WebLogic 9.2 MP1 - NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/xml/domimpl/Saver
Hello,
I'm currently experiencing the following error in our production WebLogic environment. Curiously, the same WAR file deploys and works fine on our QA and STAGE servers. I must admit that my debugging knowledge of WebLogic is limited, but I have checked the obvious things (same version of WebLogic on all servers, same JAR files present on all, etc).
The error occurs when trying to generate a WSDL for a web service. The error is as follows:
####<Oct 16, 2008 6:46:59 PM BST> <Error> <HTTP> <lxxxxxxxxx.xxxxx.com> <xxxxxx_16621_1> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1224179219556> <BEA-101017> <[weblogic.servlet.internal.WebAppServletContext@5ebaa3 - appName: 'AJPServices', name: 'AJPServices.war', context-path: '/AJP/AJPServices'] Root cause of ServletException.

Hey Sam,
Are you using the same kinda startup means ?
(NodeManager / Regular Scripts)
If you created your application the same way on all environments, you could try to use the script from QA to production (means you'll have to do it by night :) ) or in the other way : try your production startup script in the QA env.
Else, the good old-fashioned way : compare both config.xml with WinCompare or BeyondCompare or anything that does the job.
Make also sure you don't have any XML Registry declared and that your domain/lib directories look alike.
Hope this helps.

I found it in ADF 11g R2 documentation - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24382_01/web.1112/e16182/taskflows_regions.htm#insertedID10
I guess this is 11g R2 feature.
I have a requirement to display the multiple regions dynamically. This feature suits my requirement perfectly, but unfortunately it is not available in 11g R1.
Can we achieve the similar functionality in 11g R1 through other means?
Thanks

I am trying to use jaxb with Weblogic 6.1. I kept both the jaxb jar file in weblogic
classpath in setEnv script. I am getting the following error, when I am trying
to use jaxb
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/MarshallableRootElement
I tried other options also like coping both jar file in jre/ext dir but then I
got security error.
I will appreciate if someone in this newsgroup comments or suugest some solution.
Thanks

Hi All,
Is there any way to use compress-html-template with weblogic.xml with in Weblogic 10.0 MP1.
I added this as current xsd reference for weblogic 10.0 MP1 but throws me error that it could unable to identify the library reference.
Here is the following XSD file /
(http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-javae/1.0/weblogic-javaee.xsd)
Any suggestion for this would be really great.

Kal.
Edited by: kalyan Pasupuleti on Jul 20, 2009 11:07 AMThe error appears to come from the ariba code. I suggest asking them.

NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/management/configuration/KernelDebugMBean : weblogic/management/configuration/DebugMBean
I'm getting this error when trying to run a test of a web service developed with Axis outside of WLP.
weblogic.jar is in my classpath, and contains that class. So, I suspect there is some other class that might be missing. I've tried adding every .jar I can find from WLP to my classpath to no avail.

at org.apache.axis.AxisEngine.<init>(AxisEngine.java:156)Hi Tim,
Pls always mention WLP version for a question.
Looks like there has been a change in the class "KernelDebugMBean" between WLP 9.2 and WLP 10.0
9.2: public interface KernelDebugMBean extends weblogic.management.configuration.DebugMBean
"http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs92/javadocs_mhome/index.html"
10.0
public interface KernelDebugMBean
"http://edocs.beasys.co.jp/e-docs/wls/docs100/javadocs_mhome/index.html?weblogic/management/configuration/KernelDebugMBean.html"
Not really sure. Something is messy about DebugMBean superclass.
Might a BEA support question
Thanks

Hi,
I have an application jar file which is run from a .sh file.
The application uses ridc api to checkin a document on UCM.
I have placed jars for supporting the application on the folder where we have kept the application jar
also we have mentioned the supporting jar file names in the Manifest.mf file of the application jar.
The necessary jar files which we have placed are:
com.lnt.ucm.integrationutility.ucm.Client
log4j-1.2.16.jar
oracle.ucm.ridc-11.1.1.jar
poi-2.5.1.jar
commons-codec-1.2.jar
commons-httpclient-3.1.jar
commons-logging-1.0.4.jar
mail.jar
jxl-2.6.10.jar
com.bea.core.antlr.runtime_2.7.7.jar
com.oracle.toplink_1.0.0.0_11-1-1-5-0.jar
jrf.jar
org.eclipse.persistence_1.1.0.0_2-1.jar
weblogic.jar
wlfullclient.jar
wseeclient.jar
jaxws-rt-2.1.4.jar
we are getting below exception when we run the jar from the .sh file.

I encounter the similar error. Anyone knows how to fix it?By providing a configuration file which validates with the corresponding XSDs found in coherence.jar. Sorry, but can't point you to the specific issue without seeing the erroneous configuration file.

