WebEngine: How to change or catch timeout issue?

Hello,
When the execution of a script code takes too much time the WebEngine throws the following exception:
netscape.javascript.JSException: JavaScript execution exceeded timeout.
       at com.sun.webpane.platform.WebPage.twkExecuteScript(Native Method)
       at com.sun.webpane.platform.WebPage.executeScript(WebPage.java:1438)
       at javafx.scene.web.WebEngine.executeScript(WebEngine.java:811)
document.generateTimeout= function generateTimeout()
                    var i=3000000000;          // 3 billions iterations = 10 secs on a classical machine
                    while(i>0)
                         i=i-1;
In my use case, the JavaScript is quite complex because of the generation of a chart and it takes more than 10 seconds to process. The problem is that the timeout event occurs in less than 10 seconds!
I only would like to catch, disable or increase the timeout value.
Is it possible? Else, any work around?
Thanks.

Seems not to be available yet. [http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-15009]
Adding a listener on: [http://www.w3.org/wiki/DOM/window.onerror]
fires some interesting events such as:
WebEvent [source = javafx.scene.web.WebEngine@2789ea2e, eventType = WEB_ALERT, data = JavaScript execution exceeded timeout. undefined 0]
Any other workaround would be appreciated!
Thanks.

  • How to manage the GUI timeout issue in LSMW

    Hi all,
    we are running into an issue with our LSMW loads. That issue is that the load process runs in the SAP GUI and the GUI will timeout if someone doesn't generate an SAP transaction in the GUI session every so often. Since we are estimating that our LSMW loads for our production migration will run about 80 hours per batch, this is a problem needs to resolved.
    Very urgent
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi
    1. Our LSMW scripts for the following objects are designed for Batch Input and already set up for running in background mode. (Non-issue)
        - ECM
        - Object Links
        - Doc BOM Create
        - Doc BOM Change
    2. Our main issue: for loading DRW/BKT/Characteristics/Doc Files, I have already tested processing the Idocs in Background mode. All the Idocs failed because the background process on the SAP application server cannot access the doc files. (it has to use saphttp.exe on the client)
    3. Frame program for periodic data transfer (see the following instructions from "Date Migration of Non-SAP Systems to R/3")
        To a limited extent, the LSM Workbench also supports periodic data transfer. Preconditions are:
        - The LSMW object has been created and tested completely.
        - The "source application" periodically makes available one or several files on the R/3 application server.
        - The LSMW object does not access files on the frontend. (Files on the frontend cannot be read in batch mode.)
    Help me to solve this problem
    This is very Urgent

    You can't. You automatically get the same address @icloud.com as you chose for @me.com.
    You can either setup an alias with your desired address (if available), or create a whole new iCloud account attached to a new AppleID.

  • Change pacman sync timeout

    Guys, sorry if the answer is overly obvious, but I've spent a couple of days searching the forums, the wiki, google, and in the config files for how to change the sync timeout in pacman, but can't find what I'm looking for.  Perhaps I'm using the wrong search terms, or looking in the wrong places, but not sure.
    Anyway, when trying to sync the system with the package mirrors using pacman, there is currently a delay of what seems like 4 to 5 minutes for each mirror that is not available.  I'm wanting to change that delay to something more like a minute or so if there's no problem in doing that.
    Do any of you know where that timeout period can be changed?
    Thank you.

    don't know if changing the timeout is possible, but delays to skip  a non-responding mirror of more then 10 seconds are bad.
    - how many mirrors do you have enabled and did you check them against http://www.archlinux.org/mirrors/status/
    normally having 3 or 4 mirrors (1 primary, rest for backup) enabled is more then enough
    - what Xfer command are you using ?

    I'm having the same issue. I've been able to work around it by opening the txt file and copying the contents. Then I open a new file in Sublime Text 2, paste the contents and save the new file as "project.json". It seems to work, but it'd been nice if I didn't have to do this everytime I publish a new project.

  • Svn with Apache Timeout issue

    Hello Archers,
    I've set up an svn Server with Apache folloing your wiki on my raspberry pi.
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/LAMP
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Subversion_Setup
    Unfortunately I get errors when I try to commit several files (15 or so). I think it is a timeout issue, however I don't know where to specify the timeout in the httpd.conf (or httpd-ssl.conf)
    This is a client error message:
    Commit failed (details follow):
    Unexpected end of svndiff Input
    And this the corresponding server side log:
    [date] [dav:error] [pid 448:tid 2854220848] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: [client 192.168.178.55:63819] Timeout reading the body (URI: /Dokumente/!svn/txr/9-q/Music/myfile.mp3) [408, #0]

    I assume it is some error like this: http://subversion.apache.org/faq.html#s … -truncated
    I think I don't have specified the timeouts correctly, since I haven't found the default option.

