Just add "wlfullclient.jar" in your classpath....
To make this jar u can follow the steps mentioned in this link: http://jaysensharma.wordpress.com/2010/02/03/building-wlfullclient-jar/

    This has been a long-running issue with Weblogic that doesnt seem to have a simple

    it since WLS5.1...
    I sincerely hope they come up with a solution soon. Can you imagine what our users

  • (261705413) Q RPCC-7 Does the client.jar file tie you Weblogic Server?

    Q<RPCC-7> BEA is providing client-side helpers in the client.jar file, including
    parsing and SOAP facilities, etc. But, are we saying that there is nothing
    in there that ties the client to the server-side WLS implemenation? It seems
    that putting the interface of the underlying implementation EJB SLS bean is a
    coupling...??? It also seems that by coupling the client to WebLogic classes
    (weblogic.soap.WebServiceProxy|SoapMethod) we are coupling it to WLS.
    A<RPCC-7>: I understand your concerns, but you are not tied to WLS that tightly.
    Certainly, the static client code utilizes the EJB interface that underlies the
    web service but it is possible to invoke the web service dynamically. The use
    of weblogic library classes to invoke the web service just indicates the use of
    weblogic's client API. This client API can also be used to invoked webservices
    hosted on other application server or frameworks. Additionally, other client APIs
    can be used to invoke this web service, for instance the VB client example that
    ended Thursday's presentation. Lastly, the remote interface in the client.jar
    file could actually just be a java presentation generated from a WSDL file that
    represents a C# web service (this is actually only possible in WLS7.0 and not
    6.1 but the point is you do not actually know the inderlying framework or implementation
    andnor should you care).

  • In applet,how can i got the thin client jar for JMS from weblogic.jar?

    who can give it to me?
    and,when i used the weblogic.jar coming from weblogic 7sp2 for linux advance server
    2.1 as the client jar,i still got a error message that Class (.....Stub.class)is
    not found,why?What should i do?

    That approach is a hack and an absolute nightmare. It never worked
    completely. I could not get any support for durable subscriptions etc. You
    can add this (Thin JMS client) as a request for new feature (but it should
    have been available long time ago).

    Hello,
    You might want to take a look at the JMS white paper and asociated
    discussion for supporting thin clients: check the reference on:

  • Client.jar file not being generated by weblogic 6.1

    Hi,
    I have developed a web service for our Internal network. I have deployed the web
    service onto weblogic 6.1 and have been able to obtain the wsdl file. I have coded
    my java client, but to compile and run the client, I require the client.jar file,
    which weblogic should create on its own once the actual web service is successfully
    deployed. wl server is not able able to create the client.jar file and hence I am
    unable to run the client. Could anyone tell me why the client.jar file is not being
    created and is there any workaround for coding the java client without using the
    client.jar file.
    Thanx
    sudipto

    Hi Sudipto,
    I'm assuming that you used the <wsgen> Ant task (in your build.xml) to create this
    web service, right?
    Are you sure the client.jar file isn't in the web-services.war? You can verify this
    by extracting this file (web-services.war) from the .ear for your web service, and
    viewing its contents with WinZip (or the jar.exe utility that comes with the JDK).
    There is a way to create client code without having a client.jar (or a WSDL document),
    but it takes a little more work :-) I have attached a "heavily commented" example
    of this, at the bottom of this post.

  • How to resolve setPrefix() in SOAP(saaj API) with weblogic/webservices jar?