Unable to start MS NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/sip/tools/SipToolsFactory
Hi Folks,
I really need ur assistance on this, I am failing to start my weblogic managed server which is on WL 10.3.4 and hosted on Windows 2008R2 server.
I am getting the below exception:
<<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1365769487402> <BEA-000386> <Server subsystem failed. Reason: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/sip/tools/SipToolsFactory

at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.execute(ExecuteThread.java:207)
at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:176)
Now the I dont want to use the SIP and have done the following:
1. Disabled the SIP from my Weblogic Console and restarted the Admin Server
2. Modified my init script from
<setenv name="WLSS_HOME">
<value>E:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3/sip</value>
</setenv>
<setenv name="SIP_ENABLED">
<value>true</value>
</setenv>
to
<setenv name="WLSS_HOME">
<value>E:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3/sip</value>
</setenv>
<setenv name="SIP_ENABLED">
<value>false</value>
</setenv>
3. Modified my class paths so SIP wont be called.
Now the interesting part, actually this setup is a running setup and I have installed it from scratch..The thing here is it might sound silly....But the weblogic still picks up the Classpath for SIP during startup, be it via node manger or even on the server.
<WebLogicServer> <BEA-000395> <Following extensions directory contents added to the end of the classpath:
E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\DOMAIN_XYZ\lib\sipactivator.jar>
<BEA-002647> <The service plugin, com.oracle.core.sip.activator, was added from E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\DOMAIN_XYZ\lib\sipactivator.jar.>
If you see its a extension lib file, now my query without deleting the file from the extension lib how can i get rid of it.
Hope someone can help me out.
ThanksHi Kishore,
Thanks for the update, but I had already done those changes, please find my current config.xml but I noticed one thing when I restart my weblogic instance it creates a new config.xml with a name like this config.xml and it doesnt reflect the original config.xml which I am trying to use. I some how feel that the config.xml is being picked up while stating the instance instead of the original config.xml.
I am placing both of them below with the respective names.
config.xml (the one i am trying to use)

KODO on Weblogic 10.0 MP1
Hi,
I am running an application on Weblogic 10.0 MP1. The application uses KODO.The use case of my problem is simple.
There is a stateless session bean which has a transaction envelope of REQUIRED. One of its method, inserts a row into DB(Oracle) using KODO. Now, this insert fails due to some DB related issue e.g Primary Key violation. I can see in the weblogic log(by enabling the debug option of JPA) and also by enabling the trace log in persistance.xml of Kodo.
Now, the exception never gets propagated to the session bean method ie. If I try to catch the exception in the session bean by putting try/catch() block around the insert statement and using ANY form of exception, it just seems no exception is thrown.
However, since container(via session bean) has not recd any exception, it only comes to know when it tries to to commit the transaction , as part of method completion. Now, at this time it comes to know that this transaction has already been marked as "rolled back" and it cannot commit.
To me it seems, the Transaction manager comes to know about the transaction being bad or makred for roll back, container never comes to know 'cause it never saw that exception.
I need help to understand: 1. Is there anything I can do differently to catch it ?
2. Does this sound like a BUG in the implementation and if anyone is aware of a patch?
Any help is greatly appreciated.Hi,
I don't know if this will help but I have sequence generation annotations for the Oracle DB on an entity that runs on the EJB container in a JTA container managed transaction. However, the JPA provider is EclipseLink JPA in this case.
See...

Specifically...
@Id
// keep the sequence column name under 30 chars to avoid an ORA-00972
@SequenceGenerator(name="EL_SEQUENCE_CELL", sequenceName="EL_CELL_SEQ", allocationSize=25)
@GeneratedValue(generator="EL_SEQUENCE_CELL")
private BigInteger id; // Integer is fine

NoClassDefFoundError weblogic.Deployer 7.01
I'm trying to use the weblogic.Deployer utility, but I am not able to get it working.
(I'm on a Win2K server and I'm pretty new to weblogic server...)
Everytime I try to run the deployer, I get this error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/Deployer
I've tried changing my CLASSPATH, changing directories, etc. - Nothing seems to
work.
I know where the weblogic.jar file is. I've tried running deployer from the java
dir, the weblogic.jar dir - you name it!
Can anyone offer some help?Yes. If you can package as an EAR, then you could do the database logic
outside of the WAR, and just redeploy the WAR within the EAR.

Thanks - I'll guess I'll have to redeploy then - it's unfortunate since I'm connected
to a database and I'll have to re-login, etc, etc.
I guess it'll still be faster than restarting the server though....

