Weblogic Integration Business Process Tutorial (10.2)

Hi I'm going through the weblogic integration business process tutorial and when I get to Step 5, "Run the business process" I get a bunch of errors, including the ones below:
s4s-elt-invalid-content.1: The content of '#AnonType_Acknowledgment' is invalid. Element 'attribute' is invalid, misplaced, or occurs too often.
s4s-elt-invalid-content.1: The content of '#AnonType_AckRequested' is invalid. Element 'attribute' is invalid, misplaced, or occurs too often.
s4s-elt-invalid-content.1: The content of '#AnonType_Description' is invalid. Element 'attribute' is invalid, misplaced, or occurs too often.
src-resolve: Cannot resolve the name 'eb:MessageHeader' to a(n) 'element declaration' component.
src-resolve: Cannot resolve the name 'soap:mustUnderstand' to a(n) 'attribute declaration' component.
Has any one run into this problem while going through this tutorial and if so, have you found a solution for this?
Thanks.

The following page is right from the WLI documentation. Are none of these samples useful to you?

When you installed the platform, did you install the whole thing, or just part

Integration, that would explain this behavior. If not, we'll try to go from there...

  • Integrated Business Processes with ERP Systems Textbook

This forum will move to the New SCN as part of our migration to a new platform. Once we make that move, on December 5, it will become a read-only discussion. It will be searchable but will not be part of the site navigation.  If you have questions, please contact me, [Gali Kling Schneider |http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/bc?u=6v4sgatytpg%3d].

    Dear Dr. Word,
I am a graduate student of MIS at Northern Illinois University. I took Dr. Yipeng Liu’s course of Advanced Topic of Information Systems using your textbook - Integrated Business Process With ERP Systems. Your textbook is great. I have a question to discuss with you.
On page 62 of your textbook, I don’t think the accounting process of purchasing supplies is correct. In the example, “GBI purchases office supplies for $500 with a check. Office supplies are expensed; that is, they are defined as money spent rather than treated as an asset upon purchase, even if some of the supplies remain unused. In this case, the relevant accounts are bank and supplies expense.”
Actually, supplies unused are assets of companies. Otherwise we don’t need an account called supplies at all. In the given example, I think we should credit $500 to bank account and debit $500 to supplies account. If at the end of the fiscal year, we used only $300 supplies, then we credit $300 to supplies account and debit $300 to supplies expense account. This is the typical process of supplies accounting.
“Office supplies are expensed; that is, they are defined as money spent rather than treated as an asset upon purchase, even if some of the supplies remain unused. “ This practice actually goes against the Matching Principle of General Acceptable Accounting Principles (GAAP). It’s not a good example especially in textbook, even though lots of companies are doing real business like this.
I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts of my comments on supplies accounting of your textbook.

  • Can any please explain the integration business process between PS and CS

    Dear Guru's
Can any please explain the integration business process between Project systems (PS) and customer service (CS).
Business Process: We do machinery Erection or commissioning, later we do provide service warranty for one year.
How we map this Business scenario in sap.
    Regards,
    Bhanu

basic steps for such a process would be
    1) Use PS functionality for your machinery erection or commisioning work. Once the physical work is completed then close porject
    2) Use CS functionality for warranty and service - set up the work as a functional location on customer site (PM/CS functionality)
    3) Use service order to manage any service calls on the object which could require billing via SD module - bill value may be zero if under warranty

  • Problem with Business Process Publisher and AIA

After installing AIA 11.1.1.5, I installed the Business Process Publisher following the instructions in the AIA Installation Guide at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/aia.htm, sec. 8.3: "Manually uploading reference process models to business process publisher".
Since I could not find the Publisher installation files in the AIAFP install I downloaded from OTN, I used the Publisher installation files from the BPA OTN download (files Oracle_BPA_Suite_11.1.1.4_OTN_1of2.zip and Oracle_BPA_Suite_11.1.1.4_OTN_2of2.zip - I did not install BPA before installing Publisher).
Now when I launch Publisher the login page says "Currently, no exports are available. You can only log in to the administration area at this time". If I login, the new page does not show any AIA contents, only the message "There are currently no profiles available". (I am not sure which “exports” and “profiles” it is talking about).
Evidently something is missing, but I cannot figure out what.
    Thank you,

  • How does BPP (business process platform ) impacts SOA practice in SAP

    hello All,
what is you take on impact of  BPP on SOA  practice in SAP .

    Theo,
Like Ravi says: SAP positions Aris for all bp modelling  activities and the underlying applications for all bp execution activities.
You only mention CAF and XI as types of these underlying applications but you do not mention "normal" applications like SAP R/3 (which handles human workflow by "NetWeaver workflow"). I think NetWeaver workflow (bp execution) will be managed from Aris in the future as well (bp modelling). This also answers you second question: workflow on the purchase process in R/3 is managed by NetWeaver workflow on R/3 (execution level). You don't need a CAF development for that.
The link between CAF guided procedures and NetWeaver workflow in an integrated business process / scenario is handled by XI-BPM.
    1. If you want to support a business proces or scenario by application logic, I think you first look at the functionality of (a) existing application(s), if necessary linked together by XI-BPM. If existing applications do not gather the right information you jump to CAF (picking up running services via XI-BPM).
    2. NetWeaver workflow (see before).
    3. I think you miss NetWeaver workflow here and BI for Business Activity Monitoring. BAM is a coop by Aris and BI in the future I think.
Just some thought. What do you think?

