Weblogic domain status always down from Fusion Middleware Console

Hi Guys
Weblogic domain status always down from Fusion Middleware Console but however my Webdomain is Up and running.
At another level, I have the same problem with applications status. These applications are Up and running but visible status down too.
Platform: AIX 5.3 TL8
Weblogic Server: 10.3.2
Fusion Middleware Controle: 11.1.1.2.0
Any idea ?
bests regards
Denis Jeanneret

Hi,
I have similar setup and the WebTier component shows as down.
After some research I have come to the conclusion that some files have been missed in the EM packaging with the Web Center and OHS components.
Am following up with iAS development on this issue..
Check
http://<adminHost>:<adminPort>/dms
Click on Aggregate Metrics > scroll down to opmn_response and opmn_response_component. See if the instance is registered.
In my case, the opmn_response does not have the componentname in it but opmn_response_component seems to be fine.

  • PeopleSoft Target status always down in OEM Grid

    Hi All,
This is my first post here. So pardon me if I make any grammatical mistakes.
I installed OEM Grid 10.2.0.4 in my machine and also installed the PeopleSoft Management Plugin in my OMS and Agent. Now after configuring the PeopleSoft targets (only Application server), I am able to bounce my application server via grid, but the staus of my Applcaition server in Grid is always down. but my application server is up and running fine.
Has anyone faced similar issue like this before?
Any inputs will be Highly appreciated.

  • Fusion Middleware Console

    Hi all,
I have WLS 11g running. The Welcome page is working (http://<hostname>:7001), the WL Admin console is working (http://<hostname>:7001/console) and even my B2B console is working (http://<hostname>:3311/b2bconsole).
Problem is the Middleware console (http://<hostname>:7001/em) is returning a 404. I haven't found where to troubleshoot this...
    Help?

    Hi Alan
When you created this SOA Domain using Config Wizard, most probably you DID NOT add one module by name "Oracle Enterprise Manager - 11.1.1.0 (oracle_common)". My gut feeling is you checked the checkboxes like Oracle SOA Suite (which indirectly sets 2 other check boxes like Oracle WSM Policy Manager and Oracle JRF.
You can fix your existing domain. On Windows from Start -> Programs -> Oracle Weblogic .. -> Weblogic Server -> Tools -> Configuration Wizard, open Conifg Wizard. Choose option to Extend existing domain. Browse and select your domain. Then in next screen check the check box named "Oracle Enterprise Manager - 11.1.1.0 (oracle_common)" and for rest of the stuff just click next and next and finish. Make sure when you do this your domain is NOT running. Once this is extended, restart your domain. Other option is to create a brand new domain and choose the above check box also for Oracle Enterprise Manager - 11.1.1.0 (oracle_common).
On Linux do the same thing except that you have to manually run config.sh command from this folder..\beawls1032\wlserver_10.3\common\bin

I replied in another thread that you replied to but I did check and when I created my domain I did include Oracle Enterprise Manager 11.1.1.0 (oracle common). I'm on Red Hat Linux Enterprise 5. Any tips on what to do? I can't get my EM to come up via the web browser (http://computer:7001/em) as I get the HTTP error -
    Error 404--Not Found+

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.+

i managed to solve the problem. what i did was the following:
    1. go to your middleware home directory and acces the user_projects subdirectory
    2. go to applications/your_domain and delete the folder em if this one exists
    3. go back to user_projects and enter domains/your_domain/sysman4. from here delete the folders state and mds
    4. start the config.sh script and extend your domain only for the EM.
    5. instalation should complete!
    6. extend your domain with other features with previously also needed EM.

  • WebLogic 7.0sp4 - deploying EAR from 6.0 - Console Servlet causes OutOfMemoryError

