WebDAV & cFolders 4.00

Hello All!!!
I'm novice at cFolders 4.00. Can anyone help me to solve such problem. I've configured a connection via WebDAV to cFolders 4.00. It works fine. But is it possible to access my Collaborative Scenarios and documents in cFolders via WebDAV? And how this can be done?
TIA, Vorobiev Mikhail

Sorry for my poor English
I tryed to explain what i mean.
I want to realize ability of Standards in cFolders - namely I mean following ability:
Extract of description cFolders "<b>You can link objects</b> that you created in any of the collaborations in cFolders (or imported from the back-end system) to another object in a Standards collaboration".
I try to link objects in collaborations to another object in a Standards collaboration, but i can`t do this. How to do this, how to link objects.

  • Unable to add XML files to genericObjects Folders using Webdav - cFolders

    Hi All
    I am not able to add XML files to genericObjects Folders using Webdav in cFolders
    What could be the reason.. When I try to copy, it says "cant read from source file"
    Regards,
    Aby

    Yes.. I downloaded the ECN.XML file from se80, edited and then used "Uplload and replace"..
    Also I did the same thing to add some more vocabulary in the cfx text XML, so that it would reflect correctly to map with Additional attributes in the PDX profile.

  • Authorization in WebDAV for cFolders

    Hi
    I have autorization rules set for the collaboration folder structure from none to write to read etc.
    In cFolders application for that user it all applies. But when I get the WebDAV URL in that user login, these authorizations is not applied. i.e. even folders which are set 'none' (not visible in cFolders application) are visible.
    Is this the way WebDAV behaviour is or am I missing something?

    Senthil

    Hello Senthil,
    you can use WebDAV for two purposes:
    a) maintenance of cFolders settings with special URL
    b) to maintain documents in cFolders via the MS Windows Explorer using the SAP NetWeaver Portal Drive.
    You do not need the Enterprise Portal to be installed to use the WebDAV functionality together with SAP NetWeaver Portal Drive.
    The name SAP NetWeaver Portal drive is a little bit misleading.
    It is called Portal drive, since it is the WebDAV client for the Knowledge Management (KM) of the portal also.
    When using the SAP NetWeaver Portal drive with cFolders no portal is required as the SAP NetWeaver Portal drive acts also as WebDAV client for cFolders. The SAP NetWeaver Portal drive is a 3rd party WebDAV client from a company called XYTHOS (http://www.xythos.com/home/xythos/company/company.html), which can be used by SAP customers for free.
    You can download the Installer for the SAP NetWeaver Portal drive from SAP Service Marketplace under http://service.sap.com/swdc

  • CFolders Windows Explorer integration via WebDAV

    Hi  Folks,
    I am trying to use the cFolders windows explorer integration. The steps I have followed to set this up are as follows.
    1. Transaction SICF - activated service default_host/sap/cpro
    2. Transaction SICF - created an external alias "/cpr_webdav" with Trg Element set as "/default_host/sap/cpro"
    3. Maintained the URL Part 1 field as "http://servername:8005/cpr_webdav" and cFolders active checked under the IMG Make settings for WebDAV interface.
    4. Went into a collaboration and obtained the "WebDAV URL" for the collaboration "Supplier01Test". The generated URL was "http://servername:8005/cpr_webdav/cfx/cwn/Supplier01Folder~(col_100005)/"
    5. Installed the SAP Netweaver Portal Drive and plugged this URL in there and it did not work. I also tried mapping a network drive from my network places.
    Is there anything I have missed? I have gone through the SAP help and other discussion threads here, but could not make any progress. By the way, I am working with cFolders 4.5.
    Thanks,
    Lashan

    Hi Lashan,
    Thanks for your reply. Please let me know where we need to maintain the correct client settings.
    We followed as per the steps and maintained the URL in spro settings as
    http://<hostname>:<port>/<sid>050-webdav
    <sid>050-webdav - Ext. alias created  with  trg. element /sap/bc/cpro/
    The below URL is not accepted during the mapping of network drive.
    http://<hostname>:<port>/<sid>050-webdav/cfx/cwn/Folder~(fol_100002)/
    Please help us to resolve this issue.
    Thanks and Regards

