Webgui Searchhelp tabstrip problem

Hi All,
In ITS in transaction XD02 when we click on search help all search properties are displaying properly with letters.The issue is suppose if we select one search property for example if we select "customers country code" it is displaying all the fields related to that property and we moved out of the that transaction just by closing the search help.Again if we access xd02 after sometimeand when we click on search help it is still displaying the search fields for "customers by country code" instead of first search property fields "Customers (general)".In R/3 its working fine but this problem is occuring only when acessing through ITS. Can any one have idea how to avoid this one?

You see that it works perfectly fine in SAP GUI...normal GUI that you launch from SAP LOGON pad.
But the problem arises only when we try to change the layout in WEBGUI(ITS).i.e launches the same session on a WEB BROWSER.
I may have to check if its a SAP error.....
Its a ALV GRID in standard transaction SAP claims management screen..

Tabstrip problem

Hi;
I have a tabstrip on my screen which have 8 tabs. Each tab has required fields which must be filled. My problem is : when i fill the fields on one tab and press SAVE button it didnt check the other required fileds on the other tabs whether they are filled or not. I dont want to check the fields if they are filled because there are 40-50 required fields on screen.
Is there any other solution ?

I don't understand your problem. You say when you Save it does not check the other fields and then you say you don't want it to check other fields. So it sounds like it's doing what you want it to do. No?
Do you mean to say, you have so many fields that you don't want to check each field but at the same time, they are required fields? So you want to make sure all fields are filled when you Save but you don't want to check, right?
If this is the case, as someone suggested, make the all the fields mandatory and it should work.

ITS webgui transaction width problem

we are getting no splash screen and the webgui (HTML) launched from portal -
we have problem when we launch a transaction from portal.
we see the transaction inside the webgui is shorten (reduced width) but when I click on the transaction directly in webgui - transaction displayed properly

I would like to know the SAP_BASIS package level (SAPKBxxxxx format) and the kernel release/patch level.

Transaction I view for WebGui(Html) creation problem

Hi All,
I am creating a transaction Iview for WebGui, I am done with I view creation part but when I open the I view its giving
No switch made to HTTPS; so it is unsafe to send your password.
SSO between was and ecc is working fine. I read postings related this issue. No one is able to get the proper solution. I mean why it is happening and how to fix it. Please let me know if any knows how to fix this.

WEBGUI:Alv Layout Problem

Hi All,
I am making changes to the ALV GRID and doing a save of the layout and then,I load the layout which I just saved.
I am able to see the fields in the order of my choice as I have saved.
This works perfectly in normal SAP GUI.
Load the GRID.
Click 'change layout' ->Save to a new layout ->Press 'Select Layout' ->Choose the newly Saved Layout ->Check if the GRID columns are as per the order in the LAYOUT.
When I try doin the same in SAP WEBGUI,on the load of the newly changed layout it is the same old layout that I get to see loaded on the screen i.e. the columns do not appear in the order I want it to be.I wonder waht on earth is wrong with WEBGUI ALV GRID(if at all there is any)
All the help in this world is welcome.

May i know where are u writing the code for your subscreen?
See using the Display Tab trigger you are filling the table...but where are u displaying it...i.e. it has to be displayed in the subscreen rite? where is that being written...i assume u are using a table control for that in screen 200...just check that out...
Otherwise i dont see any problem with this...
Correct me if i am wrong or if misunderstood ur question...!

Protected tab Titles + Tabstrip + Problem

i have created a tabstrip using wizard and all the tab buttons and subscreens are working fine except for one warning message I get everytime I pust a tab. The message is
Diagnosis
Protected tab titles are not supported.You cannot print the title on a tab index as the tab index does not support this'.
Procedure
Check the screen modifications or the Screen Painter definitions of the tab title.
When you modify the screen, do not set the INPUT attribute of the tab title to '0'.

