WebEx meeting server and MS Exchange server 2013

Greetings,
The WebEx meeting server vr. 2.5 can't send email invitations to anybody outside the domain. However, domain users can receive WebEX meeting invitation in Outlook  by email.  receive and send connectors are already created and configured and domain users can send and receives email from outside domain by Outlook. Would you please advise about any further configuration required in either WebEx server or MS Exchange.
Could you please send the configuration steps in both sides to integrate WebEx Meeting server with MS Exchange 2013.
Currently, I use the default receive connectors with enabling anonymous users for both hub and frontend transport. Also, I have created SMTP send connectors for outgoing emails.
The WMS is able to send emails inside the domain but not to outside!

  • WebEx Meeting Server 1.5 - Call drop after entering meeting number and #

    Hi everyone,
Just installed a new CWMS server version 1.5... all features seem to work EXCEPT when I use the call in function, I type in the meeting number, hit # and the call is terminated.
    I read through this document:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/collaboration/CWMS/b_troubleshootingGuide/b_troubleshootingGuide_chapter_01000.pdf
    From the document:
    Call-In Issues
    • Problem Users hear a reorder tone before or after the complete number is dialed.
    • Problem The "Your call cannot be completed as dialed" message is played by the annunciator.
    • Problem During call-back, a user's call terminates after pressing 1 to join the meeting.
    • Problem During call-in, a user's call terminates after entering the meeting ID followed by #.
Possible Cause You need to reconfigure your CUCM servers.
Solution Reconfigure your CUCM settings as follows: Use the "<NONE>" partition and "<NONE>" CSS
(Calling Search Space) for all Cisco WebEx Meetings Server related entities in CUCM (for example, route
patterns, SIP route patterns, SIP trunks, etc.).
Solution Use one partition and one CSS specifically assigned for all Cisco WebEx Meetings Server related
entities. For more information refer to the system guide for your CUCM version.
I configured my route pattern to use <NONE> and all other option as <NONE> and still the call is terminated.
I created a css_webex CSS and put in pt_internal and assigned that and I still get terminated.
    Am I missing something here?

Personally, I never really use the null partition but before we go there.  You have a couple different route patterns.  The first is an inbound call pattern(s) that are going to be standard route patterns (i.e. numeric) and you'll have some outbound PSTN patterns for the actual outdialing that CWMS does.  You then have some SIP route patterns that can either be defined as IP or FQDN for each media server.  After you connect and then want to join a meeting, those SIP route patterns are used to redirect you to the appropriate server where a meeting is hosted.  For those patterns, are you using IP or FQDN and what partition are they in?  If you are using FQDN then you may need to change to IP depending on your DNS configuration on CUCM.

  • Webex Meeting Center and Jabber for Ipad support in Webex Telepresence

Hello, I have a two questions which are unclear based on my browsing of posts in this thread.
    1) Are traditional Webex Meeting Center meetings able to be joined to a Webex Telepresence session?  Ie. I have two callway/webex telepresence nodes (SX20 and a C40) can they have a webex meeting center participant brought in?
    2) Is Jabber for Ipad supported using the Webex Telepresence service?  Using the example endpoints above I have a SX20 and C40 and they want to add a Webex for Ipad endpoint in.
    Thanks.

You cannot have Telepresence endpoints using Callway service(WebEx TP service) join a webex session directly. You can do this however using WebEx enabled Telepresence which is meant for on-premise users to work with WebEx
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/tms/config_guide/webex_enabled_telepresence/cts_webex_config.html
In the call way (aka WebEx tp service), the work around is you have to use an endpoint that has multi site capabilities to make one video call and see video from other end points and then make an audio call to the WebEx service and bridge them together. Now users can audio and video and presentation remains on WebEx but it's not like the true webex enabled telepresence which today call way doesnt support
See attached PDF last page. Also you may need a PSTN subscription to make that call happen

  • Ask the Experts: Single Sign-On with Cisco WebEx Meetings Server, Internet Reverse Proxy, and Enterprise License Manager Solutions

    With Arun Kumar
Welcome to the Cisco Support Community Ask the Expert conversation. This is an opportunity to learn and ask questions about Single Sign-On (SSO) with Cisco WebEx Meetings Server (Cisco WMS), Internet Reverse Proxy (IRP), and Enterprise License Manager (ELM) solutions.
SSO standards such as Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0 provide secure mechanisms for passing credentials and related information between different websites that have their own authorization and authentication systems. SSO enables simplified user authentication and management.
IRP provides public access, enabling users to host or attend meetings from the Internet and mobile devices. Although IRP is optional, Cisco encourages its use because it provides a better user experience for your mobile workforce.
    Example question topics include:
SSO profiles and SAML 2.0 Identity providers (IdPs) supported in Cisco WMS
    Basic configuration of IdPs
Interaction between IdPs and Cisco WMS
Difference between the cloud client implementation and Cisco WMS
Meeting access behavior in a split-horizon network topology with SSO
How to enable public access to Cisco WMS

  • Exchange Server 2013 and Remote Access VPN on a single server running Windows Server 2012?