  • Weblogic Integration and Format Builder

I use Format Builder to create MFL file to translate dat file to xml. How can i restrict a length to some like 6.
    I used like this.
    <FieldFormat name='PoolNumber' type='Numeric' length='6' codepage='Default'/>
I Tested with Formatbuilder its not transforming.
but when i send it in Weblogic workshop there is no errors.

  • Which ALE business processes are available?

    Hi All,
Which ALE business processes are available?
    Regards,
    Chanda.

ALE business processes are integrated business processes that run across distributed systems. This can be two different SAP systems, links between SAP and non-SAP systems, SAP and Web-servers (Internet Application Components) or SAP and desktop applications. The links between the systems may be loosely (asynchronous) or tightly (synchronous) coupled. These business processes are release independent and can run between different release levels of the systems.
Many SAP applications offer ALE distribution processes. The following list gives some examples:
Master data replication (IDoc Types - Message Types - Master Data)
    - Material
    - Customer
    - Vendor
    - General Ledger accounts
    - Bill of materials
Accounting (IDoc Types - Message Types -Accounting Business Processes)
    - Links to logistic systems
    - Distributed financial accounting
    - Distributed cost center accounting
    - Distributed special ledger
    - Profitability analysis
    - Distributed profit center accounting
    - Consolidation
    - Treasury
Logistics(IDoc Types - Message Types - Logistics Business Processes)
    - Reallocation of materials
    - Distribution of sales and shipping
    - Product data management
    - Purchasing contracts
    - Sales and operations planning
    - Warehouse management
    - Links to warehouse control systems
    - Links to production optimization systems
    - Links to transport planning systems
Information systems (IDoc Types - Message Types - Logistics Business Processes)
    - SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW)
    - Exchange of data between information systems
    - Web reporting
Human resources (IDoc Types - Message Types - HR Business Processes)
    - Human resources as a single component
    - Payroll results
    - Travel expense accounting
    - Links to time collecting systems
However, these standard solutions may not fit 100% for a company. There may be differentiation in the business process or a required distributed business process is not supported in the standard. If this happens, ALE provides tools that can be used to adapt a standard ALE business process or to create a new distributed business process.
    Hope this is will help.

  • Business Process Integration

    Hi!
I'm interested to know if there are any products available today that can help a
Java developer integrate loosely coupled components into a business process. I thought
of doing this using existing Java APIs but I don't want to build all the infrastructure
myself, like translating from Java to XML and back, dealing with persistence of the
    process context, correlating messages, etc.
I looked at BEA Workshop but realized it is mainly good for creating asynchronous
web services with a callback pattern but they don't address long-lived multi-step
    business processes.
I've also posted my question on TheServerSide.com and was referred to Collaxa's Web
Service Orchestration Server which I'm going to evaluate shortly (http://www.theserverside.com/discussion/thread.jsp
    thread_id=13413)
    Thanx! Jill.

Workshop gets you part of the way there, but truly long running complex
business processes are really in the domain of our WebLogic Integration
    product.

    Hi Jill,
WebLogic Workshop provides you all the flexibility for addressing "long
lived multistep business processes" by using conversational webservices.
Multiple business processses (which could be multiple
applications/webservices's methods) invoked by a client, could be madepart
of a single conversation. All these conversations are linked by a
"conversation id", which could be generated by the client before callingthe
    first method.
The Workshop webservice invoking the multiple methods would pass the
conversation id, with every request which is part of the particular
conversation. If the method is targeting an externalapplication/webservice,
that application/webservice should be able to recognise this conversation
id, and identify the "returning" client. Basically, the application should
have a way of identifying the returning client.
Please let me know if I have misunderstood the point you are trying tomake,
    and your further inputs.
    Look forward to your response,
    Regards,
    Anurag

  • Business process (Integration) monitoring - Solution Manager?

    Hi Experts
I have a requirement here for business process monitoring at my client. The client wants to have a solution for monitoring of few key business processes for example incoming orders. The flow data flow is as follows: third party system -> AS2 -> XI1 ->XI2 -> MQ->ERP. Ideally, all the incoming messages should be processed within 3 minutes of sending by thirdy party system. The basic requirement from business to have a view of the number of messages sent by the external system and numbers of orders created in the system and if there is any message with processing time of more than 3 minutes, it should be reported. Also, if there is any failure in any of the points of failure - the reason of failure needs to be reported
I am thinking of using solution mnaager diagnostics and willy introscope for collecting data from XI Adapter framweork and Integration engine and the ERP system.
    My queries -
Can solution manager fetch the data from non SAP system - AS2 service/MQ etc? if yes, how?
The solution i am thinking of - is it good one or is there any better solution - light weight/performance efficient?
In case i go ahead with the approach mentioned above, would there be an extra licensing cost for installing SMD agents and Willy on different applications?
Can we do a simple reporting i ERP system by fetching data from XI1 & XI2 systems? I understand that it wouldnt give us any details of the Java components or non SAP applications, but keeping in mind the limitations, is it a viable solution?
    Any inputs would be great.

    HI Ethan,
I'm not sure about the BPMon framework in Sol MAn 7.0 if it can be used with PI or not. I remember from teched that the end-to-end monitoring for PI was available only in 7.1 and with SAP PI 711.
From what I know wily gives you information about the status on the system (CPU, memory consumption etc) and not about the message flow so you can still use it but for the technical monitoring set up.
Also in teched I have participated at a hands-on workshop (ALM361 [http://www.sapteched.com/emea/edu_sessions/session.htm?id=542]) where we enabled the BPMon framework to use webservices provided by a non-sap application.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Horia
