Webdynpro theme is not same as Portal Theme

Hi,
I am usig Enterprise Portal 7.0 SP12.I am facing a problem with themes.I have set the portal theme as Sap Chrome and i could find that change in Theme is not affecting the Webdynpro view .I could fing that the property sap.useWebDynproStyleSheet Visual Admin services->ConfigurationAdapter->webdynpro->sap.com>tcwddispwda~propertysheetdefault is false .I even tried changing property sap.theme.default but i could find that my webdynpro view comes as plain instaed of displaying in any particular theme set there.Kindly help me to solve the issue.

Hello Neeta,
In the view "Multiple Property Replacement", you can add the Folder, containing your webDynpro iViews to the list of selected objects. You can do this by clicking right button on the Folder in the tree and selecting add folder to list.
now you can click next. on this view you select just "iView" an click next again.
in this step 3 you select search for objects by poperty-ID. as property ID you will use "LAF_Switch". You can copy and paste this. as value, you will use "true".
next screen (step 4 ) will show you how many objects will be changed.
in step 5 you can select which iVewes really shall be changed, if there are some, that should not be changed. for your first try, you can select only one and see, if this works as you want.

Webdynpro application group not visible in Portal

Dear All,
I have a webdynpro for java application in my portal and being used by nearly 70000 employees.
Strange issue: 1 of the employee in the application cannot see the group UI element in the Bottom of the page, though I had not made it invisible or anything. All others could perfectly see all parts of the UI.
After much investigation and failure, I deleted the Userid and made his ID again, to my astonishment, the problem was solved.
Did anyone experience this issue and can explain how and why did this happend???

Hi Ankur,
The user might have selected the "Remove from Page" option from the menu of the iview on the right hand side. We had the same problem and realised about this after a while. It mus have been the same issue.

We are facing issues in integrating the WebDynPro ABAP application in Portal . The WebDynPro ABAP iView is not picking the portal theme. It is picking its actual color.
We are in EP 6 SP 14.
Can anyone let me know what can be the reasons.

Hello,
for the web dynpro for abap application you can create a application configuration. To create the configuration
right click on the application -> create/Change Configuration -> and once you create the configuration, it will open up in browser and you can see 2 tabs structure and parameters
In parameters tab you will find an option Force Use of External StyleSheet check the box and save the configuration. Once done with this process.
Go to the iView Properties of the applications and set the application configuration name and it would take the Portal Theme.

Web dynpro Abap not inheriting the Portal theme

My Web Dynpro Abap is not inheriting the Portal theme. My understanding is that for NW2004, EP7, Web Dynpro Abaps would automatically inherit the Portla theme. Is there some coding required or pre-config of some sort that I have missed to allow the Portal theme inheritance?

How can I upgrade a webdynpro theme from 6.40 to 7.0?

Hi All,
we have got a WebDynpro theme created for our company which currently runs on Web AS 6.40 SP 17. We have another WebAS Java 7.0 SP 9 installation. If I use the theme running on 6.40 on the 7.0 it does not work properly with for e.g. the WebDynpro content administrator. I have tried to import the theme in eclipse theme editor for nw2004s sp9 but the import fails with the error message - portal Data missing.
Does anyone what I have to do to get that theme running on WebAS 7 SP9?

Webdynpro Theme

I have an webdynpro Application which is using Custom webdynpro Theme.
My Application is running on SP15 2004s.
I have 2 Issues.
My Text on Links is being displayed with more font size than the normal text.
I have consistent font size as 0.7 em
2nd thing
I want to change the iCons of TreeByNesting in a Table. Expand,Collapse etc..
I have changed this icons for normal Tree View. They are not being reflected over there.

Check whether you have some space after the folder name that you have specified in WAS location.
I see one point, after your XYZ folder name, kindly place a '/'(back slash) so that the theme is picked from / inside the custom folder.
Otherwise, I donot see any issues for the theme to work !.