    Hi,
    I am facing a problem deploying a Web-Application in Weblogic containing SOAP related code.
    My environment is as below:
    1) Weblogic 8.1 SP2 server
    2) Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_04-b05)
    3) A method is exposed as web-service
    4) A client program(which is a part of Action class of Webb-app) written with SOAP APIs containing the following section:
         MessageFactory mf = MessageFactory.newInstance();
         SOAPMessage sm = mf.createMessage();
         SOAPPart sp = sm.getSOAPPart();
         sp.setPrefix("soapenv");
         SOAPEnvelope se = sp.getEnvelope();
         se.addNamespaceDeclaration("soapenv","http://orion:7001");
    giving the following error at runtime:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.AbstractMethodError:
    weblogic.were.soap.SOAPEnvelopeImpl.setPrefix(Ljava/lang/String;)V
    at Client.main(Client.java:39)
    I am able to compile without any error/warning all the time.
    This is giving only when putting the saaj(jwsdp-1.4) jars along with weblogic/webservices jars in classpath.
    I am able to run the same application(outside Web-application as a stand-alone java program) without
    any error while not using weblogic/webservices jar in the classpath.
    The saaj jars needed to run without any error are:
    saaj-api.jar
    saaj-impl.jar
    mailapi.jar
    activation.jar
    xercesImpl.jar
    xalan.jar
    dom.jar
    jdom.jar
    I thinks this is a compatibility issue. Please suggest to resolve it.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Returning XML. Client.jar not properly created

    Hi. I'm trying to deploy a web service that has some methods that receive Document
    as parameter and return Document as result type.
    Weblogic generates a client.jar that don't have all the needed classes, like,
    LiteralCodec, and many others.
    Anybody knows what classes I need?
    Thanks

    Thanks Manoj.

    javac can not find the EJB classes. I looked into client.jar file & it
    seems that
    my EJB interface class is not there. My wsdl file shows my changes. When
    I restarted
    the server I did not get any errors so it means my ejb got deployed fine.
    When

    Hi Sebastien,
    The wsclient sample loads only a minimal set of SOAP and related jar files to the database required to get the sample working. The SSL related classes may not get resolved correctly, but as the sample does not use these,
    you should still be able to proceed with the setup.
    Can you continue with the configuration steps and let me know if you still face any problems in bringing up the application ?

    Hi Jane,
    Looks like you have run smack dab into one of the first "myths" about web services
    - "SOAP client software is not vendor- dependent" :-) This is in fact, exactly
    the opposite! And it's not just WebLogic's SOAP client API that has this "vendor-dependent"
    code. Apache SOAP, Apache AXIS, Systinet WASP, GLUE, etc. exhibit the same behavior.
    The difference is that WebLogic's client.jar, is not really a "standalone, SOAP
    client package". It's a "web service-specific" client package.
    JAX-RPC (and the other APIs in the Java Web Services Developer's Pack) is attempting
    to reduce a fair amount of this "vendor-dependency", but there will always be
    some :-) WLS 6.1 doesn't use JAX-RPC, so...
    Anyway, how many "vendor classes" you need, depends on what you are attempting
    to do in the client. If you are just consuming a web service that uses "SOAP encoding",
    then you'll need less. If you are consuming a web service that uses "literal encoding",
    you'll need more. An easy (albeit time consuming) way to figure out which classes
    you need from the weblogic.jar file, to use WebLogic's Web Service client package
    inside Tomcat, is to use the "-verbose:class" option, on the Java command used
    to start Tomcat. This will produce a lot of output, so I suggest you capture it
    to a log, instead of sending it to stdout :-) But, as I said, this is a very,
    very, very time consuming way to determine all the classes you need from the weblogic.jar
    file. Trust me, I've done this before and it took me about 3 hours to find every
    class that's needed! It's simpler just to include the weblogic.jar file in the
    CLASSPATH you start Tomcat with :-)
    Another option is to just use the Apache SOAP package to create the web service
    client. This works wonderfully, if you don't want to use WSDL (Apache SOAP doesn't
    support WSDL). If you want to use WSDL, go with the Apache AXIS package. It has
    an implementation of JAX-RPC, and is pretty close to the Web Services implementation
    in WLS 7.0 (which I'm assuming you'll eventually upgrade to anyway, right?).