Tabstrip problems

Hi ALL,
I am using tabstrip to do the work.
the flow of call is like this.
1,define the tabstrip, and subscreen for the tabstrip. and some other needed. we assume that the screen of tabstrip is 0100.
any direct click on tabstrip can be performed correctly.
2,after user click one button on the menu, call something like this: perform run_check.
3,in run_check, updated the tabstrip-activetab, and update the content of subscreen, and also called the refresh of subscreen.
4,the update of subscreen content is successful. but the tabstrip didn't.
5, only after all the operation finished, back to screen 0100, the tabstrip update can be visible.
didn't there any operation like the refresh to tabstrip???

I have checked it, the tabstrip-ACTIVETAB do changed.
but if do the leave to screen 0100, the tabstrip is valid. (I mean the leave to 0100 can make the screen 0100 is visible, but I can not do this, because there are some other code to do after the tabstrip is activated)
so for this kind of way I do like this:
call screen 0100. then in the pbo of 0100 leave to screen 0.( this can back to the code and go on the following code)
but this way doesnot work.

Searchhelp (OVS) Problem

I am using severalOVS Search Helps which all do work fine. The requirements are the following: the underlying inputfuield should be read only. If set the input field to read only, the OVS can´t add any values to the field anymore. How can I implement OVS enabled input fields which are not changeable except from OVS inputs.

Why would you do this? Marking a field as readonly tells a user that he/she was not able to enter anything. From the perspective of usability having readonly fields with "hidden ways" of changing a value is a bad idea. Moreover, if the input field is not readonly, the user will be able to enter a value directly. Most experienced users know exactly what to enter and are usually faster using the keyboard than clicking themselves through several popups.

Problem displaying checkbox in searchhelp + default fixed input-parameter

At a CRM 7 project we are facing the following 2 problems with a 'customer'-searchhelp
I have created the searchhelp in SE11, the data is fetched via a search-help exit, and I call the search-help via the GET_V method of my attribute
This is working fine ...
But one of the input-parameters of my search-help should be displayed as a checkbox iso a 1 char field.
How can I influence this ?
Normally I would use the GET_I method but this time I do not have the component-name/view ... and even when I did, I assume this is a generic component/view attribute used for every searchhelp
Second problem is that one input parameter should be defaulted. Normally I can use the INPUT-MAPPING table.
However this time this is not possible since the value I need to pass is not available as an attribute in my component.
I tried to use the 'PRESEL' step in my search-help exit, this is working fine when I test in SAP-gui but in the Web-UI the system apparently does not go thru this step.
Why ?
Does anyone have an alternative ?

Unwanted Tooltips on Push buttons with ~webgui 1

We are still using integrated ITS on ECC 6.0 and have recently implemented support stack 15, which messed up all of our table control. By upgrading the service parameters below, we were able to fix the table control issues and the screen works fine. However, when we put the mouse over the pushbuttons in the application, it shows our tool tip followed by "pushbutton deactivated". The pushbuttons actually work fine and we tried changing our tool tip text in the screen, but whatever we put in always adds "pushbutton deactivated" to our wording on the screen. Any idea where this might come from.
We have tried to play with the SICF parameters and if we remove the ~webgui 1 the problem is eliminated, but then we have trouble with our toolbar, which none of the simple_toolbar parameters will seem to fix.
-Change the ~generateDynpro 1 to ~webgui 1
-Change the ~webTransactionType EWT to ~webgui_simple_toolbar 128
-add ~webgui_theme sl
-add ~theme sl

this issue will be resolved with Support Package 16. To fix this error
on SP15 please open GUI_BUTTON.HTML in SE80, service WEBGUI, theme DM

Publishing EBP services to ITS

Hi there
I am dealing with SRM 2.0 / EBP 3.5. WAS 6.20
Till now everything was running well the BBP services were published from the system onto the ITS using the transaction code se38, the workbench settings were checked as well and the web server was maintained in table TWPULSVR with webserver, protocol and port.
I could logon to SRM with different users and create shopping cart and so on, but now for all functions that are called from SRM I get the EBP front-end instead of getting a web page I precise that on the left hand side I get the web menu as usual. I don't know what happened.
Did anyone face a similar issue and how did you solve it.

