Webi Error (WIS-10901)

Hi,
I migrated a report from BO XI 3.0 to BO XI 3.1. while refreshing the migrated report, I am getting the following error: Database error occurred. The database error text is: ora-12170 :TNS: Connect Timeout occurred. (WIS-10901). But the source (BO XI 3.0) report is working fine.
Plesae help me in resolving this.

Hi,
Install Oracle Client on that PC.
If already installed
Place TNSNAME.ORA file under
<OracleHome>...\network\admin.
Ask your DBA ,he will provide this information.

I am running a Query via prompt where in user can select the vendors from the list , if they choose number of vendors less than 1000, then it will run without error. If user will select all the vendors which is around 1537 , user will get this error. Is there any limitation on the prompt in regards to number of selection . Is there any setting in CMC which can increase the threshold to more than 1000
Following Error I am getting:
Database Error:ORA-01795 Maximum number of expression in a list is 1000. Contact your business object Administrator or database supplier for more information. (Error: WIS 10901) (Error:INF)

yes - there is a Limitation with 1000.
Maybe this is a workaround:
Create two DB Fields on your DB. The First with all Customer # till 1000 and a second with all Customer # above 1000

Error WIS 10901 while executing report in Webi

Hi,
I am getting an error WIS 10901 when I am trying to run a query in Webi.
In that query in BW side I have restricted with Char variable with manual entry. After that I have saved that and created a universe based on that. In Universe also its showing that Variable is there and I have changed the properties by checking the box of "delegate search". After that I have saved and exported the universe.
In Infoview I have opened that universe and created a report when I am trying to run that query its asking for values for promt. After giving the value its throwing a error saying that " Database error WIS 10901".
I have checked in SM59 for MDX its working fine.
Can anyone please let me know the answer ASAP.

Webi and BW Hierarchy-Promts Error WIS 10901

Hi together,
I'm using Webi in Combination with a SAP BW Query. BO is 3.1 with FP 2.9, on SAP-site it's SP07.
I've got an infoobject with a hierarchy. In the Query I've got a hierarchy-variable on this hierarchy.
The variable is optional.
Using Bex-Analyzer I can use the variable to select nodes from the hierarchy and it works fine.
I've got a universe on the Query and want to create a Webi on this universe.
When prompting the variable in webi and trying to refresh the LOV I get an Error WIS 10901.
Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem?

yes there's a keyfigure in this report.

BO Web i error WIS 10901 on SAP BI7 while dragging Detail obj?

I have Bo xi R2 sp5.I am Generating Report on BI 7 version on BEX query.I am able to generate few reports and integration kit is also successfully installed.
Now i am facing one proble while generating one FI report.
I am able to view the values of few objects which includes "Detail,dimetion and keyfigures".
But for some "Detail Object in BO" which are "Characterstics of oblect in BW" the follwing error message i am getting while runing the query in WEB I .
Query 3 - FI_ZFI_Collection
Database error: [SOFA Driver] : Error getting members for hierarchy (level=ZFI_I03/ZFI_I03_Q0001, member=[ZFI_I03___F172], opcode=[ZFI_I03___F172]) . System error in program CL_RSDM_READ_MASTER_DATA and form VALUEREAD-02- (see long text). Contact your Business Objects administrator or database supplier for more information. (Error: WIS 10901)

In case where you need an answer "ASAP" I would suggest you contact Support.

Hello expert.
I have some problem about QaaWS.
When I create and build my query then click next to run query it appear error
Get data provider warning
getDocumentInformation exception (Error: WIS 10901)
A database error occured. The database error text is: (CS) "Specified RDBMS is invalid" . (WIS 10901)
But when I query in Web Intelligence Rich Client it work normally.
When I enter url http://<hostname>:8080/dswsbobje/services/Session
I got message.
"Please enable REST support in WEB-INF/conf/axis2.xml and WEB-INF/web.xml"
Please give me some suggestion

Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. Unknow error (WIS 10901)

Hello to Everybody,
We are working with Business Objects EDGE series XI 3.0 and SAP BW 3.5. We work over Financial Infocubes. Our problem appears when we try to refresh a Profit & (Loss) (CO-PA Query) with more than two periods of time. If we work with one or two periods everything works perfect.
The error:
Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. Unknow error (WIS 10901)
Could someone help us?

Hi Marti,
could you provide the details on the elements that you included into the query panel for the Web Intelligence report and which items are being used in the report ?
Can you execute a BI query that looks the same meaning that all elements from the web Intelligence query panel need to be in the rows or columns.

We have a webi report and this report's universe is based a bex query. During the run of webi report the error occured as :
MDDataSetBW.GetcellData. Unknown error (WIS 10901)
When we examined the similar errors in SDN, we generally see that remove the unused measures, dimensions and check your filters. When we have removed the unused measures(number of unused measures are not too much, maybe max 5) we don't get this error. But we are sure our data will grow and if this problem is a memory problem based on BO, or BW(we dont know) we will get this error again and there will not be any chance to remove unused objects.
We have run the report on BW via RSRT t-code and we don't get error. Meanwhile, the result of says that max 65535 rows displayed. Also, when we run the bex report via bex analyzer, we see that the dialog user's process is finalizing without any problem but excel gives an internal error during the show results.
Our BW server's release is 701 and level of package is 7. And our BO server is 3.1 and sp1.
We need your help.

