[webi] Save to personal folder error

I'm experiencing the following error messages when trying to save Webi documents to a personal folder:
You do not have the rights to save in this folder or to edit categories. If you require these rights, see your Business Objects administrator.
Could not save the document to the repository for the following reason: [repo_proxy 30] DocumentFacade::exportDocument - (Helpers::InfoStore::ObjectFile::upd ateObject) You do not have right 'Edit objects' on object 10157.(hr=#0x80042a87) (WIS 30567)
Several months ago, we upgraded from R2 to R3.1, complete with migration (clean install on a new machine). This problem just started happening within the last week or so.
When I've tested in trying to replicate the error, I find that if the report does not already exist in the location in which I'm saving it, I get the first message, but the report is still saved, despite the system's message that I lack the right to save.
If the report does already exist in the location to which I'm saving, then I see the 2nd error message.
Our server is Windows Server Enterprise SP 2 with 12Gb RAM.

I'm not sure what the rights settings on Inboxes has to do with error messages related to copying objects from a folder to a personal folder. But here are the current rights settings for the 'Everyone' group for Inboxes:
Add Objects to the Folder     --> Not specified
View Objects               --> Not specified
Edit Objects               --> Not specified
Copy Objects to Another Folder     --> Not specified
[edit] : Explicitly changing the above settings to 'Granted' for a test user didn't prevent the error from occurring for that user.

CS 5.5 Save To Web Default To Same Folder As Original?

This has driven me NUTS since CS3... I'm hoping there is a solution I just never figured out.
When I open a PSD and then click Save To Web it always saves to the last folder I had Saved To Web... NOT the folder of the PSD I just opened. So about 50% of the time I save to the -wrong- folder.
Is there not a setting that tells PS to 'By Default Save To Same Folder As PSD'?

you need to create several rules, one for every customer. In this rule choose machting criteria and then on the bottom select "Move/Copy E-Mail to" and right next to it the desired mailbox.

Save PDF to folder as JPEG Error

This is happening in Aperture, and other programs too.
When I try to use "Save PDF to folder as JPEG", the export begins, but when it comes to the pop up box that copies the files onto the desktop an error message indicates there has been a problem with ""the action "retrieve disk element references" encountered an error."
The script "Save PDF to folder as TIFF" works great... but that isn't suitable for albums.
Any thoughts??? I found others that had the problem, but no solutions...

I am also having this issue but with TIFF's.

Error while promote Personal Folder reports

Dear Experts,
I have tried to promote my personal folder reports to QA system from DEV, got error as "Must create object under it's defined root folder"
The details:
Its SAP account, BI4.1 SP02 Patch2, So why I'm unable to promote personal folder reports to another environment?
Please advice that any setting to be apply or need to select any dependents.

Hi,
I think it is not possible to promote personal folders in BI 4.0 SP02. This feature is added in BI 4.0 SP05 onwards. Please refer below KBA.

since the last pacman update, whenever i try to open my home folder via Locals->Personal Folder the system gives this error:
does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Under "apps" when I try to "save to" a folder in "file sharing" I get the "cannot find required file error".

I'm trying to save a document folder to my desktop from the file sharing.

No help to you I'm afraid, but I'm having exactly the same problem.

Updating security on personal folder

I am getting an error when trying to update the security on a personal folder using the Web Services SDK. In my code I query for the personal folder specifying that the security info be returned. If the SecurityInfo2 object has any roles in it I remove them. I then add my new role to the SecurityInfo2 object. Finally I commit the change. When the changes is commited I receive the following error (again, I am using the Web Services SDK): org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: An XSD Exception occurred. Import file parsing exception occurred : 'Attempting to update an object of type 'FavoritesFolder', which was marked as preventUpdate, and the IMPORT_PREVENT_UPDATE option was specified.' (FWM 04009) (WBP 42029). Any thoughts/suggestions on what is causing this is appreciated. Thanks.

This is most likely a bug in Web Services. As a work around you can use Enterprise SDK to chage the rights or do it in CMC.

Scanning with Preview - "cannot write to folder" error

I was scanning some photos yesterday using my epson 3170 scanner into Preview.
These scanned & saved OK.
then I installed a couple of Apple updates - one was the latest OS X security update and a java update.
I then scanned something else and now I get a "cannot write to folder" error message preventing me from saving the scanned image (to the same folder I was saving the others to earlier). I can save files to the same folder using other apps so there is nothing wrong with the drive or folder permissions.
I scanned the image otthe desktop and moved the file to the folder I wanted.
If I use ImageCapture it works OK as well.
Any ideas why Preview won't let me save the images?

