Weblogic 64 bit on windows

Hi,
I am looking to install a 64 bit version of Weblogic Server on Windows and am not able to find one.
Where do i get the download file?
Thanks!

Hi,
For 64 bit architecture operating Systems you need to use *"Generic Jar Installer"*
Please refer to the following link:

  • Weblogic server for Windows 7 64 bit operating system

    Hi,
I have installed Personal Oracle 11g on my laptop. Next, I would like to install the weblogic server and then the Fusion middle ware. My goal is to have Oracle Forms, reports and discoverer running on the laptop. I dont see Weblogic server 64 bit for windows in the oracle product matrix. Can anyone suggest where I can get weblogic server for Winfows 7 64 bit machine?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Oracle WebLogic Server Downloads can be found at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/wls_main.html
I believe Oracle WebLogic Server is not certified yet on Windows 7 64-bit, and this explains why you cannot find installation files to download. More details about the product certification can be found at:

  • Weblogic 11g on Windows 2008 64 bit

It appears that Weblogic 11g for windows only comes in 32 bit and can run ok on 64 bit. I have 24 Gb of memory on the server and my question is will forms and reports user sessions be able to access all the memory? Or since Weblogic is 32 bit, will any forms and reports sessions be restricted to the first 3Gb of memory?
    Edited by: user1065650 on Apr 3, 2012 2:21 PM

    Hi
Weblogic 11g does come both for 32 Bit and 64 Bit for both Windows and Unix OS. Its just that for 64 Bit OS, for Windows, you need to download WLS Generic Installer (.jar extension) and follow the steps.
See this link and another post in this link for more details:
required weblogic 10.3.5 instllable for windows server 2008(64bit)
If you download and run .exe installer, yes it is 32 Bit. But for 64 bit machines, download .jar installer.

  • Upgrading windows 7 home premium 64 bit to windows 7 professional 64 bit

Can I upgrade Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit without losing my program information, my settings or my desktop? If yes, how to proceed?
Thank you for your answer! Manuel

Apologies about the delay. I've been brooding.
Although we don't know where the specific relevant keys are on modern versions of iTunes, there's a shotgun approach we can take to dealing with them, which has a reasonable chance of success in this case. The complicating factor in your case is that you've got a 64-bit Windows. So there's an extra hoop to jump through.
The basic approach is the procedure from the following weblog entry:
[Solving setup errors by using the SubInACL tool to repair file and registry permissions|http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/09/04/solving-setup-err ors-by-using-the-subinacl-tool-to-repair-file-and-registry-permissions.aspx]
The complicating factor is that we have to make an additional edit to the reset.cmd file.
When you're in Notepad, replacing the two YOURUSERNAME values with the name of your Windows 7 user account, in the first line of the batch file, replace the:
    %programfiles%
    ... with:
    %ProgramFiles(x86)%
(On a 64-bit Windows system, subinacl is installed in a different location than on 32-bit systems. So unless we make that change, the reset.cmd isn't going to be able to find subinacl and the reset.cmd won't work.)
While you're in Notepad editing the file, make sure each of the nine lines of the file start of a new line. (Sometimes they get smooshed up together on a single line, and then again the reset.cmd won't work.)
I'd strongly suggest setting up a System Restore point immediately prior to running the reset.cmd. There's instructions on that in the following document:

    Wayne,
    Thank you,
The problem is that I know 2 sources to download Weblogic v.7 SP2:
    http://commerce.bea.com
    http://support.bea.com
I downloaded evaluation from first source 2 months ago, I downloaded also
version from second source yesterday. This versions are very different, and
I have not received any notification, have not seen any alert at BEA
website. (Now, both versions, from both sources, are the same)
The latest version installs empty folder ....\server\lib\linux
This folder should contain mod_... files, plug-in for Linux 1.3.27
However, I found necessary "plug-in" files when directly unzipped file
    "server702_win32.exe".
May be installer checks "license.bea"? Tomorrow I'll check with production
    license.
For evaluation, everything should be up-to-date.
I tried to find exact information, whether Weblogic SP2 (on Windows 2000
SP3) supported with Apache 1.3.27 (on Linux), and I found very strange
    information at
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/certifications/certifications/win2000.html#39532
    "Certifications", Apache plug-in, 2.0.39
    http://edocs.bea.com/platform/docs70/support/supp_plat.html#975283
"Support", "WebLogic Server certified on version 1.3.9 and higher" - ...
    Sorry, I can't understand...
I would like also to see good API DOC, existing one does not contain some
information on some important classes which are mentioned throughout the
    web-site.
I would like to see more about "weblogic-tags.jar", it is large enough
    library for possible bugs...
    Respectfully,

The bottom line is, WebLogic 5.1 through 7.0 all run on Windows 2000.

