WebDynpro Application Page

Hi All:
I created one WD Application. This page only contains 6 input fields and a Submit button. I developed and deployed the page, but when I am opening this application, page open successfully, but whole page is disable. I cannot enter any text even cannot click on Send button.
What can be the problem? I checked all the elements visibility they are set to "visible" and enable option is also true for all.
Thanks
Farooq

Hi,
The reason that the fields and the button are disabled is that the context nodes that you have bound them to are of the cardinality 0..n.
In such cases you will have to manually create the context attributes.
To do this you will have to:
1.) Create a Node object.
2.) Create the subnode object (if any)
3.) Create as many elements as you need using a for loop
4.) Set the attributes for each element using the setXXX() methods for each element
All this is done usually in the init() of the Compononet Controller.
Use the Java Development Manual available at the SCN in case of more issues.

    Now I want to know the answers for below questions
    1)Can we  embed a url iview it in to the above created Webdynpro Application page in portal.I tried for it but couldnu2019t do so.
    2)So,as an alternative I created a Page,added the above created Webdynpro Application page and a url iview to that page.Now that url iview is displayed along with the Webdynpro iview.Bot the problem is url iview is getting refreshed when ever I click a button in the webdynbpro application view .It even refreshes when I select a table row in webdynpro.
    Please let me know if we can prevent url iview to refresh.

    Hi,
    >1)Can we embed a url iview it in to the above created Webdynpro Application page in portal.I tried for it but couldnu2019t do so.
    No, I don't think so.
    >Please let me know if we can prevent url iview to refresh.
    For the parent page which hosts both the WD and the URL iview, set the property Isolation Method to URL. You can find this property under the property category Load.

  • How to Call a WebDynpro application through html page.

    I have created a webDynpro application.How can i call this application through a html page?
    Thanks
    Pankaj Kumar

    Hi,
       You can add a link to your HTML page and set the anchor reference to the absolute URL of your WD application.
       The absolute URL of your WD application looks like
    http://<j2ee server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/<wd component name>/<application name>
       So your HTML code will look like:
    <a href="http://<j2ee server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/<wd component name>/<application name>">Link</a>

  • Error on page when navigating with in webdynpro applications

    Hi All,
    I have developed 5 different webdynpro applications. I need to navigate between these webdynpro applications. I am handling the navigation with in the webdynpro applications.
    The problem is after some time ( after navigating to the second or third level) when I try to click on the tabs(top level navigation), the JAVA SCRIPT ERROR is coming.
    And any other tabs are not coming.
    ERROR is: 'Error on page'
    ERROR Description is:'Problems with the web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioned properly'
    Any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Seshu

    Hi !,
    Please can you tell me what to do if you DO NOT want to destroy the source application when navigating away from it?
    For example...  Webdynpro App #1 calls Webdynpro App #2,
    Webdynpro App #1 will always stay visible and available to the user in there toolbar in the portal.  However after I click "Go" to trigger the navigation to Webdynpro App #2, then the next time I hit "Go", Webdynpro Application was destroyed out of memory I believe.

  • Closing a webdynpro application, should call a portal page

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement in which, after a webdynpro application is closed in portal, the portal should show the workset content from which the webdynpro application is triggered.
    For example,
    Wedynpro application Created is  ZWDA1.
    Two iviews are created in portal which refers to the webdynpro application ZWDA1, the portal Iview names are ZPORTAL_IVIEW1, ZPORTAL_IVIEW2.
    Two worksets ZWORKSET1 & ZWORKSET2 are created in portal which refers to Iview ZPORTAL_IVEW1 and ZPORTAL_IVEW2 respectively.
    Two roles ZROLE1 & ZROLES2 are created in portal which refers to workset ZWORKSET1 & ZWORKSET2 resepectively. These two roles are assigned to users ZUSER1 and ZUSER2, when these user logs into portal they will see the content of the  workset ZWORKSET1 & ZWORKSET2 respectively.
    Assuming ZUSER1 and ZUSER2 invokes the portal ivew ZPORTAL_IVEW1 & ZPORTAL_IVEW2, the underlying webdynpro application called is same. So in the webdynpro application only I need to write the code to close the application and call the workset ZWORKSET1 for ZUSER1 and workset ZWORKSET2 FOR ZUSER2. This differentiation I am not able to indentify in webdynpro application, I thought of using relative navigation.
    Any suggestion to achieve this functionality is greatly appreciatable

    H.K.Hayath Basha.