Check the protections. A command such as ls -ale@ or ls -aled@ would be typical for checking that. I'd guess the files aren't writeable by the web server. This'll probably be a chown and possibly a chmod command to bring the settings on the errant log(s) into agreement with the other settings on the other Apache web server logs that are being written.
FWIW, I'd use zdump or cat and pipe the log contents elsewhere if I wanted to write to them. But if you're resetting the logs, there's a rollover script around (the one that runs automatically on OS X, and I'm unfortunately drawing a blank on the name; it moved from the /etc/periodic stuff over to launchd a while back), or write your own short script that rolls the files and leaves the appropriate owner and permissions settings.

Save pdf to folder in JPEG / save aperture book to JPEG

Hello guys,
basically I want to save my created photo book in Aperture in the best possible quality.
I have read the FAQ on apertureexpert.com about "save pdf to folder in JPEG" and have also downloaded the script that was posted their but it did not work as expected.

The problem is that I can't really change any settings about the script (like change dpi to 300 like in the video below). Opening it in Automator does not bring the hoped features.

I might want to export the photos in TIFF too one day!
I am desperately trying to export my photo book in the best possible quality! I have spend the whole day trying to solve this problem without finding anything on google!
Would there be any possibilities to just download the complete "Save pdf to folder in TIFF" and "Save pdf to folder in JPEG" script somewhere? That would would be the optimal solution, a download link or simply an upload from someone how as the scripts that originally ware pre-installed on a mac. You can check if you have these under "Macintosh HD/Library/Pdf Services".

It actually goes thru the motions and appears to be working, but ultimately the pages are not actually created or saved anywhere. I have tried over and over, numerous things, but in the end there are no actual pages created... its weird. I specify exactly where to save the pages, and when its done, there is nothing there....
Also, when I run the Play button on the "Save PDF to folder as JPEG" in automator, it encounters an error at the "Move Finder Items", the step where it would actually place or save the JPEGs to that location.... I can not seem to figure out what went wrong, as it did work before and I don't know what I could have done to cause an error...

While executing onLoad in Date_before Save.htm, a JavaScript error occurred, I have looked af the Forum and it tells me to delete Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver CS3\Configuration\Commands and I cannot find these files despite searching.
I had a text conversation with support at Adobe and they no longe support Dreamweaver CS3! Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so how was it fixed.

Save PDF to folder as JPEG - NOT WORKING!

Please help me, after many failed attempts to save my aperture book design as PDF to folder as JPEG, I decided to try to save PDF to folder as TIFF. Unbelievably it worked without error. This proved to me that I am doing everything right, there must be a problem with the save as JPEG option. I am trying to save this way so that I can take my design to a different album vendor other than apple. The closest I came to having the JPEG option work was it saved only a small handful of the page files, not all of them. ANY advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

I just tried the Save PDF to folder as JPEG and everything worked correctly. This workflow is actually an Apple Automator action, so you could go to Root/Library/PDF Services and open the workflow in Automator and look to see if somehow the action is messed up.
Maybe worth the try.

Aperture 3 save PDF to folder as JPEG option missing from PDF services?

I have Aperture 3 downloaded from the App store in a MAC OSX 10.6.7 but the save PDF to folder as jPEG option is missing from the print menu? I do not have discs to re-install Aperture so can I add a workflow directly to the PDF services library and if so where can I get a copy of this workflow?

Save PDF to iPhoto

Edit Menu
There is no option to Save PDF to folder as JPEG and I cannot add this function from the Edit menu? Previous discussions suggest re-installing Aperture 3 but I downloaded this from the App store so do not have discs to reinstall?

Save pdf to folder as JPG fails

I have completed the update process so I am running Yosemite and Aperture 3.6
When I try to use the automator work flow that was installed with Aperture (Save pdf to folde as JPG) , I get an error message that "Retrieve Disk Item References encountered an error"
The workflow will work from another user account and the similar workflow for saving PDF to folder as TIFF works just fine. I have tried reinstalling the workflow from a backup but it still fails. Any idea how to get this working back to normal?

I got it fixed with 2 rounds of cache cleaning and pref file removal. My computer thinks it is 4 in the afternoon and all the menus are in Swedish, but its all good!
