Weblogic Hangs ( ver 6.1 sp2 & SunOS 5.2 )
Can you please suggest what could be the cause for the below mentioned.
Weblogic suddenly hangs, even we are not able to see the Console page. When we try to shutdown the Weblogic using the shutdown script, it gives an error "Destination unreachable; nested exception is:
java.io.InterruptedIOException: Read timed out; No available router to destination]
Do you need any more info please let us know
Thank you

Hi,
When I run my application on weblogic, most of the time the Garbage Collection
keeps running because of which the system becomes very slow. The java options
are (JAVA_OPTIONS -verbose:gc -ms64m -mx64m). The problem doesnt end here. The
Garbage Collection keeps on running even when there is no activity and the best
part is after sometime the Garbage Collection stops and even Weblogic Stops Responding!!!!
I dont receive any more response from Weblogic. Could anybody tell me what the
reason might be?
Thanks,
Vishwanath
The console output is given below:

Weblogic hangs after running few hours
Hi!
We have encountered the following errors with Oracle when runing weblogic

Thanks!
Regards,

If I use DriverManager to get my connection, will it still inherit the
transaction attributes defined in EJB? Will it auto-commit?
Thanks!

You are deadlocking because you are using DriverManager to get your
database connections. Unfortunately, it is prone to deadlock and should
be avoided.>
An easy temporary work-around is to set your initial number of db
connections equal to your max number of connections. In general, this
is a good idea for production systems, and it will avoid your deadlock.>
You should either get the db connection from a DataSource or use
java.sql.Driver.connect. They are not synchronized like DriverManager.>

Goh,>>>
From the exceptions it appears to me as though the JDBC driver isthrowing
exceptions, perhaps because the Oracle listener is dying. It is alittle
hard to tell what is causing the hang without a thread dump though.Could
you generate one and post it here?>>>

WebLogic 10.3.4 crash on SunOS 5.10 Generic_142909-17sun4vSparcT5240
Hi everyone,
I have this error when trying to start Weblogic on SUN Solaris 64bit.
Is there any known bug for this?
Please take a look over the stackdump:
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (17.0-b16 mixed mode solaris-sparc )
# Problematic frame:
# C [libmuxer.so+0x4e68]
# If you would like to submit a bug report, please visit:
# The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code.
# See problematic frame for where to report the bug.

Edited by: AdrianPaleacu on Mar 30, 2011 3:49 PMa) First check your hard and soft 'ulimit' value, using commands "ulimit -H -n" and "ulimit -S -n"
b) If it is unlimited, set it to a fixed value such as 65536. Example:
ulimit -Sn 65536
ulimit -Hn 65536
(Check with your Solaris Administrator if you need further help with this step)
c) Restart web server.
d) Re-run command "ulimit -H -n" to verify setting was changed
e) Then restart WebLogic PIA to validate that the issue is resolved. -
Multi language problem in Weblogic 6.1 SP 2 with SUNOS 5.7
We are having problem in displaying chinese / korean /thai characters display in

The display is correct.
But if we make fileread of chinesepage.html and make out.println() through servlet..it

CR2008 hangs after upgrade to SP2 when opening a report w/ invalid printer
Hi,
until CR2008 SP1, when I open a report that was formatted for an unknown printer, a messagebox is displayed with that message an I was able to edit the report and/or assign a correct printer to it. After installing SP2 this behaviour is changed in a an "application hang". CR2008 stops responding. When I open that same report in CR2008 SP1 and delete the printer info, the report opens without any problems in CR2008 SP2
THIS I.M.H.O. A SERIOUS BUG!!!!

WebLogic hangs on Sun IDM Upgrade
Hi,
We recently upgraded our SIM set up from 5.0 SP4 - 6.0 - 7.1. Now we are facing a strange issue that weblogic application server on startup hangs indefinitely.
But if we remove the SIM deployment from config.xml then WebLogic starts instantaneously. Also adding the SIM deployment post weblogic startup works abosolutely fine.
Now the issue this needs to be done every time we start WebLogic app server.
We are using
WebLogic: 8.1.4 on SuSE Linux 9.
Please suggest how can we resolve this issueHello,
Could you take a thread dump at that state?
kill -3 <pid of WLS>
Whats the state of the client application
- Exception (PeerGone, No Router)
- or just hangs
Also, you could run WLS using the JRE that ships with it. AFAIK, its v1.3.1_06.

