Webflow Web Application Configuration Problem

I am trying to use BEA’s webflow tool to handle navigation within a series
of JSP pages, input processors, and pipeline components. The JSP pages will capture
user profile information beyond the normal User ID and Password (user interests,
etc). This information will be stored in the database, and be used to customize
the user experience.
I am using the validated form tag, and the webflow tag libraries in the JSP in
order to take advantage of some pre-built validation tools.
My web application is named conahec, and my namespace is called test.wf.
The JSP page comes up perfectly, but when I enter data on the page to test it,
and hit the save button, I get the following error:
<Mar 8, 2002 8:48:54 AM MST> <Error> <Webflow> <Error while parsing uri
/conahec/application, path null, query string null - Webflow XML does not exist,
is not loaded properly,or you do not have a configuration-error-page defined.
Exception[com.bea.p13n.appflow.exception.ConfigurationException: The
configuration-error-page node was not found in the webflow xml file. for webapp
[null], namespace [portal]. While trying to display
CONFIGURATION ERROR:
[Exception[com.bea.p13n.appflow.exception.ConfigurationException: Bad
Namespace - namespace [test] is not available for webflow execution. Make sure
the[test.wf] file is deployed in webapp [null].]],]
As you can see, it appears that the webapp is not defined. The only way the web
app wouldn&#8217;t be defined (that I know of from reading previous posts to this
group) is if the data synchronization was not successful.
However, the DataSync page appears to show that the synchronization was successful.
Here are the results I see on the DataSync page:

Can you please help by pointing me in a direction to continue to research this

Thanks.

Thank you, Daniel.
Support got back to me 24 hours later, and gave me the patch I needed. Early
testing shows that this patch has fixed this problem.

  • Web-application deployment problem (404 - File not found)

    Hello
    Does anyone have had the same problems like me on deploying java web-applications on iPlanet WS 6.0?
    I started with the HelloWorld.war example that came with the server and went through the manual but no luck so far. Heres what I did:
    0. Checked that webapps are enabled in the servler.xml file
    1. Created a directory /opt/webapps and /opt/webapps/hello with sufficient permissions
    2. Copied the HelloWorld.war example to /opt/webapps
    3. Deployed the excample on my test-server using the webinterface.
    Heres the content of the web-apps.xml file of my testserver after step 3:
    [DTD here]
    <vs>
    <jsp-servlet enable="true">
    <init-param>
    <param-name>use-precompiled</param-name>
    <param-value>true</param-value>
    </init-param>
    </jsp-servlet>
    <web-app uri="/hello" dir="/opt/webapps/hello" enable="true"/>
    </vs>
    All files have been extracted to /opt/webapps/hello properly. The server has been restarted.
    When I finally point my browser to http://server/hello or hello/index.jsp I get only a 404 - File not found message by the server. The context path seems to be totaly ignored.
    Heres the error log of the server

    I've found solution for this error: it is necessary to add to web.xml following:
    <listener>
    <listener-class>com.sun.faces.config.ConfigureListener</listener-class>
    </listener>
    I've added this, and now get a deployment error:
    [Feb 8, 2011 6:04:33 PM] Exception: NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/adf/view/faces/event/industrial/VirtualFunctionKeyActionEvent
    [Feb 8, 2011 6:04:34 PM] Operation failed with error: oracle/adf/view/faces/event/industrial/VirtualFunctionKeyActionEvent

  • Web Application Designer Problem with Variable Rolluptime_max

    Hi,
    I needed some help on one of the issues I am facing in the Web template.There is a requirement that a query when executed on the web should have LatestDataUpdate of the data provider on the Header of the Report, which in this case is the Web Template.
    The issue is that I used the Rolluptime_max as the variable to get the value in the Web template and it works fine too in Dev system as I can see the changes on the Web.When I transported the changes to QA system then also it worked fine but in Production after the transport it's not picking up the date.
    I checked the template and the changes which I did is there in Production but it still doesn't pick up the date.
    Can anybody help.I am on BI7.0
    Thanks
    Umang

    I resolved my problem!
    In the Content Administration of the portal:
    -Portal Content
    --Content Provided by SAP
    ---Platform Add-Ons
    Business Intelligence
    iViews
    BEx Web... right click, Open -> Object
    I've deleted the value in the property "BEx Web Application Query String", I put in it nothing.
    Now, it works!

