  • CSS Dropdown Menu Issue in Contribute

    Hello everyone,
    My name is Boris and I have these question related to the
    Adobe Contribute.
    I'm working on a client web site where there is a CSS drop
    down menu that works in all the browsers. Which works perfectly in
    all the browsers without use of JavaScript. However, the issue
    comes when you use Contribute and it simply shows the entire drop
    down menu all incorrectly and overall design gets all wrong because
    of that. I was wondering if anyone had similar problem and has a
    solution for it or if there is a way to make code hidden just to
    Contribute?? I would very much welcome any help with this issue.
    Thank you everyone and have a great weekend. :-)

    I've figured it.
    Just so anyone else who is experiencing this knows - i
    changed all the
    margin-left properties to just 'left' and made the position
    relative. For
    some reason Contribute didn't recognise the margin-left
    property at all.
    Strange. It now displays exactly the same in dreamweaver,
    contribute, ie,
    firefox...etc.
    Thanks for your post Lime.

  • PS HTML Panel dropdown menu issue

    copy from http://forums.adobe.com/message/4897323
    Hello,
    I have made a panel using Configurator which only contain a HTML loader, and now I'm in the process of creating my UI in HTML.
    I need to reference all the shots of a production in a dropdown (combo) item. I have been using a <select></select> tag to do so. It does display correctly, but it's mostly unusable. If I click on it it will show the list but if I roll the mouse on the list (so rollout of the combobox) the list disappear.
    The only way I can use the combo, is to right click on it to get the focus, and then use the arrow keys to go through all of them. This is not really the best experience. Any idea on how to solve this ?
    cheers,
    F.
    Anyone would have a clue on how to proceed.

    This is a bug of Flex HTML widget. Third part bug for Configurator, and Configurator can do nothing to fix it. If combox is necessary for you, you can create a combox with JS and <div>, rather than using <select></select>.

  • Rollover dropdown menu issue

    helpppp!!!!
    ok here's whats going on... i'm making a rollover drop down
    menu for a site im creating for myself...
    in fireworks, when i preview it... it works fine
    when i try to preview the page or template in dreamweaver, it
    doesn't work.
    i'm fairly new with a lot of this stuff. i tried going to
    insert rollover image and tried swapping between the .jpg file for
    the menu and the .htm file for the menu. basically with the jpg
    file, the rollover image works but no menu. when i use the .htm
    file, a small box appears within the image button... which one am i
    supposed to be using?
    as for the mm_menu file which was created, am i supposed to
    do anything with it or is it automatic?
    thanks

  • Update form not returning correct data selection in dropdown menu

    Using CS3 DW along with SQL 2008 R2. I have a number of dropdown menus on an entry form (using VBScript/ASP) that are feed by SQL queries. All data is accepted in the entry form and writes to the table in the database without any issues. I created an Update form and based on a Rec ID clicked on from a list the Update form is presented with all the data in the correct fields except for one dropdown menu. All the other menus go to the correct selection except for the one. Spent 2 days attempting to resolve this. If I change the dropdown menu to a field the correct data is presented when the form comes up, but doesn't allow the user to make a selection from the menu. When I change it back to a dropdown menu the saved selection is not selected - just lists the entire list of items in the menu. Any help or ideas on this is greatly appreciated.

    Hello All,
    Once more thank you. I have sorted the issue out.
    I observed that I was selecting the wrong field. I selected the field matching the record set of the select instead of the field matching the record set of the table I am working as seen on the image belew
    I was selecting this - This is the record set of the table that hold values for the city select list
    Instead of this. This is the record set of the table behind the form I am working on
    My issue is now re-solved.

  • Align select dropdown menu on the right edge of parent box

    Hello,
    I was wondering if you can help me about an issue i have with Firefox browser.
    I'm designing a webpage and i have a "<select>" menu with numerous options.
    On Firefox the left edge of the dropdown menu aligns to the left edge of the
    parent "<select>" box whereas in other browsers (Chrome, IE) aligns to the right.
    The entire menu, is located on the right edge of my page
    The result is when the innertext of an option is very long,
    exceeds the margins of the page and is cut.
    Is there any hidden option (css-fix), so that i could make dropdown menu align to
    the right of the parent box , just like other browsers?
    (I have some screenshots of the menu, but i don't know where to post them)
    Thank you in advance!

