WebDAV Link redirect

Hi Experts,
We are currently trying to redirect a link through apache web server to point to WebDAV link on UCM.
The desired output should be something like:
http://www.website.com/content/submit -> http://serverAddress:portNumber/_dav/cs/idcplg/webdav/Contribution Folders/RootFolder/SubFolder/
The redirect is done on the WebTier level on an apache web server.
Now the problems we’re facing are:
•     Using Windows explorer, we’re not able to connect to the WebDAV folder using the redirected address but we’re able using the original UCM server address. It keeps asking for credentials and never authenticates.
•     Using some tools, we are able to authenticate and access the folder, but when we access the folder specified in the connection, we always see a duplicate of this folder that is not accessible. I mean if we access </SubFolder/SubSub1> we will see the content in that folder and another folder named <SubSub1>.
Any suggestions for those errors or on how to handle such case of required redirect is really appreciated.
Thanks,
Abdallah

HI,
Try Open DNS / Free-Basic to avoid redirects.

  • All links redirect to home

Hey- I dont understand what i'm doing wrong
    I made my site
    www.freeridesammamish.com
    published to the web
and now all the links redirect to home, even though it will go to the different pages in Iweb
    what am i doing wrong!
Update- now it no longer redirects to home, but none of the buttons work
I have enabled them as Menu things and I made sure to have the Make hyperlinks inactive box unchecked
Further Update- on some of the pages, the links work, but on the home page as well as others, they do not... how do i fix this?

You have a large background image on both your Home and Shoutouts pages which is obscuring the navigation bar. Pull this further down the page in iWeb until it no longer overlaps the navigation bar, publish again, and you should be back in business.

  • Twitter links redirect me to Linkbucks

    Hi Guys!
I've a problem, when I open a link in a tweet on Twitter App on iPhone/iPad or on my laptop, every link redirect me on LinkBucks.
Why I've this problem? Any solution?
    Thanks a lot!

I have a very similar problem, but on my iPhone Twitter app. Any link on my twitterfeed, when clicked from within the iPhone Twitter App, is redirecting to p**n sites via 4-5 redirection steps starting with something called gearse dot com. This is happening with ANY link on the timelines of any user I follow, including news sites, technology sites and so forth.
If I open Twitter via twitter dot com on a browser (iOS Safari or Chrome), this problem is not occurring, and I can open links just as usual. But the same links, when tapped (to click) within the Twitter app, redirects to these questionable sites. I have absolutely no clue how this happened. It is possibly the work of some malware, but I thought malwares didn't run on iOS, and I don't use my phone ever to visit any questionable sites.
So far, I have uninstalled and re-installed the Twitter App, to no avail. From the website, I revoked the access of iOS apps, which forced me to relogin to Twitter in order to use it, but that didn't help either.
I hope you find a solution, because that may help me as well.

  • Issue with normal page link redirecting to SSO page / forbidden page

    Hi,
I am having an issue with a number of pages within my portal.
I have a 'List of Objects' that has been working for some time, each link in the list linked to another page.
Just lately a number of pages that are linked to within this list are not loading correctly.
When one of the items is selected, the correct page is initially displayed, but then after a couple of seconds the page is redirected to the 'Single Sign-On' page, or alternatively the page is redirected to a 'Forbidden' page with this error:
    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login on this server.
(This page will also show up after the user tries to login when the page is redirected to the SSO page).
As well as this issue occuring at the front end, the same issue is happening when the pages are loaded from the back end, in the Navigator.
This issue is even happening when the page is opened up in 'edit' mode using the ORCLADMIN user.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!!
    Amanda.

