WebCenter Suite comsume and publish the JD Edwards reports portlets

Hi All,
I am exploring the option of using webcenter 11 as portal with JDE 9.0 and looking for possibility of use/publish the JDE native reports via webcenter as portlet.
Can Webcenter suite (latest release) consume and publish the JD Edwards (9.0) reports portlets?? If so, can you please provide me the details.

When we double click on the index.app file, the application is working perfectly in Mac 10.6.7 at our office. But if the same index.app file is double clicked in Mac 10.6.7 at out clients location, its not opening. For your information the client is able to open this same application by double clicking on index.swf file. The main problem is that client is not able to open the application using index.app file at their office whereas we are able to do so at our office. Can anyone give some suggestions to sort this problem?

The most common reason is different versions of Flash, or different versions of web browsers used. Some users may elect to not have Flash installed at all because of the processor overhead of Flash. If you are going to make an application for a client, check what operating system and browser versions they are using first. Then determine if a stand alone application is required, or if they have the necessary plugins to run specific browser enhanced code.
P.S. MAC is an acronym for Media Access Control. Mac is the shorthand for Macintosh, the operating system and computers made by Apple Inc.

Put those two portlets on a page, after you submit the form (after Insert, Update, Delete),
the page will be refreshed and the deptno will be passed to the report.

Is using iphoto sample music and publishing the slideshow violating copyright?

I am using sample music from iphoto in a slideshow of my art work. When I published the slideshow on facebook, I received the following notification: "We have removed your video entitled (no title) uploaded at 7:41am February 5th, 2012. We did this because it appears to contain copyrighted material owned by a third party, such as a video clip or background audio."
Is this in fact a copyright violation?

Help cancelling my creative suite subscription and purchasing the photography plan instead !

I currently have the full CS suite subscription which I don't need. I only need PS, bridge and lightroom ( the photography plan ).
How do I go about switching and does the photography suite include bridge ?

This is my current view of the Creative Cloud program.
For some reason Premiere CS6 was available but I cannot find the app anywhere on my computer after downloading. It says it is functioning in creative cloud but I cannot find it. So I tried to uninstall it, but it's not working. Audition CS6 was able to download from the Creative Cloud without any issues but shouldn't it be CC not CS6? Also I need After Effects as well but I can't find that. The InDesign CS6 was a physical disc copy I had from before with a license.

WebCenter Suite MDS and HA Setup

From previous Application Server HA configurations, the two AS nodes in a cluster just had local storage and any shared information was in a RAC DB (typically behind a firewall).
Looking at the install guide for WebCenter 10.1.3.2, the Meta Data Services (MDS) looks like it is shared and is filesystem based (although I beleive a DB option is coming)
Do this mean I have to make shared storage, for exmaple NetApp Filers, available to my clustered Middle Tiers now?

Hi Jim,
We're working on a clustered HA Webcenter environment. MDS and the preference store should be shared amongst all WebCenter nodes of the cluster. MDS can be on a fileshare, the preference store in a database or also on a shared filesystem.

Can we call a transaction in background and get the list in report?

I want to call the standard T-Code MC.9 from a report in background using Call Transaction and get the list in the report.There are some enhancement done to its base program RMCB0300 due to which if I use Submit ... exporting to memory and then import the list from memory, the result doesnt match to the values given by T-Code MC.9.
The option apparently for me is to use Call Transaction method, but if I use Call transaction method, how do I make the report to be executed in background and then get the resultant list in the report?

Copy the program in Z and than modify it saving the list on memory on database table.

Can't boot up and error "The underlying task reported failure on exit"

I've spent some time searching the forums and internet for my problem to no avail, so hopefully this isn't something that was posted before.
I recently upgraded my internal drive on my Macbook. Everything has been fine for a week or so, and Leopard ran smoothly. Yesterday, the machine got hung up on backing up to Time Machine. For whatever reason, it got hung up and now all I get when I try to reboot is a gray screen, the Apple logo, and a spinning progress disc.
I can boot from another external drive just fine, and the data on the disk is all there. I just cannot boot from my master internal drive.
I ran Disk Utility from the other external drive (also runs Leopard), and when I try to repair the disk, Mac OS X says everything is fine.
However, when I try to repair permissions, I get the following error:
Verify permissions for “John HD”
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit.
Permissions verification complete
That's it...nothing else to it. I cannot seem to get over this error no matter what.
Also, I'm a bit nervous because my Time Machine folder has a folder labeled "Update in Progress" that is all white. Will I be able to backup from Time Macine, or is that data now corrupted?

