Webcenter Spaces configuration

I want to configure the Wiki,Blogs and forum in my application .I have webcenter server ready with me with the following managed server . WC_Collaboration,WC_Portlet, WC_Spaces ,WC_Utilities , UCM_server1 , IPM_server1 , AdminServer(admin) .
How can i configure the wiki and blogs in above server .That will be part of WC_Spaces or WC_Utilities .
Please suggest .

My customer will use web center 11g on multiple linux server, I noticed there is a comment in wc doc like this:

The default file-based policy store can only be used for single-node WebCenter Spaces configurations. For multi-node configurations, you must reassociate the policy and credential store with an external LDAP-based store (such as Oracle Internet Directory) as described in Section 23.4, "Configuring the Policy and Credential Store."
The policy store can be configured to use Oracle Internet Directory 11gR1 and 10.1.4.3, and OVD 11gR1 with the Local Store Adapter (LSA).
The identity store can be configured to use the following LDAP servers:
Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11gR1 and 10.1.4.3
Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11gR1 and 10.1.4
Sun iPlanet version 4.1.3
Active Directory shipped as part of Windows 2000

My customer only has AD, they don't have budget to buy oid at this time, according to the statement "The policy store can be configured to use Oracle Internet Directory 11gR1 and 10.1.4.3, and OVD 11gR1 with the Local Store Adapter (LSA).", does that mean the wc policy store can not use other ldap such as ad in multiple-node wc configuration?
If performance is not an issue, can I use default file-based policy store in this case?
If it's impossible for the customer to buy oid at this time, what's the possible solution?

You can configure directly with AD.
Basically your WebLogic server needs to be configured to talk to AD. You can configure an Identity provider in Weblogic server which uses AD as LDAP.
This should work in multi-node environment.
Also, i do not see any reason why file based jazn-data should not work.
Best solution from my perspective if Weblogic AD configuration does not work:
Create and manage your users and roles in Weblogic embedded LDAP. All you have to change in your application is the realm to the name of weblogic realm(default is myrealm) and while deploying make sure you uncheck the create users and roles.

Webcenter Spaces Events Service configuration: FATAL Alert BAD CERTIFICATE

Hello,
I have a simple requirement to connect the events taskflow from an exchange server that is https and has a confirmed security certificate. I use the wsdl path for the events service and add it to my webcenter spaces service configuration -> Personal Events configuration.
Then I ran into this error.
javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException: FATAL Alert:BAD_CERTIFICATE - A corrupt or unuseable certificate was received.
So, I downloaded the .crt file from Chrome (in per format) and used the keytool to upload the certificate exception into the cacerts file inside jdk and jrocket folders. I restart the managed server running WebCenter Spaces. This had no effect on the error.
Is there anything else that I should do?

WebCenter Spaces UCM configuration - GET_ENVIRONMENT service call issue

After installing and configuring UCM, then WebCenter Spaces, the startup of WebCenter should create a content folder in UCM. However the connectivity between WebCenter and UCM causes an error in the log files:

It turns out, the "Intradoc ServerPort" was not set in UCM. In Enterprise Manager: Content Server: Oracle Universal Content Management: Configuration, it was blank. As soon as I set this to "4444" and restarted it fixed this error.

I have created a group in the Directory Services Manager. How do I configure/add this group in Web Center Spaces environment? Thanks.

If the WLS that contains Webcenter Spaces already is configured with this ldap in security realm, you don't do anything

i have deployed and extended a adf task flow in webcenter spaces.I have a parameter added to the task flow.Whenever i am adding the parameter to tha task flow i get the following error

You give far to little detail about the scenario.
Is it an OOTB taskflow that you extended. If so, which one and what parameter did you add + how did you do it.
How did you deploy to spaces
There are a lot of steps in that process that can go wrong so don't expect us to come up with an answer based upon this basic information.

Using WebCenter Spaces Web Service API through JDeveloper's Data Control

I'm trying to access WebCenter Spaces Web Service API (located at http://host:port/webcenter/SpacesWebService)
using JDeveloper's Web Center Data Control.
I created a data control in my portal project using JDeveloper's Web Service Data Control wizard.
I also created and configured key stores (jps-config.xml) at both sides (spaces server and my portal client).
How I created a data control:
* First I entered the name and the URL (http://host:port/webcenter/SpacesWebService?WSDL)
* Then I entered HTTP basic authentication details (user name and password)
* After that I drag-and-drop the getGroupSpaces() method from the data control to a .jspx page as a ADF read-only table.
* Then ran my portal project and navigated to this .jspx page and it worked. List of group spaces appeared well on that page.
The problem is that I got only public group spaces and group spaces created by the user I entered on HTTP basic authentication details.
I makes no sense to enter some static user details in a web service client (or a data control).
So the question is; can I use identity propagation to get only group spaces created by the same user which I logged in my portal?