  • Using Safari on iPad Links Redirect

My ipad is fairly new, Dec 31. I didn't have any problems at first. I don't know if the problem is apps or internet. When I try to click on links in Safari, sometimes it redirects. Not every single time, but enough to be a big problem. I click on normal links like apple.com and it redirects to various websites. I came to the forum first, I read there was a problem on Snow Leopard/Mac same issue and there were some links provided that helped them, and should also help me, but I wanted to make sure I'm not the only one? The only apps I've gotten so far are free, which might be the problem, possibly malware or whatever kind of virus you would get after downloading. I believe the ipad/macs don't have viruses... sort of.... there could be some other issues: http://www.reedcorner.net/guides/macvirus/isitmalware.shtml - thanks Thomas A Reed for the link at this thread:http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12744200#12744200
I called my internet provider. They said it was not them and for me to call apple support. I called apple support (transferred three times) the technician said they hadn't heard of it before, put me on hold, then we discussed the thread I mentioned earlier. The first thing he had me do was go to Settings, Safari, clear cache, clear cookies (history too?). Then go back to General, Reset, and reset all settings. Then I was told to hold the home and off buttons at the same time until the apple appeared (let go) and it restarts. Got off the phone and he emails me a link to backup and restore, did that. Then I checked and it still had redirects.
I thought I'd remove apps, I deleted about half from my itunes, cleared cache etc and restarted, same redirect problems. So right now I'm debating on deleting the rest of my apps or changing the ip address, or simply calling apple back. I just tried two different link and it didn't redirect, but it did it last night, so it's not happening every time.

I did the restore as new, had to send it to apple to be repaired. Went through all of that and was told there was no issue. I just got it back and it appears to not be redirecting at all, so that's good. BUT to my disappointed my $40 screen protector was removed! I called to complain, to no avail. Very sad I will have to get another screen protector. As of right now I have that thin plastic sheet that it came in to protect it. I have kids, of course I need a really good screen protector. Kind of sad, although they did tell me not to send any accesories with the ipad, I did not, except for the screen protector because I didn't want it wasted and didn't think it would keep them from doing their diagnotics and testings. Thank you apple I do like your customer service and it was fast and friendly, that was my only gripe. So happy to have it back!

  • Link redirect to file://

    Hello all,
I've been searching the Internet for an answer to my question and I really can't seem to find one- at least one that I can understand. Recently I was on a website, clicked on a link to a file and was redirected to a file:// (file URL) that showed a list of some of my local files.
This hasn't happened to me before and I'm wondering if my computer was somehow compromised? Did this website attempt to access my files? If so, were they successful? How can I know?
I don't believe I dragged anything onto the address bar and didn't type it in myself (I had no idea I could access any personal files via URL address bar).
Any help to ease my mind would be great.
    Thanks,
    Ange

    Hi Ange007,
The easiest way to tell is to try this:
    # From the page that you found yourself at the file:// url, please click on the back button. If you hover over the url that you clicked on, does the url have a file:// in front of it? I only ask, because this would explain that the website put the url there or it may mean malware.
    # Another way to look, if you have already closed the session is to check the history, Go to History > Show all history > and look for the timestamp from yesterday or older. It is possible that to get back to that page.
If there was an infection you could try this.
Try to boot your Mac in Safe Mode.

  • Clicking a link redirects and downloads instead of opening what should open

Every link i clicked any link which would normally open a page I was redirected to my downloads and Firefox dowloaded a file which was useless and not able to be accessed, prbably because i wasnt trying to download anything, rather i was trying to open a web page. Seems to have stopped diong it for now but it was doing this for anything i clicked . Didnt restart or anything just tried it again and now the clicks seem to be working fine again.
Also not sure if its related but Firefox continues to shut down unexpectedly with no explanation.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
    See:

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • When I use a search engine in Firefox, the links redirect me to some spam, and not the site the search engine found.

When I use a search engine in Firefox, whether it be google, or Yahoo, the links found by the search engine, re-direct me somewhere else. For instance when I searched for Places to Buy PC Games. www.gamestop.com popped up. When I clicked the link, it took me to some laptop hardware site. But if I type in the url for Gamestop, it takes me to their website. This has happened for several searches, several different links. I tried Internet Explorer thinking it may be a problem with the search engines. But IE is working fine for this.

This type of behaviour can be caused by malware. Try running several malware scanners. It is best to run several as each will pick up things that the others miss. Some scanners you can try are:
    * [http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php Malwarebytes]
    * [http://www.superantispyware.com/ SUPERAntiSpyware]
    * [http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php Ad-Aware]

  • Google Search Link Redirect

I might be paranoid, but i just did a google search for a website and was redirected to another site after clicking on the google search link.
I tried going directly to the website by typing the name in the browser and it worked fine. A did a google search again for the same wesbsite, clicked on the link like before, and it worked fine like normal. Other google searches seem to be fine.
Do I have something to worry about as far as malware or viruses on my computer, or is it possible google, or the website I was trying to go to, is infected? Or, is it nothing?
I would really appreciate any feedback.
    Thanks.