I downloaded various copies of WebLogic. I'm trying to work with WebLogic 7.0sp4
on a Windows 2000 Server machine, but it's not working well at all. I have a very
simple set-up - one JDBC connection pool to an Oracle database, and one EAR file.
    This should work easily.
I have a WebLogic 6.0 produced EAR file. The EAR files contains about 110 Entity
BMP EJBs, about 35 Stateless Session EJBs, and 1 Stateful Session EJB, as well
as a collection of supporting Java classes.
WebLogic 6.0 imports the EAR and deploys the beans with no problem. AND after
deploying the beans, WebLogic 6.0 still lets you start a WebLogic Administrative
Console to interact with and manage the WebLogic server. WebLogic 6.0 doesn't
    seem to have any problems.
WebLogic 7.0 imports the EAR file, recompiles the beans, and deploys them. If
you DON'T start an admin console, then you can ping the server, ask the server
for its state, etc. - and everything seems fine. Once you start an admin console
and try to get to the login page of the admin console, THEN WebLogic 7.0 runs
    out of memory.
I've already bumped the minimum heapsize up to 350MB and maxsize to over 600MB.
The application never even uses more than 100MB of real memory before it crashes
with an out-of-memory error. Something about starting the admin console is crashing
the server. The console servlet runs out of memory. Why? Is there a separate setting
to increase the Heap Size used by the Console Servlet? I'm already using the "-Xms350m
-Xmx600m" options when starting WebLogic to set aside at least 350MB of heap space.
    I'm including:
    - log files
    - config.xml
    - startweblogic.cmd
    all wrapped up in files.zip

    Rob,

  • Oracle Application Server 10g/Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g

Hi folks, This question related to migration/upgrade of Oracle Application Server infrastructure.
I see that the Oracle has come up with Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g. Is it the next release of Oracle Application Server 10g. I have the following questions. Appreciate if any one can provide answers to the following questions. Please correct me if my understanding of these oracle products is not right! Thanks
    1. What is the future of Oracle Application Server?
    2. Is it Oracle Fusion Middleware(OFM) 11g is the upgrade path if one need
    to upgrade?
    3. Is it expected that expected that customers need(if require) to move to OFM 11g?
    4. Does OFM 10g comes with Oracle Application Server? If not what does
    it comes with?
    5. If it does not, what about customers having applications built using oracle forms and reports? Does OFG 11g
    support Oracle forms and reports?
I understand that OFM 10g comes with Oracle web logic server!
    Thanks in advance.
    movva

To run Forms and Reports in Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g you have to use the distribution "Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer" in the FMW 11g software pack.
The structure of what we used to call "the application server" has changed a bit however, in the following way:
    - In 11g you need to install the Javaserver WebLogic software (version 10.3.3 for the current Forms 11g version 11.1.1.3) first.
In 10g the installation of the Javaserver (OC4J) was part of the App server install.
Note that you just have to install the software, the configuration script for creating a Forms app server instance creates the WebLogic domain (comparable with the OC4J instance) for you.
    - In 11g the Fusion Middleware software installation is separate from the creation of an application server instance.
This is more convenient and comparable to Oracle database and Weblogic installation.
    - The Fusion Middleware Configuration script installs two parts of the product: 1. A WebLogic Domain. 2. A Fusion Middleware instance.
The first contains everything related to Java, such as the servlet configuration file (formsweb.cfg), while the latter contains everything that has less to do with the Javaserver
    - No more Infrastructure server
The Infrastructure server does not exist anymore. If you want to use Single Sign On with Forms/Reports 11g you can install Identity Management 10.1.4.3 (or use Identity Management 11g, and configure separately the 10.1.4.3 Single Sign On) or keep your old 10g Infrastructure installation.
During installation you just have to specify you want to use OID and SSO and it configures out of the box.
Under normal circumstances the same licenses apply to 10g and 11g (as long as you do not use WebLogic for other purposes).

  • Cannot start Enterprise Manager for Fusion Middleware 11g

    Dear all,
Because I want to install Oracle EGRCM v8.0.1 in Linux x86_64, so I installed Oracle Weblogic 11gR1 and SOA Suite 11g first.
After installation successfully, I created a base_domain as default, and can start weblogic administration server ( http://localhost:7001/console ) successfully.
Now I want to use Enterprise Manager for Fusion Middleware 11g. Per "*Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)*", the EM should be available now and the access URL should be http://localhost:7001/em . But when I try to access it, the following error returned:
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    +10.4.5 404 Not Found+
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
So I try to start with emctl in *$MW_HOME/oracle_common/bin/*, the error is as following:
    +./emctl: line 387 /d02/Middleware/oracle_common/perl/bin/perl: No such file or directory+.
I check the path and find out that no directory named "perl" under */d02/Middleware/oracle_common*. So I try to copy the necessary dir from the dir installed Oracle Database 11g ( *$ORACLE_HOME* ), but it returns following error:
OC4J Configuration issue. /d02/Middleware/oracle_common/sysman/j2ee not found.
I try to copy necessary dir from *$ORACLE_HOME* but still cannot start EM.
Please give some advise about how I can start EM for Fusion Middleware 11g, any idea is appreciate!

