Weblogic.Admin - get Servlet Runtimes

Hi!
I want to grab with an application the servlet runtimes of my web application. I know that I have to use the weblogic.Admin utility (Am I right???). Also, I try to find the syntax to access to the property of the runtimes.
For example: I want to know the "Execution Time Average" of the servlet path "/jsp/app/buyer/defaults.jsp/". My Application is "Maxtest". How can I invoke weblogic.Admin to get the value of the property?
Thanks a lot!
Yann

can't understand why, but a reinstall solved my problem :((

  • Weblogic Admin server - Configuration/Server Start/Arguments ignored?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to specify a http proxy for a WebLogic Admin Server in order for an application to access external resources. I've placed the settings into the "Server Configuration / Server Start / Arguments", and verified that they have been saved into the config/config.xml file for that domain:
    <server-start>
    <arguments>-Dhttp.proxyHost=[XXXX] -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080</arguments>
    <password-encrypted>[XXXX]</password-encrypted>
    </server-start>
    However, no matter how I start the server, these settings are ignored despite that the documentation states these should be added to the java command line.
    starting weblogic with Java version:
    java version "1.6.0_19"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_19-b04)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 16.2-b04, mixed mode)
    Starting WLS with line:
    C:\PROGRA~1\Java\JDK16~1.0_1\bin\java -client -Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:CompileThreshold=8000 -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Dweblogic.Name=AdminServer -Djava.security.policy=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server\lib\weblogic.policy -Xverify:none -da -Dplatform.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3 -Dwls.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server -Dweblogic.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server -Dweblogic.management.discover=true -Dwlw.iterativeDev= -Dwlw.testConsole= -Dwlw.logErrorsToConsole= -Dweblogic.ext.dirs=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\patch_wls1032\profiles\default\sysext_manifest_classpath weblogic.Server
    As a test I created a new managed server in the same domain, specifying the same startup properties, and they were picked up during startup.
    If I manually place the settings into the bin/setDomainEnv.cmd batch file for the domain they are also picked up and work.
    Is there an undocumented restriction on Admin Servers that they ignore the "Server Start / Arguments" setting, or is there something else I can check as to why this is not working?
    Many thanks,
    - Micha.

    Umm... I already pasted the relevant snippet out of the config.xml, but following is the entire file. The startup arguments, as specified in the admin console, are:
    -Dhttp.proxyHost=[XXXXXXXX] -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080
    which matches what is saved in the config.xml.

  • Weblogic.Admin utility !!!

    Hi All,
    Will weblogic.Admin utility cause any load on the servers (performance issue), if used extensively to get the below runtime data of a domain
    --> server state using GETSTATE

    --> JMSDestinationRuntime
    --> MessagingBridgeRuntime
    weblogic version : 8.1 sp5
    Cheers,
    Thalla.

    Hi Thalla,
    One of our Production Env is setup to fetch Thread Dumps and Many kind of Runtime Details of <b>WLS 9.2 MP2</b> using "weblogic.Admin" utility Over SSL ...<b>At regular Interval of 6-Minutes</b> From past 2-3 Years we never saw any Performance related issue because of this utility...
    I hope the same behaviour we will find in WLS8.1 SP5 as well.. as we have already tested it in WLS9.2 MP2 ..so i can assure you that In WLS9.2 MP2...It works with Charm without any performance impact...And I expect that It will Just work Extremely great in WLS8.1 SP5 as well..

  • Weblogic admin console fails to start when commons logging is used.

    I have an application that requires commons logging.
    I followed the instructions as per the documentation and other forum entries such as How to use log4j into weblogic 10.3 to add the commons logging jar from apache and the weblogic jar specified. Plus I set the system property for the LogFactory.
    When I start up the application server I see messages as expected from my application. But when I start up the weblogic Admin console I get and exception and the console fails to start. I even tried to put the jars in my applicaiton instead of the domain/lib directory to try to iscolate the issue but still got issues with starting the Console.
    Any ideas on why this is occuring?

