WebDynpro Abap test failed (System admin/suport)

Hello,
I'm using EP 7.0 and I'm trying to test travel&expenses (Ehp3) WD for Abap from System Admin/Support Desk: Integration of SAP Applications/WebDynpro and we get the following error: Exception in SAP Application Integrator occured: Unable to parse template...the problem occured at position 275. Cannot process expression <IView.PCDUnit.ShortID> because Unable to get PCD Unit com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.WebDynpro.
System contector test is ok. Please, could you help me?

Ok, I forget system connector and support tests. Web AS parameter are supposed to be ok:
Web AS Host Name: host.domain:port (from smicm tx)
Web AS Host Name: /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/
Web AS Protocol: http
but the SAP Web AS Connection test fails. When trying to execute the iView it works. Does it mean that is it correct? Why WAS connection test fails?
In the other hand, when iView is displayed, it asks for user and password because the R/3 user is locked. Why R/3 user is locking everytime?

Webdynpro abap application attached to SWFVISU is tested from se80

when webdynpro ABAP application is attached to workitem in SWFVISU the the workitem id is passed via url when calling the application. (though the url seen in the application in se80 in the webdynrpo abap component does not have workitem id paramter)

I am running this application from se80 - application - right click - test. (this is required to troubleshoot one of the issues.)
at this time it does not ask for workitem id and directly runs the application . It picks the same workitem id everytime. I tried doing this with a couple of different user ids. but I cant figure out from where it picks this particular workitem id. the status of this workitem is complete in the system.

It is required to have a parameter WI_ID (as an Application parameter) in your WDA. And via this Application parameter WDA will receive the workitem id, when the task is exceuted from UWL (provided configuration is done in swfvisu)
Could you confirm, there is no Application parameter (WI_ID) in your WDA?
It picks the same workitem id everytime. I tried doing this with a couple of different user ids. but I cant figure out from where it picks this particular workitem id
If you defined WI_ID in Application parameter and there is an option to provide value and it seems, you have defined some value over there or other way might be in your method (inbound plug), you may gave default value to WI_ID in the parameter
If your application is working properly from UWL and for testing purpose, you could put a breakpoint and change the workitem id, when executing from se80

I think you are using the IDES system, Can you check the services in SICF transaction. If the service is not activated you activate it again.
In this path you will find in the below path and try to check/activate the services relevant to the WDA stack.

Workflow configuration error - System Account connection test failed

Hi,
Has anybody faced a problem with Workflow configuration? The version we are using is 2.6.2 on Oracle database 9.2.0.5 on AIX5L. The workflow installation from 9.2.0.1 installation CDs goes through without any problem. But when the workflow configuration tool comes up it fails with the following error.
"SYSTEM account connection test failed".
The system and sys accounts are fine as verified by sqlplus. Any help is greatly appreciated.

We had this problem on 2 machines.
On the 1st machine, we tried the local install option after a few days (Local option with no connect string) and it worked with no problems!
On the 2nd machine, we could never get it to work even after opening a tar with Oracle. Finally we did a remote install from the 1st machine into the database on the 2nd machine. During the remote install while running wfinstall on the 1st machine, we just had to choose the remote option and the database service name for the connect string.

User authentication failed when user is locked by system admin

Hello!
We have EP 6.0 (SP 18) and ABAP Backed 6.40 (SP21). UME is connected to the backend system for user managment.
When we try to log on to EP with a user that is locked by the system admin in the backend, the message shown is "User authentication failed".
Should it be possible to show a message as "User locked by system admin", for the user to know the reason?