WebLogic Hanging in RedHat 6.0
I've got a strange problem where WebLogic consistently hangs after a
period of inactivity(no pages being requested). I'm running the eval
version of WebLogic 4.5.1 on Redhat 6.0, ibm JDK 1.1.8 with the JIT
turned off. Any ideas of what I should be looing for? The thread dump
is pasted in below.
Thanks,
Chris Fraser

OKHow do you turn off the native threads and turn on the green threads in IBM's 1.1.8 JDK?
I only see support for native threads, and no way to turn them off. Also, you mention
NT, but we're using RedHat Linux.
thanks,
cfraser

Instead of turning of JIT we turned off the native threads and used
green threads; then it worked.
Another VM, which seems to work is SUN´s JDK1.2.2 RC2 (Black
Down gave us some hangers as well. Yes I know the performance of
SUN´s (and Black Downs VMs) are close to miserable (upto 3 times
slower than SUN´s Hotspot under NT measured with JVM98 on same
Hardware with clean installs NT4/SP6 and RedHat 6).

I've got a strange problem where WebLogic consistently hangs after a
period of inactivity(no pages being requested). I'm running the eval
version of WebLogic 4.5.1 on Redhat 6.0, ibm JDK 1.1.8 with the JIT
turned off. Any ideas of what I should be looking for? The thread dump
is pasted in below.
Thanks,

Weblogic hangs after transaction error
Hi,
I am running weblogic 5.1 SP8 on solaris.
During load testing i am getting the following error on the weblogic console
and the server then seems to hang. Any clue ?
Tue Feb 20 17:08:04 EST 2001:<I> <TX> Transaction (TxC (6589854, xid =
982705915157_1572, timeout = 300, txState = Marked Rollback, root = null)
rolled back after 300 sec.
From your error message, it looks like your transaction is simply
timming out after 5 minutes. Why its timing out under load is a
specific problem to your application. You might be getting some thread
locking where one thread is waiting to obtain a lock on a bean instance.
To determine if its thread locking, do a cntrl-break on the console
and look for "wait" in the thread dump. Or, your application's business
logic may just be too inefficient causing a transaction to take more
than 5 minutes, hopefully this isn't the case. If is is Thread Locking,
weblogic really doens't have a solution. Currently we are trying to
employ "read-only" beans to eliminate thread locking on entity beans
that are mainly used for reading information. Implementing "read-only"
is done by setting cache-strategy to Read-Only in the XML deployment
descriptor.
Hope this Helps,

N200 0678 hangs after installing XP SP2
I have just purchased an N200 and the first thing that had to go was vista. I have installed XP and it installs fine until I install SP2 it reboots and hangs on the windows xp screen. I installed the latest firmware , the machine will boot into safemode and checking the event logs shed no light on the situation.
Satellite U300-111
Is this the driver you tried?
Realtek Sound Driver for Windows XP, 5.10.0.5413, 04/12/07
sound-20070828123958.zip
If so, perhaps you installed them in the wrong order. You should install the chipset and then the display driver before the sound.

We have Weblogic running as the Application Server being served by IIS 4.0
We have a problem where Weblogic seem to stop responding once a day. We have
to restart it to get it back online.
Anybody know what we could do to solve this? Any help will be really appreciated.
ThanksWhen it 'hangs', get the threaddump: http://www.weblogic.com/docs51/techsupport/threaddump.html
It sounds like a garbage collection, but 15 minutes is definitely too long.