Just by way of background, I have been installing and administering network servers, e-mail systems, VPN servers, and the like for many years.  However, my involvement with Exchange and Windows Server has been mostly on the forensics and data recovery
level, or as a (sophisticated) user.  I have never tried to deploy either from scratch before.  My deployment experiences have been mostly with Linux in recent years, and with small private or personal "servers" running such cutting edge
software as Windows XP back when it was new.  And even NetWare once.
When a client asked me if I could set up a server for his business, running Exchange Server (since they really want Outlook with all of its bells and whistles to work, particularly calendars) and providing VPN access for a shared file store, I figured it
could not be too difficult given that its a small business, with only a few users, and nothing sophisticated in the way of requirements.  For reasons that don't bear explaining here, he was not willing to use a vendor hosting Exchange services or cloud
storage.  There is no internal network behind the server; it is intended to be a stand-alone server, hanging off a static IP address on the Internet, providing the entirely mobile work-force of about 10 people with Exchange-hosted e-mail for their computers
and phones, a secure file store, and not much else.  If Exchange didn't need it, I would not need to install Active Directory, for example.  We have no direct need for its services.
So I did the research and it appears, more by implication than outright assertion, that I should be able to run Windows Server 2012 with Exchange Server 2013 on a server that also hosts Remote Access (VPN only) and does nothing else.  And it appears
I ought to be able to do it without virtualizing any of it.  However, I have spent the last three or four days fighting one mysterious issue after another.  I had Remote Access VPN working and fairly stable very quickly (although it takes a very
long time to become available after the server boots), and it has mostly remained reliable throughout although at times while installing Exchange it seems to have dropped out on me.  But I've always been able to get it back after scrounging through the
logs to find out what is bothering it.  I have occasionally, for a few minutes at a time, had Exchange Server willing to do everything it should do (although not always everything at the same time).  At one point I even received a number of e-mails
on my BlackBerry that had been sent to my test account on the Exchange Server, and was able to send an e-mail from my BlackBerry to an outside account.
But then Exchange Server just stopped.  There are messages stuck in the queues, among other issues, but the Exchange Administration Center refuses now to display anything (after I enter my Administrator password, I just get a blank screen, whether on
    the server or remotely).
So, I am trying to avoid bothering all of you any more than I have to, but let me just begin with the basic question posed in the title: Can I run Exchange Server (and therefore Active Directory and all of its components) and Remote Access (VPN only) on
a single Windows Server 2012 server?  And if so, do I have to run virtual machines (which will require adding more memory to the server, since I did not plan for it when I purchased it)?  If it can be done, can anyone provide any pointers on what
the pitfalls are that may be causing my problems?  I am happy to provide whatever additional information anyone might like to help figure it out.
    Thanks!

An old thread but I ran into this issue and thought I share my solution since I ran into the same issue. Configuring VPN removes the HTTPS 443 binding on the Default Site in IIS for some strange reason; just go and editing the bindings, add HTTPS and things
    should be back to normal.

  • Exchange Server 2013 and RADIUS server(freeRADIUS2)

I am a student and doing an internship. I have to test Microsoft Exchange Server 2013.
I am using Windows Server 2012, I already installed Exchange
Server 2013 on it and everything works as intended.
But I couldn't find out how to configure my Windows Server 2012 in order to authenticate my mailbox users from Exchange Server 2013 with a RADIUS
server which is not on my Windows Server 2012. I have to use their RADIUS server ( freeRADIUS2 ), the RADIUS server from
the company where I am doing my internship.
I already did the checklist that is on http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772591.aspx. I configured the NPS as
a RADIUS proxy, because that's what I need.
So after doing everything that is on that checklist, my question is:
Is it possible that the Exchange Server 2013 will use my NPS which is now configured as a NPS RADIUS proxy to authenticate my mailbox users that I have on my Exchange Server 2013?

thanks for such a quick response.
Just a small question about the link that you put. Does member server mean other server other than domain controller?
    Regards,
Yes, Also the server on which you are installing Exchange should have exchange installed.

  • Exchange Server 2013: no send/receive after failed CU1- CU2 and machine restore

    Hi!
For several reasons, I decided to fully restore my Exchange Server 2013 machine today.
The machine is virtualized on Hyper-V.
I rebooted the server and recovered from backup and Exchange seems to be working fine. However, I cannot receive or send mail. If I try to send a message it goes to the "drafts" folder. OWA and EMC is working. I can not send mail between interna mailboxes
    either. Outlook says disconnected.
When running the Exhchange Connectivity Analyzer, I get the following:
    - Receive: Connection was successful but no banner was received.
    - Send: Successfull. However when trying to send mail to external mailbox it does not reach that mailbox.
Mailflow was working perfectly at the time of the backup.
    Help is much appreciated!
UPDATE 1: When telnet on local server i get SMTP banner. But not on other computers in same subnet.

