WebLogic 9.1 Express Deployement Issue

We are using WebLogic 9.1 Express in a single domain, multiple managed server, non-clustered environment.
We have been seeing an issue where during the deployment phase of our maintenance window, if users attempt to access the application, while the deployment is still running, the deployment will finish but with errors. As an example, entire modules will be inaccessible with classpath errors. If users do not attempt to access during the deploy and let it finish, then everything deploys without error. At first we thought that this was coincidence, yet it happens repeatedly therefore establishing a pattern.
I know this sounds strange but it happens repeatedly. I have never seen this issue with any other version of WebLogic.
Have any of you ever heard of this?

Why doesn't my airport express router issue proper DNS server address to DHCP clients?

I have an Airport express router (version 7.6.4). It was configured to connect to internet via a cable modem, acting as a router with NAT. This means it obtians WAN address from cable modem, and in LAN it assumes IP address 10.0.1.1 as a gateway, and issue IP address to my 4-5 wireless clients (MBA, iPads, PCs) vi DHCP.
However I recently encounter an issue, that the router no longer issues DNS server address obtained from Cable Modem(206.x.x.x) but instead tell every DHCP client to use router ip address (10.0.1.1) as DNS server. I was pretty sure before Dec 2013 it is issueing (206.x.x.x) to all DHCP clients.
Apparently now the Airport express is acting as a DNS server or as a DNS cache. This works sporadically and very often result in long DNS look up or DNS look up failure.
Is this a bug or is it supposed to do so? Any configuration can turn it off so Airport express will issue Cable modem obtained DNS server to DHCP clients?
My network otherwise works fine. for some of the Clients (e.g. one MBA) I configured DNS for it mannually and it's internet is working very smoothly.

But this will be a problem for my ipad and iphone that uses wifi.
These devices either allow full DHCP. If you need to mannually enter DNS server, you will need to turn entire IP configuration to mannual and that will be a problem for me.

USB Airport Express Printing Issues - HP Photosmart

Hi. When I connect my HP Photosmart directly to the iMac thru the USB cable, the Mac printer utility finds it, it can be added and all the utility software from the HP (like measuring ink levels, etc.) work fine.
When I connect it to the USB airport express port (so that I can print wirelessly from any computer in the house, and the Mac), I have issues. Funny, I have issues with the Mac only, not with the other windows computers (I installed bonjour for windows on the XP machines). But on the Mac, I just can't get the HP utility software to work fine.
Thoughts?

The HP Photosmart 7550 I know for a fact is not compatible with Mac clients via Airport Express. I wrestled with it for days.
Works fine connected via USB to the Mac.
Works fine via USB or Airport with Windows XP.
Does not work via Airport with Mac.

SQL Server 2008 Express - timeout issues, "This SqlTransaction has completed; it is no longer usable."

Good morning all! I work for a small business that uses a robust Accounting/Inventory database called Traverse (or Open Systems) and is run on a desktop computer using SQL Server 2008 Express.
We don't have an IT department, but I have a bit of knowledge, so I've been the go-to person to handle any tech support issues in our tiny 5 person office. I've been reading up on SQL Server 2008 Express, but am completely stumped on this issue.
Our database would work consistently well for quite a while - sometimes getting disconnected from the server and requiring a restart of either the SQL Server itself or the Traverse License Server.
About two weeks ago, I noticed that nobody had ever run Windows Update on the desktop that we have SQL Server on, so I spent the better part of a day updating everything, hoping it would help some of the little buggy issues we've been having. Unfortunately,
by applying the updates, I think it may have altered settings - or updated appropriately and our functionality is diminished.
Basically, we have 3 users connecting into the server to use the database at any time. Sometimes we might not be accessing information constantly, and it appears we're getting a timeout message in the SQL Server Log - stating the system was awoken
by user activity after around 25-30 minutes. When this happens, the system is painfully slow and locks up, giving SQL Server Connection errors, or the "This SqlTransaction has completed; it is no longer usable." message. I noticed that
there is a connection timeout of 15 seconds set for our SQL Server, but it's greyed out in the dialog box I saw it in, and am not sure if that's even a culprit.
I'd just like to get this working again to where we can continue to use the database throughout the day without waiting for it to seemingly load all of the data after "waking up". It's to a point that one of my employees is coming into my
office every 5 minutes complaining that she can't do anything in Traverse. I'm about to lose my mind!
If anyone has any clue what could be the issue, I'd be so grateful for help. If you need any logs, messages, etc.. please let me know which and I will share them. Thank you again!

This is known as the Zombie Check exception. It is generally caused by trying to commit a transaction twice or trying to roll back a committed transaction. It can also be caused by a connection closing before the transaction is complete. In you case I would
suspect the latter.

Final Cut Pro to Final Cut Express -- Format issues?

Hi,
I'm shooting a project on a Panasonic HVX-200A, and my cameraman is going to import the footage to his Final Cut Pro station. He's then going to transfer the FCP footage and data over to an external hard drive, which I am going to use to edit the film using Final Cut Express.
Will there be any formatting issues if I bring the data from Final Cut Pro to Final Cut Express?

Clip files can be easily imported into FCE if they are QuickTime DV-NTSC/DV-PAL or Apple Intermediate Codec (720p30, 1080i50/60). If they are other formats/codecs they should be converted to DV or AIC before importing into FCE.
FCPro project files cannot be imported into FCExpress.
I'd suggest a trial run before committing the project to this workflow.

JSF 1.2 and Weblogic 10.3.6 compatibility issue

Our application have been developed in JSF 1.2 and spring DAO. We have deployed it on Weblogic 10.3.6 X86 server.
We are facing an issue like on page load data are populated in the page. Say for example on page load company list getting populated and displayed in the drop down.
If we do any operation like select a company code or submit the page all the data are flushed out from the pages. After that navigation of pages also doesnot work.
We neither get any logs nor exception.
And i am not getting this issue in my local weblogic server - 10.3.5
We are struggling with this issue for more than 10 days now and its critical time for us to fix it ASAP.