Hi,
You generally get NameError when you are executing the createCred/updateCred from a incorrect location. Are you using the wlst from oracle_common\common\bin?
Also, In your steps I don't see what you did to populate the walllet at JDeveloper end after your updateCred failed. This is a required step. Use the wlst from the location emntioned above and you should be able to proceed.

Deploy a custom taskflow to WebCenter Spaces

JDeveloper: 11.1.1.6
OS: Windows 7
I'm current trying to upload a custom ADF taskflow that i've created in JDeveloper to Oracle WebCenter Spaces. I have followed the Oracle Support Note Doc ID 1362187.1 (How to Create a Task Flow in JDeveloper and Deploy to WebCenter Spaces), it was extremley helpful but having issues extending Spaces, which includes my customer taskflow which is deployed as a library.
Oracle WebCenter Spaces is up and running
1) Initially that the Ant Scripts supplied does not complete successfully in particular the "Clean-Stage" and "Deployed-Shared-Library".
Clean-Stage is now at a stage where it failed with the following error message:

C:\jdev\Sandpit11.1.1.6\mywork\DesignWebCenterSpaces\WebCenterSpacesExtensionLibrary\internal-targets.xml:77: if doesn't support the nested "isgreaterthan" element.*
I believe it has something to do with the version of ant-contrib but can't quite get it to work. Other various blogs and posts talk about AntContrib requires version 1.5 or above, I believe jdeveloper is using 1.7.1. I'm also currently using ant-contrib-1.0b3. I've also tried using ant-contrib-1.0b2 but that doesn't work either.. So how is this Ant Script meant to work if the error message is that the IF statement doesn't support nested "isgreaterthan"?
2) deploy-shared-lib Ant Script
This is was major headache and still doesn't work properly. I'm current at the error message below

3) I kinda gave up using the Ant Scripts cleaning deploying autmatically, so i decided to create a deployment profile and deploy it the usual way. I can deploy the new shared library to the Weblogic server ok and it can see it as per Oracle Support Note DOC ID 1362187.1 but the issue arises when i try to restart the Spaces Managed Server in the Enterprize Manager... the container starts up the Spaces application will not load causing an error:

Have you created the datasource on your weblogic server? The error means that you do not have created the datasource on your server.
based upon the name, it is the default JDev creates. Best what you can do is create a jndi name yourself and then edit the datacontrol so it will use the jndi name.
In order to create a jndi in weblogic, go to your console:
http://localhost:7001/console (this is for my local machine)
From the left menu you can find the data source in "Services" => JDBC => Data sources
Create a new one and give it a JNDI name for example "jdbc/TSTDS"
Make sure you also set the target of the data source. If you aren't using the latest version you have to edit your datasource after creation and select the target tab and select which server you want to use the datasource on. If you are using the latest version you will be asked to select the target.
You than have to edit the configuration of your datacontrols so they are using that source.
Make sure you select "JDBC DataSource" and not "JDBC URL". The datasource name must be the one you entered in the JNDI field. Exactly the same, it is case sensitive.

ACL - ILS (Item Level Security) for Content Server & WebCenter Spaces

We're trying to implement Item Level Security (ILS / ACL) for Webcenter spaces. We're following the instructions from the Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle WebCenter 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5.0) http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15586_01/webcenter.1111/e12405.pdf
After making the configuration changes, we're unable to see the "Security" option from the "File" menu in the Document explorer. Has anyone else implemented this feature and ran into similar issues?
I made the following configuration changes:
UseEntitySecurity=1
SpecialAuthGroups=SecurityGroups (comma separated list with no spaces and the application name is included)
CS: Version:11gR1-11.1.1.5.0
DB: 11.2.0.2.0 ---Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition
WebCenter: 11.1.1.4.0 (in a clustered environment)
Also, we're looking at the document properties in webcenter spaces via document explorer and do not see the "security group" or "accounts" metadata fields. We can see the "Content ID" and a whole bunch of fields and do not see "security groups" and "accounts". However, when we log into the content server and look at the folder or file "info" we can clearly see the security group and account values...not sure what is required to make these two fields show up in webcenter spaces.

When you say the security and account field are not displayed , is that when viewing the content or during update ?
When the ACL features are turned off do you see the above fields ?

Content Server in WebCenter Spaces 11g

Hi,
I configured both WebCenter 11g and Oracle Content Server to use OID. I created a connection in WebCenter using CIS Type as Socket and gave the hostname/port along with other settings but in WebCenter Spaces I still can't see the repository and it it says Document Service is unavailable. Any idea what might be missing as I followed the documentation but it's not very clear.