  • WebDAV & cProjects/cFolders

    I'm having a problem connecting via WebDAV to cProjects 4.0, but I can't find what steps I must have missed. We do not have Enterprise Portals installed.
    The URL for cProjects is http://xxx.yyy.zzz:8001/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/cprojects
    In SICF I've created an alias of <i>default_host/cpr_webdav</i> which refers to <i>default_host/sap/cpro</i> and have activated the service <i>default_host/sap/cpro</i>.
    In the cprojects "Settings for webDAV" config I've set <b>URL 1</b> to http://xxx.yyy.zzz:8001/cpr_webdav and ticked cProjects & cFolders.
    I'm using <b>'My Network Places'</b> -> 'Add <b>Network Place'</b> to connect to webDAV and I use <i>http://xxx.yyy.zzz:8001/cpr_webdav</i> as the network address. A login is requested and I enter my SAP UserID and Password (which is the same for all 3 clients on this system). I then get an error message 'The folder you have specified does not appear to be valid'.
    I've also tried adding <i>"?sap-client=xxx"</i> to the end of the URL to force a specific client with the same result.
    Are there any additional authorisation objects required?
    Are there any prerequisite services which need to be enabled?
    Have I missed any steps?
    Thanks for any help as I'm tearing out what little hair I have left

  • Documents in Cfolders?

    When you create documents in Cfolders (3.1 not 4.0), what technology does it use? I am aware you can publish DMS documents to Cfolders and you can use KM to create documents in 4.0 with webdav but what technology is KM using to create documents and folders within Cfolders 3.1? Can you specify an external content repository for these documents like an HTTP content server?

    Hello Athol,
    for the creation of documents via TA CFE01/CFE02 or WEbDAV the cFolders APIs are used in the background:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ppm400/helpdata/en/30/cce8bf627db74fa531f89b9aed229f/frameset.HTM
    For document creation CFX_API_DOC_CREATE is used.
    The content server has to be defined in advance per user in cFolders:
    For details see: chapter 7.3 Distributed Content Server: Overview in cFolders Configuration Guide:

  • ECL Viewer Redlining does not work in cFolders for PDF

    Hi,
    I am using cFolders 4.5 with ECL viewer 6.0 patch level 4. Redlining functionality works for AutoCAD and graphics files such as JPG. However, when I try to use the redlining functionality on a PDF I get the message "This feature is currently not supported. Please contact your cFolders system administrator. The ECL viewer will shut down".
    Any ideas on why this is happening. Is there anything specific I need to do to enable redlining for PDF files on cFolders.
    Thanks,
    Lashan

    Hi Lashan,
    This can be only realized in form of a modification.
    To get the functionality, you have to change the code of BSP page
    'doc_de_redline.htm'. You can find this information at transaction SE80
    > BSP application 'CFX_RFC_UI' > Pages with Flow Logic
    Switch to Layout:

    Regarding redlining of pdf files:
    Please create a file" EAI Viewer.xml " and place the below xml code in the file. save it.

  • TREX in cFolders

    Hi,
    TREX is already installed and working fine in EP. But in cFolders, we are not sure how to search by content using the TREX.
    What exact configuration need to be done in between SAP R/3 TREX to cFolders, so that we can search using TREX.
    Regards,
    Ani

    Hi Ani,
    once you have installed TREX and set up the RFC destination you need to go to transaction skpr06 and maintain the readiness for indexing for the cFolders document area CFF. It is not necessary to also classify the CFF area (it is sufficient to select the first checkbox).
    Next, call transaction skpr07 to specify the Document Class which is CFF_VERS for cFolders, specify the language and the DocArea, which is CFF. You also need to index your documents so that they are found in the full text search (might be time-consuming) and afterwards, schedule a periodic job to index new or changed files again.
    Please make also sure that TREX is generally activated within cFolders, for this please proceed as follows:
    1. Use a WebDAV client (such as Portal Drive or Microsoft Web Folders) and log on to the WebDAV Settings folder of the cFolders system. The user should have administrative authorization.
    2. Open the XML document called NETWORK.XML in the folder 'System Settings' for editing.
    3. Search for XML tag 'TREX_Metadatensuche'. Modify its value to "true".
    4. Save and exit.
    5. Re-login to cFolders.
    In case all configurations are correct, the message "The file contents are also also searched" is displayed in cFolders when you create a search request.
    Best regards,
    Silvia

