Webdav won't allow a put operation...
Hi,
I decided I want to muck around with webdav on my
Mac 10.4.6 client Apache 1.3x stock install.
I enabled the loading of the mod_dav module in
the httpd.conf and added:
DAVLockDB "/Library/WebServer/DAVlock"
<Directory "/Library/WebServer/Documents/webdav">
DAV On
AuthType basic
AuthName "WEBDAV"
AuthUserFile /etc/httpd/passwd
Require valid-user
</Directory>
The lock file has rw perms for www/www
I can authenticate and access the webdav
page and from my linux box do ls and gets
but the PUT operation always fails.
If I do a connect to server locally with
the finder "Connect to server..." any
attempt to drag a file to the webdav
window fails with a bizarre message about
file name possibly too long or invalid characters.
Any PUT operation leaves the following in
error_log

Judging from the lack of info "out there" I am either
the first person to try this or the most unlucky...
Has anyone been successful in getting the webdav
stuff to work with the stock apache?

The Solution was simple...
I changed
DAVLockDB "/Library/WebServer/DAVlock"
to
DAVLockDB "/Library/WebServer/DAVlock/"

Problem with the PUT operation some files won't transfer help please
Hi everyone,
I am using DWCS3 on OS X Leoard 10.5 and MAMP
I am putting together a basic index.html page and then I want to template it. Pretty basic stuff.
However when I want to view the index.html page in my MAMP testing server, In the middle of the PUT operation I get a message saying;
File activity incomplete 1 file or folder was not completed.
index.html - Put operation successful
- error occurred - An error occurred - cannot put . An unknown error occurred.
css:index.css - same - not transferred

I am aware that files are not transferring over to the testing server but I don't understand why or how to fix the problem. I don't think the problem lies with the path from Dreamweaver to the testing server because I have been working on the page and viewing it in the testing server. It's only just started displaying the message above and not passing some of the files over. It will for example pass the index.css page over.
I have copied the code over for index.html, SpryMenuBar.js, SpryMenuBarHorizontal.ccs and SpryMenuBarVertical.css.
In the hope that someone will not mind taking a look at this for me.

Taking that call changed his life forever; because it ended up with the 59-year-old grandfather with no previous convictions to his name being found guilty of drug smuggling. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison. background: #FFF;I've only encountered two instances where the PUT operation failed on certain files. One, the server does not like the particular file type, and two, when the file was open in another program.
Other than that, I could only guess that it may have something else to do with the web server configuration and not DW. -
Photos won't import images from my Canon camera. When connected, program sees the images, tells me it will import the new ones, then freezes once import starts, not allowing any other operation to happen. MacbookPro 15" 2012, OSX Yosemite 10.10.3. Any suggestions?
Solution discovered. Faulty connector cable. Tried a different one and it worked.

I'm trying to backup my iphone and restore it because the screen has gone black. It won't allow me to do anything without putting in the passcode. I can't put in the passcode because the screen is black.
Try rebooting it (hold home and power together for 15-20 seconds). If the display doesn't come back to life, you're out of luck. You're supposed to back it up before it fails. It's too late to do so after the fact.

If it has letters it is not a serial number. It is likely a redemption code.

Template won't allow me to put in title or tags
Hello
I have created a template but when I come to put a title in the pages when I try it save it it won't allow me to. Is there something wrong with my program or am I doing something wrong?
How do I insert title and tags etc. into pages derived from the master template (if that's the right word!). Is it done from the template itself?

There is nothing to input because your licensing system isn't functional. Reinstall the software properly using the full suite installer, not some obscure single app installers or whatever you mean by "backup".

Any one in FrameMaker 11 having ANY luck of any kind with a check out rev controlled doc management system for a team? So far, CMS won't work with FM11. SharePoint 12 doesn't work with FM11. And the Browse URL won't allow input of any kind no matter what direction I approach at. I have been to preferences, allowing checkout of HTTP files on open, and upload HTTP files on save, but nothing works yet.
I can check out and return from SP13 from the web, but all links are lost, and only embedded information carries over.
Any suggestions and input would be valued.
I didn't want to go Ditta simply because the company has SharePoint and it was supposed to be compatible. It isn't, so I need a back door.
I would rather not run two systems for Doc Control if I don't have to. There is much to do, and dividing resources is a waste that I would prefer to avoid.

How do i get rid of warning popups from FF like FF won't allow this page to open?
Simply put every time I try to open a page Firefox always pops up a warning box that says do I want to allow FF to open this page or some other such nonsensical idiocy! If I didn't want to open the blasted page would I have entered it in the first bloody place? I have my pop ups enabled for all pop ups already and that does not work either. What I want is this- NO WARNINGS FROM FF ABOUT ANYTHING AT ALL!!- How do I accomplish this major miracle? I run Firefox 3.6.16 because FF4 crashes more than 16 does. 16 works like crap too and won't allow imports from IE or Opera, Chrome or Orca or even Cometbird. That seems to work for when I run the page through the iSupplier portal. However I noticed during development when I am testing the page on my computer, I am still getting this message? Is there anyway to get rid of it on the client side? I assume that profile is set correctly on the development instance which you are using from JDEV.
Sometimes you need apache bounce to make sure the profile option change come into effect.
So do a apache bounce.

How can I access my apps? They are all greyed out in itunes. I have tried restoring my iphone to factory settings but that didn't work. I have a feeling it may have something to with the restrictions settings on my phone restrictions are on) but it won't allow me to change the restrictions without putting in a passcode. I don't remember ever having a passcode and after several attempts have not been able to get the right code.
Also. on my phone, in settings, personal hotspot, iCloud and Twitter are greyed out. And, the App Store icon is missing from my screen as well.
Can anybody help me with this?

With regards to doing a restore, do you mean:
open itunes on my computer
click on my device on the left
go to the device summary
click restore
it then asks if i want to back up before i restore (to which i say no)
then it asks me if i'm sure I want to restore to factory settings and that all of me media and data will be erased and replaced with the newest version ( to which I say yes)
then it takes about 90 mins to do this but when I look at my phone, everything is exactly the same.
Am I missing something? Obviously I'm technologically challenged, but I HAVE to get to the bottom of this! -
I am trying to backup my Itunes onto my external hard drive. I am at the step where I on Itunes, click on File ->Library ->Organize library. I am suppose to check mark both boxes there, the first being "Consolidate Files" & the second being "Reorganize files in the folder 'Itunes Media'. I am able to checkmark the first box but It won't allow me to check mark the second box, why? How can i fix this? Please help!
Well you must have made a mistake somewhere. The last instruction of step four reads:
When you've found your iTunes library folder, drag that folder to your external hard drive. This will begin the iTunes backup. The amount of time the backup will take depends on the size of your library. When the transfer is done, your backup is complete and your external hard drive can be disconnected.
Normally dragging content from to a new location on a different drive will result in a copy action which is what you were supposed to do. At a guess you somehow managed to move the iTunes folder. Then when you started iTunes it created a new blank library for you assuming it had just been installed rather that raising a warning.
Close iTunes. Rename the iTunes folder on the internal drive as iTunes (Empty) then copy the iTunes folder from the external back into the User's Music folder. Start iTunes. All should be well.
When you've made sure it all works please read my User Tip and use that method to backup in future. Since you already have a folder with the backup in place you can skip the "Make New" operation in the fourth step and simply choose the external folder.