    Thank you for replying. Yes that is the first place we looked and tried. Actually to be more specific we followed the instrcutions under: "How to Use the Commons API with WebLogic Logging Services" of the same link.
    Are you thinking that maybe we are we missing a step somewhere else within the site?
    Not sure if I was clear before but we are using Weblogic 10.3 and also tried up to version 10.3.3. And we get the same results.
    We prefer to use the method with commons logging for our application.
    One more specific here what we did on our last attempt.
    1. added this to the startWeblogic script JAVAOPTIONS -Dorg.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory=weblogic.logging.commons.LogFactoryImpl
    2. we put the WebLogic-specific Commons classes, $BEA_HOME/modules/com.bea.core.weblogic.commons.logging_1.3.0.0.jar, together with the commons-logging.jar file in one of the following locations: APP-INF/LIB or WEB-INF/LIB directory or DOMAIN_NAME/LIB directory server CLASSPATH
    We are still not able to get the Weblogic admin console to start
    Any other ideas?

  • Weblogic.Admin BATCHUPDATE bug?

    Hi Everyone,
    I think there is a bug in the Bea weblogic.Admin BATCHUPDATE command: when called
    with
    GET -type JDBCConnectionPoolRuntime
    it wont find any mbeans
    and with
    GET -type JTARuntime
    it will only fetch the values of the admin server.
    These commands do run by itself.
    Maybe there is a lookup issue when invoked with Batchupdated?!
    Has anybody seen this too
    or even better a solution to it?
    Regards,
    Edi
    P.S.: clean N.O.S.P.A.M. if you want to contact me by email.

    Hi Ryan,
    GET -type JDBCConnectionPoolRuntime
    while connecting to an admin server does
    show the runtime information of all managed servers
    in the domain (actually thats the fun part of the domain/admin/manges server thing
    - the admin server "should" do the tricky parts ;) )
    The same request issued with BATCHUPDATE
    wont find any mbeans - sounds buggy to me ;-)

    I don't think it's a bug, I ran the exact same test and it worked like
    a

    you
    are using the server URL of a server the pool is deployed to and not
    just
    the admin server url. Remember runtime mbeans exist on the server(s)
    the

  • Java weblogic.Admin Utility

    Hi All,
    Im using java weblogic.Admin utility to monitor the Weblogic Resources,in local it is working fine .....but when i move the code to production environment im getting the error message "NO Mbeans Found".....please help me to resolve this issue
    Note: im using weblogic 10.3
    commands im using
    java weblogic.Admin -url t3://IP:PORT -username USRNAME -password PWD GET -pretty -type JVMRuntime -property HeapSizeCurrent
    java weblogic.Admin -url t3://IP:PORT -username USRNAME -password PWD GET -pretty -type JVMRuntime -property HeapFreeCurrent
    java weblogic.Admin -url t3://IP:PORT -username USRNAME -password PWD GET -pretty -type JDBCConnectionPoolRuntime -property Name -property State -property ActiveConnectionsHighCount -property CurrCapacity -property MaxCapacity
    java weblogic.Admin -url t3://IP:PORT -username USRNAME -password PWD GET -pretty -type JMSServerRuntime -property Name -property MessagesCurrentCount -property MessagesPendingCount -property MessagesReceivedCount
    java weblogic.Admin -url t3://IP:PORT -username USRNAME -password PWD GET -pretty -type JMSDestinationRuntime -property Name -property MessagesCurrentCount -property MessagesPendingCount -property MessagesReceivedCount