Take a look at the Web Intelligence query panel and make sure that all objects that you have in the web Intelligence query panel are in the rows for your BW query BEFORE running the query in transaction RSRT >> then you comparing the right things.
In addition you might want to look at the feature "Query stripping" which is part of SP3 with Web Inteligence.

I am able to refresh the report in Infoview and data is dispalying , but when i schedule the report in infoview i am getting that error.
I am not clear on below one could you please elaborate on this
You need to create ODBC for SQL server.Check your BO server is able to connect SQL Server.

GetDatasourceObject LOV exception (error WIS: 10901) Qaaws

WHile creating query in QAAWS
on a SAP BW universe on an infocube, while adding a filter object to the query, Iam getting this error.
"GetDatasourceObject LOV exception (error WIS: 10901)"
If i donot choose any filter options and want to see the preview of the query, Iam getting the error WIS 10901
Database error: License key check failed, Check that you are licensed to access SAP Data sources.
Please let me know any solutions to resolve these issues

This suggests that you are licensed to link to SAP data sources. Check the licence of your Software to see if it is the SAP version or the Standard Non SAP Version.

Error: WIS 10901 in Web Intelligence XI in infoview

Hi, expert!
Now I am facing a strange problem, all my webi reports against universe created using Infocube/Bex query (basically SAP data source) get a error message in infoview -A database error occured. The database error text is: A runtime exception has occured. (License key check failed. Check that you are licensed to access SAP data sources). (WIS 10901). However all those reports can run in webi rich client without any problem.
Any clues whether this is a license issue or something else?

It sounds to me that the license key for the integration Kit for SAP solutions has expired on your BO server. Make sure to renew it.

I am having the same problem. I checked and double checked everything, including deleting and recreating the Universe and the Connection. No improvement. On a whim, I deleted the hierarchy from the query on which the Universe was based, and recreated the Universe on the query without the hierarchy. The problem went away.

Hi, i have this enviroment :
-SAP BW 7.01 (with SAP giu client)
-SAP business objects XI R3.1
-SAP Integration Kit 3.1
-Windows server 2008 64bit (application server)
-SAP JCo 3.05
In Designer I have created a Universe based on BW Infocube and when I open my infoview and execute a document with that universe, I have this error:
MDX with error boot error syntactic analyzer: timeout during allocate / cpic-call: ThSAPCRMCV'. (WIS 10901)
This appear only when I use more than one dimension.
I tried to change the librfc32.dll in SysWow64 with last release but I have an error with rfcsvr32 command to register the dll.
In my environment variables have:
PATH:<dir JCO>; c:\Windows\SysWOW64 (for librfc32.dll)
CLASSPATH:<dirJCo>\sapjco3.jar

I have installed SAP JCo 3.5 because in service.sap.com/connectors is specified that with Windows Server 2008 correct release is the 3.0.5...
If you think that I must try with the 2.1.9 I try it.
The problem is that we are consultant and we have access to machine where is installed BO and we access to SAP BW only through SAP GUI , so we haven't access to /usr/sap/<SID>/sys/exe and we are not able to use SM59!!!! Is indispensable??

Webi Error (WIS 10012) when trying to create a variable help me

I am struck with an error in webi When i trying to create a tax variable i have given the formula as [Sales Revenue]* 0.175 and trying to save it i am getting the below error
" the Number .175 at position 15 has a format that is incompatible with your regional settings,(WIS 10012)"
when i try in different way [Sales Revenue]* (0,175) i am getting right answer. Please help me where i have to change my regional settings.

What is the Locale set at the universe level inside Tools --> Options --> General tab? Can you share the screenshot?
The drop down option at left bottom side helps you to set the language for the GUI; however, the button next to it decides the locale of the data.
You need to set the same locale at Webi level as well. If your value is a decimal value then setting locale to English US might not help as comma (,) is used for digit grouping and dot (.) is used as a decimal seperator; whereas, the value shown by has comma as decimal seperator.
The locale settings of European countries (like French, Dutch, German, etc.) have the opposite format i.e. dot is used for digit grouping and comma is used for decimal seperation.
I am pretty sure any of such locales are set at universe level. Check and have same locale in Webi Preferences.

LaunchPad WEBI error IES 10901

Hello gurus,
I've a report created on web intelligence rich client, and on rich client it works perfectly.
After this I publicate this report to CMS, but when I try to run on it throws me an error
"COM Provider CLSID not specified or erroneous" (IES 10901).
I have made some research, and on some posts I've seen some reply's but seem to be all in order with those replys.
Could you help me on this?

I've tryed to ping SQL server, from BO Server, has defined like a solution on KB 1930287, but on my case this works fine. This means that BO server talks really god with SQL server.
