Below SAP solution found in BOB Forum.
Apply this solution, it will works fine !!
Just add this -javaArgs "Xmx900m,Xincgc,server" in the command line of the server
Hope this helps:
Symptom
Scheduled WebIntelligence reports remain stuck in 'pending' status after installing Microsoft windows patches of April 2009. Restarting the Adaptive Job Server, Central Management Server or Server Intelligence Agent has no effect.
The Event Viewer logs show the following entry: Unable to start the sub-process (Job Server Child). Cause : Couldn't get IJob interface or writing IAudit: Pipe exception. Reason: jobserverchild (WebIJavaSchedulingService ReplicationSchedulingService, 0, Timeout waiting for Child 4716 to register (120seconds).
Reproducing the Issue
Install Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.x on a French Windows 2003 SP2 32bits server
Install the following Microsoft windows update patches of April 2009:

  • Webi report publication with org unit personalization mapping

    Hi everyone,
I have an HR Webi report whose source is a Bex query and is scheduled (published) weekly. The report is meant for managers so in the dynamic recipient report (another webi report) I have manager's name, email and org unit. Right now the bex query does not restrict by organizational unit, the filtering by unit is done in webi through the 0employee's org unit attribute. This works, each manager only sees data of her own employees.
However, managers would like to see not only their direct people (employees belonging to her own org unit) but also submanagers, ie, managers of subordinate org units. I tried filtering through the org unit of 0ORGUNIT, not the employee's o.unit attribute, but that doesn't work. The same manager shows up multiple times in the report.
Has anyone managed to publish a webi report (or Crystal if that's possible) that shows the chief hat's subhierarchy?
    thanks

    Hi Graham,
The publication should work in the same way for a user or a group.
Can you please elaborate on u201Cassigning a user to the groupu201D, I believe this is probably where you go wrong.
Please test same workflow I suggested yesterady, but instead of user, use the group:
    1. create the profile
    2. add the group to the profile
    3. assign the profile value to the group for that profile
    4. add the group to the publication as Recipient
Does it work or not?  If so, then do as follow for the user and group:
    1. create the profile
    2. Add user and group to the profile
    3. assign the profile value to the user and group for that profile
    4. add the user and group to the publication as Recipient
Please note that in the above steps, you donu2019t have to assign the user to the group.

  • Some blank WebI report sent by publication

    Hello
    I'm working on BO XI 3.1 SP2.
I have created two webi documents.
The first one contains a report used to list the dynamic recipients of mail.
This report is filled and display : Ids, Full Name, destination mail adress.
    It contains undreds of recipients.
The second Webi document contains the datas I want to send to my recipients.
My publication is set with a personalization in order to limit the datas to the scope of each recipient.
For that I use two fields matching in the recipient document query and in the sent document query.
My publixation is scheduled once a week and works fine.
My problem is that some users receive blank reports with the normal publication.
When I try the test mode and I select these users as recipients, filtering the destination list by unchecking the tick box in the dynamic destination screen, I receive the Excel file all filled.
So Can you please help me explaining why my excel files are blank with the normal publication and filled with the test mode.
This problem doesn't appears for all users.
    Lot of thanks
    Getdaone

    Hi Getdaone,
First off you are not supported under XI3.1 SP2 for Product fixes, so I would recommend you upgrade to a supported patch level, i.e. SP3 or SP4.
There a few known bugs with Publications delivering blank reports.
Please check the following SAP Notes to see if any match your workflow:
1540031 - Scheduling a Web Intelligence publication does not return data.
1630285 - Empty report tabs appear in webi report when scheduling through publication.
1539855 - Users get blank Web Intelligence reports from publications with profiles when the report is saved without data in BOE XI 3.1.
1570436 - Publications containing multi-query Web Intelligence reports scheduled to dynamic recipients is missing data or sends blank reports
The bug described under 1570436 is apparently fixed in FP3.7 which should be out in December.
    I hope this helps <<Text removed>>
If not then I would suggest raising a support message with SAP.
    Kind regards,
    John

  • Publication Businness Objects XI3 (WebI reports)

    Hi experts,
I am currently creating PDF publication based on WebI reports. My client refuse to use the standard access to publication files (right click on publication -> History -> left click on the instance -> access to the PDF) because he thinks that it is too complicated for end-users.
We proposed to use Business Objects Indox or to send the files by email but it has been refused.
Finally they want the PDF to be directly available into Infoview folders. A folder would correspond to one publication.
Do you know if it possible to publish the PDF directly toward these folders ? Do you have a solution to match with the customer needs ?
    Thanks for help.

  • Publication with WebI report including all transactions from last run

    Hi,
using BOE XI R3 FixPack 4.
I want to create a WebI report that should include all data newer than last run time for the publication.
How do I get last run date for a publication or WebI report?

    Hai,
Along with Java version you can also take of refreshing data properly. After modification remove everything from the report and again drag data from data tab into the report.

