Weblogic 6  -  apache  on NT

will there be a module for apache and weblogic 6 on NT?

Hello,
Please have a look on the following URL which is for Apache platform
support for WebLogic Server 6.1, 6.0 :
http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/platforms/index.html#apach
Hope this helps,

  • Using Resin and Weblogic with Apache

    Hi,
Does anybody know if i can use Weblogic to serve JSP and Resin to
    serve some servlets within Apache?
    Let me explain the case:
We are testing to setup Weblogic with Apache as the webserver.
Weblogic will be used to serve the JSP pages so i configured the
    httpd.conf as follows:
    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
    MatchExpression *.jsp
    WebLogicHost localhost
    WebLogicPort [port]
    </IfModule>
This works fine and i can serve the jsp-pages without any problems.
Since we work with thirdparty software we need to use Resin too. This
is not much trouble to implement in Apache and i can make sure that
some servlets are handled by caucho instead of Weblogic:
    <Location /servlet/Inventory>
    SetHandler caucho-request
    </Location>
The above request works fine too!
However i have to load the resin.conf file for full use of Resin in
Apache. This setting however implicates that JSP pages aren't served
by Weblogic anymore but are sent to Resin also. Even with the
MatchExpression setting in httpd.conf, Apache still thinks JSP needs
to be sent to Resin instead of Weblogic.
Is there some way i can make sure that the JSP pages are served by
    Weblogic and not by Resin???
    Thanx in advance

    Hi all,
Well, i figured it all out and if anyone would like to give it a try
    to, just do the following.
The mod_caucho.so file was compiled with the option to handle .jsp
files. I hashed out the following line in
    /src/c/plugin/common/config.c:
    cse_add_locatio ..... jsp etc.
And then i configure the mod_caucho.so with:
    ./configure --with-apxs=/apps/apache/bin/apxs
Now i have a perfect mod_caucho.so file which does not handle .jsp.
All calls with .jsp are processed by weblogic, just as i wanted!
Have fun with it (i shall :-)

  • Weblogic Http Apache Plugin not working

    Hi,
I have installed weblogic server 10.3 on WindowsXP Professional and Http Apache 2.2 is running on port 80. I followed the following document to configure the Apache plugin:
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs103/plugins/apache.html
but when I go and test the plugin it always comes back with 404 page not found. As per the documentation I am testing it as
    http://localhost:80/weblogic/
    Here is my httpd.conf
    Include "C:/bea/alui/plumtreeconf/"
    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file.  It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2> for detailed information.
    # In particular, see
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
    # for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do.  They're here only as hints or reminders.  If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path.  If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/logs/foo.log".
    # NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
    # instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
    # If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which httpd.exe is located
    # will be used by default.  It is recommended that you always supply
    # an explicit drive letter in absolute paths to avoid confusion.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path.  If you point
    # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive
    # at a local disk.  If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple
    # httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.
    ServerRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2"

  • WebLogic and Apache

    Hi,
We are developing an application using WebLogic ejb and servlet and we
are planning to use Apache as the HTTP server. Are there any know
              issues about this combination?
According to the manual, the mod_proxy of Apache can be used to link
Apache and Weblogic. Has anybody done that?
              Thanks,
              Cecil Pang

This doesn't sound like a definitive answer. Are you saying we will NOT
support you if you use Apache?
Should it work? What are people doing wrong? The answer below isn't
              much help IMHO.

  • Integarte Weblogic with Apache on Windows

    Hi guys,
Did any one integrate Weblogic server with Apache?
I tried but portal home page takes a lot of time to load.
    I don't know why?
If any one tried this can you let me the know the steps or URL from where I can get info?
    Thanks!

  • Starting up Weblogic with Apache.

