Dear All,
Let me know followings:-
1. How to suppress warning messages on logon window of webdynpro program??
2. How do I set single logon for webdynpro program? So that programmer could not face repeatedly logon screen for each programs.
3. When I run a program it starts browser with http://hostname......................, But unable to start my program without giving hostname.domai.com.
4. Now I want a setting that can call automatically http://host.domain.com/.....................

1. What kind of warning messages are you getting?
2. Please describe the situation? Do you want Single Sign On from SE80 as you launch applications for test? This is possible and quite simple as long as your basis team has configured the generation of SSO2 tickets (some simple profile parameter settings).
3 and 4. icm/host_name_full - this is the profile parameter setting your basis team needs to set to control what hostname is used in the generation of all URLs.

Adobe Interactive forms & WebDynpro for java problem with IE7 and IE8

I have Interactive form ui-element in WebDynpro for java (ver. 7 SP 10) application. It works fine with IE6, but in IE7 (or IE8) it doesn't show that ui-element at all. We have tried to change IE7 security & advanced settings, but we have not made any progress. We have also tried to install/uninstall different Adobe reader versions etc.

I know a little more about the problem now. After viewing the XML source I change the property of the inputfield.
It was like this:

but i changed the access to be nonInteractive

now view2 shows the linebreak as in view1... Buut! when im going back to view1 from view2, the linebreaks gets converted into spaces

Webdynpro Context mapping problem

I have created a Webdynpro component(A) in which i am getting details from the BAPI(model) and I have exposed this component as a public part and I am using this component in another webdynpro component(B).
In the second webdynpro component(B) I have an iview and i have made context binding with above Component(Used Webdynpro component). and in my iview there was an table.
when i am doing the context binding in the layout its giving error ""Error for UI Element with Label _____" Select an attribute of type String."
I am using NWDS 2.0.14. Has anybody facing this problem?

It seems to be a corruption in the metadata for the views.
Or else you might have missed some bindings
If possible, Go to the Problems view and find the details of the error. Double on that to fix it.

Webdynpro ABAP Caching Problem in Portal

Hi All,
We have developed custom applications using Webdynpro - ABAP, using FPM and accessing those applications through SAP Netweaver Portal 7.0. I have deactivated all the caching techniquies in Portal @ iview level and Page level, Portal Runtime and ContentFetch side, But still causing the same problem.
I have a doubt, wether this is happening because of SAP Logon Caching @ SAP WAS system level. I have checked the SSO parameter settings in RZ10 Profile parameters. Our basis people have set both accept and create parameter value = 1. Is this causing issue?
Or Is there any other settings which is required to do in Portal or SAP system level. Please let us know , really appreciate your value suggestions and help.

The delete icon will not show up in the line of the favorite/templates, if no hours are recorded on it. There is no transfer to the backend either, unless hours are recorded on these working time attributes. also ensure note 1986356 is implemented for details column check CAC2 for the CATS profile attached to the user in CVR in Su3

I have created a WebDynPro application to access the BackEnd System.I have Used BABI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA functional Module.In my appln I Used 2 views , first view has fields like material name,desc,unitof measure .In 2nd view it will display the message which is from Backend .it the fields are i have created system and successfully connected with Server. But while running this application its displaying as " Trying to create X: -
(dash) "
x is the material Name .
whr is the actual problem ,in Server or Coding ? How to solve it ?

It seems not an Error.In second the View thr is a TextView . I bind that with a context node-MESSAGE which is derived from Bapi_material_savedata Module.. While executing that appln
,"TRYING TO CREAT " message shows in the text view.. i want to Know that whether i would b a server Pblm or In coding ?..

please tell us which application it is about. Is it reproducible for any kind of table in any other standard webdynpro for java applications, or only for this one? Do you face this problem when you use any kind of browsers like firefox, internet explorer?

Mobile WebDynpro Sample Application Problem

I have a application which is already developed using Java Webdynpro, now i want to view the application in the mobile. What should i do in-order to show it in a blacl-berry device. If so what all configurations need to done in SAP netweaver Studio. Is any softwares needs to be installed , I am using SAP Netweaver Portal 7.0 SP10. Any webdydnpro application can be viewed in the black berry emulator (UI elemnts rendering will be different though)
You need to have MDS and blackberry emulator installed on your system.
Run the webdynpro application make note on the URL and type the same URL in the blackberry browser.

DMS Document not getting created thru Webdynpro ABAP Strange Problem

Dear all,
My requirement is that I have a Webdynpro ABAP application sitting on SAP Server1 and I am having a FileUploadUI Element in there for uploading files and we have SAP Server2 with the DMS configured. So, what we have done is we have an RFC in SAP Server2 and we are calling it from our webdynpro ABAP application sitting on SAP Server1. And we are calling BAPI_Create2 with all the necessary parameters in this RFC to create the DMS document with the file from webdynpro ABAP application. But its not working. I am passing the Presentation Server File Path of the File to the BAPI_create2.Even if I write the file to the application server of SAP Server2 and then pass this file path to the BAPI_Create2 then also it doesn't work but when I execute this RFC locally in the SAP Server2 with the presentation server file path It executes successfully.
I don't know what I am missing.