    Do you know how to set the timeouts in the apache configuration file?

    # Note that no password is obtained from the user. Every entry in the user
    # file needs this password: `xxj31ZMTZzkVA'.
    # o ExportCertData:
    # This exports two additional environment variables: SSL_CLIENT_CERT and
    # SSL_SERVER_CERT. These contain the PEM-encoded certificates of the
    # server (always existing) and the client (only existing when client
    # authentication is used). This can be used to import the certificates
    # into CGI scripts.
    # o StdEnvVars:
    # This exports the standard SSL/TLS related `SSL_*' environment variables.
    # Per default this exportation is switched off for performance reasons,
    # because the extraction step is an expensive operation and is usually
    # useless for serving static content. So one usually enables the
    # exportation for CGI and SSI requests only.
    # o StrictRequire:
    # This denies access when "SSLRequireSSL" or "SSLRequire" applied even
    # under a "Satisfy any" situation, i.e. when it applies access is denied
    # and no other module can change it.

    # approach is that mod_ssl sends the close notify alert but doesn't wait for

    # approach you can use one of the following variables:
    # o ssl-unclean-shutdown:
    # This forces an unclean shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. no
    # SSL close notify alert is sent or allowed to be received. This violates
    # the SSL/TLS standard but is needed for some brain-dead browsers. Use
    # this when you receive I/O errors because of the standard approach where
    # mod_ssl sends the close notify alert.
    # o ssl-accurate-shutdown:
    # This forces an accurate shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. a
    # SSL close notify alert is send and mod_ssl waits for the close notify
    # alert of the client. This is 100% SSL/TLS standard compliant, but in
    # practice often causes hanging connections with brain-dead browsers. Use
    # this only for browsers where you know that their SSL implementation
    # works correctly.
    # Notice: Most problems of broken clients are also related to the HTTP
    # keep-alive facility, so you usually additionally want to disable
    # keep-alive for those clients, too. Use variable "nokeepalive" for this.
    # Similarly, one has to force some clients to use HTTP/1.0 to workaround

    Remember that Arch Arm is a different distribution, but we try to bend the rules and provide limited support for them.  This may or may not be unique to Arch Arm, so you might try asking on their forums as well.

  • SSRS Timeout issue

    I am using SSRS for generate reports in my .net web application. For one of the report, an error "An error has occurred during report processing." is returned after 100s. The report can be generated successfully in report server
    at around 3 minutes. So, I believed it is caused by timeout issue in one of the processes. However, i have verified the timeout settings but still got no ideas on how to fix it.
    My code is a bit complicated since the connection type of my report's data source is an customized dll. In the dll, i will call an webservice to get data. Below is summary for the flow:
    UI -> Reporting Service -> Customized Dll -> Web service -> SQL/Stored Procedures
    The execution timeount in the web.config of both the reporting service and web service are set to 9000s (<httpRuntime executionTimeout = "9000" />). And coding about timeout of the service is set to 3000s (i.e. ReportingService rs = new ReportingService();
    rs.timeout = 3000000;). In the execution properties of the report, Report Execution Time is set to "Do not timeout report execution" currently.
    I think there is no problem for the customized dll and the web service it calls since it can be generated in report server direclty. But I have no idea about where the timeout occurs. Please kindly help.
    Thanks,
    Shirley

    Hi Shirley,
    According to your description, you encountered time out issue when rendering your report in your web application. Right?
    In Reporting Services, we have report execution timeout value and query timeout value for processing report and dataset. In this scenario, you have already set the report executionTimeout and "Do not timeout report execution" on report level. Since
    this time issue only happens on specific report, it probably cause by processing large amount of data which exceeds the max query timeout. Please go to rsreportserver.config file and change the QueryTimeOut into "0". This file locates at
    xx:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS12.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer
    <Add Key="DatabaseQueryTimeout" Value="0"/>
    Reference:
    Setting Time-out Values for Report and Shared Dataset Processing (SSRS)

    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • ABAP Query Code timeout issue

    Hi,
    I have a SAP query which was the following code which is causing a timeout issue when running the report, can anyone suggest how I can change the code to make it more efficent?
    * This gets the sum of all labour costs on WBSEs.
      clear X_COEP_WKGBTR_LAB_W.
      if PRPS-OBJNR is not initial.
      select sum( WKGBTR ) from COEP
        into X_COEP_WKGBTR_LAB_W
        where
        PERIO = ZPERIODT
        and
        GJAHR = ZYEAR
        and
        KSTAR >= 'A43'
        and
        KSTAR =< 'A43ZZZZZZZ'
        OR
         KSTAR = '0005767012'
        and
        OBJNR = PRPS-OBJNR.
      endif.
    thanks
    Joe