I would not be to worried about it, perhaps a glitch in the search engine. You could reset Safari if that is the browser you use, just read the list of items it resets and make sure you are happy to remove that information.

  • Can firefox be the source of malicious link redirects if virus checkers come up with nothing?

I have recently begun getting redirects off of links displayed in google searches to advertising sites. I had never seen this before. I have microsoft essentials loaded and with a full scan shows no malware. I also ran the kapursky rescue disk scan - also no results. I also ran the TDSSKILLER rootkit tool, again with no alerts. Is there any evidence that the firefox browser or plugins can be compromised without detection by ant-virus software? The number of these incidents really seems to point away from corruption of all these destination websites.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

  • Plugin check 'Update Now' link redirects to itself

Google Earth Plugin is vulnerable and has an 'Update Now' link. It just redirects to itself.

I clicked on "http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/"; it showed Google Earth version "7.1.1.1871" as "up to date". I noticed that one of my Adobe plugins needed to be updated, so I clicked on the "Update Now"; updated the application and went back to the "http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/" and it still shows that it needs to be updated. I suspect I need to close Firefox and restart Firefox. I'll let you know once I restart.
Update: Yep, the restart was the issue. All of my plugins are showing "up to date". I stand corrected; I didn't restart Firefox when I made my comment. I will correct my original with a note to restart Firefox before checking on the plugin status.
I went to www.google.com, clicked on "Maps" and when the map display selected "Earth". It worked, I was able to view my home.
I clicked on "http://www.google.com/earth/plugin/error.html" and it displayed ""There was a problem with the Google Earth Plugin. Please try reloading the page." I would just ignore the message; I am a user, not tech support.

  • Link redirect to App Store

When clicking on legit links within Facebook or Safari, and while using legit sites like Shutterfly or trying to use a legit search box on a common shopping site, I am randomly redirected instead to the App Store, and I never get to see the intended link or type in the search box or whatever. It's like there's something over-laying invisibly, and it's as if I'm clicking inadvertently a viral-acting link instead of what I intend to tap. To my knowledge, I have not downloaded any foolish apps (at least I hope I'm not being mislead by "honest" companies), and this has been happening for a week. The problem is that it's also happening on my Windows 7 laptop, and I'm afraid that backing up my iphone on it has either caused the "virus" to go to my iPhone or vice versa. Either way, can anyone help? Is this happening to anyone else? I have deleted my Facebook and social media apps and even some others, and would delete Safari if I could. I've deleted all of the browsing data and cookies I could find on my iPhone, and it's still happening if I try to use Safari to test it out.
What else do you need to know to help?

If you're having the same problem on both a Windows laptop and an iPad, either the sites in question have been hacked in the same way, or your network itself has been compromised somehow. I'd guess that you probably have a wireless router that has been hacked. See:
How to manage a hacked wireless router
There is no known malware capable of infecting an iPad that hasn't been jailbroken (ie, hacked to allow apps from outside the App Store). Besides which, there's no malware at all capable of infecting both an iPad and a Windows machine. So it's not possible that this is being caused by malware.

  • Very strange problem: some links redirect to an old wifi network

When I use my public libraries wifi I have no problem. It's afterward that the reign of terror begins. When I'm back home, even though I'm not connected to the library wifi anymore, if I click on some links (for example, the link at the top of a RES reddit link), I get rerouted to a library page that says the page isn't found.
I am thinking it must be a dns lookup or domainname lookup issue or something, but my resolv.conf looks exactly normal, and I'm not sure where else to look. Any thoughts you have would be much appreciated.
    Thanks
PS - I should note that this never happens with any other wifi network I connect to. Only the Public Library one.

You did not mention which browser you use, but try clearing your browser cache.  At the library, use whatever private or incognito mode your browser supports.  I suspect they are modifying content on-the-fly to either "Improve your experience" or to monitor your actions.