Ah, now I understand, we're talking about 2 different issues.
That page is discussing deploying applications automatically in the
applications directory. Indeed, there's an issue there with Windows
file locking. However, servlet-reload-check-seconds is not used there.
servlet-reload-check-seconds is done by the web container on individual
servlet classes. It works fine on Windows.
That being said, classes in WEB-INF/lib are not handled by
servlet-reload-check-seconds, only the actual servlet implementation
class.
If you're deploying an exploded webapp, and you want to change a jar
file in WEB-INF/lib, you'll need to redeploy the webapp.
This syntax should work fine:
java weblogic.Deployer -username user -password pass -name ematrix -redeploy

This is the link that talks about windows file locking and servlets
http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/deployment/concepts.html#1007794
Are you deploying an EAR or a WebApp (WAR)?WebApp, exploded
What is the change you're making to ther webapp? ie just a servlet
class, or something in WEB-INF/{classes,lib}I'm changing a Servlet (jar file) in web-inf/lib

Sorry to disagree, but the Weblogic 7 docs state that servlets in
exploded
apps
cannot be reloaded with the servletreloadchecksecs parameter due toa limitation
in Windows.
Tech support has confirmed this.Hmm, can you show me the docs or the response from support that confirms
this. Reloading servlets on the fly has been in since at least WLS3.x.
It works fine on Windows.
This is why I'm investigating weblogic.Deployer - to see if I can
do
it with this
utility.
I cannot just redeploy the entire App because I'm connected to a database- if
I redploy the App, I have tore-login, etc, etc.
I might just as well shut it all down and restart.
Ok, I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're trying to do yet.
Can
you answer these questions, and I can better aid you:
Are you deploying an EAR or a WebApp (WAR)?
What is the change you're making to ther webapp? ie just a servlet
class, or something in WEB-INF/{classes,lib}

That's another reason I'd like to use weblogic.Deployer.
Which is what my latest post was all about.
I tried weblogic.Deployer and it appeared to work, although the Servletnever
actually reloaded.

Thanks for the help, but it turns out the CLASSPATH in my dos promptwindow wasn't
set correctly.
I can now run the Deployer, although it has caused a new problem.
I am trying to reload a Servlet on a Win2K server. I know weblogiccannot do this
automatically due to limitations on Windows.No, it can.
There's a parameter in the weblogic.xml descriptor named
servlet-reload-check-secs. By default it is 1, and it will check
to
see
if your servlet has changed every 1 second. This is very nice for
development. See
http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/webapp/weblogic_xml.html#1038823
If you're making changes in the web application (ie something in
WEB-INF/lib or WEB-INF/classes), you can ask weblogic.Deployer tojust
redeploy the webapp.
Here's an example (java weblogic.Deployer -examples in 8.1 is helpful)
Is your application just a webapp (ie not an EAR file).
If so, something like this is correct to redeploy the webapp:
java weblogic.Deployer -username username -password password -name
ematrix -redeploy
If you have an ear file and just want to redeploy an individual webapp
without touching the rest of the application, use something like
this:
Redeploy individual module in an application:
java weblogic.Deployer -adminurl url -username username -password
password -name ematrix -redeploy -targets MyWebApp@myServer
You should not have to restart the server to make application changes.
-- Rob
However, I was under the impression that the Deployer could do it.
I ran this command with these results:
C:\>java weblogic.Deployer -adminurl http://localhost:7001 -user
weblogic
-passw
ord weblogic -name ematrix -activate c:\ematrixrmi1001\distrib\ematrix/web-inf/l
ib/printLogic.jar -verbose
Operation started, waiting for notifications...
[Id: 5] preparing ematrix for myserver
[Id: 5] prepared ematrix for myserver
[Id: 5] activating ematrix for myserver
[Id: 5] activated ematrix for myserver
#TaskID Action Status Target Type ApplicationSource
5 Activate Success myserver Server ematrix
null
However, when i re-ran the Servlet, nothing has changed.
It apparently has not been reloaded.
Am I doomed to restarting the entire weblogic server any time Ichange
the Servlet?
That would continue to make devleopment a real pain...
Rob Woollen <[email protected]> wrote:
Sounds like you don't have weblogic.jar in the classpath, or you
have
the wrong version.
Can you go to a shell and show me this output:
1) echo %CLASSPATH% (or echo $CLASSPATH on UNIX)
2) java weblogic.version
3) javap weblogic.Deployer

JPA 2.0 in Weblogic 10.0 MP1
Hi there,
Is there a way to deploy a JPA 2.0 based application in a Weblogic 10.0 server?
We have an application that uses Spring 3.0.4, Hibernate 3.5.0.Final and Hibernate JPA 2.0.
Our customer is a major telecom operator that uses Weblogic 10.0 MP1 server with several applications already.
We tried the solutions for in http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseLink/Development/JPA_2.0/weblogic#DI_1:_Alternative_3:_Application_Level_Shared_Library_-InUse
All not working for us.
Thank you,
IoanHi everyone,
I'm facing the same problem: Every JPA 2.0 implementation I tried to use doesn't work for me on Weblogic 10.0 and 10.3. It doesn't matter which JAP 2.0 vendor I use (I tried Hibernate and EclipseLink). I've used the tutorial user13348764 has mentioned and I tried to use one the the earfiles distributed here. I always get this error (for Hibernate I get this message with org.hibernate.ejb.HibernatePersistence):