We are not getting any logs. the control is going to javascript but the page get refreshed and all data are just vanishing.

I had the same problem with the migration from WLS 10.3.5 to WLS 10.3.6.
I did some testing with different jdevelopers in combination with WLS 10.3.5 and 10.3.6.
The jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.x is only using the JSF 2.0 library, which is backwards compatible with JSF 1.2.
After deploying with WLS 10.3.6 the ADF library 11.1.1.6.0 and the patches 13656274, 13656372.
With the following instructions
I was able to Run my application without the problems that I had with JSF 1.2 and the JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0.

Weblogic and mod_wls_ohs re-authenticate issue

I got the following scenario (all software 11.1.1.6):
WEBCACHE:80 > OHS:7777 > WLS:7001
I have this little issue: every time I update something on the weblogic console, and activate the change (by clicking on "Activete changes"), it leads me to the login page again.
This happens when I configure the weblogic to be accessed through mod_wls_ohs plugin only.

This issue turned out to be a missing target during the ant build process.

WebLogic 9.1 Security Providers Issue

I have created custom Authentication and Authorization security providers
using the sample code, SampleSecurityProviders.zip, found on the dev2dev
site. I used the MBean maker to create the MBean JAR file and installed it
in the WL_HOME/server/lib/mbeantypes folder. I used the console application
to set-up a new security realm, configured it to use my custom security
providers, marked it as the default realm and re-started my WLS instance.
The WLS instance starts-up without any problems and I am able to log-in to
the console application without incident. Trace messages I added to my
custom security providers indicate they are being utilized. The console
application functions normally until I try to log out. A dialog box is
displayed with the message: " Internal server error The server encountered
an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request." and
the log out operation fails. The server log file contains the following

Weblogic 9.x supports only JDK 1.5 ? Now, Iam trying to perform same build using Weblogic 8.1 SP5 and Iam not able to find javax.jms.ConnectionFactory in weblogic.jar, where as in Weblogic 9.x 'weblogic.jar' javax.jms.ConnectionFactory' is found.

Logic Express Sync Issue

MAC G5 2.0 dual 1mb RAM Tiger Digi 002 Pro Tools 6.9.2
Last night I downloaded and installed the Logic 7 Express demo from
the apple site. After opening and setting up logic I opened a current
Garage Band file. It plays very slow and sluggish. Similar to when you
have the sample rate set incorrectly. I keep getting sample rate
errors but can't seem to get it corrected. I tweaked most of the
options under the synchronization menu to no avail.
Pro Tools still runs fine, but Garage Band now does the same thing.
What did I hose? If I use the internal sound drivers from apple all is
well. I feel the issue is tied to Digi's core audio drivers.
Any suggestions?

Call apple support. You'll have to provide a proof of purchase and they probably will give you a new serial no.

When i try the "configure.cmd" i have this error message :

No mapping between account names and Security IDs was not done.
The specified path was not found.

So i have set this variables :
JAVA_HOME = C:\Program Files\Java\jre6
MW_HOME = E:\home\myhome\mywls
I wasn't able to find any reference of the error lessage on google or in the relase note.
So, i'm asking for help.

Sometimes there are problems with spaces in paths. You can try using JAVA_HOME = C:\Progra~1\Java\jdk1.6.0_21.
Also set the JAVA_HOME path to a valid JDK instead of a JRE.

Express card issue

Hi Folks,
I upgraded to Leopard, then to Snow Leopard recently and just noticed that somewhere along the way my Express Card is no longer working. I can't even see it as a hardware device. I run XP via bootcamp mostly on the MBP, and the card works fine there so I know it is not a hardware issue.
If this a windows issue, I would remove the hardware drivers etc via the Device Manager. I have no clue how to completely remove and reinstall hardware on the Mac OSX though. Any suggestions?? Is there a similar feature within OSX?
I also tried optioncommand+PR on startup, it rebooted after a moment then booted normally and still did not work.

Is this a particular card not working or no cards work?
If it is specific card then it most likely is not Snow Leopard compatible or it needs updated drivers.

Touch to Express connection issue

I am using Airport Express with iPod touch 5.0.1, to play music and Pandora through my home stereo. The connection will work great for a day or two with no interruptions and then begin to intermittently drop to the point that it will no longer reconnect. After a day or two I will go back to it and it may or may not work. Very random. The rest of my wifi is very stable, its seems to only be a problem between the touch and express. Any ideas how I can remedy this connection issue? Thanks!

Need help with expression builder issue

I'm hoping someone can help with an issue I'm having. I'm creating a database for a manufacturing joinery. For 1 of my forms, Ive to create a despatch form which includes order details along with customer details. Some customers can have contracts in which
they get a fixed price on certain item. This is where the problem lies.
For my customers table, I have a field called "On contract" which is a Yes/No field. I've created a query to attempt to make this form. I'm having trouble with adding a total column at the end of this query. Quantity,Unit Price, Contract Price
are also in the query. I've been trying to build an expression to say like;
iif [on contract] = "Yes", [Quantity] * [Contract Price]
iif [on contract] = "no", [Quantity] * [Unit Price]
It obviously wont work, what am I doing wrong?

Assuming you are using the database is SQL Server:
SELECT [CustomerID]

,[Total] = CASE WHEN [On Contract] = 'Yes' THEN [Quantity] * [Contract Price]
WHEN [On Contract] = 'No' THEN [Quantity] * [Unit Price] END
FROM [Customers]
Modify the SQL to suit your need.
