Webcenter content IPM error

Hi,
In Webcenter Imaging I have the Application security rights(create and administrator in Manage security). when I try to modify a application its going fine till application security but in document security page when i try to click next without changing any groups or permissions assigned to groups it is giving this error: "SECURITY MEMBER MUST HAVE VIEW ACCESS, ATLEAST ONE GROUP SHOULD HAVE GRANT ACCESS" and the check box representing VIEW permission is unmarked and disabled to mark it. So I deleted the existing groups and replaced them with the same groups, now i can mark every permission. And when i am done with the modification in the summary page it is not showing any marked permissions for view, modify, delete and grant access on the document security page.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?

which is the authenticator provider
is it default authenticator or Active directory or anything else?
