Webdynpros aren using the portal theme

I need advice
I have web dynpros that are displayed in portal but aren't picking up the custom there i designed for them...
My portal is EP7 SP14
ans backednd system is ECC6 SP13
Please help

You need to do the following settings which has been provided in the page 9 and 10.
Also if the property If sap.useWebDynproStylesheet = True 􀃆 Portal uses this theme in a WebDynpro iView. Otherwise it will take the default portal theme for WebDynpro iViews.
For your reference
1. Go to visual administrator and server>services> Configuration Adapter> WebDynpro>sap.com> tcwddispwda> Property Sheet Default.
2.Open it in edit mode.
3.Select the property sap.theme.default and set the following custom value.
4. /irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.design.urdesigndata/themes/portal/<THEMEID>
5.when we restart the server and deploy our WebDynpro applications the new custom theme will be applied.

Dear all,
I have a customized portal theme where we used different color for the portal. When I create a abap webdynpro application for a workflow task (the application will launch when user click on the item in the UWL). When the application launch, it does not use the customized portal theme instead it just use the standard theme.
Anyone knows where can I configure it?

Hi Brian,
You can change the color of a table only if u have the Textview as UI element for cell.
You can change the semantic color property of textview.
Please check this.
I would suggest you to use ALV instead of Table as you can change its colors easily by using functions like SET_DESIGN
GET_DESIGN of IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_SETTINGS.

there are 2 samples in the PDK for a lotus notes calendar portlet and a microsoft exchange calendar portlet. you can access them at portalcenter.oracle.com - PDK - Samples.
another possibility would be to use the calendar portlet that is provided by the portlet builder. in you portal go to the navigator - providers - locally built providers - example applications: there you find a sample of a calendar portlet. you can create a new one by clicking on Create New...Calendar
another possibiliy is to look at the portlets from our partners: on portalcenter click on Portal Catalog - Search the Portal catalog - type in 'calendar' as search word and you get back a list of available calendar portlets.

Use Enterprise portal theme for Web Client

I am working in portal project. We have situation that in portal we have excellent theme but in CRM Web client we donu2019t have fantasy theme like portal.
Is there anyway can I use my portal theme for CRM web client?
If you guide me how to integrate portal theme into CRM Web UIs, that will be great.

There is no easy way to extend your portal theme to the CRM WebClient. Lot of effort is needed for identifying the portal CSS files and updating CRm WebClient theme CSS files with the portal theme attribute values.

Hello,
When creating a portal IView for a webdynpo application we will have a property called as Supply portal style sheet. If this property is set to Yes then the webdynpro applications will take the Portal style sheet.

Working with documents via BEx Analyzer not using the portal

Hello,
i read that we are able to create (work) with documents (comments) via
BEx Analyzer. When i want to add a comment how it is described in the
help we get connected to the portal. We dont want to use the portal for
that. Therefore we searched a way to skip the portal. We read that in
BW Versions before 7.0 the portal was not connected but since 7.0 we
have the portal connectivity, but it should also possible to not use
the portal and to access directly the BI Server. I searched for the
Customizing to do so but i could not find it where to switch to the old
logic.
And another question is when we use the Portal with the knowledge base . The documents are stored in the document framework (SKWF). Is it the same as the Datawarehousing Workbench --> documents. This storage we want to use.
Can anyone give me a hint?

We are also facing the same issue of when trying to create/access the documents from BEx analyzer it is connecting portal , we need to bypass portal and directly access the document browser in BW server.
In your thread you mentioned it is done. So can you please let me know how did you enable the old configuration?. It will be very much helpful to us.

Javascript error throws the portal theme configuration page

We have a problem when we entry to the portal, a javascript
error happens and immediately jumps to the portal theme configuration

When we entry with this user, the browser show us this javascript error:

We need that the user see the page assigned, but this error shows him
always the portal theme configuration page. This kind of error happens with

for this situation, doing click on the first level navigation, the
LR_MX_PAG_Edicion page shows normally.

