Webi - Result from subquery / add subquery not highlighted

Hi,
we have just now bought BO XI 3.1 SP3 and installed on SAP BW. .Due to the initial phase, we are currently using temporary 1 month license key from SAP until installation is done in Prod. When we build WebI query, In filter pane of webi query, when we drag filter field, i can see that option 'Result from subquery' and icon 'add subquery ' is not highlighted. I read in some forums that this feature is not available in OLAP universes.
Is is because we are using temporary license key? OR it is still not available in OLAP universes?

Filter by "Result from another query" option not available in Webi

Hi all
I am trying to filter one query by zipcode based on the results of a previously run query in the same report. However this option is not available on the drop down when I drag zipcode into the filter pane. I am restricted to the options: Constant, Value(s) from a list, Prompt or Object.
I have "use subqueries enabled" within my universe and the data is held in an RMDBS (i.e. it is not an OLAP universe) so I expected this functionallity to be available.
I am using XI 3.2 and Java version 1.6.0.15, i.e. up to date.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is one method to achieve your objective, however, it involves the use of Merge Dimensions. Here goes:
In the Edit Query mode, build two queries, where the first query has all the objects, to include Zip code, and the second query has the zip code, filtered for the one at hand. (you probably have done this portion already)
In the Edit Report mode, think of your data set as Query1 (all the data objects you want) and Query2 (zip code and filtered on that zip code) and thus you'll have Query1.zip and Query2.zip. If you build a grid containing all the data you want from Query1, then simply add Query2.zip to that grid, voila, the grid will be "filtered" due to the "merge" that occurs under the wire. The 'problem' here is that you have two columns that are repetitive and there is no inherent way to "hide" a column in WebI other than masking the column with white on white (font/borders) or some folks sometimes apply Alterters to achieve the same.

Grab Pro's Add On and HP Web Page Printing's Add On not working same time

I installed HP Web Page Printing 4.51 for IE 8. Than i coludn't open my web browser. When i was deactive Grab Pro's add on(install with Orbit Downloader) or HP WebPage Printing's add on, i could. Return results from custom dialog box not visibly updating field value

I have a form with custom dialog boxes (execDialog) for data entry. The dialog box is being called from the Entry event successfully. I also have it called from the Click event. So, here's what I get:
1. On entering the field, I get the dialog box pop up, I select a value, it visibly changes the field raw value and leaves focus in the field.
2. If I exit the field and re-enter, it also works as in point 1 (as expected)
3. If, while focus is already in the field, I click in the field, I get the dialog box, as expected, but after selecting a value from the dialog, the field raw value DOES NOT VISIBLY change until I exit the field! It's kind of like the click event is working in conjunction with the Exit event. This is totally counter-intuitive for a production form that is being designed for the general populace.
Anyone had any experience with this?

it's in edit mode. It's only displaying the value interactively entered by
the user, or as a consequence of the change event. What you need to do is
force the focus off of the text box in code. You can do a little trick
where you bounce it to a tiny transparent field, which then bounds the focus
back so it doesn't look like the focus changed."
What I ended up doing was calling up the dialog box, then using setfocus with no parameters to remove focus from the field, as follows:
this.rawValue = this.dialogBoxFunction(this.rawValue); // passing current value so dialog box defaults to that value
xfa.host.setFocus();

But, on win XP firefox 9.0.1. many web pages only last html source
code are visible in the webpage. Mozilla support only avaible inside in the WM-box on old firefox!!!
To hard to remove plugins, fix it!!
Disable of all plugins, more wegpages work, but not all!!

Slices in Save for Web not highlighting when selected in Photoshop CS5.5

Lately I've just noticed when I select slices in Save for Web the newly selected areas do not highlight in their normal yellow colour. They are however selected and save correctly if I do save them. If I toggle slice visibility off and back on again they selected slices become highlighted but it's kind of a pain. Have I done something to cause this or is this a known issue with one of the updates?

Problem in Flex to get XML result from web services

Hi all
I am struggling a proplem for a whole day, i hope somebody can help.
I am trying to get the list file of files located on the server, so i use flex to access a ASP.NET ASMX web services, that returns all the file names in a folder.
I can see that web servicese worked perfectly, however when i try to get the result from flex, i could not figure out how to get the real data i wantted

Alternative for result from other query and merge dimension option option

Am Developing one webi report over bex Query.
Actual scenario is output of one webi report should be the input of other webi report.
Eg:
Table 1
2010        Cus 1
2010        Cus 2
2011        Cus 3
table 2
cus1    m1   100
cus2    m2   200
Cus3    m1 400
Report 1 designing
First report created using table 1 and prompt for year
Report 2 designing
Second report created using table2 and prompt for customer
So when am Running first report it will ask for parameter year and if am selecting 2010 then the report will return C1 and C2
this out put should e the input for report 2.
So out put will be 100+200=300
NOTE:1. Result from other query is not working in webi filter pane since am building on olap universe.
           2. Merge Dimension performance is very slow .

