WebI Report using BW Query

Hi,
I am using WebI Report using BW Query. I don't see some Formulas in Universe which is there in BEx Query.
Did anybody face the same problem before?

Hi,
I meant that you should post in the forum the calculation contained in the formula that you cannot see in your universe.
But let's start from the begining since you are new to SAP: Did you generated the universe yourself? If the formula was added in the query after the universe was created then you must refresh your universe (In the Universe designer please select the option "Refresh structure" under the "view" menu) in order to get the newly created formula (I assume we are takling about a calculate figure here) in your universe also.

compare the webi report data with Bex report. more you can compare webi report with SAP R3 system for random records.

WebI Report using BW Query (Getting Error for User Response Function)

I have created WebI Report on top of BW query. All the prompts are coming from BW query. I was trying to create user response function but it's not working. Do I need to use special function or I can't use.

Rolling month for webi report using Univ based on BEX Query

Dear Experts,
I'm new to OLAP universes.
We have a requirements of having last 12 months rolling for given measure(Key figure) in webi report using Univ based on Bex Query.
We require a calmonth (time dimension) object (restricted for last 12 months) where user can drag and drop on column section of cross-tab table. User should drag more than one Key figure ( for ex. sales rev and & qty sold) for each month
Could you please provide me the solution to do this?

Thank you for your response.
BEx query has not been created yet. we need to create accordingly and require your help in creating the same.
Regarding reporting requirements, User wants to have adhoc reporting with rolling months ( 12 months or 6 months) functionality. Users want to link any KF to this rolling months dimension.
If we can't have this, what is the alternative that we can propose to user.

Getting the MDX query select error when running a webi report on BI query

Getting the following error when running a webi report on BI query :
A database error occured. The database error text is: The MDX query SELECT { [Measures].[D8JBFK099LLUVNLO7JY49FJKU] } ON COLUMNS , NON EMPTY [ZCOMPCODE].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ON ROWS FROM [ZTEST_CUB/REP_20100723200521] failed to execute with the error Unknown error. (WIS 10901).
I have gone through many threads related to this error. But not able find the steps to follow for resoultion.
Please help in this regard.

Create a Webi report using QAAWS as a data source

Hi Experts,
I am on BO 4.1 SP 3, and using the Webi Rich Client to create a WEBi report using a QAAWS url as a data soruce.
This is the first time I am trying this, so any tips/helpful links are welcome.
I get the below error, when I try to map the fields. But I do not have any personal data files involved.

Hi Vasu,
We can create webi report with QAAWS.When creating the report on webservices /Personal data providers we'll not get prompt/query filters option .
Are you trying to change source ? Instead create new source and get data.

Error while connecting executing a webi report from Bex query.

Degrade the java version to java 7 update 45 and also degrade the java security level to low from medium. Also delete the java temporary files and also clear your IE browser cache as well.

Generating a report using ABAP query

Hi All,
I want to generate a anlytical report using ABAP query, There are 3 different transactions/steps have to be executed to get this data in an actionable form.
1. MB52 - Unrestricted Stock
2. ZCustomquery - Custom query in SAP R3
3. Combine above two in a single report.
Please suggest me how can i proceed,
1. Example i have created query name called Finalrepot
2. How can i call above zcustomquery and Transaction (MB52) in the Query.

Executing Crystal Report using BI Query as datasource in Bobj portal

I have a Crystal report using BI query as the datasource. The BI query contains User Entry variables.
The Crystal report executes as expected except when added to the Bobj portal. From the portal, I can schedule the report and it will execute as correctly. However, if I try to execute without scheduling, I am able to enter the BI restrictions, but then am presented the following error message: "An error has occurred: For input string: "" ".
If I remove all the BI variables from the query, the report will execute from the portal with out scheduling.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can set your parameters from CMC. Select the report and set parameters in to the report properties.

Issue with webi report on BEx query

Hi,
I have created a universe on top of Bex query. There is no issue in creating and exporting the universe. But when I try to create a webi report out that BEx query, I am not able to see the values. Say if I have a column called "Company" I am getting the value as "All Company" and so on. What will be the issue?
But when a report is generated out of BEx analyser they are able to see the values properly.
Same user credentials are used in both the places (Importing the query into universe, Connecting to BEx Analyser) .

Hi Subbu,
the universe will generate a L00 item and a L01 item. The L00 item shows the All member of the characteristic in the case of a flat list and the Top level nodes from a hierarchy. the L01 item should give you what you looking for.

#Multivalue Error on Webi when Using BEx Query

Hi All,
I have created a Webi Report on top of SAP BW BEx Query. I have created a variable in Webi on top of a dimension. When I add that variable in the report block some of the Measures are showing as #Multivalue. I know we can get rid of this by creating a universe and then changing the properties of the measure to sum. However we do not plan to have a universe and would want to make the changes in the BEx query or in the Webi Report whereever applicable.
Kindly suggest the solution at the earliest.

WebI Prompts using BEx Query Variables

Hello,
I have the following issues with WebI report selection input paramaters (prompts) that use BW BEx Query variables. Could anyone please assist?
Issue 1:
The WebI report has one mandatory and two optional input paramaters (all paramaters from BW BEx Query). When I execute the report via WebI rich client directly, enter the value for mandatory input parameter and leave blanks for both optional input parameters, the report ran OK and has no issue. However, when I ran it through CMC a strange thing happen: I could not select the value for mandatory input paramater as it requires to have values for both optional input paramaters first (which I wish to have them blank and optional). When I refersh values for the mandatory paramater, it says "List of Values for current prompt requires values for following prompts:...(ie. the two optional parameters).
Anyone has any idea - it seems like it is a CMC issue for the WebI...
Issue 2:
Take the same WebI report above, the issue here is the order sequence of the prompts (ie. the selection input parameters). How can we change/control the sequence of the prompts? Whatever sequence of the varaiables (input paramters) in BW BEx Query, the WebI ignores it. Please advise.

I did not see separate thread for issue #1, therefore I'll us this thread.
I am running into similar issue when I get an error message ''List of Values for current prompt requires values for following prompts: <Name of the prompt>".
We are using BO V4, SP2, Patch 10 with SAP BW as DB via BEx queries.
I opened support ticket for this issue since obviousely it's still an issue after applying patch 10.
It's not an issue when 'Rich Internet Application' option is selected to view report in 'Reading' mode (via Launchpad Preferences then Web Inteligence; defautl value for viewing is 'Web').
I have not tried to use Client tools but even if it works with Client tools - it is not a solution for us. Our company does not plan to install client tools on end user computers.
Bigger issue us is that report scheduling invokes Web version (not Rich Internet Application). Therefore we cannot schedule report that is giving us problem described. I tried scheduling report from Launchpad and from CMC and both game me error highlighted.