Transmission-qt doesn't use the oxygen theme

I've installed transmission-qt and it's not using the oxygen theme.
Running qtconfig gives the error:

If you check dependancies, you'llnotice that transmission-qt uses qt5 now. Oxygen theme that's part of kde4 is built on top of qt4, and available only for qt4 apps. Qt5 version of Oxygen style will be avaliable when kde5 comes out.
So isn't there a way to force it to use qt4?

Publishing a site through UAG without using the Portal login

The portal app is mandatory even if you not use it, indeed if you delete this app UAG stop to work as expected.
In order to publish your internal site without going through the portal, in select application select the following options:
Type: Web
Web: Other Web Application (application specific hostname)
With this you could bind a direct DNS name to your publication without using the portal in order to access to it.

Web dynpro Abap not inheriting the Portal theme

Hi,
My Web Dynpro Abap is not inheriting the Portal theme. My understanding is that for NW2004, EP7, Web Dynpro Abaps would automatically inherit the Portla theme. Is there some coding required or pre-config of some sort that I have missed to allow the Portal theme inheritance?

Hi Israel,
It is possible to have same user logged in through differnt terminals or browser windows. However if there are say 10 roles assigned to that user, all 10 will be visible in all the windows. However you may open and work on different roles.. in the different windows.
Note that the real time collaboration features shall not be available if the same user logs in multiple times.

SSO means everyone must use the portal -- no GUI?

We are just transitioning from Blueprint to Realization and must make a decision. We'd like to use Single Sign-On. I was told that if we use SSO, then all users must use the portal, no-one can use the SAPGUI. Is this true?

Single Sign-on merely means that a user has to authenticate against a trusted party and and can access afterwards all other applications (if configured for SSO) without authentication.
There are quite a few SSO techniques. See the article in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_sign_on">Wikipedia</a> to get a first impression.
If it comes to SAP NetWeaver Portal we talk about SSO between the portal and the integrated backend applications. That means once the user logged into the portal the user can access the integrated applications without giving his credentials. Basically, there are two SSO methods available:
- SAP Logon Ticket
- User Mapping
Find more information on these techniques in the SAP Library.

Displaying error page when not entitled to use the portal

We are using BEA Portal 8.1 and would like to display an error page to a user
who is authenticated but not entitled to view any of the portal resources. Does
anyone know how to do this?
Here are more details:
Users are authenticated by Netegrity Siteminder when they logon to the LAN. An
authenticated user may or may not be entitled to use the portal site depending
on attributes passed in the header by netegrity. These attributes values are stored
as user profile properties. Visitor entitlements have been created based on these
properties and pages/portlets are then entitled through these visitor entitlement
roles.
If a user is not a member of any roles, then they should be redirected to a page
indicating that they do not have permission to access the portal. Howe can this
be implemented?

Now I can enter the collaborate function. However, everytime when I tried to send it to myself (for test purpose) I got another error message "You need to enter a valid emaill address". I saw someone else on this forum has met the same problem. Do you have any suggestion on what is the possible reason for this to happen?

How to use the ITS Theme generated by ITS Theme generator of Portal

I have generated an ITS Theme using ITS Theme generator of Portal. I exported the theme . It is a zip file containg some xml files and two zip files - Portal and ITS. When I unzip ITS.ZIP I have webgui folder under which there is ma and sa.These folders have various images.
Now how do I apply the generated theme.

Thanks for responding. Yeah I looked at that documentation earlier and these are the activities we have done so far:
1. Using ITS theme generator in portal, generated ITS theme for our custom portal theme.
2. Verified from theme export that ITS.zip contains all relevant images, stylehsteets etc for our custom theme.
3. Even after this, when we preview transaction iViews from portal to execute a transaction on ECC system those iViews pick up default SAP theme but not our custom theme.
4. After looking at the OSS notes mentioned in help documentation, we used ~webTransactionType, ~design & ~designBaseUrl parameters in iView properties but no luck. Actually these parameters get ignored - even if we put invalid host name in designBaseUrl it doesn't throw any error.
We use EP 7.0 SP 17 and ECC 7.01 Ehp4 with integrated ITS. When we generated the theme using ITS theme generator in portal, we tried with service as webgui and also sap_generate but the iViews pick up only default SAP theme. How do we point ITS webgui and transaction iViews to custom portal theme?
