WebLogic 10.0 supports Java 6?

Does anyone know if WebLogic server 10.0 supports Java 6? I am currently running Java 1.5 and I would like to run my application with Java 1.6.
If not, what version of WebLogic I should upgrade so that I can run with Java 6?
Thanks.

Hi,
Weblogic 10 will not support JDK6.
Please upgrade to Weblogic 10.3 to work with JDK 6.
Regards,
Kal.

    Friends,
I am getting below message, when i am running PSMPPIAInstall to build the PIA.
could not find hava virtual machine to load.
You may need to reinstall supported java virtual machine to load.
I have downloaded and install jrockit present in PT 8.52 at the location d:\bea\jrocket*
    I can see java -version
    D:\psoft\PT8.52>java -version
    java version "1.6.0_20"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_20-b02)
    Oracle JRockit(R) (build R28.1.0-123-138454-1.6.0_20-20101014-1351-windows-x86_6
    4, compiled mode)
    weblogic is installed correctly.
    kindly guide.

    Datacenter, hmm ...
I have always installed it on Enterprise or Standard edition without any issues with the software delivered from eDelivery.
But why use Datacenter, this is more to be used for virtualisations?

Can anybody give me a clear answer (or a reference to it) of what versions Java that WLS7 does support?
We're interested in upgrading Java on our servers to version 1.4.1_06 - does WLS7 support this?
And what is the latest version of Java that WLS7 does support?

  • WebLogic Test Client,  throws java.lang.NoSuchMethodException

In weblogic server 10.3, the  WebLogic Test Client,  throws java.lang.NoSuchMethodException for “any” soap fault message from the web  service.
    In Detail:
Our web services uses JAX-WS spec and are deployed in WebLogic server 10.3.The web service ear file is generated using standard ant utility. We are using “WebLogic Test Client” available through WebLogic server administration console .The issue is, for “any” soap fault message from the web service, the test client generates “java.lang.NoSuchMethodException:” . The key point is we are creating this class. We are not using our own client. WebLogic Test Client 's service response section has the following stack trace.

Thanks for your assistance. Here is the log from weblogic. You may find "xxx" and "yyy" terms. these are given to our specific project oriented names. If you need any further info please let me know. Again a brief about the issue. when the service returns a fault soap message, the server trying to set the error code in a class generated by it's own where the method is not avilable. this happens for all fault soap message. In case of right response from the service no issues. all are working fine.
Note: Max 3000 characters are allowed to post. so truncating initial stack trace.

  • PL/SQL support Java and VB

We are exploring the possibility of one Oracle DB supporting
both Application written in VB and Java. Do I have to write two
sets of PL/SQL stored procedures/packages so that one will work
with VB codes through OraOLEDB and the other set will support
    Java through JDBC?
I appreciate any of your inputs.
    Lisa

I think one version of the PL/SQL stored procedure will serve
both VB and Java programs. With Java JDBC, you can also load a
Java stored procedure into the database and then publish it so
that it can be called from another PL/SQL function, of couse in
this case, the Java stored procedure will have a version
different from that used by VB. Hope that this helps.
    Good Luck!
    Ming Xu.

  • I am going to buy a new macbook pro..but i am new to mac..so i have one question...does mac os supports "java, mainframe, dot net...and etc developer programs..."....??? thanx in advance....:)

oh thanx for the reply....actually i was worked in information technology sector company...i worked on java and mainframe platform....so if i buy an apple macbook pro and if it doesn't supports those developer programs i need to buy an pc......so i need to be confirmed....if u know abt this please explain me detailed...thanx again...:)
    Are you being serious?
If you've done any programming in Java then I'd really have hoped you already realised it is a platform independent programming language, that was Sun's original intention when they created it ,  to be able to run compiled code on any Java Virtual Machine regardless of the platform:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_%28programming_language%29
And as for "dot net" - do you not realise that this is purely a MS Windows development framework?!!
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.NET_Framework
Just to be clear, (and I realise I'm being picky here, given that English isn't likely to be your first language), they are not "developer programs", they are programming languages or frameworks.
And for further clarification, the Mac operating system does support Java development, and does not support .Net (unless you install Windows on it!)
I can't comment on the 'mainframe' bit you're referring to without more detail.

  • NOKIA lumia windows 8 phones not supporting JAVA

Hi Nokia lumia latest windows 8 phones not supporting java. I Think its a big draw back because we cant install any java apps like Mobile banking Apps. Java apps market increasing day by day. Why nokia avoid this feature. is there any solution for this problem.

no solution unfortunately, however you may be able to try your luck with the WebApps app from the Store, and then search for your particular mobile banking website within that app.
and no, it is not Nokia that is not implementing support for Java, it is part of the Microsoft Windows Phone 8 operating system. if you wish to leave feedback with them, you can do so over at http://windowsphone.uservoice.com

  • Migration to Weblogic 10.3.5 + Java 1.6:  xml errors

    Hi all,
    I describe my scenario:
I have a web application that works correctly on weblogic 8.1 + jdk 1.4.
Now i'm trying to migrate this web app on RHEL5 + weblogic 10.3.5 + Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_25-b06).
Deploying stage gives me no errors (exploded folder), and application starting too.
But when i go into a section of the application that handles xml files, there are several errors like these, and i can't go on:

    Hello,
I have not seen this particular error before, but if you can re-build the EJB using Workshop 10.0 I bet it will fix your problem. The old Workshop is running an old version of appc which the 10.0 version of WLS is probably not expecting.

  • Firefox will not run a WebEx Meeting even though Java Script is Enabled! I am on 4.0, is this a beta version of FireFox? Are you going to Support Java anytime soon?

I am getting the following error after going in and setting up a WebEx meeting. I will not be able to use FireFox unless you get the ability to enable Java:
    "Java Not Enabled
Meeting Center cannot be installed because Java is disabled in your Web browser. Please enable Java in your browser, and then click Set Up again. For instructions on enabling Java, refer to your browser's online help.
If Java cannot be enabled for any reason, you can download the manual installer and install it from your desktop by double-clicking the installer icon."
I enabled Java, added WebEx to all secure sites and performed every possible check known to man. This is on your end FireFox.
Do you have an ETA when 4.0 will support Java?

I will not pretend to know any answers to your problems, but I do wonder if you realise Firefox did decide to produce and support an Extended Stability Release, unfortunately this is NOT going to be based on Firefox 3.6. but on Firefox 10.

I have used Version 4 and 5 and unfortunately neither supports Java functions that I require. I like the look and feel of 3.6.23 but there seems to be a script error on startup of Mozilla. When I double click the Icon to open the program I get "'''Exc in ev handl: TypeError: this.oRoot.enable is not a function'''" and so far haven't been able to locate the code line to fix it. I would rather not reverse Engineer the program.

    Hi Alejandro,
Currently, the version of SAP NetWeaver that is J2SE 5.0 as well as Java EE 5 compatible is the [SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment (NW CE)|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-ce]. It does not provide the "full" Portal capabilities, however it does come with a "Portal Lite" and supports Portal applications development scenarios.
