Weblogic 6.1  starting very slow

Hello,
I recently migrated my application from weblogic 6.0 to 6.1. In doing
so, I am now having trouble starting webogic. It takes 5-7 minutes to start
up the application server. I noticed that weblogic in the process of
starting the server copies my application to the wlnotdelete folder, placing
it in weblogics own generated folder (wlap40372). The times stamps always
coorespond with when I am restarting the server. I don't know if this is an
issue or some caching. If it is some sort of caching, does anyone have any
ideas to turn it off.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Rafid Wahab

Hi,
we had opened a case regarding this issue. The information given was that it
will be probably fixed in WLS 7, but not in 6.1SPx.
Using no Enterprise Application the application is one time less.

Check your system Login/startup items in OS X System Preferences under the Accounts icon- Login items tab.
If you have more than 6 items trying to launch at startup, you need want to remove these apps from the automatic launch/startup list
    Add or remove automatic items
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.
Select your user account, then click Login Items.
    Do one of the following:
Click Add below the list on the right, select an app, document, folder, or disk, then click Add.
If you don’t want an item’s windows to be visible after login, select Hide. (Hide does not apply to servers, which always appear in the Finder after login.)
Select the name of the item you want to prevent from opening automatically, then click Delete below the list on the right.

  • Pulseaudio starting very slow

For some reason, pulseaudio is starting very slow on my system, even when it was a fresh install.
I was seeing very bad startup performance with several programs: firefox, hotot, etc.  I did an strace on them and found they were stuck on waiting for a PID associated with pulse for about a half minute.  When I turned off autospawn in the pulse config file, these programs loaded instantly, even if I put
    pulseaudio --start
    in my i3 config.
I'm not familiar enough to know how to debug this.  Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do to get more information?
My sound devices are the integrated audio from my motherboard (Intel), my Nvidia graphics card, and my webcam (HD Dualpix).

    Hi..
Not enough free space on the disk can slow the system down.
Click your Apple menu  top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.
Try removing login items. Open System Preferences > Users & Groups then select the Login Items tab. Remove all items.
And go to HD > Library > StartupItems. Remove all items from the StrartupItems folder.
    Check the startup disk.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click:  Verify Disk  (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If the disk needs repairing, restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you can access the built in utilities in OS X Recovery to repair the startup disk.
Be aware, OS X Recovery requires a high speed broadband connection.
And backup all your important files before repairing or restoring OS X just in case.

my macbook starting very slow i want to factory reset

    Hello sallay Amir,
Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you would like to erase your MacBook Pro and install a new copy of OS X, but the Mac does not boot to OS X Recovery when you hold the Command + R keys during startup.
If your Mac came with OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) or earlier, I recommend referring to the steps in this article:
Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard: How to Erase and Install - Apple Support
For a newer Mac (OS X Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite), try reinstalling OS X by using Internet Recovery, as described in the "OS X Internet Recovery" section on this page:
OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support
    All the best,
    Jeremy

  • What is causing Google Chrome to start very slow?

So Google Chrome crashed for 2 times and now its starting extremely slow. I check console and these are the errors:

What is the problem? These messages appear everytime when Google Chrome started to start up slowly. And this is only happening for one user account on my Macbook Pro (10.7.4).

  • Weblogic 11g on Windows - very slow admin server start

    Hello,
It takes upwards of 15 minutes to fully start the admin server on my Windows box. I have read that it's a bug in the Java security random number/crypto api.
There are various work arounds for the Linux environments, but no mention of Windows. I realize that I'm in a small minority of admins running WLS on Windows, but does anybody have experience in setting the Java security stuff so the servers do not take soooooo darn long to startup?
    JDM

    Hi ,
I think it would be better to post this question in the Weblogic - General forum for WLS specific troubleshooting tip : WebLogic Server - General
Having said that get the thread dump for WLS server start up using kill -3 <pid> command or using jstack -l <pid> .
Post the question and the thread dumps to the above mentioned forum .
In my case the start up time is less than a minute .
    Thanks