What do you need? WebLogic 7.0 SP2? Just the SP upgrade or the whole

  • Install Oracle DB 32-bit on Windows 2003 Server EM64T

I need to know if i can install Oracle 10.1.0.3 32 bit or 10gR2 32 bit on Windows
Standard Edition 2003 64 with Intel Xeon -64 bit?
    Tks,
    Elber

You must use the 64 bit edition. Only 10gR2 64bit is certified for this platform, 10gR1 was not produced for 64 bits and the 32bit edition is not supported.
From the Certify Matrix it states "Running 32-bit applications on a 64-bit operating system is generally referred to as "Compatibility-Mode" by many AMD64/EM64T hardware vendors. Irrespective of this terminology, 32-bit Oracle Database server is *not* certified on Windows x64. For the 32-bit Oracle database client, check the certification matrix for more details.".

  • Migration from Oracle 9i 32 bit to Oracle 10G 64 bit on Windows 2003 Server

I am working on migrating Oracle 9i 32 bit to Oracle 10G 64 bit on Windows 2003 from Old server to new server. We have db around 500 GB and 3 schemas. I installed Oracle 10G on new server, created tablespaces, schema's blah blah and now doing export and import at schema level from old server to new server.
Import is taking more than 4 to 5 hours on new server. My manager is saying, window time is bit longer and he wants me to try possiblities to make this process faster. Can some one help me on this, to use the best possible method to complete this process faster?
Will below step work, if I try?
If I install, oracle 9i and 10g both on new server in different home directories and take the hot backup from old machine and restore on new machine in 9i home directory and use the upgrade configuration assistant from 10g and do the upgrade? Pls advice.

    It looks good.
I have one question in below steps:
To migrate an Oracle9i or older database to an Oracle Database 10g Release 1 (10.1) database for 64-bit Windows:
    1 Perform steps 1 - 11 in "Migrating an Oracle Database 10g Release 1 (10.1) Database".
2 Shut down the database on the 64-bit computer:
    SQL> SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE;
    3 Start the database migration:
    SQL> STARTUP MIGRATE;
4 Migrate the database as described in Chapter 3, "Upgrading a Database to the New Oracle Database 10g Release" in Oracle Database Upgrade Guide.
In step 4, it says, migrate database as described in chapter 3. In chapter 3, it says, to do the upgrade the process using dbca or manually. Pls confirm whether do the upgrade process after issuing startup migrate or not.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Is it Possible to install ODDC 32 bit on Windows Server 2008 R2(64bit)?

    Hi All,
Is it Support to Install ODDC 32 bit on Windows Server 2008 R2(64 bit).
I am Posting this bcoz I did not found any ODDC related Blogs.
    Please help on this
    Thanks,
    Raj

The certification matrix ( http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/webcenter/content/odc-cert-matrix-214688.pdf ) does not mention OS for ODDC Server, but as ODC is certified for Win Server 2008, R2, 32 or 64 bit, I believe the answer is yes.
Make sure, however, that you ODDC clients run on a different OS (see Exceptions).

Only Apple could hamstring and tie Mac OS to Windows. There isn't any other than whether you can download the drivers into Windows (you can) but Apple puts a block on the installer setup even if your mac does not support it.
Windows 7 needs at least Boot Camp 3.1 and 3.3 is what you should already have. And you are not getting security updates if you don't have at least 10.6.8 as was pointed out.  --- you arent using Software Update as you should. And you should backup and clone Mac (and Windows) as well.
You need Mountain Lion to use Boot Camp 5.x which supports Windows 7 & 8 and 64-bit.
I would upgrade to Lion if you can realizing that Rosetta and PowerPC are no longer supported though.

