pros and cons and there is no Correct Way To Integrate ATG and Sites, but there are, as you can see, several common patterns.
    Hope this helps.

  • Webcenter sites integration with ATG

I have question on Webcenter sites and ATG integration.
We have to use webcenter sites as Web content management system that will feed the static content(text, images, videos, and other documents) to ATG. ATG will be acting as front end and host webpages. We have below two possibilities that we can think of
From Webcenter site we will use its APIs and expose web-services that ATG can consume to get the static contents. (requires lot of effort)
Webcenter site will publish content on the file system that ATG can link to and show them in a webpages. (relatively less effort)
Second solution looked good but there is no documentation that says it is possible. Only one document ‘cip_11gr1_for_file_systems_and_ms_sharepoint_administrator_guide.pdf’ explains
the pulling the data from file-system but it does not mention publishing to file-system.
Another document (webcenter_sites_11gr1_bp1_admin.pdf) that explains publishing to hard disk is template based publishing meaning, we will have to create templates which not a not intended way. since we don't want to create template just to publish.
My question is – is it possible that webcenter sites can to publish to file-system? If yes is there any document which can help us achieving that?
Will appreciate if you can suggest any other approach for integrating these two product.
    Thanks

  • Webcenter JiveForums Integration with OID

Anybody had luck in Integrating Webcenter & JiveForums using LDAP/OID rather than JavaSSO specified by the document
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12483_01/webcenter.1013/b31074/jpsdg_jive.htm.
The document clearly says the LDAP configuration during Jive Admin setup is not supported. if I have to choose the default option, as stated by the document, for user authentication, how do i go about configuring LDAP/OID.
Appreciate if anybody could give steps to follow to achieve this.
    Thanks

Do you have same more logs? Maybe in AdminServer?
    When you get
ADF_FACES-60098:Faces lifecycle receives unhandled exceptions in phase RENDER_RESPONSE 6
    javax.el.ELException: java.lang.NullPointerException
Usually is a error that you isn't catched in some class and you get error in your jspx page.

  • SPP and e-learning content integration with LMS

    HI,
I urgently need help. We have developed e-learning content in SPP. The LMS is Moodle. I am linking the SPP published course into Moodle. when I launch the course from moodle, the user is asked to log onto the spp server. IS there anyway I can get SPP and Moodle to integrate without this double log-in procedure?
Is there any way the user can log onto Moodle and then launch the course without having to launch SPP?

As Rob has already mentioned, you need to look into SSO technology to solve this. Then, the user will login the first time and this will cause an SSO2 ticket to be issued, which is stored in browser as a domain cookie, then sent to the other system and recognised/trusted, so that the other system knows that the user has already authenticated. If user has already authenticated and the cookie is trusted, the user won't see another signon screen.
Maybe you need to post a question on the SDN security forum to get more help with this ?
A common way to authenticate users via browser is to use the Active Directory credentials obtained when user logs onto their workstation using a domain account. Then, the only time the user needs to authenticate is when they logon to Windows, and after that the user is recognised by all SAP systems accessed via a browser. A similar method can be setup with thick-client applications (e.g. when browser not used) and this would use SNC to provide Active Directory based authentication.
    Thanks,
    Tim

  • Webcenter Sites integration with IDM

    Hi,
I have gone through the Admin guide and only find ways to integrate Webcenter Sites with LDAP.
Please suggest can we do SSO implementation using IDM or not? If yes, then please give the link for instruction guide.
    Thanks.

  • Webcenter Content integration: accounts removed

    Hi all,
someone accidentally removed the accounts that were used to integrate WCC and WCP from WCC. Is it enough for me to recreate those accounts in WCC in order to get everything running again, or do I need to do something more?
    Thanks in advance,
    Harold

If you mean Accounts that are in UCM terminology security settings that allow to define what users have permissions to an item, then yes, it will be enough to re-create them (they are created in LDAP via special mapping), and possibly also assign user's permissions within these accounts. Fortunately for you, Revisions.dDocAccount is defined as a VARCHAR field, so if you delete the account and re-create it, you don't need to re-assign items to the account again.

  • Integrating webcenter content with soa webservice

    Hi All,
We have been working on Oracle Content Server for the past one year. Currently we have a requirement that we need to integrate webcent content workflows with oracle BPM worklist using webservice Definition Language(WSDL) url. (i.e.) whenever a workflow is triggered, we need to get a corresponding worklist item on bpm worklist without an email getting triggered for the corresponding approvers/reviewers.
Kindly suggest a suitable method to implement the above strategy. Thanks in advance.
    Thanks

    Hi James,
I have had huge problems applying SOA bundled patches using the Readme.txt files. Mainly as they are supposed to be roll-up patches but some earlier ones state that they need to be applied to WC1 as well as SOA1 but not the later patches. What I do now is apply them to SOA1, WC1, ECM1 and oracle_common at the same time. I am only using a pre-built VM but it seems to solve various issues I have had.
Also recently I had problems with Attachments in Human Tasks so I applied patch p19546426_111176_Generic... I installed into SOA1, oracle_common, ECM1, WC1 (not just SOA1 like the Readme.txt says) and then they started working. This was after many failed attempts following the Readme.txt...
    Hope this helps