WebLogic hangs around after shutdown process appears to complete - Message Driven Bean related
On my current project we have some Ant scripts that automatically
start and stop WebLogic. The stop script equates to (not exactly but
close enough):
java weblogic.Admin -url localhost:8001 -password password -username
username SHUTDOWN
WebLogic is start and shutdown for each system module. All modules
use the exact same script for these two actions. Some of the modules
use Message Driven Beans and consequently, since these use JMS, a
JMSxxx.dat file is generated in the jms_store directory. As part of
the cleanup process the jms_store directory and all files in it are to
be deleted AFTER WebLogic shuts down.
The shutdown process works fine in all cases where JMS is not used and
in all cases where JMS IS used but there are NO message driven beans.
However, when there is a message driven bean the server does not shut
down in a timely manner, sometimes not at all (no error messages are
produced), and the JMSxx.dat file
remains locked. Consequently, all of the tests run via the ant script
for modules come to a grinding halt (i.e. environment could not be
cleaned so further tests would be skewed).
Can anyone shed some light on a definitive order of events during
WebLogic's shutdown process? What is the best way to test for the
server being up? I know there is a ping utility for weblogic - should
this be used or should a connection to a JNDI or JMS listening port do
the trick? Any other ideas would be welcome.
Thanks in advance,

Lenovo T61 (Product 6458-W2R): explorer.exe hangs after logon - WinXP SP2
+++ english below +++
- HP-Computer (Desktops, Evo SFF Series)
- Fujitsu-Siemens-Computer (Desktops, ESPRIMO E Series)
- IBM ThinkPad T20/21
- IBM ThinkPad T40/T41/T42
- IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T60
Das Problem tritt nur auf den noch relativ neuen ThinkPad T61 auf.
Wir haben bereits einen ziemlich ähnlichen Fall unter…

[english]
Unfortunately, I’m not fluent in the english language.
We use a few ThinkPad T61’s in our company. Meanwhile, at some ThinkPad T61’s (only ThinkPad T61!) we have a strange problem. This problem appears since the last 1-2 months and it still does exist. This problem does not appear at the same time, it does appear successive. And it appears random. The last case is 1 day old. Meanwhile, 6 ThinkPad T61 are concerned.
All ThinkPad T61 are members of a domain (Windows Server 2003) and do execute a logon script. The logon script contains Batch commands, Kix32 (for mapping network drives and printers) and parts of the Matrix42 Empirum Management software (for software distribution and inventory scan). Group policies will apply. Patches and updates will install on every computer via Matrix42 Empirum automatically. All computers get a default/unattended installation via Matrix42 Empirum Management software (everywhere between an image and an unattended Windows installation). All computers have installed Windows XP with Service Pack 2. As a rule, special software isn’t installed, only Microsoft Office 2003, the actual Acrobat Reader and the actual default players: Windows Media Player, Quicktime Player, RealPlayer, VLC media player. Sometimes, there is installed the Nero 7 Standard or rather Platinum (Special Edition) yet. All IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad use IBM/Lenovo-Utilities „ThinkVantage“ additionally. The problem exists if the ThinkPad T61 is connected to a docking station and also if the ThinkPad T61 is disconnected from a docking station. On every computer exists a registry key which arranges it that the desktop only will be loaded after the logon script did run.
Now the detailed error description:
Sometimes the explorer.exe hangs after the cold start. i.e.: The desktop (with icons and task bar) appears complete. But the computer hangs if you try to click on the task bar or double click on any icons. The computer will only run if we kill the process ‘explorer.exe’ and if we restart the explorer.exe.
We use also other computers with the same installation and the same group policies where the problem does not exist, for example:
- HP-Computer (Desktops, Evo SFF Series)
- Fujitsu-Siemens-Computer (Desktops, ESPRIMO E Series)
- IBM ThinkPad T20/21
- IBM ThinkPad T40/T41/T42
- IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T60
Only the new ThinkPad T61’s have this problem.
We have found a similar case at…

Vielen Dank / Many thanks!I would run System Update and make sure I had all the updates available.
Another thing to try is:
1. Right-click on My Computer and click Properties
2. Click on the Advanced tab
3. Click on Settings under Performance
4. Click on Data Execution Prevention