    Ravi JeggaHello Ravi:
I too like Kenny experienced the EXACT same thing this morning. I was trying to figure out how to modify the formsweb.cfg and I remembered from when I install Oracle9i/10g AS a few years back, that it was on the Enterprise Manager Console for forms (different than the EM for the database). Well that's different than the consoles for Weblogic Server and Weblogic Server for Forms. I ran into the same errors Kenny did, and I followed your steps except that I did install into the domain the Enterprise Manager so when I looked at the config.xml I do see the same code that you posted above. Yet I still get the error when accessing
    http://computer:7001/em
Also when trying to run emctl (I copied the perl directory from the database) and same error as Kenny. Any tips/clues?
I'm running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, Oracle 11g (database, Fusion Middleware).

    Hi Carlota,
Now that the WebLogic and OHS environments are functional, there are some configurations that will be required to set up your Forms environment. Before deploying your own 11g forms, I would test to see if Oracle's test form (test.fmx) can run which is deployed by default in %ORACLE_HOME%\forms. What is supposed to happen is that when you run the URL you are using, Oracle Forms will:
    1. Attempt to download the Java Runtime if not installed already. A Java Runtime (JRE) is required to run Oracle Forms 11gR2. The application will try to download the JRE specified in the formsweb.cfg file (sets up the Web environment for Forms) based off the jpi_codebase parameter (if using IE) or jpi_mimetype (if using other supported browsers). Make sure that your browser is able to download the JRE. Alternatively, you may also download a JRE from the Java website http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html. NOTE: Unless you are running Internet Explorer 64-bit (if you simply run Internet Explorer, this is 32-bit), I would download the 32-bit JRE.
    2. Attempt to start the test.fmx form deployed in the FORMS_PATH variable. This variable is set in default.env, which is the standard environment variable deployment file for Forms (formsweb.cfg also references this file in the default section). If successful, you should receive a page saying "Installed successfully" as well as show you the version of Oracle Forms you are running (ex. 11.1.2.1.0).
Once those tests are work, if you need any assistance with deploying your own 11g forms, the Oracle Forms 11gR2 deployment guide provides a great source of information to help you get started: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24269_01/doc.11120/e24477/toc.htm

  • Fusion Middleware 11g (Forms) Application setup

    Hi,
This is a requirement in Weblogic server set up for a Fusion Middleware 11g (Forms) Application
    I have 2 requirements:
If there is a url say https://abc.world.corp/
    1. I wanted to restrict the user from accessing https://abc.world.corp/admin (this is an admin console)
    2. I want the user to receive an error message if he types a wrong url like https://abc.world.corp0/ or https://abc.world.cor/
I would like to know how to set up this. Can somebody provide a solution.
    Thanks in Advance
    Ram

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for your valuable inputs.
Below line in CRMS_KR.htm was causing the problem because while directly hitting the CRMS_KR.htm we had hard-coded all the tag values which in other case is read from formweb.cfg
    Before:
    *<PARAM NAME="serverURL" VALUE="/forms/lservlet?ifcfs=/forms/frmservlet?acceptLanguage=en-us">*
    We modified it to
    After:
    *<PARAM NAME="serverURL" VALUE="/forms/lservlet">*
Now we are able to hit the below URL sucessfully
    http://scrmskr.apac.nsroot.net:7801/forms/html/CRMS_KR.htm
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Weblogic- Fusion Middleware 11g domain JPS security issue.

    Hello All,
I'm not very familar with the extensive Security "JPS" managembnt inside weblogic including fusion middleware and the domain security policy.
I just wanted to remove the below line from my "Reports Engine" configuration and now I'm stuck with the further below error constantly.
As far as I can tell the Domain security provide is configure to OID (which I don't even use). All teh files .sso, system_jazn... are all available and have never been deleted or changed.

    Hello Kalyan,
I looked at the bug you mentioned and this seem to be related to JSP files as opposed to JPS security. I've searche metalink and may have found some similar and possibly the exact error.

  • Not able to test SOA composites from Oracle Fusion Middleware Control

    Hi All,
I am working on weblogic server 10.3.5
    SOA Suite 11.1.1.5.0
Earlier everything was working fine. Suddenly while testing one of my deployed composite I am getting the following error
Either the WSDL URL is invalid or the WSDL file is not valid or incorrect. - WSDLException: faultCode=OTHER_ERROR: Failed to read WSDL from http://<server_host>:<soa_server_port>/soa-infra/services/default/Project1/helloworld_client_ep?WSDL: HTTP connection error code is 503
And this error message is coming from every other composite. I am not able to test any of the SOA composites from my fusion middleware control
I followed the soa server log also but couldn't find any information regarding this error.
Also I restarted all the servers;admin server+managed servers, after deleting the tmp folder but the error persists
Can anyone suggest me what can be the issue?
    Thanks in Advance!!