  • SSO b/w portal and webdynpro application customized login??

    Hi,
    I  have one webdynpro application which has a login screen (Created as Webdynpro view). If user enters user/passord, the same gets checked from a custom table in the db (Method for checking user credtentials has been written in view controller). if user credentials are correct it performs some actions defined in webdynpro application.
    I want to configure SSO b/w portal and this webdynpro application sothat when user logon to the portal and open this webdypro application, Login page of webdynpro application should not be shown i.e user credentials should be passed from portal and corresponding authentication method in webdynpro should be called to authenticate the user.
    How to do the same without touching webdypro application ?
    Can we call a method of webdynpro application from portal?
    Regards
    Deepak

    1) To enable ticket authentication for the web dynpro iviews, you must maintain the definition of the system running the Web Dynpro application and set logon method to "SAPLOG"
    2)Since you have customized login screen, you need to bypass this screen manually when you login from portal.
    Add parameter to the application while defining the iview.Give some constant value.
    Check value of this parameter in webdynpro and fire to next view.

  • Print button on my webdynpro JAVA page

    Hi Experts,
    Is there any way that I can include a print button on my webdynpro JAVA page. ON click of the Print button I have to print the entire Page. User is able to print the page by using the print option of Browser, but in that case if the page is having a vertical or horizontal scroll, print output will contain only the visible part.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sarath Satheesan

    Hi Sarath,
    Printing Web Dynpro Java (WDJ) applications is one of the missing functionalities that everyone wants to have in their application. you can use third party open source reporting tool, JasperReports, to solve this issue

  • WebDynpro Application issue consuming asynchronous webservice from SAP PI

    Hello experts i ask you for help thie following issue:
    i am developing a webdynpro application which is supposed to
    send some data from inputfields, and a file, in order to achieve it, that dynpro application is consuming an asyncrhronous webservice , this service is running in SAP Process integration .it uses only a component.
    Iam having serious problems at mapping the asynchronous PI web service model -->to -->controller >and then to->view
    since when i deploy the application into the  SAP portal´s application server, it runs , but  inputfields cannot be written.i dont mean unabled, what i mean, is. cannot write anything on them.ECXEPT the file upload UI element.
    I have reviewed sap help page, 3 sappress books, about dynpro, and the procedure i am performind is agree with them.
    endpoint test answers the folloiwng:
    Message Servlet is in Status OK

    what i did is the same as before(in another projects weh i used to import rfc models):
    1.- import webservice model,and add it to component
    2.-map web service model to controller context
    3.-map controller´s context to view context
    4.-create actions and methods
    5.-binding context controller to ui elements
    Dear experts, my questions are:
    What am i doing wrong?
    should i permorm another steps because the web service is in another application server (SAP PI)?
    Should i create a stand alone proxy and then access it from webdynpro?
    when i call the web service model excution it seems does not run, neverthless the invocation does not have any syntax error , what coul it be?
    Thanx in advance!!

    just for the sake of other who may hit this thread , the solution is to add sap-client=<clientno> in the url for wsdl

    Hello,
    What you have to do is create an iview for Webdynpro Application which you deployed on the portal ....add it to the workset and the role ....then copy the PCD Location of it and then goto the ECC SPRO -> Cross Application Components -> Home Page Framework -> create a new Resource and specify the PCD Location in the URL of the PCD Column of it ...then create a Service ...assign the resorce created for it ...and then finally add the Service to the SubArea you want and it will show in the portal under that SubArea like Personaol Information or others....
    Hope it helps.

  • Issues while running a WebDynpro Application through portal.