HP Pavilion DV7; System will not boot; Memory Test Failed using Advanced System Diagnostics

Not sure exactly how, but I managed to contracted several variants of the nasty Rovnix virus and now my system will not even boot into Safe Mode after trying to restore to several different restore points. Enabled bootlogging, but not sure how to retrieve the log.
Currently am able to get into HP Advanced Diagnostics and began Start-Up Test. Test failed on Memory Module:
Failure ID: Q0AE6C-5LS79T-MFH15G-406N03
Any next steps or directional assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

The webdynpro/ABAP (WDA) calling RFC enabled FM of other ECC systems

The webdynpro/ABAP (WDA) has problem calling RFC enabled FM of other ECC systems.
WDA expects all the ABAPs, RFC FMs of remote system(DEV, QA..) to reside inside its own instance.
It is hard to transport and maintain these ABAPs FMs into a portal ABAP WDA instance.
Proxy generation at WDA client:

1. If we can make an XI enable an ABAP or RFC enabled FM of the remote ECC,
I think the XI proxy classes can be generated at the client WDA system.
Other options?
How do I do it? Can you give some tips.
2. How do I manually code the RFC Call to BAPI/FM from Webdynpro controller or other interface?
I am stuck with the above as the webservice option is not available at our ECC server. It does not have a java engine installed for webservice to be available.

I am doing same thing for my current SRM implementation.I am taking data to SRM server from another R/3 server .
This is solution I have used
1) First of all I have made ABAP connection in SM59 .
Go to SM59 .In ABAP Connection creat ABAP connection with system with which u want communicate .
Eg I am connection with Systems PB1.
So i developed Connection call PB1CLNT800.
2) In my requirement I have taken data in my context from another r/3,
I have give called RFC in my supply function of node.
Call to RFC is as usual.
In my case,
CALL FUNCTION 'RFC_MATNR'
DESTINATION 'PB1CLNT800'
TABLES
IT_MATNR = IT_MATNR.
Onwards I have read my itab IT_MATNR and populated data to context.
Hope solution will serve your purpose.
Give point if it works .If any problem i have other ways.

I try to do a System Connection Tests for my system landscape and some part of the test failed.. Anyone have idea what is wrong with the configuration. Below are the test result and mainly are the HTTP/S connection and user mapping failed.
Test Details:
The test consists of the following steps:

Read file system from webdynpro ABAP

Hi All,
I wanted to check how the files in the client file system be read from a webdynpro ABAP.
I cannot use cl_guifrontend_services method directory_get_list as it gives dump sayin there is no proper GUI running.

1) Activated all services
2) In Integration builder, receiver communication channel make sure you have entered proper
host service number
path = /sap/xi/enigne?type = receiver.
3)Go to SU01 > type PIISUSER and reset the user's pw

1.Did you maintain Client, userid, password, and lang information in SICF transaction -> sap/xi/engine? Double click on service and check whether you have entered correct information.
2.Then you might check the roles of the XIISUSER in SU01. In some case there are some double roles, i.e., two times the role SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER assigned. One might have the date of the last update, the other one might have apparently the older version. Delete the older roles manually and the error should disappear.
3.to send messages to xi you need a service id / pwd which is specific to your landscape usually its xiappluser. Contact your basis group for password.
4.
- Activated all services on the r3 system.
- Create HTTP connection to XI from r3
sm59-> http connetons to r3
- let us say you have created a HTTP connection in the integrationserver_XI, make sure in its settings the prefix path is set to /sap/xi/engine?type=entry. Also check its log on credentials, you can use xiappluser.
- IN Integration builder, receiver communication channel make sure you have entered proper
host service number
path = /sap/xi/enigne?type = receiver.
5. can you also try the following;
Visual Admin -> start the service,
"com.sap.aii.af.ms.app".

Error Parameter WI_ID contains an invalid value in webdynpro abap

Hi Experts,
i am working with webdynpro abap and using work flow in my component , here i am getting error and the error is
Parameter WI_ID contains an invalid value .
its showing the error in windows parameter : wi_id and the wi_id is type sww_wiid
and the same parameter i am using in application parameter .
can u suggest me how to use this parameter wi_id in window parameter and application parameter and what the type should be for wi_id parameter.and what the value should be for application parameter wi_id.

i have given the application parameter wi_id with type string also but in 120 client (development) is working fine. when i test in 130 client( testing) its going to dump.
what should be given to application value i given parameter wi_id and what the value should be there.