Suppose I have got the file copied to the application server in SAP Server2 using datasets from WDA in SAP server1.
Now I have an RFC say ZFILE_UPLOAD in SAP Server2 for which we have made an SAP ABAP RFC Connection from SAP Server1. In this RFC I am calling BAPI_create2 using the application server filepath(of SAP Server2) in docfile parameter along with ur suggested destination then also it doesn't work. Gives an error that "error in storing and checking file" i.e. Error 253.
One more query how to handle the file upload of different file types say I am uploading a pdf file from my webdynpro abap application in SAP server1. Then I get the xstring and pass it to ZFILE_UPLOAD and convert it into binary and write it there in SAP Server2 using datasets. Is it possible to upload any kind of file and then creating the DMS document out of it?
and how to call this RFC?

Webdynpro application deployment problem

Hi, I am tring to deploy webdynpro application using netweaver studio 2004 version, and using ep6.
when I deploy and run application , I get following error:-

why does it say only administrator can deploy? I am uing login which has admin rights.
2. is there any other way to deploy ear file? using some SDM or other way? How?

I tried using SDM, same error message: only adminsitrators have rights to perform this action.
I think, I am not able to access J2EE engine.
How to get J2EE engine access?

WebDynpro call WS problem (possibly bug). Looking for a way to get around.

I have Web Service which I want to call from Web Dynpro application. Creating WD model I noticed that some of the Web Service messages have name <b>return</b>. So WD model generates nice <b>private java.util.List return;</b> code which would not work.
Is somebody already sow this problem?
Is there are any ways around?

No, there is no way to me to touch the web service interface, the only solution I can see now is to call WS manually and then wrap the call with additional WS and then call new WS from WD app.

Problems when creating a new instance of an Input parameter for a REM

I am working in a small demo which calls a Remote Enable Function Module in order to read data from the back end system. Since the function module I need to call ("BP_BUPA_SEARCH_BY_USER") is not Remote Enable I created a copy of it and made it Remote Enable ("Z_BUPA_SEARCH_BY_USER"). I have created the model within webdynpro without any problems but when my application reaches the line where I create a new instance of the object Z_Bupa_Search_By_User_Input (see below the source code), just before to call the remote function, the application stops there. I have exactly the same code in another bapi calls and it works fine. I am wondering if my problem has anything to do with the fact the function module i am calling is the function module I created. Any advice is very welcome.

Date field Length in Java Webdynpro

Hi Experts,
I have a strange case.
I created a new filed in the infotype 0175: ZZDAT like the standard field AUSGD (type DATS length 8)
I modified the ESS view and added the new fields.
The view is working perfectly, the data is transfered between the databse and the webdynpro, the only problem is, that the user can't enter the date manually, because last point after the day can't be entered: e.g.: 2010.01.01 instead of 2010.01.01.
If the user uses the search help, and selects the date form the popup calendar, then the date format is correct: 2010.01.01.
(there is a point after the DAY ) I tried to change the field length manually but still, the last point after the day can't be entered.
Can you please help me to find out what is the problem?

Unfortunatelly this doesn'T help at all.
I reimported the data element, and restarted the server, but the result is the same. I can'T enter the date manually..
To be honest, i'm fed up with this stupid java webdynpro. I hope there is a special place in hell, for the people who invented this....
Anyway, I think the only solution here is to limit the field, capabilities. I'll try to set the Date picker as the only input way... I hope this is possible... it's easy in ABAP I just hope that java can do this the same "non-somplicated" way.
If you have any idea how to do this I'll be very greatfull for any kind of help.

WebDynpro Mobile - Table not rendered with PIE Client

Hello experts,
I want to create a WebDynpro Mobile application.
In this application I have a table which is bound to three Context Attributes with the type String.
In a standard browser, that table is displayed correctly. But when I am using the PIE Client, I just get a strange table-like "thing" with one column and row, without a header title and a radiobutton in the one table cell.
Does anybody have an idea what is going wrong here?

Want to Replicate Dynmic Tree of HR organization

I need your help. I have one requirement. I want replicate one tree that is shown in Transaction pposa .
Details of Requirement.
If you go to pposa .You can see Find By option at top. In that on click of Organization Units >> Structure Search it shows all Organization Units Defined .
Now I want show same Organization Units in Tree format over my WebDynpro . What problem I am facing is I have came with 2 possible solutions .
Making Tree based node structure and binding Tree UI element to it. But problem is I am able to do it when I know level to which tree can be drilled down .
But actually daily new Org units are added and new Drill down level is increasing so I need some Dynamic node creation and Tree creation alternative .
I have never tried Dynamic programming and in that Dynamic Tree Creation .
2 .Second solution I have found is Developing module pool prg which will show job of showing tree and then picking that Module pool screen in WeB Dynpro.
What will you suggest ? Is Such way possible ? If yes picking Module pool screen is it safe in Dynpro .
I have one Standard report available called RHXSTR00 which I am plling to use in Module pool and picking in WD ABAP.
Please give me some suggestion .