    Could you post your Screenshot and code.
    There is "browse" icon above POST REPLY button, it helps to add your image.

  • Dropdown Menu same raw value changes back to top list item

    Ok guys.  I have such a weird issue.  I have some code as follows from a dropdown menu:
    <items>
                         <text>Zeutering</text>
                         <text>Rabies 1 Year (Dog or Cat)</text>
                         <text>Puppy Pack (DAPPv and Dewormer)</text>
                         <text>Kitten Pack (HCP+FeLV and Dewormer)</text>
                         <text>Adult Dog Pack 1 (Rabies, DAPPvL2+CV and Dewormer)</text>
                         <text>Adult Cat Pack 1 (Rabies, HCP+FeLV, and Dewormer)</text>
                         <text>Deluxe Adult Dog Pack (Rabies, DAPPvL2+CV, Bordatella, and Dewormer)</text>
                         <text>Heartworm Pack (Heartworm test + six months of prevention)</text>
                         <text>Microchip (Home Again Chip)</text>
                         <text>Flea and Tick Medications</text>
                      </items>
                      <items save="1" presence="hidden">
                         <text>65.00</text>
                         <text>10.00</text>
                         <text>20.00</text>
                         <text>25.00</text>
                         <text>35.00</text>
                         <text>35.00</text>
                         <text>50.00</text>
                         <text>95.00</text>
                         <text>30.00</text>
                         <text>10</text>
                      </items>
    The problem I am having is this.  When I select  <text>Adult Cat Pack 1 (Rabies, HCP+FeLV, and Dewormer)</text>  from the dropdown menu the option goes to   <text>Adult Dog Pack 1 (Rabies, DAPPvL2+CV and Dewormer)</text>   which is the option above the option I selected as noted above.  The only thing I can think of is that because they have the same value it is causing this to happen.  I've never had an issue like this before with dropdown menus so I'm not sure how to fix it.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Justin

    Hi Justin,
    You are right, the dropdown only works if the values are unique.  So one fix would be to add something to the value making it unique and then striping it off when selected.  So if your values were;
                <items save="1" presence="hidden">
                   <text>65.00:1</text>
                   <text>10.00:2</text>
                   <text>20.00:3</text>
                   <text>25.00:4</text>
                   <text>35.00:5</text>
                   <text>35.00:6</text>
                   <text>50.00:7</text>
                   <text>95.00:8</text>
                   <text>30.00:9</text>
                   <text>10:10</text>
                </items>
    In the change event you could have some JavaScript code something like;
    var valueId = this.boundItem(xfa.event.newText);
    app.alert(parseFloat(valueId));
    The parseFloat function will stop parsing when it hits an invalid character like the colon.
    It is tempting to use a natural key (as you have) but I would probably have used a surrogate key (that is something only the form knows about, like 1,2,3, etc) and then look it up in some structure maybe as simple as a JavaScript array, depends on the complexity of your form.
    Hope this helps,
    Bruce

  • Fireworks Pop Up Menu Issue in Dreamweaver

    Hi I have built a pop up/dropdown menu in Fireworks. This menu bar is for a site that I built using dreamweaver. I exported the menu bar in fireworks and then inserted it into dreamweaver but when I do this the button images are missing. Instead of images (of the menu bar categories), there are gray boxes in the shape of the picture (category/button image).
    I had this issue before and was able to correct it. I am not sure what I did though. Nothing seems to be working, since I am unaware of how I actually fixed it, I can't figure out how to fix it again.
    When I preview the file in fireworks, it looks fine and everything seems to work. When I insert the html file into dreamweaver, I have this issue with the menu bar images. The weird thing is that it is only the button images. I do have this site published and I have uploaded all of the files but the pictures still do not show. The link to this site is www.pariswyattllansoart.com. (the site is still under construction obviously).
    The menu bar works fine otherwise. The only issue is that the up and over images for the buttons of the menu bar do not show in dreamweaver or on the published site. Even the images that make up the rest of the menu bar show. If you check the site out, you will see what I mean.
    Thanks for your help in advance!