  • APEX application starts very slow

    Hi all,
I have developed a small apex application for my website. I am running this application on OracleXE. Every time I when I log in the response is extremily slow. It will take approx. 1 min before the login page appears, then it takes another 20 sec. before the homepage appears. After that you can notice that the application is getting faster and faster. If I stop working with the application and I start working again after 1 hour the same thing happens.
I log in localy, not thru my website, but I can imagine that people that approach the application thru the website will experience the same.
What is causing this ? Is the database going into some sort of 'sleeping mode' ?
How can I prevent this ? The database is (ofcourse) running 24/7. Any help will be appreciated, because people will stay away when everytime the responsetime is as long as 1 min before they can login.

This seems to be a issue specific to Oracle XE

    Hi Good day.
I have a MacBook Pro 17" 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor running OSX Lion now totally cannot on it, when i press the on buttom can feel the fan is running but no display what happen to my 17" MacBook Pro and what can i do to fix it?
My 2nd MacBook Pro 13" 2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo now running OSX Mountain Lion the problem of this MacBook Pro start slow and slower what can i do to fix it back to normal?

I just purchased a MacBook Pro.
If you are still within your 15 day return period.  Call Apple they will sent out iDVD at no charge.  (There are no realistic substitutes.)
Nicely explain that you may return the computer without iDVD. That usually does the trick.  You MUST speak to a senior advisor to get a free copy. The first tier people cannot do it.

    800-692-7753
If that doesn't work you can purchase iLife 11  (includes iDVD) on disk.
IDVD is a wonderful piece of software and well worth the low cost of $40.

  • SQL Developer starting very slow

Im using SQL Developer 1.5.4 on Windows XP pro service pack 3
It had been working fine for a long time. Then suddenly starting take a very long time to start.
It is taking about 1 minute to load the splash screen, then about 1 more minute for the progress bar to display and start, then a while to actually show the window. All together its taking 2 to 4 minutes to load.
Could this be something with reading TNSNames? I find it strange that it is taking so long to show the splash screen. This is also happening on other computers in my office. They all started doing this at the same time.
And ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    thanks in advance!

Have your systems recently had new Microsoft applications, updates, or patches installed? That happened here last weekend and one of the new items caused a noticeable slowdown (things were taking about twice as long). Once I totally disabled the offending item (Microsoft Desktop Search) and re-booted, things were back to normal.

  • DreamWeaver CS6 starts very slow on MacBook (Lion)

I am relatively new to the Mac, so I my need a little hand holding on this.
I signed up for two licenses of the Creative Cloud, one for home and one for work.
The one for work is on a late 2011 version of the MacBook Pro with Lion (10.7.5) running, 2.5Ghz i7, 8GB ram, and 7200 rpm drive.
I downloaded several packages: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Lightroom, Acrobat, etc.
When I launch PS, AI, or LR, they all pop up just fine, and run without issue (as far as I know).
When I launch DW, it just seems to hang for about 2.5 to 3 minutes before the screen actually pops up, and then it is not really usable as it doesn't seem to respond very well.
When I launch it on my PC at home, it flies. It is a AMD 6 core 3Ghz box with 8GB ram, and a 7200 SATA.
Other than operating system, the hardware is at least in the same ballpark.
I do not know how to troubleshoot this on the Mac. I am willing to try.
    Any help would be appreciated!

Try opening 'Activity Monitor' and watching the Dreamweave process to see what it does as far as CPU or memory consumption.
Also, is there anything running at the same time? It shouldn't been an issue, but try only opening Dreamweaver to see if you get the same results.
For comparison, I have a 2008 MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.2 with 4GB of RAM, 7200rpm HDD, and a 2.5 Core 2 Duo and I'm running Dreamweaver as well as many other application (including Photoshop) and have no issues. I did not exhibit any issues on OS X 10.7 either.
