Weblogic 7 for Windows
Hello,
I need some details.
Environment:
Weblogic 7.0 with some libraries which I can't see...
Windows 2000 Server, SP3
RedHat Linux 7.3, Apache 1.3.27
Where are weblogic_sp.jar, ext\ora920, ...?
http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/certifications/certifications/win2000.html#39532
http://edocs.bea.com/platform/docs70/support/supp_plat.html#975283
I found 2 very different pages... so a little bit confused. Different info
on those pages.
Where can I find Weblogic SP2 for Windows 2000 SP 3, ... For instance, in my
evaluation version there is no JDBC test tool, but there is driver for
Oracle 9.2.....
At "production", there is no driver for Oracle 9.2....
Also, about Apache 1.3.27. Is it supported?
"Smart Update" does not work...
It work at home, just now it shows that I need Service Pack 2 (7.0.2.0) for
my evaluation, but it does not work at "production", hope that problem is
only with firewall...
Thanks,
Fuad Efendiyev
Wayne,
Thank you,
The problem is that I know 2 sources to download Weblogic v.7 SP2:
http://commerce.bea.com
http://support.bea.com
I downloaded evaluation from first source 2 months ago, I downloaded also
version from second source yesterday. This versions are very different, and
I have not received any notification, have not seen any alert at BEA
website. (Now, both versions, from both sources, are the same)
The latest version installs empty folder ....\server\lib\linux
This folder should contain mod_... files, plug-in for Linux 1.3.27
However, I found necessary "plug-in" files when directly unzipped file
"server702_win32.exe".
May be installer checks "license.bea"? Tomorrow I'll check with production
license.
For evaluation, everything should be up-to-date.
I tried to find exact information, whether Weblogic SP2 (on Windows 2000
SP3) supported with Apache 1.3.27 (on Linux), and I found very strange
information at
http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/certifications/certifications/win2000.html#39532
"Certifications", Apache plug-in, 2.0.39
http://edocs.bea.com/platform/docs70/support/supp_plat.html#975283
"Support", "WebLogic Server certified on version 1.3.9 and higher" - ...
Sorry, I can't understand...
I would like also to see good API DOC, existing one does not contain some
information on some important classes which are mentioned throughout the
web-site.
I would like to see more about "weblogic-tags.jar", it is large enough
library for possible bugs...
Respectfully,
Fuad.

Hello:
The charts you were looking at are just different presentations of material.
One shows
all of the supported WLS versions and SPs on Windows 2000. The other is a
list of all
the supported platforms for WebLogic Platform 7.0.
The bottom line is, WebLogic 5.1 through 7.0 all run on Windows 2000.
> Where can I find Weblogic SP2 for Windows 2000 SP 3 ...
What do you need? WebLogic 7.0 SP2? Just the SP upgrade or the whole
product?
You may download products at http://commerce.bea.com/downloads/products.jsp

After registering I should be able to download some patches.
Sorry for sending E-mail to this group, I really don't know where to send,
site stopped after I've changed something in my profile - is Weblogic
running on Microsoft?
Most probably I am using IE of MS...

Can't uninstall a network installation (Version: WebLogic 8.1 for Windows)
Hi,
As described in the above subject, I encountered an error when trying to uninstall
WebLogic 8.1 for windows, which is installed from another computer (WINXP) thru
network.
The installation executes on the remote machine. When asking the location for
BEA home, I specify a path on a network drive , something like z:\bea.
(z: is the drive of the computer I want weblogic to be installed. I do this because
it only has enough space for the final installation, but not together with the
temporary files)
It seems that everything goes well, although the links in "Program Files" are
created on the remote machine only. However, when I want to uninstall it, I encounter
problems.
First, when using the "add/remove programs" way, it complained that it was not
able to find the path to javaw.exe. I paste the full command Z:\bea\jdk141_03\bin\javaw.exe
-Duninstall.dir="z:\bea\weblogic81\uninstall" -jar "z:\bea\weblogic81\common\lib\uninstall.jar"
and then it went on. Splash screen and the first wizard screen appears afterwards.
However, when I pressed "Next", a prompt appeared, with message ":[z:\bea]".
The same message appeared in console mode uninstallation.
Is there anyway to solve this problem? Thx!Hi,
I tried to replace all "Z:" to "C:" in registry.xml and re-uninstall again, but
that doesn't work.
Actually the thing I want to happen is only to remove the current (and somehow
faulty?) installation. Is it 100% ok to just remove all the files manually?

Check the contents of the registry.xml file and see if the environment
variables match
those of the machine you are working on. In particular, the items that
specify host
names and install directories.

hiii does anybody have the link to download web logic server 8.1 SP6 for windows vista.I couldn't find in the site.