    Hi Joe,
    I see none of the Key fields were used in select query.
    Create a secondary index for the table and use it in select query.
    It increases the performance.
    COEP~1 and COEP~2 are already existing.
    select sum( WKGBTR ) from COEP
        into X_COEP_WKGBTR_LAB_W
        where
        PERIO = ZPERIODT
        and
        GJAHR = ZYEAR
        and
        KSTAR >= 'A43'
        and
        KSTAR =< 'A43ZZZZZZZ'
        OR
         KSTAR = '0005767012'
        and
        OBJNR = PRPS-OBJNR
    %_HINTS ORACLE 'INDEX("COEP" "COEP~1").
    Thanks,

  • Parallel Processing - Timeout issue

    Hi All,
    I have implemented "Parallel Processing" in one of my application. I am not executing this processes in background but instead in online mode (i can not do it in background mode because of how this application works).
    Each of my parallel process starts in a new dialog. Functionality wise my program is working fine but I have an issue when I am processing large amount of data. And this is also not in my program but in one of the standard SAP FM i am calling in my application. Some of my processes reaches the timeout limit (600 secs) and expires. I can not increase the timeout limit since time it takes to complete the process varies depending on the amount of data it is processing.
    Does anybody know how to resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    RS

    Hi,
    I am calling this FM with lowest level object, that is WBS element in our case. The issue here is not how the FM is called but amount of data posted to this WBS element. So, when i call this FM with the WBS having so many charges posted to it it times out (even in parallel processing since it basically generate another dialog process).
    Is there any ways to avoid this timeout without changing the system timeout parameter?
    Thanks,
    RS

  • Changing TCP/IP timeout conditions?

    I am running LV8.5 across several different platforms (Mac, Linux, Windows).  I am using the standard LV TCP/IP listen/connect vi's within a larger custom network communication vi, and I am trying to make my application both platform-independent and robust against various types of network and/or LabVIEW failure.  I am encountering a problem after I either stop the vi which controls the network connection or kill LV to simulate an overall "crash" of the application.  After the stop/crash, I want to restart the network connection vi immediately; however, I am running up against the OS's built-in "Timed Wait", in which the stale socket connection is not immediately killed.  If I restart the vi too soon, the TCP/IP Listen vi returns "Error 60", since, obviously, the port I have chosen is still reserved by the system for the previous socket connection.  The idea behind the "Timed Wait" is to avoid killing active sockets that just don't happen to be passing any messages within a (presumably short) period of time, but the forced wait I am experiencing prior to reconnection is not optimal for my application.  Furthermore, the amount I have to wait is platform-dependent--there is a noticeable difference between Unix-based systems and Windows, for example.  Among other requirements, I would like uniform reconnection behavior regardless of platform, so what I am trying to do is find a way to set the timeout condition just for this socket, while leaving the overall "Timed Wait" for the system at the default value.  If the "socket timeout" value is in fact user-definable within LV, then I can determine by trial and error the optimal value that allows me to reconnect in a timely fashion while still avoiding timeouts on an active connection.  But at this point I don't see how to set this value at all, since the relevant TCP/IP vi's do not have the appropriate input wires.  They do have inputs that determine their own timeout conditions, but this is only for determining after what amount of time, for example, the Connect vi returns a failure to connect, not the timeout value that determines when to kill a stale socket after a previously-successful connection has been terminated.
    A solution that was offered to a previous discussion board request based on the same Timed Wait/Error 60 problem was to change/increment the port for the new connection so that it is not attempting to use exactly the same resources as the old connection.  I do not want to do this, since
    other aspects of my program currently require the port to be set to a specific
    value (in addition to the lesser concerns I have about using up the available port resourcess if the vi experiences multiple failures in rapid succession).  So again, what I am hoping to find is a way to change socket-specific timeout conditions within LV.  If the answer is, in fact, "LabVIEW does not support this feature", that is OK--as long as I know that for sure, then I can implement other work-arounds.  For example, I've already build a "While Error...wait N seconds" into the reconnect step of my network communication vi; however, having the ability to define for myself the interval after which I can reconnect would still be preferable.
    Thank you,
    Kyler

    Hi kkuehn,
    I've talked to a few more application engineers here, and this issue sounds like it's an operating system setting.  Could you change this setting?  ...potentially, yes.  The hard part would be in finding out where to change it for each operating system.  I don't really have any paths to point you down though in your search.
    There's one option you could investigate.  Before trying to reopen the "stale" port, you could try closing that port at the beginning of the program.
    Perhaps someone from the community, who has more operating system knowledge as to this option, could respond to this post as well.
    I hope this helps,
    Kevin S.