If you have a look at the links in the menu you'll see somthing like

The second parameter of the function (here 'IAC') influences the way the transaction is launched in the browser:
-IAC ==> Web IAC
-WBGUI ==> WebGUI
So your problem comes from the fact that the links are not well generated.
I never faced the Pb with the standards transactions, but often with specific IACs.
The FM that generates the links look into table TWPSRVCLSS, wich stores the transactions types (IAC or not) if field UI_CLASS = 'I' the system launches IAC, else the webgui is used.
To correct your issue:
-Check the transaction definition of the IAC service in SE93. The transaction should be flaged as EasyWeb transaction, with the service name filled. and SAPGUI for HTML flaged
-Check entries in table TWPSRVCLSS, look for your transaction, change UI_CLASS to 'I' if necessary.
NB: The way the system manages the TWPSRVCLSS table stays half a mystery for me. The fact is that it is updated every time you restart the server. Another way to update the table is to launch FM 'WP_RUNTIME_CACHE_RELOAD'.

Log On problem via webgui. sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui

Hello, would you be so kind to help me in my problem.
I have sap web as 7.00, and i have published a service for using "sap gui for html" via browser from the Remote Place.

icm/server_port_0 i made 80 in the profile
(icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=80).
But there is such a problem.
When u try to connect using this url it gives u the log on screen to enter your user/password (u can even change it!!)
but when you try to log on it just refreshes the screen and nothing actually happens.
The same time when you are doing it licaly in the office everything works fine.
Does anybody know what can be the solution of this problem?

Well i have tried to use this transaction (SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INTERNAL) and it published a lot of services, but still i can't log on from home, for example, to the system in our office where ICM and ITS are running.
I found an interesting link

And i tried mannually to publish "SYSTEM" and "SHUFFLER" services. The same time "WEBGUI" service works fine in the office. Those two i also can publish, but i can't start them in SE80.

sap/bc/gui/sap/its/system/ call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available. And i can't find such a service following that link... Still it shows that it has been published.
May be it is so because i can't test the service

Performance Problems with UI Element Tabstrip and IE

Hi,
I use the UI Element "Tabstrip" in a Java Web Dynpro Application. The application gets slower the more I jump from one tab to the next. All the other UI Elements (e.g. ComboBox, TextField) are affected, too.
A system trace on the Web AS seems to indicate that it is a client problem.
We are using the Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180 XP SP2 and the J2EE Engine 6.40.
It seems to be a problem with the Tabstrip element in combination with the IE (Firefox 3 works fine). We created a test application with only the tabstrip element, three tabs, and a combo box. After several clicks on the tabs, the test application gets slower...
Does anyone has had the same problem with the tabstrips, or anyone an idea what might be the reason??

It had shown the screen of SAP WEB Application Server with portal SID and asking for credentials. after proving the credentials its shown SAP screen successfully.
My aim is to make use of SAPGUI for HTML in the place of SAPGUI for WINDOWS.
Now i had changed SAPGUI for HTML in transactional IVew and getting the same screen succesfully. as it ask for SAP user Id pwd. i had entered the same credentials wat i had entred earlier during the test. Now its showing an error like
Client, name, or password is not correct; log on again .
For your information we had setup the UME data source as AS ABAP.and had face the problem of creating users from portal identity mangement. so created the users from WAS directly. But any ways right now i am working with the superadmin user only.
what could be the problem ?why its not working in portal while working fine with URL ?

Check SAP Note 698329 this note give details for logon fails
U Need to enable SAPGUI for html
goto se80 give internet services (in the drop down box)
Below drop down give SYSTEM publish these service by right clicking system publish--complete service.
and also publish same way WEBGUI
and also enter ur server ip address and hostname in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc-->hosts