Weblogic server for Windows 7 64 bit operating system
Hi,
I have installed Personal Oracle 11g on my laptop. Next, I would like to install the weblogic server and then the Fusion middle ware. My goal is to have Oracle Forms, reports and discoverer running on the laptop. I dont see Weblogic server 64 bit for windows in the oracle product matrix. Can anyone suggest where I can get weblogic server for Winfows 7 64 bit machine?
Thanks,
RVHi,
Oracle WebLogic Server Downloads can be found at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/wls_main.html
I believe Oracle WebLogic Server is not certified yet on Windows 7 64-bit, and this explains why you cannot find installation files to download. More details about the product certification can be found at:

Required weblogic 10.3.5 instllable for windows server 2008(64bit)
Hi,
I have been trying to find the weblogic server(10.3.5), CO(13.4), BO(13.4) and POS(13.4) installable for Windows server 2008(64bit) but am unable to find them in e-delivery or anywhere else on Oracle website.
Can anyone please provide me the link for these software downloads.
Thanks.Hi
On this below link, look for older versions of Weblogic Server which is at the bottom of the page. Expand for WLS 10.3.5. You need Weblogic Server + Coherence package installer. Download the generic jar installer.

Repository Creation Utility for windows 7 64 bit
Hi All,
I did not find Repository Creation Utility for windows 7 64 bit.
Any idea how I can get around this or where I can find RCU for windows 7 64 bit.
Thanks, in advance!Hi DK,
There is not a particular 64bit installation. I think it works like this: if you are using a 64bit JDK the apps server is also running 64 bit.
You can find the generic jar here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/wls-main-097127.html and take the generic one (http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/middleware/11g/wls1033_generic.jar)
You install this by a command like this (you have to look up the documentation): java -XXm.... .... wls1033_generic.jar
Then a installer pops up.
So these were my steps:
- installed RCU
- installed 64 bits JDK (jdk-6u21-windows-x64.exe)
- installed Weblogic (wls1033_generic.jar)
- installed OBI as "software only"
- configured OBIi (config.bat you can find in <obi11g home>\Oracle_BI1\bin)
All together it does not take much longer then the 32bit install. Only some extra steps to do.
Hope this works for you too.

Error in "---- RECEIVING XML ----", WL 6.1, sp 2 for Windows
I have changed a few names and run the webservices/message example. The ConsumerClient.java
when initially started has thrown exception regarding illegal character.
The RECEIVING XML is generated by the server and, in case of ConsumerClient, all
code is produced by wsgen utility. My guess is that the problem is caused by the

where quotes are missed.
So, is this a bug in WL 6.1, sp 2 for Windows ? The output follows:

-MichaelHi Michael,
Thanks a lot for such detailed description. You know, I've considered this bug
until I've found out that it works OK for my case if I DO NOT change <destinationtype>
setup from "topic" to "queue". Actually, I do care about it mostly from the consistency
perspective. This a small fly in comparison to the BUG I've found next.
Currently, I am contacting BEA Support with that regard. In short words, I've
found that 1) if you build WS on the top of JMS Queue; 2) use the webservices.message.ConsumerClient
from WL examples or similar; 3) run this Client several times closing the Client
application after each run; 4) control how many consumers your JMS Queue has after
each run - you will see that the number of active consumers becomes equal the
number of your runs. That is, WS initiated by each ConsumerClient remains connected
to the destination, i.e. the Queue, even when the real client - ConsumerClient
- is dead already. This results in multiple consumers for the same JMS Queue,
i.e. now the JMS decides which consumer would get the message from the queue,
i.e. your ConsumerClient has a chance of never getting the message and wait forever.
I believe, the WS engaged by ConsumerClient in this use-case MUST close JMS connection
by itself or on command somehow.
Hey, please tell me more about "Bavarian Hat Dance", I am not familiar with this
dance.
Sincerely,

Hi Michael,
(Hey my name is Michael too!)
You are probably right that this is a bug in wsgen (not neccessarily
WLS - wsgen
!= WLS)! I would try to remove all the output files generated by wsgen
(i.e. ear
file, jar file for EJB, directory used to build EJB, client.jar, etc),
first.
Be careful not to mistakenly remove the source files (i.e. build.xml,
etc.), though.
Then I would stop WLS (if it's not already stopped), and remove the .wl_temp_do_not_delete
directory, under the applications directory of the domain (i.e. config/examples,
etc) directory you are using. Don't worry - WLS will recreate this directory
the
next time it is started. Finally, I would make sure the build.xml had
no "lingering
references" to the queue stuff, and re-run wsgen. Also, make sure the
information
in the config.xml is accurate. Regardless of whether this "Bavarian Hat
Dance"
works or not, it's probably an "eight-legger" (or "six-legger")!

My further investigation has shown that this error comes if I set destinationtype="queue"
in <messageservice /> in wsgen task ( in build.xml ). If destinationtype="topic"
it works properly. The most confusing thing is that I have only theQueue
configured
in WL JMS server.
This destinationtype="queue"/"topic" issue in my test-case appearesas
an obvious
BUG in WL Web Services, i.e. in wsgen.

I have changed a few names and run the webservices/message example. The
ConsumerClient.java

The RECEIVING XML is generated by the server and, in case of ConsumerClient,
all
code is produced by wsgen utility. My guess is that the problem is
caused
by the
line
<FONT FACE=Helvetica><BR CLEAR=all>
where quotes are missed.
So, is this a bug in WL 6.1, sp 2 for Windows ? The output follows:
