Webdynpro for ABAP - released for customer?

Hi all,
I have installed the ABAP Webdynpro - and love it!
Do anybody know if the software is released for customers? or do the customers need to be ramp-up?

sorry, but Web Dynpro ABAP does not support touch screen clients. This would mean new Unified Rendering features which are, however, not scheduled.

Workflow for PR release for multiple purchasing groups

Hi Guru,
We have multiple purchasing groups and want to send emails to the responsible person for PR release for their own purchasing groups. In the standard SAP pr release work flow configure, there is no place to specify purchasing groups. Do you have any recommendation? If we need ABAP development, do you know the user exit that we need to modify?

Define the release codes for each person heading a department (purchasing group) and assign the work flow for concerned person. When ever you create PR, depending on purchasing group work flow will be triggered. Assign the release code and release group authorization to particular person's profile in PFCG. Then he can be able to release PR.

How to configure Webdynpro for ABAP Launch for Travel Request workflow UWL

Hello,
We are on SAP ECC 6 EHP4, SAP Netweaver 7.01 SP5, for portal BP1.41. When we are running travel request in this new Webdynpro for ABAP in UWL it will lead from an attachment to PR05 trx. I would think that it would gve another screen where the manager can check a travel request. Is the standard SAP solution leading to this trx. PR05? We have tried to customize the task 20000189 in SWFVISU but it doesn't give us any results.
I would appreciate if you can give me an advice whether SAP standard solution will lead to PR05 or is there any other options what we haven't discovered yet. Otherwise we have to start customize it.

Can I use Tcode to start a webdynpro for abap or for JAVA?

I noticed some page program can be started by tcode for administrion. I am not sure whether it is webdynpro or BSP. But can I use tcode to start webdynpro? How to do it?

To Create a Transaction code for a Web Dynpro application, use Transaction SE93 (Transaction Maintenance).
1.       On the dialog screen, enter the transaction code (up to 20 characters) then click on Create button.
2.       A dialog pop up screen appears, enter meaningful description of the transaction in the Short Text field.
3.       Choose the option Transaction with parameters (Parameter transaction).
4.       Choose Continue. The Create Parameter Transaction screen appears.
5.       In the Transaction field, enter WDYID and select the checkbox Skip initial screen. There is no need to make changes in the Classification group box.
6.       Add the necessary entries to the Default Values table by using the F4 help. The values are automatically available after you enter WDYID in the Transaction field.

Looking for source release for u23 b07-334

I'm developing on the Mac, and have just realised that - doh! - I updated my Java recently, and don't have the source release to go with it. At http://download.java.net/jdk6/source/ I can get hold of the source for u23 b05, but that's not the version I need!
I can't seem to find the source for u23 b07-334 -- does anyone know where it is?

Webdynpro for ABAP and Portal Integration

Hi Experts,
we created a WebDynpro for ABAP application for portal. The application will modify/update few fields in backend sap HR table PA0006 (infotype 6) . The end user (portal user) should be able to update his data in backend with the iview created on this application.
I have below two questions in my mind.
1. Do we need portal eventing for this? It's a single iview in portal which will fetch and update his data through this WebDynpro for ABAP application.
2. It is for 10 countries of almost 1000 users (with same userid in portal and backend). How can I make sure that the enduser updates and fetch his records only. The SSO is already set up between Portal and Sap ECC system. Do I need to again pass the enduser portal id to the sap in coding to fetch and update the data or sso will take care of itself.

Answer: If you use, for exemple ITS to access this Webdympro, you will not need any action on portal for sure. Actually you will just need actions on portal, if you want to make some customization on portal side. If you want just show the Webdympro how it is, your action are all on backend..

If you access via ITS, te custome will acess the backend with the user you have set on the SSO or user-mapping. The portal there is nothing to do in this regards, you must just take care of this on backend.

Dear Experts,
We will be using the wbdynpro for ABAP screens for candidate profile for a succession planning implementation.
We have a requirement to change the start page as well as the candidate profile screens.We need to change the overview screen as well.
In the IMG activity,i can see the node to change the start page.
Can someone please help me out with the following :
1) Start page id : I can specify 9NNN
Config id : ???
What exactly is the config id? i am totally new to webdynpro technology & webdynpro ABAP.
Documentation says "Enter the Web Dynpro configuration identifier (component configuration ID of the start page component) that defines the start page variant."
I went to SE80 & found the component for the start page & even went to the editor for component configuration(this opens in a browser).
Should i create my own configuration id here?
what else do i need to do.
2) After creating the configuration id & creating a custom start page,how will the standard link to the webdynpro start page be modified? how do i refer to this custom start page?
Please help as it is a matter of urgency.Assistance will be appreciated & rewarded.

The entry in the table T77RCF_WD_SP_IDC will be taken care through the entries in the start page of the IMG activity.But do this i need to know what is config id. Can you please help me with this.

How to create an editable table in webdynpro for ABAP? Help!

I have a requirement where I have to create a webdynpro for ABAP table for new row/rows entry, delete row/rows and update row/rows data. This is something like table control in normal ABAP.
how can I achieve this? Is there any such feature in ALV component?

.In that TECHED_05S_CUSTOMER_DATA component is not in my system.So i wrote component myself which gives this functionality. i write a method to extract customer data in Component controller ,and i created a view in that component,but still i cant get output when i select line item...means system does not shom me customer data when i click on flight data.Can anyone help me .This is my code of method.

Web Dynpro for ABAP is SAPs new standard UI technology for developing user interfaces in the ABAP environment. In the long term Web Dynpro for ABAP will be the successor of the traditional screen (Dynpro) based user interface technology which is based on the SAP GUI. Available with NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) Web Dynpro for ABAP provides the same declarative UI development paradigm as Web Dynpro for Java directly out of the NetWeaver ABAP Application Server. Web Dynpro for ABAP allows the development of user interfaces directly within the ABAP Workbench (SE80) and the Web Dynpro runtime environment is a central part of the ABAP server and can be used in any SAP solution based on NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) without the need of an additional server installation.

All elements (tables, buttons, trees, dropdown list boxes, etc) necessary for state of the art user interfaces are provided by the Web Dynpro Framework in the form of predefined UI element libraries.

Internationalization of the UI. All visible strings in a Web Dynpro ABAP UI are handled by the translation system and are translated in the same translation environment like other ABAP language dependent resources. All texts are displayed automatically at runtime, dependent of the users credentials.
Accessibility features are directly built into the framework and UI elements.
A unified rendering engine generates at runtime the data which is sent to the specific client application, which is not limited to browsers but includes the NetWeaver Business Client.
All this is available in the established environment of the ABAP application server and well known capabilities like the transportation and change management system, security environment, test and performance analysis tools or remote debugging can be used like in common ABAP development.