Trouble with Appplication after modifying WebDynpro Theme

Hi all,
since I modified a WebDynpro theme the behaviour of several UI Elements changed dramatically.
The dropdown listbox is unclickable.
The little calendar pop up of an input field being bound to the type date doesn't appear anymore.
Basically every interactive Element refuses to be interactive
I'm using a Viewset with T-Layout. The left column only contains links to views being displayed in the right column of the viewset.
This afternoon even the links do not work anymore.
I'm developing on SP12, Themeeditor and themes are as well based on SP12.
Can anybody support me?

It looks like that the generation of the individual folders within the main folder(containing all the elements required for the theme)is missing or not generated properly. When you develop a theme, make sure its compatible ("with all browsers")and have the 'generate all'.
Since you said, that you are using sp12 for development and are using the sp12 theme editor, it should work properly.
Yes, we had issues with regard to combo control and date element with our previous SPs.
I did a cross check on my side, where I had sp12 for development and used sp11 theme editor and looks good.
Hence do re-generate your folders and try it out.

New fields created in MDM Console not visible on Portal iViews

Hi All
I would like to ask you. I recently encouraged very strange and annoying problem. We are developing Vendor repository. Menatime we have created some iViews and pages on the Portal. All of them are displayed from Main table. We can see all fields and added/deleted records.
However I can not add any new fields (from MDM Console main table) we have created. That is whired because I only can see all fields beeing in repository for long time now, but all new fields (from that same table) ar not visible on portal.
I tried few options with creating new and different iViews. No help. All the time I can vise old fields from repository but new one are not available.
Can you plase advice what is/ may be wrong?

Selected pictogram for workset not shown in portal

Hi Gurus,
i have created a workset in portal and there is a setting that i can select a pictogram for this workset. If i select a pictogramm and save the workset the selected pictogram is not used in portal. I still see the old pictogram.

Two locatization Company ( UK/CHINA) profit centre not same )

I dopn't know why our locatization company ( UK. \ CHINA ) company profilt cntre inside feature not same. pls advice how checka and change.

UK uses version A and China uses version B. Yes, the profit centre feature is different between this 2 version. Version B is a bit more detail as they have multidimension function. I don't think there is way to change them. However, I believe they standardized this feature in version 8.81 for all localizations.

Appraisals - Pushbuttons not working in portal

I am facing a strange problem. I have configured some custom pushbuttons with previous status and next status combination. I used them in a template. The pushbuttons are coming correctly in R/3 but they are not visible in portal. What could be the problem?

working in R/3, does that mean the pushbuttons are working phap_admin ?
It's possible your pushbutton statuses do not have the correct "person authorized", this would indicate based on the role logged in on the portal, appraisee or appraiser they may not have access to see that button, but in PHAP_ADMIN it would work.
Check the "Person Authorized" settings on the status flow tab.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Application not working on Portal

Hi,
I have a query regarding one of the application. The application is a transactional app like creating a new supplier/material.
When i execute the application from backend ECC, it is running fine but the same application is not working on Portal.
The application is working fine from NWBC as well. The problem is that the application navigation is not happening when i click on Create and throwing below errors. Please suggest at the earliest.

Well, as it turns out.. we're at SP12 and this note does not apply for us. It's not really a solution for our system and we're still looking for the reason for this behavior of the portal.

WEBGUI is not working in portal

I had conected to production server and created Transactional Iview with SAPGUI for WINDOWS and running it successfully.
My aim is to make use of SAPGUI for HTML in the place of SAPGUI for WINDOWS.
So i had activated ITS services successfully and the URL is working fine.As i am using integrated ITS i checked with the fallowing URL.
http://server:port/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
It had shown the screen of SAP WEB Application Server with portal SID and asking for credentials. after proving the credentials its showing SAP screen successfully.
Now i had changed SAPGUI for HTML in transactional IVew and getting the same screen succesfully. as it ask for SAP user Id pwd. i had entered the same credentials wat i had entred earlier during the test. Now its showing an error like
<b>Client, name, or password is not correct; log on again .</b>
what could be the problem ?why its not working in portal while working fine with URL ?
Please guide me .

goto se80 give internet services (in the drop down box)
Below drop down give SYSTEM publish these service by right clicking system publish--complete service.
and also publish same way WEBGUI