We are currently migrating our site from NetDynamics to Weblogic Server.
In our current implementation we have three virtual host set up in Apache
    Web server
and now these needs to talk to Weblogic for processing JSP/Servet request.
Now my question is I still want to use the same three virtual host to talk
to the default server setup in Weblogic.
All three virtual host points to different directories. How do I setup
Weblogic so that the same server can process
request from the three virtua hosts.
    Thanks,
    Rakesh

I know that there was a problem in which the Apache plug-in did not work
with virtual hosting on the Apache server. A fix was released for this.
You may want to first upgrade to the latest service pack. If that does not
work, you may want to contact technical support.
    Thanks,

  • Configuring Apache HTTP Server with Oracle Weblogic Server plugin

    Hello friends,
I have a scenario of OIM 9.1.0.2 on Oracle Application Server 11g and Weblogic Server Apache HTTP Server.
Oracle WebLogic Server is configured in cluster (node1 and node2), also use the Oracle Weblogic Server plugin for integration with Apache.
One of the tests is to lose one of the nodes for the apache plugin redirects the node that has less overhead.
When the mode is node1 and node2 stop start mode and try to access the management console of Oracle Identity Manager, the plugin sometimes redirects to the other active node, and on another occasion shows the oracle management console identity manager without the colors of the basic look and feel.
Deputy of the Apache HTTP Server log, do you expect your comments to solve this case?

"One of the tests is to lose one of the nodes for the apache plugin redirects the node that has less overhead."
Note that the plug-in does a round robin load balancing, for example, in the case of three server (1,2,3) it does 1-2-3-1-2-3-1...
with server 3 going down it does 1-2-1-2-1...
An example configuration (with SSL off) looks as follows:
    LoadModule weblogic_module   "/home/oracle/weblogic12.1.1/apache/modules/mod_wl.so"
    <IfModule weblogic_module>
         ConnectTimeoutSecs 10
         ConnectRetrySecs 2
         DebugConfigInfo ON
         WLSocketTimeoutSecs 2
         WLIOTimeoutSecs 300
         Idempotent ON
         FileCaching ON
         KeepAliveSecs 20
         KeepAliveEnabled ON
         DynamicServerList ON
         WLProxySSL OFF
    </IfModule>
    <Location /LoadTest6>
         SetHandler weblogic-handler
         WebLogicCluster 172.31.0.175:7002,172.31.0.113:7003
</Location>Also see the complete example here: http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=7795
"the plugin sometimes redirects to the other active node"
This is somewhat strange, do you have session binding turned off?
"and on another occasion shows the oracle management console identity manager without the colors of the basic look and feel."
This could happen due to mime types (not really sure just a hunch). Here is a general story on this concept: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Properly_Configuring_Server_MIME_Types
    and the apache module: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_mime.html

  • Apache Proxy Plugin (2.22) and Weblogic 9.2 - using SSL

    Hello,
I need some help configuring Apache 2.22 to proxy to Weblogic 9.2. I'm able to do this without SSL. But when I introduce SSL into the mix, it does not work. Here's what I'm doing:
    1. I set the secure port in the httpd.conf file (7002 is my secure port) - this is within a IfModule mod_weblogic.c tag:
    WebLogicHost WLServer
    WebLogicPort 7002
    2. I download the secure certificate for my weblogic site by double-clicking on the secure lock icon in IE6. When the Certificate window opens, I go to the Details tab and click the Copy to File button. In the Certificate Download Wizard, I click Next and select Base-64 encoded X.509 (.CER) option and click Next again. Then I enter a path and filename for the certificate file and click Next and then Finish.
    3. I enter the following parameters in the httpd.conf file (this is not in any tag like IfModule - is that wrong?):
    SecureProxy ON
    TrustedCAFile "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\WLServer_TrustedCA.cer"
    4. I restarted Weblogic and Apache
    5. When I try to go to my web site, I get the following error:
    Failure of server APACHE bridge:
No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF.
    Can someone please help?
    Thanks much,
    Alex

Thanks Hussain for replying. I was able to set this up using Max Button's post (see my earlier post from today). The parameters I set inside the <Location> tag are:
    SecureProxy ON
    WLProxySSL ON
    RequireSSLHostMatch false
    TrustedCAFile C:\PROGRA~1\APACHE~1\Apache2.2\WLServer_TrustedCA.pem
    EnforceBasicConstraints false
Thanks for looking into this anyhow!

  • Weblogic 8.1 Apache Plug-In

    Where can I find the plug-in for WLS 8.1/Apache 2.0/Windows 2003?