    Hi,
    I am trying to execute a webdynpro application through portal and facing some issues. I hope to get a significant help from the experts:
    > Initially, a report is called from the portal which in turns calls the WebDynpro Application.
    > After this, I am again trigerring "FIRE" event in order to go back to report.
    At this step, portal shows a message "The Page Can Not be Displayed". Browser link field contains the event name which I am passing to the Fire Event.
    Can anybody let me know the root cause for this issue? Below is the piece of code that I am using for navigating from Webdynpro to Report.
            l_sapgui_manager->fire(
              EXPORTING
                name = 'INDI'
            parameters = lt_parameters ).
    lt_parameters contains some field values which are required in the report.

  • Embed a webdynpro application IC

    Hi
    We have the following problem when embedding a webdynpro application in an IView in the portal.
    Problem:
    When user leaves the webdynpro application by clicking on some other link or button(in interaction center) it seems that wdDoExit in the webdynpro application is not called.
    Background:
    This is not a problem if the user runs interaction center from the SAP Gui through transaction "crm_ic". Then wdDoExit IS called in the wd application.
    In the case when the wdDoExit method is not called we have started the IC web app from a portal page which in turn includes a standard IC Web app IView.
    Question:
    How can this be solved? We don't think that we are doing something wrong since there exist a standard IView for interaction center in the portal. Is it an Iframe problem? Since the IC is wrapped in an Iframe when called from the portal.

  • Refresh problem of Webdynpro application which is wrapped in a BSP IFrame

    I have a BSP Iframe inside which I am calling a webdynpro application ('zwdc_re_replenishment'). The requirement is that this WD application should be reloaded whenever a timeout occurs. Currently, when there is a timeout, an error is shown.
    In order to achieve this, for this WD Application , I have a SICF node to which I have attached a customized Errorpage via the option 'Redirect URL'.
    Whenever the WD application undergoes a timeout error, my custom error page is called which is named as errorpage.htm. On this page in the 'OnInitialization event', I try to call the WD application URL again (via the following code) which should reload the application. But instead I get a blank page.
    CALL METHOD cl_wd_utilities=>construct_wd_url
      EXPORTING
        application_name = 'zwdc_re_replenishment'
      IMPORTING
        out_absolute_url = lv_def_url.
    response->redirect( url         = lv_def_url
                        permanently = 1 ).
    Just as a note I have already tried out the following methods as well but nothing works
    *navigation->exit( lv_def_url ).
    *navigation->call_application( lv_def_url ).
    Is this because my WD application is inside a BSP Iframe and therefore reloading it manually does not work ?
    Please help!
    Thanks.
    Sukanya

    Hi Thomas,
    First of all, thanks a lot for replying !!
    Sorry for the confusion. Although seems like you have answered my question already.
    Actually the requirement for embedding WDA inside a BSP Iframe came up since there are some WD report applications  that are accessed by very controlled environments in which the users were not able to close the WDA session directly (without the IFrame)  and were getting some errors. Hence the WDAs had to be wrapped inside BSP IFrame which solved the above problem.
    I am working with only one BSP app which has the Iframe and one WD app which is called within the BSP app.
    Now, the other requirement that came up was that whenever the WDA session inside the BSP IFrame expires, there should be no error page and instead the WD app should be reloaded.
    So  I was trying to reload the WD App in the following way.
    1. For the SICF node of WDA, I attached an errorpage.htm for all the tabs under the tab 'Error Pages'. I have defined this errorpage.htm inside the same BSP App which has got another default.htm page. So the BSP App has 2 views : default.htm which has the IFrame and Errorpage.htm.
    2. So now when the WDA expires, the events of errorpage.htm are called like OnInitialization, In this event I was calling the methods navigation->exit( 'URL of the same WDA' ).
    I did this because I wanted to reload the WDA whenever it expires. I tried to specify the WDA Url in the SICF node of the same WDA in 'Redirect URL' under the Error Page tabs but it didnot work.
    Now I realize this is not gonna work. I didnot want to modify the WDA and so I didnot specify any exit plugs in the WDA which would have taken care of reloading the WDA. But that seems to be the only way out.
    Actually speaking there are multiple WDAs which will open inside the same BSP IFrame via their own Application URLs. I have coded the BSP IFrame to read the URL Parameters and open up the corresponding WDA.  So now I have to define an exit plug in all of these WDAs.
    Do you suggest that this will solve the problem of WDA refresh ? Just to confirm.
    Thanks again.