    I am running Weblogic 8.1 SP3 on Windows XP Pro.
    The XML is valid for the specified DTD according to my XML editor.
    The relevevant fragment from weblogic-ejb-jar.xml is included below.
    Any help much appreciated.
    Gavin.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE weblogic-ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//BEA Systems, Inc.//DTD WebLogic 8.1.0 EJB//EN" "http://www.bea.com/servers/wls810/dtd/weblogic-ejb-jar.dtd">

    <security-role-assignment>
    <role-name>MarsViewer</role-name>
    <externally-defined/>
    </security-role-assignment>
    </weblogic-ejb-jar>

    I tried using the <global-role/> tag instead - this does deploy without any errors - but when I call the secure EJB method I get the Security Violation error below.
    The DTD says using the <global-role/> tag is fine, albeit deprecated, but the Weblogic 8.1 manual says this has been replaced by <externally-defined/>, so I'm not sure if this should work or not.
    [EJB:010160]Security Violation: User: 'ghughes' has insufficient permission to access EJB: type=<ejb>, application=_appsdir_mars-marketdata_ear, module=ejb-marketdata.jar, ejb=marketdata.MarketDataManager, method=getEnergyOverview, methodInterface=Remote, signature={java.util.Date}.
    So on the whole I'd prefer to work out why Weblogic isn't recognising <externally-defined/> - I've included the full deployment descriptor below - I'm generating it using the latest snapshot of XDoclet - is the DTD specified correct for Weblogic 8.1 SP3 ? (It matches the one specified in http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/ejb/DDreference-ejb-jar.html - but I can't think of anything else that could be wrong).
    Any tips much appreciated as I need to enable an administrator to customise these roles at runtime rather than hard-coding the role - group mappings into the deployment descriptors.
    Thanks,
    Gavin.

  • Sample weblogic-ejb-jar.xml for Resource-ref EJB 3.0

    I am trying to create an MDB that can be re-used under different names.
    @MessageDriven(description = "An MDB that transfers messages from one Queue to another", activationConfig = { @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue") })
    @TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRED)
    public class TransferMdb implements MessageListener {
    private static final Logger LOG = Logger.getLogger(TransferMdb.class);
    @Resource(name = "jms/connfactory")
    private ConnectionFactory connectionFactory;
    @Resource(name = "jms/targetDestination")
    private Queue targetDestination;
    <ejb-jar version="3.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/ejb-jar_3_0.xsd">
    <enterprise-beans>
    <message-driven>
    <ejb-name>TransferMdb</ejb-name>
    <ejb-class>TransferMdb</ejb-class>

    </enterprise-beans>
    </ejb-jar>

    I am clearly missing items in the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml. If anyone has a sample or tips, that would be awesome as a starting point.

    Those tags just declare that you are using our CMP provider and that
    your descriptor is in META-INF/weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml.
    FWIW, you might also want to check out EJBGen. It tends to keep more up
    to date with WLS than xdoclet.

    alright, but is putting the following extra tags. This happens even
    for samples which come with the download, so my tags in java file are
    not wrong.
    My question is, are the extra tags below harmless, or should I
    manually go to each desciptor file and remove them?
    Thanks.

  • Web service client JAR problem

    I have a .NET Web Service and I made a client JAR with the WebLogic Workshop. When I try to have data from the Web Service the WebLogic console shows me this error
    web service invoke failed: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: failed to serialize interface javax.xml.soap.SOAPElementweblogic.xml.schema.binding.SerializationException: mapping lookup failure. class=interface javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement class context=TypedClassContext{schemaType=['http://tempuri.org/JobPosting/FacadeJobPosting']:getCountries}; nested exception is:
         javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: failed to serialize interface javax.xml.soap.SOAPElementweblogic.xml.schema.binding.SerializationException: mapping lookup failure. class=interface javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement class context=TypedClassContext{schemaType=['http://tempuri.org/JobPosting/FacadeJobPosting']:getCountries}
    If want to know in which layer is the problem or what is the problem.
    Thanks

    I'm only just scrapping on the surface of SOAP myself, but I have a little Java knowledge.
    I think your error message is saying, that your trying to send a java object over SOAP to the other computer, but this object has not implemented the serialize interface (where objects are written and extracted to a stream)
    Just a thought I could be wrong - but have a look at what object is being sent over SOAP - is it a custom object? does it need to implement serialize?
    Good luck