Yes it is Spaces and the connection is configured on Enterprise Manager. I manage to solve the issue as I didnot create any Roles in Content Server for the Groups that exists in Active Directory. But this in-turn started giving other errors that I am not able to figure out.
Now when I log in with any Active Directory user into WebCenter Spaces and try to include a Document Service it gives me the below errr:
OracleJSP error: java.io.FileNotFoundException: <p> Set the init-param <code> debug_mode</code> to "true" to see the complete exception message.Now if I log-in with weblogic user that is not part of Active Directory it does let me add the Document Service can upload documents etc. but won't let me create the pages while creating page it says user weblogic doesnot exist. So basically wit active directry users I can create page but not use document service and with weblogic user it's the other way round. Any ideas what I am doing wrong as the documentation is not even clear either and how can i solve this issue.
Is there any good document out there that does explain all this.

Problem integrating BPM Process Spaces with Webcenter Spaces PS5

Its looking that BPM was not correctly configured for some reason, exact root cause could not be pinpointed. You can try following two things:-
1. Run the following ant command and restart the Admin and managed servers
ant -f install.xml post-install -DpiArgs -importGSOnly
2. If Oracle BPM and WebCenter have been configured in different domains, configure Trusted Domain Credentials in both the Oracle BPM and WebCenter domains.

How to add Content workflow to Webcenter spaces/ custom application

I would like to add Content work-flows ( Add - review - publish of content) to Webcenter spaces.so that users of Spaces/ application can work with add- publish-review cycle. I want to know if any thing like portlet or something available that can be added.
I have a webcenter 11g associated with OCS 10.1.3. Does the suites Content Portlet Suite/Content Integration Suite contain these workflows? Please help me in this regard thanks.

Yes. it is the same way. once the Portletsuite is integrated you can create a workflow in Oracle conent server using Workflow Manager Applet. Extenal Identity store needs to be configured.
But I have some problem with webcenter spaces users on external Ldap server. In contribution checkout step ,I am not getting the checkout link. i am getting exception like "not suffient privilage".
But the workflow seems to work fine in idc application.

Webcenter Spaces integration with Lotus Calendar, Sametime, Quickr

I'm working on a project which involves building an intranet Portal and the customer has Lotus 8.5 which wants to integrate in the Webcenter Spaces 11g "portal". More precisely they want to have in their portal the lotus calendar portlet, lotus mail portlet,lotus notes portlet, lotus sametime portlet ..etc. I found an old documentation and sample of this kind of portlets developed by Oracle but they don't work because of some errors when they try to retrieve the Lotus configuration. After I read you post I spent a couple of hours searching for the installer of the recommended "WebLogic Portlets for Groupware Integration". After searching everywhere I could possible search : OTN, E-Delivery, Metalink, ias.us.oracle.com I could not find the installer of this portlets. In the Installation Guide it says : " 2. Download the software from the Oracle Software Downloads site. " - there is nothing related to Portlets for Groupware on OTN.
Now, I'm ashame but I have to give up, I guess perhaps this portlets for groupware integration are bundeled into some kit with a different name, I don't know, believe me I tried to find them, I searched the documentation but with no luck.
I would be very thankful if you can point me to the installer of this portlets. Thank you very much again !

Coherence POF java.io.NotSerializableException on standalone Webcenter spaces server.

I’m using coherence(V3.6.1) with POF serialization in ADF web application. I have setup local coherence server node and Jdev integrated webcenter server in my local system(windows 7 OS), the application works perfectly when I run in local Jdeveloper integrated server. But when I deploy the application on dev environment ( standalone webcenter spaces server v11G on Unix OS) we are getting exception “(Wrapped) java.io.NotSerializableException: com.enbridge.co.ux.coherence.pojos.CommodityPojo”
It seems that POF is not configured properly on the standalone webcenter (spaces) server, please help finding out the solution for this issue. On standalone webcenter spaces server is there any extra configurations we have to do?

Managing the mail service for WebCenter Spaces

I need to setup the mail service in WebCenter Spaces and could use some assistance. I have a standalone Linux DEV box that has WebCenter 11.1.1.2 installed. I have Documents, Discussions, wikis+blogs all working in this instance.
Now, I need to configure the mail service for this DEV instance to an SMTP mail server but I don't have any experience with this part. Has anyone setup the mail service using the Linux sendmail or Exchange 2003? How did you setup the external application for the mail server if you want to use Sendmail? Any help is appreciated.

Hi Everybody
I am also having similar problems. I could configure everything except for the mail service.
I have the SMTP port but do not have IMAP details as our IT team does not maintain the IMAP.
Please let me know how can I configure mail service with the SMTP details only.
Your timely help would be much appreciated as we are in between a project development.
