Weblogic and JVM1.3 on NT - how it works

Hi,
To whoever had problems with both these applications - running the server
with wlserver.exe will NOT work (it is NOT ready for 1.3), but it WILL work
if you run the startserver.cmd starting script.

I copied this from an extremely knowledgable iTunes for Windows user in another discussion. Maybe this will help.
In Windows, you can restore much of the look & feel of iTunes 10.7 with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit (iTunes) > Preferences > Store anduntick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album (Grid) view use Edit(iTunes) > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
With iTunes 11.0.3 you can enable artwork in the Songs and playlist views from View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) making it more like the old Album List view.
If you are a Mac user, all you have to do is start navigating through the menu items at the top of the screen to find just about everything that is mentioned here.

HELP!!! I need to configure a static IP and I have no idea how that works

So I can't download anything on bittorrent anymore (it just stalls), nor does my new wireless printer print if I am trying to print anything wirelessly (except for a diagnostic report so I know its not a hardware issue). I did some searching and found that I need a static IP to resolve the problem.
I tried following some advice in forums for manually changing the IP from System Preferences > Network, and after doing so my printer started working like a charm (I know this is the resolution!) however, I was not able to connect to the Internet anymore, forcing me to go back to the automatic IP
I'm running on Snow Leopard, a MacBook Pro, and and Airport Express.

The next step is to return to the same page in AirPort Utility as before.
Click the "+" button at the bottom of the DHCP Reservations box.
Type a description of the device, for example "HP Printer"
Click the Reserve by MAC address button
Click Continue
Enter the exact MAC address for the device
IPv4 Address...Choose an IP that is above the normal range of IPs assigned to your computers, etc. You could use 10.0.1.20 for example.
Click Done
Add other devices the same way. The next device would be assigned an IP address of 10.0.1.21 for example, etc.
When you have entered all the devices you need (you don't need to add your computers unless you specifically want to), click Update to save your settings for the Express.
Now power down your entire system. Then start the modem first for a few minutes, then the Express, your computers and devices. You should be good to go.
Post back on your progress and I will give you another tip.

HELP-I am lost and can not figure out how to work ...

I have a fopster dog that is due to have pups any time. I need to run errands and be able to look in on her. A friend suggested Skype. I have downloaded it to my laptop and my Iphone 5s.
I can call from the laptop and my phone rings. When I click on the camera it says video not avail to cell or land lines ( or something to that effect).
How do I call into my laptop from my Iphone? How can I enable vidoe so I can see her through my laptop webcam?

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your comptuer for just such an occasion. use your backup copy to put everything back.

Since downloading itunes 11.03 I cannot get back movies on my ipad or music and i have no clue how it works anymore after many years of enjoying it, I now have no clue and I'm about as angry as anyone could be. What has happened !!

Good day all, I am new to Mac. Just at a time when I am in the middle of something, my Mac will just prompt me to shut down and restart again. The computer will just freeze, and will not respond unless it is shut down and restarted. Is that how it works

I just subscribed to the PDF export service and i don't understand how it works.

OK, having received no replies, I was successful in getting the PDF to convert from Adobe Reader by rebooting my computer then signing out and signing back in. Now it responded to the convert function in the tools sidebar. The resulting Word file from this particular PDF contained many character recognitions errors, but at least it worked.
I have subscribed to the Export PDF service. I have uploaded a PDF file to the Export PDF panel. I have clicked "view all files" and checked to box next to my file (the only one). Nothing happens. What do i do next? There seems to be nothing intuitive to click or check.
Further, I have attempted to "convert" my PDF file within Adobe Reader. There is a "tools" sidebar which lists my curent file and an opportunity to conver to Word or EXCEL, but it tells me to "subscribe" which I already have. ????

Try to sign in with your ExportPDF account in Browser and use the Web ExportPDF service in Browser.
Then you could start using Adobe Reader X or Reader XI. Open in Reader a PDF file you want to convert. Open Tools panel on the right-hand-side, and click Sign In link at the top - it open Sign In dialog. You need to sign in with your Adobe ID and password and then you could use Export PDF service in Reader.

How to install Workshop for WebLogic and WebLogic Portal?

Hi All,
I am new to Weblogic Portal. I would like to start learning Oracle Weblogic Portals..
Can anyone please guide me, how to install Workshop for WebLogic and WebLogic Portal?

we need to install the Workshop for WebLogic and WebLogic Portal.

1. If this is your first time with Weblogic Portal, I would recommend to download the latest Weblogic Portal Software Rel 10.3.2 from this bottom link. Check Accept Radio button, for windows download windows installer. Its about 1 GB file. This software includes Eclipse IDE, Weblogic Server and Weblogic Portal.

2. During the installation process, make sure at one point you select Custom mode (NOT default Typical mode). In next following screens you will see all bundles checked EXCEPT for Samples. So make sure you check Samples Check box both under Weblogic Server and Weblogic Portal. Then proceed. This will install full Weblogic Workshop (Eclipse IDE), Weblogic Server and Weblogic Portal. This is the good installation package. Also it will install samples for Portal and Server. If you select all default typical mode, it will NOT install samples. You can install samples later on also, but its good at installation time itself you select custom and check Samples also.
3. WLP 10.3.2 uses Eclipse IDE. If you are familiar with Eclipse IDE this should be helpful. Otherwise also, its ok.
4. For learning WLP, in Eclipse IDE, you need to create Portal EAR Project, then Portal Web Project. Inside portal web project create simple jsp hello world portlets and a simple portal.
5. For Deploying and Testing Portal application you need to create Portal Domain using config wizard. You can see this from Start -> Programs -> Oracle Weblogic Portal shortcut -> Weblogic Server -> Tools -> Configuration Wizard.
6. You can start Workshop IDE from Start -> Program Files -> Oracle Weblogic Portal ...-> Eclipse For Weblogic 10.3.2