OK. After fiddeling around in ADSIedit and trying to rebuild my Exchange environment I ended ut breaking it completely.
I then restored both my DC (Exchange schema CU2) and my EX (Exchange schema CU1). Scema Versions where the inconsistent as stated.
Then I uninstalled the KB2874216 successfully. After that i tried to Upgrade Exchange to CU2. The Upgrade failed at Mailbox Role: Mailbox Service With error Message:

Seems the problem was corrupted arbitrary system mailboxes from previous Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 migration.
The solution for me was to restore the corrupted arbitrary mailboxes using this
LINK. It is for 2010 but Works on 2013.
I am now currently on Exchange CU2 on both my EX server and on my DC. Now I have to check mail flow and will report back.

  • Writing client app to connect to Exchange Server 2013 and set OOF for users on vacation

I am coding an C# app that should connect to Exchange Server 2013 on-premise (Servers Location is not in our Company). I`ve got an account (User and Pass) with readonly admin-rights for now and want to read and set OutOfOffice Objects for other users. I
decide to use EWS Managed API over Autodiscovery but I am bit confuse how
I tried to connect with "service.UseDefaultCredentials = true" and read contacts -> this code works:
    try
                ExchangeService _service
    = new ExchangeService(ExchangeVersion.Exchange2013_SP1);
                _service.Credentials
    = new WebCredentials("service.exchange",
    "1234", "domain");
                _service.TraceEnabled
    = true;
                _service.TraceFlags
    = TraceFlags.All; _service.UseDefaultCredentials
    = true;
                _service.AutodiscoverUrl("[email protected]",
    RedirectionUrlValidationCallback);
                foreach
    (Contact contact in _service.FindItems(WellKnownFolderName.Contacts,
    new ItemView(2)))
    var test = contact;
            catch
    (Exception exception)
                Console.WriteLine(exception);
After that I tried the same with _service.UseDefaultCredentials = false; got error -> "The Autodiscover service couldn't be located." I am not shure if this "direct log on" is the right way, On msdn I've read about "delegate access"
and "Impersonation" (NTLM and Basic Authentication) I'am a bit confused. Can anybody help me?

    hi,
when you set a credential, you don't have to set the UseDefaultCredentials property (it is already updated).
For autodiscover, you should try to set the property EnableScpLookup to True if you are in the Exchange domain or it is known by the current domain.
Autodiscover uses a domain query (through Active Directory) and/or a dns query (this requires a DNS register for autodiscover.domain.net) to determine the access to the autodiscover service URI.

  • Exchange Server 2013 migration and high avalability

    Hello,
We are using Office 365 online and will be migrating onto an in-house Exchange Server 2013 on a new Windows Server box.
    I have two questions:
    1. What is the best way to migrate everything from the Office 365 to the in house server? Do I setup a hybrid environment and then move the mailboxes and then remove the hybrid environment?
    2. What is the best way to setup high availability for the in-house Exchange server? I found out that in order to setup Exchange 2013 as high availability it needs to run on Windows server 2012 STD or Windows server 2008 Enterprise.
Please let me know and provide links to step by step instructions if possible.
    Thank you, Karel

  • Exchange server 2013 mail send and received problem

    Hi Support,
I have Install Exchange server 2013 and create mail box and local send received locally but days back i have not able to mail send and received. what setting are required for user mail send and received locally. and how to create mx and txt record for my
    domain.

    Hi,
According to your description, I know that the Exchange server can send/receive internally at beginning, however doesn’t work now. Please correct me if there is anything misunderstand.
Great checklist from S.Nithyanandham. Additionally, how about sending/receiving via OWA? And any error messages when can’t send and receive?
Please make sure the Message Tracking has been enabled and run following command to output track log and check detail information:

    Hi Support,
I have install Exchange Server 2013 with server 2012 ( my domain not resisted but mail send & received in local for practice then live ) but few days back some changes in dns and ecp and mail stop sending and receiving. how to verify my exchange server
2013 working fine. Please give the step check perpoes.

dear Pardeep, you said it was working fine then you did some DNS changes..
i would suggest you best troubleshooting step is to go to exrca.com and perform the tests and from there we take it up.
Secondly you can verify your config from the below link.
    http://www.techieshelp.com/exchange-2013-step-by-step-configuration/
in DNS you need to make sure you have atleast MX and A record done for your server having email services installed.
for ECP... i would we would take this later lets check the mail sending and receiving first. use the above links

  • Exchange Server 2013 and Office 365 Integration

If we are using Exchange Server 2013 on premise, can we have 2 of our users integrated with Office 365 so that they can utilize their Exchange Server email account with the apps and features of Office 365?

    Hi,
You can deploy a hybrid environment using Exchange 2013 CU2 or later version with Office 365.
Could you please tell me what do you mean by "we have 2 of our users integrated with Office 365 so that they can utilize their Exchange Server email account with the apps and features of Office 365"?
Here is my understanding: You create these two mailboxes on Exchange 2013, but you need to allow for redirection from the on-premises OWA environment to the Office 365 OWA. If that is your case, you need to specify a target URL for your organization(for
example, www.outlook.com/contoso.com). If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