    This problem was caused by a corrupted network.xml file in webdav.  I will inclose the debugging steps provided by sap consultant
    Go to transaction se24 and open class CL_CFX_SETTINGS_DOC and
    method GET_DOC. Then put an external breakpoint as shown below:
    get that phio thing
    CALL METHOD me->get_doc_phio << breakpoint here
    EXPORTING
    i_doc_loio = l_doc_io
    RECEIVING
    r_doc_phio = e_phio.
    Afterwards start cFolders and the debugger should be opened. Now check
    the content of below variables:
    M_DOC_NAME
    M_FOLDER_NAME
    The last values before the dump occurs stand for the corrupt XML file.
    This XML-file must be deleted in the WebDAV, upon logging on to cFoldersagain, the system will create a new one.
    For example, if M_DOC_NAME 'system' and M_FOLDER_NAME 'System Settings'
    should be returned before the dump, then this would mean that the
    'system.xml' in WebDav folder 'System settings' is damaged.
    The way to access the WebDAV is explained in the Configuration Guide forcFolders 4.0, chapter 'Creating the Settings URL for the WebDAV
    Access'. The guide is attached to note 973764.
    I had to debug 2 times to find the correct corrupted .xml file but after deleting it (network.xml) system is back up and working.

  • CProject Suite and WebDAV ...

    Hi all !
    created eternal alias in 'sicf' for <defaul_host/sap/cpro> named webdav;
    now i want to connect to this WebDAV folder via Portal Drive or open this URL as a webfolder in Internet Explorer ... for example http://<fqdn>.<port>/webdav/dpr for cProjects or http://<fqdn>.<port>/webdav/cfx/cwn for Folders; both doesn't work; error -> could not be opened as a webfolder in IE or 'path could not be found' in Portal Drive;
    something missconfigured ?
    need help !
    regards
    oliver

    Hi Jose,
    goto t-code 'sicf';
    create an external alias e.g. /<sid><client> pointing to /default_host/sap/cpro;
    [ don't forget to activate the service /default_host/sap/cpro ]
    use the URL http://<fqdn>.<port>/<external-alias>/cfx/cwn to connect to the cFolders documents with e.g. SAP Portal Drive;
    without an external-alias u can test it via URL http://<fqdn>.<port>/sap/cpro/cfx/cwn;
    hope this helps;

  • Settings URL for WebDAV Access

    Hi,
    I am not able to create the cFolders Settings URL for WebDAV Access. I have created an external alias "cfolders_webdav" & as per the syntax for URL --->
    <Protocol>://<Server>:<Port>/<External Alias settings>, I have created a URL  "http://etdspd01.corp.clp.com.hk:8000/cfolders_webdav". However this is not working.
    Can someone pl give any clue?
    Thanking you in advance.
    Regards
    Deepak

    Hi Jochen,
    Thank you for your reply once again. I was doing exactly the same thing that you've mentioned (plugging the URL into my browser). Later I realized my folly & created the WebDAV URL into "My Netwrok Places". Nevertheless your reply helped me confirm that what I was going in the right direction.
    I sub-question to the above topic. What role does WebDAV play in archiving of documents? How does it help in pushing the cFolders documents to a Document Management system?
    I would appreciate your inputs on this as well.
    Regards
    Deepak

    Hi Aby,
    see my answers below! Edited since somehow my XML example is not displayed - without success. Please send an e-mail.

    I was trying to upload a Change Master from R3 to cfolders using transaction CFE02
    Answer:  This is not a supported functionality. ECNs can not be exported through CFE02, but only published with the cFolders API CFX_S_API_WRITE. This was done explicitely not to hardwire Engineering Change Collaboration into SAP ERP backends only, but to be open to publish ECR/ECO from any type of "backend" tool.
    I entered the Change Number , copied objects to respective folder and executed . For material , it is throwing the following error
    {Invalid value 'HARW' has been entered for attribute 'Type' in namespace ''. Ask your system administrator to add value 'HARW' to the list of values allowed for this attribute}

    Answer: Your material type is not available in cFolders in the definition of the material. You need to extend the material attributes XML on the cFolders WebDAV directory, folder Attributes, file mat_Attributes.xml. This is also described in the cFolders configuration guide. If you have other customer-specific attributes that are to be exported, you may face similar issues as well.
    In essence, you need a new HARW entry here in the XML element "Type", labeled CFX_UI/MATERIAL_TYPE:
    <Attribute EntryRequired="true" ID="Type" Namespace="" ReadOnly="true">
      <Label Alias="CFX_UI/MATERIAL_TYPE" Default="" />