  • WebCenter Content Connector Integration

    Hello,
I have a problem to test the WCC Connector integration for WebCenter Sites. I had and Error -3 when connector wants to save all assets from WCC.
I don't have external Ldap I use Weblogic for WCC and I use internal for WCS
    Thanks for yours help
    Michel

I assume it will require more data to be able to analyse where the problem potentially can be.
First of all take a look at these two articles that explain what needs to be done. Perhaps, you will find if something is missing:

  • WebCenter Portal application with OID

Can someone show the way to resolve the below Challenge?
Intention: Integrate OID User repository with Oracle WebCenter Portal application
    Sequence of steps followed:
    1) We have created a new provider under WLS and made the control flag to sufficient,
    2) Reorder the OID Provider with the default provider and changed the default provider control flag to optional
    3) Created new WebCenter Portal application(with the default webcenter framework template) and deployed into custom managed server
    4) Now iam able to login to the sample portal application with the OID Users
Challenge: i can able to get the administration tab in the application(Sample deployed application) by making the OID Group as a Administrator role, but if i go to the security tab under the webcenter framework administration option it is not fetching any user/group list from OID+*,
it is showing the popup message like "An unknown error occured during data streaming, Ask your system administrator to inspect the server side logs "
and here are the logs from custom managed server,

Do you have same more logs? Maybe in AdminServer?
    When you get
ADF_FACES-60098:Faces lifecycle receives unhandled exceptions in phase RENDER_RESPONSE 6
    javax.el.ELException: java.lang.NullPointerException
Usually is a error that you isn't catched in some class and you get error in your jspx page.

  • Primavera P6 integration with Oracle UCM

Hello, is there any documentation on how to integrate primavera with Oracle UCM instead of Apache JackRabbit?
In Primavera P6 documentation there is only one sentence regarding the problem:
Primavera default integration is with Apache JackRabbit content repository.
    Primavera with native JCR support:
    •Oracle Universal Content Management
    •Apache Jackrabbit
    •Content Repository Extreme (CRX)
    •Magnolia
    •Object Web eXo Platform
    •Alfresco Document Management
    •...

After communication with Primavera's team: there is no built in integration in Primavera P6 with UCM through JSR-170.
There are plans to standardize Primavera's content integration with JSR-170 standards in Primavera 7.
For more information you have to contact Primavera's support team.

  • R12 iStore integration with third party content management system

We are facing several challenges and are already a month behind for Go-Live with the iStore implementation. Hence, I wanted to check if anyone has worked on a similar setup
    1. iStore being used only for cart functionality
    2. All content, web pages are on a thrid party site
    3. iStore's deep linking is being used for cart updates
    4. We have a dmz environment and reverse proxy setup
    5. Payments is integrated
We are finding several application errors, there is a loss during the back & forth communication between iStore & third party site. Could somebody please advise if there can be a better setup or if they have implemented a similar network topology.
    Thanks.

    Hi All,
We are also facing same issues(Application Errors) and our setups include third party website linking, DMZ configurations and Reverse Proxy setups. Unable to know the root cause for these application errors as it was intermittent.
    Please help me on this.

  • Integrating BPM with WebCenter Content

To integrate UCM and BPM, I followed this tutorial written by J@n van Zoggel.
At the moment, I've already set up everything exactly as instructed in the tutorial. However, when I viewed a task in BPM Workspace, I still cannot see the Attachment section. In the log, I saw the following error:
Ensure that credential store map WF-ADMIN-USER with key WF-ADMIN-CREDENTIAL
contains UCM server admin username/password. Also ensure that Workflow configuration parameter
UcmIdcUrl contains IDC socket connection url to connect to UCM server and UCM server has permission
to let SOA server connect to it using IDC protocol.
    access denied ("oracle.security.jps.service.credstore.CredentialAccessPermission" "context=SYSTEM,mapName=WF-ADMIN-USER,keyName=WF-ADMIN-CREDENTIAL" "read")]]
One thing I'd like to ask is that in all tutorials or articles I've read, the authors are always testing in the environment in which both the UCM and BPM servers are on the same machine. In my case, I am trying to connect my local BPM server with the online WebCenter Content server of my company, I wonder if I have to make any additional settings for this to work. A few pictures of my current settings are shown below.
I'd be very grateful if you could share with me your experience in integrating BPM and UCM.
    Best regards,
    James Tran
P/S: My environment is SOA Suite 11.1.1.7 and WebCenter 11.1.1.7
    1. UcmIdcUrl setting:
    2. WF-ADMIN-USER key map:
    3. WebCenter Content IP Filter:

I don't believe that noone has ever tried to connect the local BPM environment to a remote WCC server before. Please let me know if you've ever experienced the same problem. Otherwise, even a simple "I tried to do the samething and I succeeded using the same steps in the tutorial" would help too .
Another thing is that yesterday, I talked to the tech-lead and I learned that our WCC server environment doesn't have BPM installed yet. I am wondering if this would cause the WCC server to not understand the request from my BPM server. In addtion, I've also upgraded my local BPM server using the lastest SOA bundled patch. Should the same patch be applied to the WCC server environment too?
I'd be very grateful for any advice .