    Hi Rohini,
503 Service Unavailable errors can appear in any browser in any operating system.
The 503 Service Unavailable error displays inside the browser window, just as web pages do.
Cause of 503 Service Unavailable Errors
The 503 Service Unavailable error is an HTTP status code that means the web site's server is simply not available right now. Most of the time this is because the server is too busy or because there's maintenance being performed on it.
Try to enable HTTP tunneling on Server that solve your problem.

    Kal

  • Weblogic - Fusion Middleware Cluster - Clarification - 11g

    Hello All,
I've checked the forum and would need just a little clarification regarding weblogic cluster & fusion Middleware + Load Balancing.
    My current Setup is:
    ==============
1 APP Server: Runs Fusion Middleware 11g Forms and Reports + Weblogic + OHS (windows 2008R2)
1 DB Server: Standalone database 11gR2 installation (windows 2008R2)
I've been asked to add a new app server and setup load balancing between the two app servers in order to split the incoming forms & reports requests.
What do I do? Do I install the new app server like the first one and just add it to an existing domain(clustering)? Is there a difference between fusion middleware clustering and weblogic clustering (as in database RAC - the whole idea being failover 24/7 no single point of failure?)
I would appreciate any assistance, and need not great detail, just need to make sense of the whole thing.
I'm already on with the following document: [http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/e13709/toc.htm]
    Thanks in advance
    Jan S.

    Hi Jan
You are almost there. I would like to clarify some points for you.
    1. You already have WLS + Forms/Reports and of course Backend RCU Database that has all the meta data for Forms/Reports. This RCU database is on single server Oracle database.
I've been asked to add a new app server and setup load balancing between the two app servers in order to split the incoming forms & reports requests.
    2. The first question for above requirement is, do you need the new Server on the same Existing physical box or a different remote physical box. If on the same physical box (which I doubt), then there is NO need to install any new software like WLS, Forms/Reports etc. All you do is create a new Managed Server and add it to your existing Domain. NOW, do you currently have a Clustered Domain. If you, all you do is add this new server to that cluster. If not, then you need to add a New cluster and add your old and this NEW managed server to that Cluster. If your existing domain is only single server and is very recent, I would prefer create a brand new Cluster domain with Different Port numbers (you can change port numbers anytime later also). Then add/create one or two managed servers.
    3. If you are give a new physical box for this new managed server, then YES, you do need to install exactly SAME version of Weblogic Server and same version of Forms/Reports server on this new machine. Then create a Cluster Domain with 2 managed servers. One managed server on first box where you will have Admin Server + Managed Server 1. Then run pack command. Go to other machine. Run unpack command to create second Managed Server. Now you got 2 managed servers in a Single Clustered Domain.
    4. Now comes the Load Balancing Part. Never ever expose the individual managed server host and port and WebApp urls for any Clustered Domain. Instead install Apache Http Web App Server which I guess is same as Oracle Http Server. Oracle renamed it (there is no need for this, but it may be company policy). Anyhow all you do is, just install Apache Web Server. Copy some .dll (.so on linux) files to this apache installation. Then update httpd.conf file or weblogic.conf file with details of clustered weblogic domain managed servers host, port, url patterns etc.
    5. All the External Requests will now go to Apache Web Server like http://apachehost:apacheport/xxxUrl. This Apache will take care of LOAD Balancing, Failover etc and based on input url pattern will redirect requests to back end cluster of weblogic managed servers.
    6. The backend RCU database that has Metadata for Forms/Reports NEED NOT be Clustered. If you really have extremely heavy data, then you can have Oracle RAC database. Have multiple DB Nodes in RAC. For each Node, create a DataSource in Weblogic conolse and finally one master Multi Data Soiurce that uses all these single Datasources. But very rarely you really need RAC or clustered database for RCU. So for now, just go with single non-clustered Database that has RCU Schemas.
In conclusion, even though you have Forms/Reports, just follow the standard normal Weblogic Clustered domain Architecture for your requirement. All clustering is at application server level and nothing to do with any Oracles softwares like SOA/BPM, Forms/Report, BI etc etc.
    Thanks
