Weblogic Installation Problems

Hello
I have downloaded the net-installer to install only some parts of the Bea Weblogic
platform. However, when I want to start zhe installation process, I get following
error message:
current locale is not supported in X11, locale is set to CX locale modifiers are
not supported, using defaultUnable to instantiate GUI, defaulting to console mode.
** Error during execution, error code = 11.
I have tried to set the locale (with export LANG="X") to C, en_US, de_DE, but
it does not help.
regards, Volkher Scholz

  • Shared Services / WebLogic Installation Problem

    Hi,
I'm starting an install of 11.1.1.3 on a Windows 2003 EE R2 and have run into problems with the automatic deployment of the HSS application server. It appears that the config tool cannnot "reach" or start the WebLogic admin console.
    Details:
    WebLogic 9.2 MP3
hyperion has been created as a WL Admin
Node Manager is running on port 5556
Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.
    Thanks
    Mark

Are you just trying to do a standard automatic deployment? If so, the node manager doesn't really have much to do with that -- has anything been deployed on this box already?
The first thing the config tool is going to do is deploy the admin server, then Shared Services; has the admin server itself been deployed at this point?
Check your Hyperion Home directory and see if there's a .\deployments\Weblogic9 directory; if there is, go to .\bin under there, and look for 'startWebLogic.cmd'.
Before running that file, open a command prompt and type:
    netstat -an | findstr 7001
7001 is the admin server port; if it's already running, you'll see a LISTEN entry there. If you don't see a LISTEN, run startWebLogic.cmd, wait for it to start, then run the above netstat command in another command prompt. If you now see a LISTEN command, try logging into the admin server:
    http://<wlhost>:7001/console
    Login is just 'hyperion'.
If that works, great! Try your Shared Services deployment again.
If there is no HYPHOME\deployments directory (this is created when the admin server is deployed), clear out the config tool log (HYPHOME\logs\config\configtool.log), try the deployment again, and then copy the pertinent sections here.
Remember also, the config tool -- in an automatic deployment scenario -- is going to create its own weblogic profile, called hyslProfile. If you already have existing weblogic domains running on this box, Hyperion isn't going to use them -- if you do, and they aren't in use by anything, it would probably be best to just remove them. It's possible that if there's another non-hyslProfile admin server running on :7001 on that machine, the config tool could be getting confused.

  • Installation problem on HP-UX 11.00

    Hi,
I am trying to install Weblogic 7.01 evaluation copy on HP-UX 11.00. After exporting
DISPLAY variable to my workstation, when I run "./server701_hpux.bin", the extraction
of the files is successful, followed by some warning messages regarding the fonts
and then the BEA Weblogic startup screen comes up. But it hangs there forever.
I am attaching the output. If I run "./server..." in text mode i.e. without
exporting DISPLAY variable, although the installation of Weblogic software is
successful, but it hangs at "Copying JDK..." i.e. hangs at JDK installation.
I already have JDK installation on my HP-UX system (1.3.1_02).
If someone knows how to solve this problem, please let me know. Also, as I already
have JDK installation on my system, is it possible to disable JDK installation
    in weblogic installation.
    Thanks in Advance.

    PROBLEM:
    While trying to access

When i look at the Cache location, i see the file f90all_jinit.jar-4cf20c5f-178c08b8(zipped). The size of this file stays the same even though browser keeps spinning. Not sure what is going on. I've verified that the Forms servers is still running on the HP box.
Tried Jinitator 1.3.1.6, 1.3.1.8, 1.3.1.9 and 1.3.1.13. We've also tried Windows XP (IE6) as well as Windows NT (IE5). Same result on all the platforms.
Had spent a LOT of time trouble shooting this problem. Any help is highly appreciated.