By the way, this is the information that Disk Utility gives me when I try to repair the disk and then repair the permissions:

Checking multi-linked files.
Checking Catalog hierarchy.
Checking Extended Attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume information.
The volume John HD appears to be OK.

Permissions repair complete
Like I said, the drive seems healthy enough. I just cannot get it to boot.

Datatemplate query and publishing the output

I'm troubleshooting performance problem in Oracle Apps r12 while running GL/XLA reports using the XML Publisher. The query which is defined in datatemplate takes less then a minute to complete while I execute it from PLSQL environment, however the entire job run as Concurrent process takes 30 minutes to complete. I suspect the majority of the time is spend formating an excel output in BI Publisher engine. To prove I look at the log file generated... it says the job started at 26-JAN-2011 11:47:10 and then...

As you see it took about a minute from the start until the PUBLISH section started. Is the part of query execution from datatemplate included in PUBLISH section of the log or does it happen before.

How to Call and print the output eBusiness Report

I have gone through all the posted threads to see whether any of the thread solution matches my requirement. But, I couldn't find any.
I have a report which is registered in eBusiness and I wanted to run the report and wanted to show the report output in APEX.
How can I achieve this?

I want to change serial number in the Batch report and in the special UUT report

I use Batch Model, sequential mode.
I want to change serial number in the Batch report and I want to change UUT serial number in each TestSocket report.
I overrided ModifyReportHeader, I did
Parameters.UUT.SerialNumber = "....."
but the serial number changed only in the Batch Report, not in UUT Report. How can I change serial number in UUT Report too?

There is actually a ModifyBatchReportHeader in addition to the ModifyReportHeader that you already used. That would be the first thing to do.
After that, I think I need a more detailed description of what you are trying to do (perhaps with screenshots) in order to be able to help effectively.

Contribute CS3 embeds the contents of SSI Includes into page after Edit and Publish

I have tried every possible way to figure this out but it
seems as though no one has this problem or a solution...
My Dreamweaver CS3 Template based files that have SSI
Includes placed in a "non-editable region" of a template and/or
nested templates are continually embedded, merged, or hard-coded (I
used those keywords for anyone else who might be searching for help
on this frustrating issue) into the page after it has been edited
and published with Contribute CS3 for Windows.
After many, many, hours and days rebuilding templates
(thinking that it was my code), experimenting with .htaccess
include_path variables, and cursing this application, I have come
to one conclusion - if I put my includes within "editable regions"
in the templates or the template based pages, edit and publish the
page with Contribute - then the page is saved normally, with the
includes intact and not embedded within the page. This is of course
not necessarily desirable!
I have tried using various types of include directives like:
<?php include('footer.inc'); ?>
<?php require('footer.inc'); ?>
<?php virtual(footer.php'); ?>


All Includes are merged into the template-based page after
the page has been edited and published with Contribute - if they
are in "non-editable regions"!
Please, someone point me in the right direction - if it's
calling Adobe's Help line, or posting the files or whatever. I
can't finish this project and hand off to the client until this is
resolved.

Publishing the report output to PDF and Excel

Is there any way to get the Report title, Report run date, Page numbers when we export the report output to Excel or PDF.

I am assuming you are working in 2004s
Exporting to PDF
For page numbering, add the following parameter to the export command, which defaults the footer to the page numbering
<bi:FOOTER_RIGHT value="PAGEOFPAGES" />
Report Run Date ... we have included this in a text element in our report, and made sure that element is part of the export command. The text element we have used is configured as a Generic Text Element and uses the LAST_REFRESHED property
Report Title ... this is done in the same way, but uses the QUERY_DESCRIPTION property.
Exporting to Excel
As mentioned already, there is no sense in including page numbers when exporting to Excel, as everything is shown on 1 sheet.
Report Title and Report Run Date are included in the export the same way as above.

WebCenter suite 11g Installation

I am installing WebCenter Suite 11g. In the first time I install oracle 11g in a VM since the oracle 10.2.0.2 is running in my machine and it cannot be stopped.
The VM is in my machine.
In the DB of VM, I create a user named user2 for testing and connect it via SQL developer.
username: test2
password: test2
Host name: 192.168.222.222
Port: 1521
SID: orcl
It works.
Then, I install the RCU in my machine (not in VM). The rcu need me to key in the DB information.
Host name: 192.168.222.222
Prot: 1521
Service name: orcl
username: sys
passord:********
Role: SYSDBA
However, it shows error messages:
Unable to connect to the database useing the provided details.
Please enter a valid hostname and port or check if the listener is up and running

It works now. But I cannot install RCU.
It shows errors of RCU 6107 and 6092