    Hi!
    First of all, check transaction SMICM to see if the Internet Connection Manager is running.
    As you probably can see, your URL seems to be missing your domain name. Check your icm/host_name_full parameter (menu Go to->Parameter->Display from SMICM).
    Regards
    Andreas

  • There is no web application configured to service your request

    After upgrade from 7.0 to 7.0.1 to 7.0.2 ....

    Recycle your web server. If that doesn't fix it, then you
    might want to rerun the web server configurator.
    Delete the old connector and rebuild it.

  • Memory Leak in web application created using j2ee

    Hi,
    Our company has one web application, provided by "X" vendor. this application has many JSPs and many TLDs used. The basic behaviour of the apoplication is to connect to the database (Oracle) get the information and show it to the user.
    We deployed this web application in Tomcat 5.0.25 in the windows environment. One thing we observed here is, when we login to the application the tomcat5.exe process increses its memory. and when we logout, it does not come down to the original position. similar things happen when we search for some of the data using there provided searches.
    We have some code developed which uses httpclient to login to this web application (created for performace testing). This code initially logs in 50 users which goes fine, then logs in 100 users which also goes fine but after this 100 users we ran the code for 50 users agian but this time it threw OutOfmemory exception:Java heap space error.
    we are observing the memory in the Task Manager in windows.
    Can anyone tell me what could be the cause of this? is it the web application causing problem or is tomcat caching some pages into the memory and is not releasing them?

    Hi,
    Few questions!
    1> Have you tweaked your jvm?
    2> What are the values given for Xms and Xmx?
    3> What is the size of XX:MaxPermGen?
    4> How much RAM is available on the system where you have deployed your app?
    5> Are you using pre-complied JSPs for faster response?
    6> Which JDK are you using?
    7> Have you tried using latest version of Tomcat?
    8> If these doesnt help, use any profiler to find the leak. <JProfiler, JVMTI, YourKit profiler etc>
    I hope answering these questions would help you :)
    njoy!

    By defining this element, means that every manager will be changed.
    So when running a cluster, only make sure that you have webapps in there
    that need to be clustered and remove the other ones.
    A cluster has the following parameters:
    className = the fully qualified name of the cluster class
    name = a descriptive name for your cluster, can be anything
    mcastAddr = the multicast address, has to be the same for all the nodes
    mcastPort = the multicast port, has to be the same for all the nodes
    mcastBindAddr = bind the multicast socket to a specific address
    mcastTTL = the multicast TTL if you want to limit your broadcast
    mcastSoTimeout = the multicast readtimeout
    mcastFrequency = the number of milliseconds in between sending a "I'm alive" heartbeat
    mcastDropTime = the number a milliseconds before a node is considered "dead" if no heartbeat is received
    tcpThreadCount = the number of threads to handle incoming replication requests, optimal would be the same amount of threads as nodes
    tcpListenAddress = the listen address (bind address) for TCP cluster request on this host,
    in case of multiple ethernet cards.
    auto means that address becomes
    InetAddress.getLocalHost().getHostAddress()
    tcpListenPort = the tcp listen port
    tcpSelectorTimeout = the timeout (ms) for the Selector.select() method in case the OS
    has a wakup bug in java.nio. Set to 0 for no timeout
    printToScreen = true means that managers will also print to std.out
    expireSessionsOnShutdown = true means that
    useDirtyFlag = true means that we only replicate a session after setAttribute,removeAttribute has been called.
    false means to replicate the session after each request.
    false means that replication would work for the following piece of code: (only for SimpleTcpReplicationManager)
    <%
    HashMap map = (HashMap)session.getAttribute("map");
    map.put("key","value");
    %>
    replicationMode = can be either 'pooled', 'synchronous' or 'asynchronous'.
    * Pooled means that the replication happens using several sockets in a synchronous way. Ie, the data gets replicated, then the request return. This is the same as the 'synchronous' setting except it uses a pool of sockets, hence it is multithreaded. This is the fastest and safest configuration. To use this, also increase the nr of tcp threads that you have dealing with replication.
    * Synchronous means that the thread that executes the request, is also the
    thread the replicates the data to the other nodes, and will not return until all
    nodes have received the information.
    * Asynchronous means that there is a specific 'sender' thread for each cluster node,
    so the request thread will queue the replication request into a "smart" queue,
    and then return to the client.
    The "smart" queue is a queue where when a session is added to the queue, and the same session
    already exists in the queue from a previous request, that session will be replaced
    in the queue instead of replicating two requests. This almost never happens, unless there is a
    large network delay.
    -->
    <!--
    When configuring for clustering, you also add in a valve to catch all the requests
    coming in, at the end of the request, the session may or may not be replicated.
    A session is replicated if and only if all the conditions are met:
    1. useDirtyFlag is true or setAttribute or removeAttribute has been called AND
    2. a session exists (has been created)
    3. the request is not trapped by the "filter" attribute
    The filter attribute is to filter out requests that could not modify the session,
    hence we don't replicate the session after the end of this request.
    The filter is negative, ie, anything you put in the filter, you mean to filter out,
    ie, no replication will be done on requests that match one of the filters.
    The filter attribute is delimited by ;, so you can't escape out ; even if you wanted to.
    filter=".*\.gif;.*\.js;" means that we will not replicate the session after requests with the URI
    ending with .gif and .js are intercepted.
    The deployer element can be used to deploy apps cluster wide.
    Currently the deployment only deploys/undeploys to working members in the cluster
    so no WARs are copied upons startup of a broken node.
    The deployer watches a directory (watchDir) for WAR files when watchEnabled="true"
    When a new war file is added the war gets deployed to the local instance,
    and then deployed to the other instances in the cluster.
    When a war file is deleted from the watchDir the war is undeployed locally
    and cluster wide