  • EPM 11.1.2.1 Installation problem on Laptop (Windows Server 2008 R2 x64)

    Dear All,
I hope someone can help me here with EPM 11.1.2.1 installation problem on my notebook - Windows Server 2008 R2 x65, 8 GB RAM, running SQLServer 2008 Express.
I installed Hyperion Foundation. The installation and configuration went through successfully.
    I am facing two problems:
    Problem 1
When I try to access the workspace through the URL http://hostname:19000/workspace/index.jsp, I get error:
    Quote
    Failure of server APACHE bridge:
No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF.
    End-quote
    Problem 2
Also, the service "Hyperion EPM Server" service not able to start. When I try to start, I get error message:
    Quote
The Hyperion EPMA Server service on Local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.
    End-quote
I tried checking everything but can't seem to figure out what's going wrong.
I have uploaded (1) EPM Config Manager screenshot (2) EPM System diagnostic report (3) EPM Registry editor output and (4) system services listing at
    http://www.mediafire.com/?pr9l1v99w4d9u4r,c3vggxeibqkxbo2,lyzclu2aggbn8qh,8kur9gxal5b361z
It would be very grateful if someone can have a look and help me.
Many thanks in advance for any help / pointers / suggestions.
    - Neil

    Hi Pablo,
Thanks to your suggestion for database, problem #2 seem to be resolved. I am now able to start EPMA Service.

  • Jdeveloper installation - installer problem

I am trying to install jdeveloper (jdevstudio11116install.exe) in a new bea home, in which I have already successfully installed weblogic 10.3.6 with oepe, osb and soa.
After I choose the middleware home directory, the error says:
"The product maintenance level of the current installer (Weblogic Server: 10.3.5.0) is not compatible with the maintenance level of the product installed on your system (Weblogic Server: 10.3.6.0) . Please obtain a compatible installer or perform maintenance on your current system to achieve the desired level".
I tried to install jdeveloper11115 on the same installation, but the error is the same. Is there something wrong with the order of the installation?
If I provide a different folder it is ok, but a new weblogic installation is required, which is not an option. Is there another version of jdeveloper that would 'sit' on the existing 10.3.6 installation?
I found similar posts, but they regard upgrading. I am installing from scratch. I do not want to update/upgrade. I have done this without a problem with previous versions (10.3.4 and 10.3.5) of middleware in the same machine. What has changed?

There is no Jdeveloper installation for 11.1.1.6 coupled with WLS 10.3.6. It comes with WLS 10.3.5 only . You will have to install WLS 10.3.6 separately if you need it.
    Quoting Chris Muir from https://blogs.oracle.com/onesizedoesntfitall/entry/adf_runtimes_vs_wls_versions
Note with the release of JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 there is a subtle change in the ADF Runtime to WLS version pairing. The latest ADF Runtimes 11.1.1.6.0 can run against WLS 10.3.6 and 10.3.5.
This is the first time in the 11.1.1.X branch we've seen a version run on two versions of WLS.
As such if you have a 10.3.5 WLS server or have just installed WLS 10.3.6 you can also happily install the 11.1.1.6.0 ADF Runtimes on either.
Customers need to be careful though as this does not imply the opposite.
If you install WLS 10.3.6, only the ADF Runtimes 11.1.1.6.0 are certified, the 11.1.1.5.0 ADF Runtimes are not (though the 11.1.1.5.0 ADF Runtimes are still of course certified against WLS 10.3.5).For your issue see -

  • WebLogic Installation Log File

Where is the installation log file after WebLogic installation?
I am installing WebLogic6.1. Can I specify where the installation log file should
    go? Where is it anyway?
I searched few directories do not see where it placed the installation lo file.

No, not as I know of. If you are experiencing some problems and you really want to
find more information about a problematic installation, you may do the following to
generate the debug output and you can send that debug info to me:
Windows: pressing down control key at the beginning of the installation until a
    debug console window pops up.
Unix Installer ( .bin files): set LAXDEBUG=true in your environment before starting
your installation. tee or script the output to a file:
    export LAXDEBUG=true
    sh weblogic610.bin -i console 2>&1 | tee buildlog
    Pure java installer (.zip file):
    touch ia_debug
    $JAVA_HOME/java -cp weblogic610.zip -i console 2>&1 | tee buildlog
The upgrade installer should have a clear log to tell you what went wrong in a
installation or uninstallation process. And the installation/uninstallation process
would be rolled back if anything went wrong. The exception is that if you manually
stoped it in some way, which way may catch and process later.