    Thanks you!!! Your advice was so helpful. First of all thank you for pointing out how I should be saving my files. Because of your advice, I thought I would watch the tutorial again and pay attention to exactly how he was saving his document. I was saving the doc like this: Menu Bar, now I know that I need to save this file like this: menuBar_file and it works wonderfully. The files have to be saved in a folder in the local directory. Also because of how I was saving things, I realized that I had a few other problems with DW. I fixed those issues and DW works wonderfully.
    Also here is something else that I learned from this. Once I got the images working, the dropdown/popup menus where no longer working. The issue was that I was trying to insert the FW dropdown menu into a document that had already been saved as a template. If you do this, there is not enough room for all of the code, so the remedy is to insert the menu bar into an html doc. and then save it as a template.
    Thanks so much again. I have learned so much.

  • PDF hides dropdown menu

    This issue is similar to issue 510902 in this forum. On our website we have a Dropdown listed in a table and then we pull in PDF files into the body of the page which is setup like a frame. However, when a PDF is being pulled in (not using any target) the dropdown menu hides behind the PDF. I have tried setting the PDF in an IFrame and the same thing takes place. We also have tried placing different targets around the PDF but the same thing happens. I have been reading everywhere where this is an issue but no fix. Does Adobe have an answer to this?
    Thanks,

  • Dropdown menu not showing entries

    Hello. I created a fillable form in Acrobat XI using text boxes, check boxes, and dropdown menus. The first issue is when the form is opened on a tablet running Windows 8.1 and using Acrobat Reader XI, the fields are not highlighted. The second issue (bigger one) is when the form is emailed from the tablet and opened on my laptop in the office, none of the dropdown menu fields are not populated at all. I have Acrobat Pro XI on the Windows 8.1 laptop. The text boxes and check boxes work fine. When I open the saved file in the tablet, the dropdown menus are populated.
    Interestingly, when the form is filled out, saved, and emailed from a Mac, the dropdown menus and check boxes work fine, but the entries in the text boxes are blank unless I click the field. Then they only show up until I click out of it.
    Any suggestions on how to fix these issues would be greatly appreciated.

    The problem with the ones you received from the Mac user is they used the Preview application, as opposed to Adobe Reader. Preview currupts PDFs in a number of ways and this behavior is an indication that it's corrupted. You can open the file in Acrobat, export the form data to FDF/XFDF, and import the from data into a blank, non-corrupted version of the form.
    Regarding the problem with the dropdowns when saved from the tablet, can you post a smaple form somewhere so we can take a look?

  • System shows ?????? in the dropdown menu for variable

    Hello
    There use SAP BI 7.0.
    Dropdown menu for query variable shows these symbols for all the values ???????
    How I can sort it out?
    Thanks

    Good day,
    SAP Note 1368055 should resolve the issue.
    This Note includes parameter F4_LIST_NO_LINEBRAEKS which may need to be added using transaction SE38 and program SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN. Remember to regenerate your queries to ensure they work with the new parameter in-place.
    Hope this helps!

    I am having this issue too. There are a few issue threads on github for this, but AFAIK, no solution as of now.

  • Little website symbols at left of site names in Bookmarks have disappeared in dropdown menu

    These are the individual small square symbols identifying the website. They are present when checking under "show all bookmarks" in the dropdown menu [which opens the info files], but not present as they were previously in the individual link lines in the dropdown menu.

    Hi nateich2,
    You should take a look at [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/latest-firefox-issues this article] that discusses some of the issues with the latest build of Firefox.
    There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Why won't cells autopopulate when using numbers on the ipad? Anyone have a fix? Have also created a dropdown menu, but that does not translate from excel to numbers either.

    Why won't cells autopopulate when using numbers on the ipad as they will in excel? Anyone have a fix? I have also created a dropdown menu in excel, but that does not translate from excel to numbers either.

    Glad you got it sorted out.