    I have set the context path to /tdm in the server.xml file. Should this be placed in context.xml?
    My first page in the project is called Homepage.html. To start my project I give http://localhost:5050/tdm/homepage.html

    displayed on the next page. The URL in the browser says valid.jsp but a blank screen appears.
    WHY DOES IT HAPPEN SO? DOES IT MEAN THAT TOMCAT IS NOT RECOGNIZING JAVA IN MY SYSTEM OR IS IT A PROBLEM
    WITH THE DATABASE CONNECTION OR SOMETHING ELSE? I FEEL THAT TOMCAT IS NOT EXECUTING JSP COMMANDS?
    IS IT POSSIBLE?WHY WILL THIS HAPPEN?
    I set the JAVA_HOME and CATALINA_HOME environment to the jdk and tomcat folders resp.
    Is there any other thing that I need to set in classpath? Should I have my project as a
    WAR file in the webapps of TOMCAT or just a folder i.e. directory structure will fine?

    I am using Tomcat 5.5 and Jdk 1.5.0_12 and Oracle 10g. I am using jdbc-odbc bridge connection
    to connect to the database. I have placed my project folder called
    tdm under the webapps folder in Tomcat. This 'tdm' folder consists of
    a collection of html pages,jsp pages and images of my project. Also I created a
    WEB-INF folderand in that I have lib folder which contains catalina-root.jar
    , classes12.jar and nls_charset.jar files. And also in the WEB-INF folder I have the web.xml
    file which looks like this
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>

    By defining this element, means that every manager will be changed.
    So when running a cluster, only make sure that you have webapps in there
    that need to be clustered and remove the other ones.
    A cluster has the following parameters:
    className = the fully qualified name of the cluster class
    name = a descriptive name for your cluster, can be anything
    mcastAddr = the multicast address, has to be the same for all the nodes
    mcastPort = the multicast port, has to be the same for all the nodes
    mcastBindAddr = bind the multicast socket to a specific address
    mcastTTL = the multicast TTL if you want to limit your broadcast
    mcastSoTimeout = the multicast readtimeout
    mcastFrequency = the number of milliseconds in between sending a "I'm alive" heartbeat
    mcastDropTime = the number a milliseconds before a node is considered "dead" if no heartbeat is received
    tcpThreadCount = the number of threads to handle incoming replication requests, optimal would be the same amount of threads as nodes
    tcpListenAddress = the listen address (bind address) for TCP cluster request on this host,
    in case of multiple ethernet cards.
    auto means that address becomes
    InetAddress.getLocalHost().getHostAddress()
    tcpListenPort = the tcp listen port
    tcpSelectorTimeout = the timeout (ms) for the Selector.select() method in case the OS
    has a wakup bug in java.nio. Set to 0 for no timeout
    printToScreen = true means that managers will also print to std.out
    expireSessionsOnShutdown = true means that
    useDirtyFlag = true means that we only replicate a session after setAttribute,removeAttribute has been called.
    false means to replicate the session after each request.
    false means that replication would work for the following piece of code: (only for SimpleTcpReplicationManager)
    <%
    HashMap map = (HashMap)session.getAttribute("map");
    map.put("key","value");
    %>
    replicationMode = can be either 'pooled', 'synchronous' or 'asynchronous'.
    -->
    <!--
    When configuring for clustering, you also add in a valve to catch all the requests
    coming in, at the end of the request, the session may or may not be replicated.