  • Broad casting Webi report in excel format to different users email ids

    Hello,
Seriously looking for the help, please help with the solution for below scenario.
We have a requirement to schedule broadcasting of Webi reports to users email in excel format from infoview. But our concern is how the system takes care of authorizations of users when we broadcast the report to their mail id as excel file.
For example we have one webi report for Finance and there are thousands of users for each department, cost centre etcu2026so how to broadcast the same webi report in excel to different users with only data they have authorized to see. We have committed to client that we can do this with out much massive overhead, please advise what is the easiest way to achieve this. I read something like this can be done using authorization profiles in CMS but creating those many profiles and mapping them to relevant authorizations is not possible as there are thousands of users with different authorization levels. And Client is expecting this broadcasting need to be done automatically with out every time manual intervention.
Looking forward for the prompt reply.
    Thanks,
    Gani.

Please use the Dynmanic Recipients functionality of the Publication.
For this we need to do follow steps.
    1) Create the WebI Report that needs to be published(Broadcasted)
    2) create Deski/webi report which contains the user details and email id's for publishing main report.
    3) Map the properties of souce report with Dynamic Recipient report.
Please refer the user guide for more inforamtion. This helps you in avoiding manual creation of profiles in CMC.

  • How to schedule a WebI Report for the list of users that it contains in it

I have a WebI Report in BOXIr2 which contains the list of Employees Details (Employee Name, Mail ID, Emp Code) who had missed their timesheet for the week, Please let me know Is their a way that i can send mail notification through BO report Scheduling to the list of Employees who are listed in the Report, Thanks in advance !

    Hi,
in BO XI 3.1 you can do this using a publication object. Unfortunately in XI R2 this works only for DeskI documents. You may want to consider using the BOE SDK for this. I must admit that I do not have a specific solution for you a workflow may look like this:
    1) Schedule your WebI with the user list to be exported on a network drive
    2) Build a java program that reads in the file, connects to the BOBJ repository and schedules the report using the recepient list.

  • Schedule a Webi report to multiple folders in BOXIR2 InfoView

    Hi All Expert,
I might need your kind advice on what is the alternative way to do the below in BOXIR2 InfoView.
In my InfoView, i have several sub-folders under one folder. For eg, i have one "Sales" folder which contained multiple sub-folders as "SG", "CHI", "MYS", "JPN" and etc. I have one webi report created which have a country name prompt in the report and exported to each different sub-folders which the report prompt have been selected for each country name before export to the sub-folder. Eg, "SG" sub-folder have a webi report with "Singapore" as country name in the folder. All of the sub-folder's report are using the same webi report design.
My problem now is i need to open each of the webi report in the sub-folder to everytime when i need to perform a schedule or perform changes on the report design. If i have 12 sub-folders, i need to open 12 times to perform changes one by one or schedule the report to run one by one.
Are there any other alternative way to schedule one time then BO will copy the relavant report or instance to the multiple folder?
    Appreciated your kind advice.
    Regards,
    Chee Koon

    Hi
a publication object allows you to schedule X webi reports (which reside in several subfolders in your system) at once.
If you want to first to create/overwrite copies of your report in X subfolders and then schedule them all at once then you have to go with the SDK (even in BO XI 3.x)
You can find more information about the SDK here: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/sdklibrary

  • Schedule a webi report to email issue

    Hi,
A webi report was scheduled to run and send exel file to email one time. The instance is in a status of "Running" for more than 24 hours. When checked the instance details, it said "waiting for scheduling to complete. Job ID: 15,786, name:[Report Name], kind:Webi in Pending state (FBE 60509) [0 recipients processed.]". After a day passed, the schedule failed. And in the Publication Admin Log, it said
    2011-10-17 16:55:22,173 INFO  [pool-4-thread-4] BusinessObjects_PublicationAdminLog_Instance_15786 - [Publication ID # 15786] - Running publication instance.
2011-10-17 16:55:22,251 INFO  [pool-4-thread-4] BusinessObjects_PublicationAdminLog_Instance_15786 - [Publication ID # 15786] - The global delivery rule for this publication was met; publication processing will now begin.
I don't know why it failed. Is there any option needed to be set such as timeout?
All destinations have been set and enabled. Have restarted and reenabled could not help. A webi report run interactively fine.
    We are on version:
    BusinessObjects Edge BI 3.1 SP4
    Windows Server 2008 R2
    SQL Server 2008 R2
    Thank you.

    Hi Ginelle,
Most likely this problem would be caused by:
    1. Wrongly configured email destinations on the Destination Job Server, Webi Job Server and Publication Job Server - you can check in the CMC - Servers area.
    2. The source report - check it can be refreshed ok, it could be there are objects which Business Objects does not like. Test by removing fields and rescheduling to see if you can identify which field is causing problems.
    3. Also try resaving the source report under a different name and rebuild the publication with this report. Some older reports can become "corrupt", resaving\refreshing can help.
    4. Check to see if the source report has any recurrences set, it could be there is an issue with the Job Server waiting fopr a recurrence to run.
I hope this is a very helpful answer to you.
    Kind regards,
    John