    Hi Ashwin,
    If you do "GET -pretty -type JVMRuntime" then definately u shouldnot get the "No MBeans Found" because every WLS Server binds the JVMRuntime Object.
    But for others "JMSDestinationRuntime" and "JMSServerRuntime" and "JDBCConnectionPoolRuntime" MBeans it is possible that u may get "No MBeans Found" if you try to run the weblogic.Admin utility by passing the URL of a Server which is not a target of any JDBC/JMS systems.
    It means if we haven't targeted any DataSource or JMSServer/Resources to any WebLogic Server then in that case there will be no MBean registry inside that Server. In that case u will find *"No MBeans Found"*
    Example
    <h3><font color=maroon>Secnario-A</font></h3> Suppose I have created a DataSource (DS1) and targeted it to ManagedServer (MS1) but while executing "weblogic.Admin" utility if i will pass the URL of ManagedServer (MS2) or AdminServer then I will get "No MBeans Found" Because that JDBCConnectionPoolRuntime is not available on MS2 or in AdminServer.
    <h3><font color=maroon>Secnario-B</font></h3>
    <font color=red>
    Even if u are passing the Correct Target Server URL to the weblogic.Admin utility .... though there is also another Possible Reason in which u will get *"No MBeans Found"*.....When the JDBCPool is in Disabled State. It Means as soon as a Module JMS/JDBC/...etc gets Disabled...It's MBean Object gets destroyed (Unregistered). SO Please make sure that all your JDBC or JMS resources are Active and Running properly....
    </font>

  • Error starting weblogic Admin server

    Hi All,
    I am not very familiar with Fusion and weblogic but here is my situation:
    Background: I am trying to install Fusion Middleware so I can integrate Oracle Transport Management with E-Business Suite (as per note Integrating Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 with Oracle BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g (Doc ID 1321776.1))
    I just installed the following on Oracle Enterprise  Linux 64bits
    - SOA Suite 11.1.1.7.0
    - Weblogic Server 10.3.6
    -JDK 1.7.0_25
    -Jdev 11.1.1.7.0
    When starting the weblogic Admin server using "DOMAIN_HOME/startWebLogic.sh' I get an error:
    Starting weblogic with Java version:
    Unrecognized option -jrockit
    Error: Could not create the Java virtual machine
    I found a few thread with similar issue (for different versions of SOA suite)  where it got fixed by changing some parameters in the cmd file but I am not sure they apply to my case.
    Is the jdk version compatible? (I can start JDeveloper ok) , if not which one is the appropriate version. If i need to change it, can you provide details of how to do it? (I am not expert on SOA/Jdev  )
    Can you please help me here ?
    Thanks in advance!

    Well, I tested it
    java -version and it shows :
    1.7.0_25
    Java HotSpot 64 bit Server VM
    --> So I guess the problem is I don't seem to have the jrockit.
    I donwloaded it (Rel 28.7) and installed it. During installation it says "for JDK 1.6.0_45"
    Anyway. I let it install anyway and I modified the PATH to point to the Jrockit bin directory. Then run java -version and it now shows JDK 1.6.0_45 and jvm as rockit
    Now I tried to start the weblogic server and I get the same error. it still uses the JDK 1.7
    So.. again.. is this supported with JDK 7 ?
    How can I fix it now that I installed everything using the JDK 7?
    Thanks

    Is anyone had faced this issue.....

    Hi,

    we tried by editing the config.xml file of the domain.
    i.e. by

  • Weblogic Admin Server Doesnt start.

    I have installed Oracle 11g, RCU (WCC 11.1.1.6), Web Center Content 11.1.1.6 (C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_ECM1) and created a domain for Content and was trying to restart the Weblogic Admin Server (C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\WC_Domain6\bin).
    I get the below error:
    'C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\Oracle_ECM1\ucm\idc\bin\\Installer -noCommEnv -platform win3
    2 -dumpFormat %s=%s -show IDC_NATIVE_PATH' is not recognized as an internal or e
    xternal command,
    operable program or batch file.
    Content Server provided no native path information in idcCommEnv.cmd.
    'C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\Oracle_ECM1\ucm\idc\bin\\Installer -noCommEnv -platform win3
    2 -show NativeOsUtils_classpath' is not recognized as an internal or external co
    mmand,
    operable program or batch file.
    The directory name is invalid.
    Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    I have a batch file i create that will start everything up. I don't think i've ever seen your error, but the admin server can be called using the startWeblogic up one dir from Bin, i dont know if it makes a difference but i've always used that one. Copy and paste below into a text file (update your paths and urls accordingly), rename to a .bat and you should be able to start everything at once
    @echo off
    START "ECMAdmin" C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\IMTST\startweblogic.cmd

    START "NodeManager" C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\bin\startNodeManager