  • ABAP Web Dynpro: Application Configuration vs Admin Personalization problem

    Hi,
    I created an application configuration for the application MT_ORDER_APP with a component configuration on RPLM_MT_ORDER_COMP.  I changed several Labels and UI Element visibility... and saved.
    When I test this application config for viewing an order of type ZX99, I don't see my changes.  If I right-click on the page, I see that the configuration Id used is MT_ORDER_ZX99.
    Why my Z config is overrided by this one???
    By testing in Admin mode, I discovered that I can personalize this MT_ORDER_ZX99 Config.... But then, the changes are visible to all users viewing ZX99 type orders.
    How to manage to make my Application Config highest in priority?

    Hi,
    how did  you  open in administrative mode?
    to open in adminstrative mode do as follows:
    In se80 ,i.e in the menu bar:
    Web Dynpro Application->Test->Test in Administation mode.
    i hope u can see the option "Settings for surrent config" .
    you can refer the thread.

  • A web developer problem while running a web application

    Hi all,
    I'm novice to J2EE.
    I've encountered a problem while accessing the deployed module in weblogic 8.1 server.
    I'm sure that the webapplication module is deployed as i saw my module in administration console & also the status said that it is deployed.
    when i access my web application by specifying the proper server and port no and context root it is showing
    either 505 - resource not found error(http://localhost:7001/Suresh-2/Suresh) or 404 - not found error.( http://localhost:7001/Suresh-2/Suresh)
    Now let me elaborate what i've done till now.
    My webapplication folder structure is : C:\bea\user_projects\domains\mydomain\applications\Suresh\WEB-INF\classes\Sai\ServExamp.class
    My servlet is ServExamp.java
    I created a folder called "Suresh". In that folder created another folder called "WEB-INF". In WEB-INF created a folder called "Classes".
    Since my servlet is in package "Sai", the .class file reside in \Suresh\WEB-INF\Classes\Sai\ServExamp.class
    The source code is :
    package Sai;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class ServExamp extends HttpServlet
    public void doPost(HttpServletRequest req,HttpServletResponse res)throws IOException
    PrintWriter out=res.getWriter();
    java.util.Date today=new java.util.Date();
    out.println("<html>"+"<body>"+
    "<h1 align=center>HF\'s Chapter1 Servlet </h1>"
    +"<br>"+today+"</body>"+"</html>");
    Now i'm almost done creating a web application. Next, I constructed a simple web.xml descriptor that gives a web friendly name for my servlet, and points to the servlet. I constructed web.xml descriptor file in the WEB-INF folder (C:\bea\user_projects\domains\mydomain\applications\Suresh\WEB-INF\).
    The web.xml file source is :
    <!DOCTYPE web-app
    PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN"
    "http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd">
    <web-app>
    <display-name>Hello World Web Application</display-name>
    <description>Test Servlet</description>
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>ServExamp</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>Sai.ServExamp</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>ServExamp</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/Suresh</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    </web-app>
    Now I have told Weblogic that the URI /Suresh corresponds to my servlet "Sai.ServExamp".
    My Web Application is ready to be deployed at this point. I logged onto Weblogic's admin console,
    1) clicked on deployments, then navigated to "Web Application Modules" .
    2) Clicked "Deploy new Web Application Module"
    3) Navigated to the location of your web application folder (Suresh). There was a radio button next to it indicating that I can select that folder as a valid web application.
    4) I Clicked that radio button and clicked "Target Module".
    5) It informed that my web application "Suresh" will be deployed to myServer.It asked a name for my web application deployment. By default it was "Suresh"
    I clicked Deploy.
    6) After deployment, my web application "Suresh" appeared in the "Web Application Modules" tree on the left.
    I Clicked on "Suresh"( my web application) then clicked the testing tab, then clicked the link shown there(http://localhost:7001/Suresh-2).
    It was not showing my servlet (showed a 403 error)
    Error - 403
    This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
    I think so it came b'coz I don't have an index.html or index.jsp page.
    7)Instead,I added my servlet on to the URL it provided.
    http://localhost:7001/Suresh-2/Suresh
    It is showing these error code: Http: 505 resource not allowed
    The page cannot be displayed
    The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because the address is incorrect.
    Please try the following:
    If you typed the page address in the Address bar, check that it is entered correctly.
    Open the localhost:7001 home page and then look for links to the information you want.
    Click Search to look for information on the Internet.
    when i just type : http://localhost:7001/ -> Error 404 not found error
    it's showing
    Error 404--Not Found
    From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
    The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
    If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