Every software has an installation log. Is that not pretty much standard?
How come weblogic does not have log? If something goes wrong during silent
installation, I would like to see a log file.
Are you sure that there is absolutely no log file for a full installation?
    Dan Bai <[email protected]> wrote:

The log file for an servicepack upgrade installation lives under $BEA_HOME/logs.
Look into the directory corresponding to that servicepack.
Are you experiencing any problems with the full installer?

  • Installation problem on SUSE 12.1

    Hi
I'm a Linux beginner and I am trying to install LV on SUSE 12.1
I've also posted my problems on Lava:
    http://lavag.org/topic/15240-labview-installation-problem-on-suse-121/
The installation started and it looks quite all right, but when I try to start LabVIEW, the application just sits in the taskbar for about 20 seconds and then just disappears.
     Any ideas?
Is there a way to debug to see what's going on?
    Cheers,

    Hi Mike,
Unfortunately, there are no versions of LabVIEW supported on SUSE 12.1 at present. Here's a link to LabVIEW version compatibility with different Linux distributions. I saw from your other forum that you're attempting to install LabVIEW 2009, which is certified for SUSE 11.0 at the latest.

    Please advice,

    Hi sven,
Thank you very much for the quick and direct answer.
The problem was that the user that runs the SQL SERVER service didn't have authorization to retrieve information from active directory.
I've changed the service user, run the sapinst again, and after it succeeded I've returned the previous user.
    Best regards,

  • Oracle database 11g release 2 installation problem on windows 7 (64-bit)

First of all my windows is not genuine, but on my friend's desktop oracle download and installation  worked fine, he chose "create and configure database" options, and it works very well on his desktop, though his windows is also illegitimate. In my case, when I select "Create and configure database" option and pressed 'next",
(Go to my blog to see it with snapshots: Computer Science: Oracle database 11g release 2 installation problem on windows 7 (64-bit))
it asks to select class, I select "Desktop class" and pressed "next". The moment I pressed "next", the whole setup thing disappeared like it was never started. I searched for all possible reasons for why its not getting installed on my laptop, I used registry cleaner s/w,  deleted 25 GB of data to create free space if it were the problem, increased the virtual memory to increase the space for RAM, I did almost everything to get this setup working, but I found no success with the "Create and Configure database" option
    and
    then
I chose a "database software only" option and chose to store in a folder w/o spaces. This way, I got database s/w only and then later I found "Database configuration Assistant (DBCA)"  from windows START button and clicked to create and configure database manually. The steps are pretty much interactive and doesn't involve much brainstorming.
    The values I filled for
    1) Global Database Name :  orcl
    2) System Identifier : orcl
    3) I chose common password for both SYS and SYSTEM
    4) while on Enterprise Manager Configuration step, It asked me to create and configure listener in oracle home, so for that too, I typed "netca" in windows START menu and clicked it. There I added a listener.
    5) I chose a Storage area which was the Oracle-home itself i.e. where our installation files goes , in my case it is : C:\oracle_base\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\oradata
    6) Then after few more nitty-gritty clicks, we are set to go !
Finally to write SQL code and to create your first TABLE , type "sqlplus" in windows "START" menu and click it when it appears. A command-prompt like window appears , which will ask you for username and password, so here they are :
    Username : sys/ as sysdba
Password : (its the one you created in step 3 stated above )
After this you are ready to write your first SQL command.

Is this your solution to your original post at Oracle database 11g release 2 installation on windows 7 (64-bit) ?
Pl be aware that you should not create any custom objects in SYS or SYSTEM schema - you should create any such objects in a separate custom schema.

Lightroom 3.2 Installation Problem on Windows 7 64-bit
I can't install Lightroom 3.2 (German) on my computer (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit).
While copying the extracted program files the following error message appears:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {6435B7C0-E0C8-3EA2-91AE-7640034EAFCE}. HRESULT: 0x80070002.
I found out that other users had the same problem, and couldn't find a solution.
Perhaps it is a Microsoft .NET Framework related problem. But after installing .NET Framework 4 nothing changed.
Thanks for ideas to solve the problem.

Thanks for your advice, Mr. McLion.
I downloaded the 3.4.1 version and started the installation as administrator. Unfortunately the same error message occured again.
Then I tried to install the 32-bit version (although I prefer a 64-bit program on a 64-bit operating system). A similar error message appeared at the same point of installation progress, but with another combination of numbers and letters in brackets.
