WebDynpro : Delete Table Row

HI All,
Im developing a webdynpro application in which I have a table in which the data is fetched form the backend (Function module) and displayed.
The Function Module takes in paramaters:
1, Case_ID (for identifying wether to delete, insert or update a record)
2. EMP ID
3. First name
4. Lastname
5 Gender
and returns the following :
1. EMP ID
2. First name
3. Lastname
4 Gender
I have been able to insert the data in the table, now my requirement is that I should be able to select a row from the table and on click of the delete button, that row should get deleted.
Simple.
Please suggest how to work !!

Consider you table node is DataNode. Then u get your current selected row as follows:
wdContext.currentDataNodeElement().getLeadSelection().getEmpID() to get empid.

Hi all,
After deleting any rows/row in the WebDynpro table it is showing one blank row showing the presence of row there already. This blank row is appearing when we add new row next time. I don't want to appear this blank line after deleting the row. I Used
wdContext.nodename().removeElement();
removeElement() to delete the row.
Is there any other possibilities to avoid this.

i have created table with customized table model, i fill this table using 2d array, this table rows contains JButtons rendered using ButtonRenderer.java class and action listeners attached by the AbstractButtonEditor.java

1. Create a value attribute named <b>select</b> of type boolean.
2. Bind the <b>checked property</b> of all the checkboxes to this attribute.
3. Create an action called <b>click</b> and bind it to <b>OnAction</b> event of the button(whose click will check all the checkboxes) and write this code in that action.

Deleting table row when OnLeadSelection = none

Hello experts.
I have a table with some columns (Textviews and InputFields) and a Delete button.
One of the requirements is that the LeadSelection will be set to None, which means that the user will set the cursor on one of the InputFields and by pressing the button the row will be deleted, and (of course) it means that i have no lead selection to work with.
How can i do that? i know that in WD4J it can be done.

I want to delete the row after the display of table control. I have created push button as delete row. If I click on this push button, the selected row should get deleted.
I have written this code,

Deleting 1 row from a table takes too long...why?

We are running the following query...
delete gemdev.lu_messagecode where mess_code ='SSY'
and it takes way too long as there is only 1 record in this table with SSY as the mess_code.

Now, since the table only has 150 rows, and I am only try to delete 1 row, why is there so much disk read and why does it take 5 minutes to delete? This just weird. Does this have something to do with the Child tables?

How to delete empty row without validation error in ADF Table(EMP)

Hi Everyone,
I am using EMP Table in ADF jspx page to insert the data into database.when i insert a row into table by createInsert operation,it inserting the row.But I need to delete that row immediately with out entering any value.
But it showing some validation error at empno.Is there any ways to delete the empty row?if not,what are the reasons that we can't delete the row.
could any one tell me the reasons!!

Amar,
I am little confused with your logic here.....
but if you are trying to remove the row by clicking Remove button, you can set the immediate property to true and that remove function will run without executing any entity validation.......

How to delete a row of table in Word using powershell.

I want to search for a word which is present in Table. If that word is present than I want to delete that row from table.

This definitely assumes the text you're trying to find only exists in a table, per your specified requirements. If it exists anywhere else, or in multiple tables, the code above is inadequate.

Hi,
I'm unable to delete a row in table control.
I have defined a selection column for my table control but it is not getting value 'X' when i'm selecting a row for deletion.
Also, when I press enter, some of the columns in table control are getting initialized. I'm passing these values to the internal table along with other columns.

you have to take an internal table of same type of dbase table..and maintain a flag in it...which will be get filled automatically with 'X'.

I want to delete a row in my ADF table by pressing the "Delete" key..How can i achieve it?

How to delete a row in the table in servlets

I have met a problem in deleting a row in table using servlets.
My table looks like this:

There is a delete button in every row. May I know how to delete the row that I want by getting the ID from the table and delete it from the database.

Deleting from a table is simple -> delete from tb_funds where id = <value>. Obviously replace <value> with the appropriate ID or use a bind variable (a ?) and prepared statements.
Are you asking how to pass the id associated with the table row from the browser when the button is pressed?

How to delete multiple rows from ADF table

Hi,
best practices when deleting multiple rows is to do this on the business service, not the view layer for performance reasons. When you selected the rows to delete and press submit, then in a managed bean you access thetable instance (put a reference to a managed bean from the table "binding" property") and call getSeletedRowKeys. In JDeveloper 11g, ADF Faces returns the RowKeySet as a Set of List, where each list conatins the server side row key (e.g. oracle.jbo.Key) if you use ADF BC. Then you create a List (ArrayList) with this keys in it and call a method exposed on the business service (through a method activity in ADF) and pass the list as an argument. On the server side you then access the View Object that holds the data and find the row to delte by the keys in the list