  • Single DB hit for Report Publication

We have some Crystal Reports and Webi Reports
Each Report we need to distribute to the end users in PDF/Excel Format. For Each reports the users >10000 members
Currently we are generating the reports trough publications . We have implemented role based / hierachy based secuirity in one table ( with has BOUSERID Filed ) and that table we are joining with Reporting table and created BOUSERID prompt( This wiill be in Where class of the underlying report query )
This parameter is associated with profile value ( Profile Value is BOUSERID System variable )
So basically the personification with BOUSERID  Profile value and the report hits the DB for 1000 times This is time consuming
My Planing to implement the Single DB hit and  divide the report to all the users through Publication . Dynamic distribution is not good for our requirement
Please suggest me best approach and steps to achieve
    Thanks in advance
    Yogi

Thanks for the info! I was afraid that it wasn't possible to restrict RAS to one DB connection if the report has subreports.
I tried choosing the "Connections stay open until report is finished" option when configuring RAS so that my temporary table would remain available for the subreports to use, but this didn't work.
How do I (or can I even) keep a temporary table until the end of my report with a report with subreports using RAS?
The report works fine as written in Crysatl XI and it works using RAS if the subreports runs the same query that the main report ran instead of trying to use a temp table, but it takes significantly longer to run when each subreport has to do the complex query over again.

  • Crystal Reports Publication fails when using dynamic recipients

    Hi experts,
We are facing a problem related with the BOE 3.1 Dynamic recipients Publication.
We have created a Publication with just one Crystal Report based on a MDX Query.  We send the report in PDF format to email destinations
Dynamic recipients are defined in a WebI report pulling data from a BW query universe. We can display the email, user ID, Use Name and other fields we would like to use as dynamic parameters.
Server side trust seems to be configured (is there any way to test it is properly configured?).
The Publication is working fine with enterprise recipients (which have SAP BW account), and each recipient receive its PDF by email.
When we execute same report with dynamic recipients without selecting dynamic personalization parameters it is working fine. But when we select one dynamic parameter (which is coming from the WebI report we use for dynamic recipients) eg: Profit Centre, the Publication fails and we get a Database Connector error:
    2011-02-14 08:53:25,275 ERROR [PublishingService:HandlerPool-13] BusinessObjects_PublicationAdminErrorLog_Instance_31036 - [Publication ID # 31036] - Scheduling document job "P&L" (ID: 31,051) failed: Error in File ~tmp191067bfa343ff0.rpt: Database Connector Error (FBE60502) [1 recipients processed.]
How can a dynamic parameter affect on the Database Connection?
Does anyone have an idea about what could be wrong?
    Thanks!

Ino, what do you mean for "technical name or the member unique name"? Are you talking about the SAP User name? So in the dynamic recipients we can find  these parameters:
    - Recipient Identifier (required):
    - Full Name:
    - Email:
In the Recipient Identifier I should refer to a SAP user?
Dynamic recipients option is working for same recipients. The problem appears when I assign one parameter to a field coming from the dynamic webi report. It fails with the previously detailed error. This parameter assignment seems to be causing the Database Connector error.

  • Schedule SAP Web Reports

    Dear
Am using SAP Business Objects 4.0
My scenario Is , I want to create Schedule , If the Web reports have data, i want to send it to User A,B,C But if the Web reports have no data , I want to send it to User D And E
    In other way
How can i create Schedule  to check if the reports have data , send it to Specific user , if not send it to other user
How to do that by Detail Please
    Thanks

Give it a shot with BO Publication. You can send the reports to different email dynamically based on contents. Not sure, if this works for the blank values!
    Thanks,
    Magesh Anandan.

  • Report Publication exception

    Hi,
I am using the Report Publication feature to publish WEBI and crystal reports.
    I am using BOXI 3.1.
Using publication , i am sending reports in PDF format to the recepients thru Email .
The PDF's will be attached in the Email. The publication triggers daily.
My issue is that  even though there are no data in the report for a recepient, a blank report is generated and send to the recepient as an attachment.
Is there any method to stop this?
I would prefer to send an Email to the recepients who dont have any data in report on a particular day stating "There is no report today due to no data".
Is there an way to achieve this?

  • How to connect Already created WebI reports with Xcelsius Dashboards

    HI Experts,
My requirement it to bring data from already in use WebI reports to a consolidated Dashboard. I am aware of connecting universe with Dashboard with the help of QaaWS.
Is there is any other way that we can connect our dashboard?
We are thinking to publish those dashboards on the SAP Enterprise BI Portal.
    Thanks in advance!!!
    Edited by: BIBO_Apprentice on Aug 13, 2011 7:40 AM

    Hi,
One can connect WebI reports with Xcelsius dashboards in 3 ways:
    1. Using QaaWS : connects universe with Dashboard. Dashboard uses the WSDL link to get data that works on SOAP (that works on exchanging web structures).
    2. Using Live Office Connection: With the help of Live Office one can connect the WebI reports directly. One can take advantage of the scheduled instances of the WebI reports. So it is good for time consuming reports.
    3. Using BI Web Services: Here custom web services are created of intended report instances. Publication is done from CMS side.
after that WSDL is used as any other web services.
Get back if you need any further clarification.