    Hi Vishwas,
Thank you for the reply. I forgot to mention that Apache and WebLogic are on Solaris 9 platform.
Accesing a webapp hosted on WebLogic through Apache->plug-in->WebLogic return 500 internal server error, but other webapps hosted on the same WebLogic domain works properly. Looking at the Response Hdrs from WebLogic shows that WLS returns transfer-encoding=chunked. The other webapps which work properly has content-length set and transfer-encoding is not chunked.
So, the question is does Apache Plug-in for weblogic 8.1 SP5 read the chunked data properly?
    Thanks,

  • Problems using 4096 bit SSL certificate with WebLogic Apache 2.2 plug-in

    Hi,
'm using WebLogic 9.2 MP3 and Apache HTTP Server (version 2.2) Plug-In. For security reasons, I have SSL installed on both Apache and WebLogic. So Apache must communicate with WebLogic via https.
I get the following error when attempting to access WebLogic via Apache:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
These are the last lines in wlproxy log:
Fri Feb 26 14:08:59 2010 <71212672221392> INFO: SSL is configured
Fri Feb 26 14:08:59 2010 <71212672221392> SSL Main Context not set. Calling InitSSL
Fri Feb 26 14:08:59 2010 <71212672221331> INFO: Initializing SSL library
I've found that the problem is caused by using a 4096 bit intermediate cert. When I include this 4096 bit cert in the file referenced by plugin parameter "TrustedCAFile", it is unable to load it. I've tested 4096 bit certs from a few different certificate authorities, and consistently see this problem, so I know the problem is not related to the specific certificate. If I use a 2048 bit intermediate certificate, everything works perfectly fine.
Do you know if there are limitations to the certificate length that the plug-in can use?

Yes 4096 bit Certificates are not supported by the plugin.
You can use up to 2048 bit.
There is a Bug which clearly mentions it.
I dont remember the Bug Number, but an Oracle Support person will be able to tell you.
    Hope this helps.

  • Apache Proxy Plug-in with WebLogic 8.1 SP5 - Transfer Encoding:Chunked

    Hello All,
    Configuration: Apache 2.0.48
    Plugin - mod_wl128_20.so
    WebLogic Version - 8.1 SP5
There is no SSL between Apache and WebLogic server.
Apache seems to have issue when the response from WebLogic has: Hdrs from WLS:[Transfer-Encoding]=[chunked]
I turned on the debugging on Apache side with DebugAll flag and WLS sends data to Apache plug-in.
Is is a known issue? Is there any CR to fix it? Please let me know if you need further details.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Weblogic 5.1 sp3 with Apache or Stronghold on Solaris 2,7

    3. mod_wl_ssl_raven.so for Apache + Raven installations
mod_wl_ssl_raven.so was required because Raven applies frontpage patches which

On Solaris there are no problems integrating weblogic and Apache.
I would not recommend using the weblogic web server, the performance of image
streaming and serving static webpages is not the greatest - apache will do a
    much better job for you.
Weblogic also has a plug in for apache on Solaris that supports fail over. ie.
if one of your weblogic server goes down then apache can reconnect to another
    one

  • Overriding default errror page for Apache-Weblogic bridge

I am writing this problem again as nobody has replied me with any solution.
I want to overide the default error page that comes up when weblogic is down
for some reason in apache-weblogic bridge. I looked into the weblogic
documentation and specfied the following in the apache configuration file
    ErrorPage http://www.domain.com/systemerror.html
But for some reason it is not able to locate the domain as well as the page.
But if try the same url in the browser, it works. Please help.
    Rakesh

I am using the plugin and using the error page successfully. Apache and WL
use the same document root, and the error page is located within the
    document root:
    Within the httpd.conf, I have:
    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
    # Config file for WebLogic which defines parameters for plugin
    Include conf/weblogic.conf
    </IfModule>
    Within the weblogic.conf, I have:
    ErrorPage unavailable.html
    Provide your configuration settings.

Well, we are using weblogic supplied apache plugin and I am following all
the steps that is specified in setting up apache plugins in weblogic
documentation. I do not think it is apache network problem as apache is
    working fine.
The think the problem is somewhere in the weblogic-apache plugin module.

as worded, that sounds like a network setup problem on the apache server
    side.
however, it seems that you want a server-connection-timeout error toreturn
an specific error page via the plug-in. This all depends on how theplugin
works. If it is how I think it works, there needs to be an INI
    setting
to sepcify a page. Why? Because the plug-in effectively has control of
the response. It either needs a way hand control back to the web serveror
needs to have error pages of its own.
    BEA?