Is there a download of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software if I'm not using OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.3?
Yes, you can download the Boot Camp 5 Support Software here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638
How do I use the Boot Camp 5 Support Software I downloaded from the web page?
The download file is a .zip file. Double click it to uncompress it.
Double-click the Boot Camp disk image.
Copy the Boot Camp and "$WinPEDriver$" folders to the root level of a USB flash drive or hard drive that is formatted with the FAT file system (see question below for steps on how to format).
Install Windows, leaving the flash or hard drive attached to the USB port of your Mac.
Installation of the drivers can take a few minutes. Don't interrupt the installation process. A completion dialog box will appear when everything is installed. Click Finish when the dialog appears.
When your system restarts your Windows 8 installation is done.
Note: If the flash drive or hard drive was not attached when you installed Windows and was inserted after restarting into Windows 8, double-click the Boot Camp folder, then locate and double click the "setup.exe" file to start the installation of the Boot Camp 5 Support Software.
How do I format USB media to the FAT file system?
Use Disk Utility to format a disk to use with a Windows computer. Here's how:
Important: Formatting a disk erases all the files on it. Copy any files you want to save to another disk before formatting the disk.
    Open Disk Utility.
Select the disk you want to format for use with Windows computers.
Click Erase, and choose one of the following from the Format pop-up menu:
If the size of the disk is 32 GB or less, choose MS-DOS (FAT).
If the size of the disk is over 32 GB, choose ExFAT.
Type a name for the disk. The maximum length is 11 characters.
Click the Erase button and then click Erase again.
Which versions of Windows are supported with Boot Camp 5?
64-bit versions of Windows 8 and Windows 7 are supported using the Boot Camp 5 Support Software. If you need to use a 32-bit version, you need to use Boot Camp 4 Support Software, and you must use Windows 7. 32-bit versions of Windows 8 are not supported via Boot Camp. • ITunes 32-bit upgrade to iTunes 64-bit on Windows 7 64 bit

    Hi there!
I have a question about upgrading iTunes from 32-bit to 64-bit on Windows.
As I always do when I reformat my computer I save my "iTunes Library.itl" files and all those other files, backup my iTunes Music folder etc. Then I re-install iTunes on the new computer and put the iTunes Music folder and the library files back into their places and iTunes works just fine.
My question is this. I'm curently upgrading from Vista 32-bit to Win7 64-bit.
I can probaly keep using iTunes 32-bit in Win7 64-bit but what's the point. I have to make the transition some time anyway. So my question is. Can I do as I always do, install iTunes 32-bit in Win7 64-bit, as my files and then install iTunes 64-bit over the 32-bit installation? Or can a clean iTunes 64-bit installation use my old "iTunes Library.itl" files etc from my 32-bit installation of iTunes?
I hope this makes any sens.

It's quite easy actually. First have your "iTunes Library Extras", "iTunes Library Genius", "iTunes Library", and "iTunes Music Library" backed up. Download ans install iTunes 64-bit. I don't know what's so 64-bit about iTunes 64 since Win7 reports it as a 32-bit application in the task manager. But anyway. Install iTunes 64 and launch it. If you migrated your library to another drive like me go to settings in iTunes and change the directory to your location. Close iTunes. Replace the newly created files with your backed up files. Launch iTunes. iTunes will load and then update your library and from there you are set to go! so basically it is just like a normal upgrade. But if you hesitated to go from 32 to 64 like me, here is your answer.
By the way. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit with iTunes 64-bit and it works without problems and syncing with my iPod Touch also works flawlessly.

  • 11.1.2 64 bit on Windows 7

    Hi,
Has anyone faced an issue where it says "IIS is not installed" when you try to install 11.1.2 64 bit on Windows 7 x64? IIS and WWWeb Services are fine as when I call http://localhost, I can see multilingual welcome screen of IIS7.
The problem occurs when the installer tries to install EPMA, HSF, FDM and HFM. Other components are installed and configured just fine.
    Alp

This seems like another first release catastrophe then. It's very strange as me and my collegue sitting next to me installed Win 7 x64 to exactly same laptops, enabled IIS (with .net) using exactly the same options and started the installation from the same installation package! Voila! one installs everything without exception, the other fails in the parts I mentioned.
Despite these issues though, I must admit that the installation somehow feels so comfortable. Well, I wish I could have seen further then that, maybe tomorrow.
I will try John's configuration, let's see what's going to happen. Thanks guys.
    Cheers,

BTW this isn't a new problem. I wished I had known it existed before and perhaps I would have avoided the tm2t and went for the X200t as has this other person (it seems he gave up on HP and returned the tm2t... so HP this is affecting your sales)...

    howard.

    Hi,
For those who are in the same boat as me (and having NO follow up support from HP   ) Here is a tip, download and install the most recent 32 bit Vista/Win7 ATI Mobility drivers. This current version does (finally!) have the support for the Radeon HD 4550 (9555). Here's the link:

However this is just a partial fix. The switchable graphics does not work since this is the generic driver set from ATI. If anyone has a clue on how to hack/install the required stuff in please post here! Otherwise we'll need to wait on HP to provide this. HELLO HP?!