As you said , If am giving hyperlink to other report .
Eg: User selected Tamilnadu then report 1 opened then he has to click the some cell or hyperlink cell to view the actual report(2nd report).
Suppose user Clicked that hyperlink cell and 2nd report opened and he is viewing the data for Tamil nadu and he decided to see the report for
Andrapradesh so according to this logic he has to select first report and refresh the data for Andra and from there he has to come to 2nd report.
totally 4 screen will be opened for seeing the two states report.
So Some other alternative.......

Record Results from sequence call inside of SequenceFilePostStepFailure Callback

Test Stand 3.1
When a step fails I use SequenceFilePostStepFailure Callback.
In there I have prompt:
1. Continue
2. Terminate
3. Terminate (thus calling a power down sequence file)
Problem is that when Option 3 is used. There are no results recorded from that sequence call because it was invoked from the Callback.
How do I force record results when that sequence file is called?

Hello Jaws8you,
After looking into this issue further, it appears as if the link I posted has some great information but is not an exact fit for your particular situation.
Because results from sequence callbacks will not populate in the report, we need to make sure and have any results we would like included in the main sequence.
In your case we are just going to put the sequence call in the "Clean Up" tab, which will report the data, and is good programming practice.
So to fix this problem, let's go ahead and try this:
1.) Change the variable "Locals.ButtonPressed" to FileGlobals.ButtonPressed in the locations that you have it so far
2.) "Cut" the "Call Main Power Down" sequence call from the "SequenceFilePostStepFailure" step, and copy it to the "CleanUp Tab" of "Main Sequence"
Basically, that should be it. What this will do now is run the "Call Main Power Down" sequence when button 3 is pressed and skip this step whenever button 1 or 2 is pressed. The result is then published in the report.
This should work out the best for you, thanks for posting and have an awesome day!

You can start an instant web conference. If by "setup" you mean "schedule", you cannot do that from the Messenger.

When printing from web pagess, right margin cuts off print, cant seem to reconfigure. Frames select on print choices does not highlight for printing options. What will help?

Using a Dell Dimension E310 with Windows XP and Dell photo 924 Print/Scan/Copier. When printing from web pages on the browser the right portion of the print is cut off. It appears that the "folders" frame on the left side of the page is always printing with the page, which cuts off the print on the right side of the main page frame by the width of the "folders" frame. When I select the print command, the choice for selecting a particular frame to print is on the drop down menu, but is not highlighted for use. We have had this problem with Firefox for some time. Printing from IE or Word, etc. does not produce the same problem. We like Firefox otherwise. What is the fix?

You're right: most web pages do not use frames, so that option usually is not available.
I don't know why a page that printed just the main content before would change to printing with useless sidebars. Can you try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode and see whether it prints/previews correctly there?
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
Does that fix it? If so, the difference usually is caused by one of your add-ons. You can restart the regular way and disable all non-essential add-ons here:

Conversation Vertical not pulling any results from My Sites

My conversation vertical is not pulling any results from My Sites newsfeed posts
('Nothing here matches your search'). It is however pulling discussion list items from team sites. Additionally people vertical works as it should (I can search people and user profile metadata and get the proper results).
I have:
-UPS with search service account as
an administrator with "retrieve people data for search crawlers"
-Content source with sps3://ourportalurl
-Crawl rule specifying My Sites URL
-out of the box Conversation result source

I a, trying to create a drill down report - I am getting below error when I drill down from summary report to detail -
A subquery filter may not reference the current report (or contain a circular reference to any report).
Error Details
Error Codes: S6C66RYK:WIF3IYGO
Recursion limit exceeded in Xml Expression Visitor
The issue is I have a budget report which will drill down to display amount by each period -
Jan-10 Feb-10 Mar-10
1223 123 10
Now I am trying to display detail GL transactions by clicking the amount field.
This means summary report should pass period along with amount to display detail GL transactions.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Explain exactly how you create your 2 reports.
The second one must have "is prompted" filters if you want it to use the values of the first one.
