WebLogic Portal License Key

Hello,
I download the free trial WEbLogic Portal 4.0, I also downloaded the license key...
I placed the key in the same directory as the portal C:\bea\wlportal4.0
Than I ran the install exe. (Windows 2k --envir) and it never asked me for the
location of the license key? (as the website states)
Then I started the portal server ... and I keep getting this error:
"The WebLogic Server did not start up properly.
Exception raised: com.bea.p13n.LicenseError: No such license: WebLogic Personalization
Server 4.0, Core Server
Any Ideas?
Thanks,

Were u ever able to solve this problem?.. i am getting same error

  • Weblogic 7 License Key for Evaluation

    Hi there,
By default, when you install Weblogic Server 7, it comes with a 30 days evaluation
license key. What happened is now when it is expired, can anyhow I can reacquire
    a evaluation license key?
WLS 6.1 we can get it from BEA website, how about WLS 7?

This is the normal process to obtain the license key.

  • 2004s Portal License Keys

We've installed sp08 via the rapid installer and obtained the Portal_MSS license the other day.  We applied the license via visual administrator, and everything seemed okay.  However, now when we enable debugging, we get a license check error and the system shuts down.
Do I also need a J2EE license?  I thought it was just one license with 2004s...  I don't need to delete the old, temporary J2EE license, do I?
    Thanks,

    hi,

While requesting the License key with SAP, do we have to follow the same method (as that of stand-alone) for <b>Clustered NW04s portal</b> also?
OR is there any other method ?
Which System Name we have to specify Node01 or Node 02 ? or both ?

  • Unique session key  weblogic portal 9.2

    Hi,
Is there a way I can generate unique session key to ensure correct session is tracking between every desktop with different user.
Is this right way to handle session in weblogic portal 9.2?

    Hi
what exactly do you want to do? A session does have an id which is guaranteed unique while the server is running (you dont need to do anything special for this). HttpSession.getId.
Note However normally this value gets stored as a cookie on the browser (with the default name of JSESSIONID) and you must ensure that different webapps on the same domain dont overwrite this value

edition and the Enterprise edition is the WebLogic edition comes with
a WLS 7 developer license. If you already have that, then I would
recommend simply getting the JBuilder 8 Enterprise Edition.
Another different: JB8-WL Edition will only deploy and debug to
Weblogic. There's no support for other web servers like Tomcat, for
example. Now, that's fine if you are specifically developing for
WebLogic, but you should still keep that in mind.

    hi.
The 4.5 licenses are identical to the 5.1 licenses - using the 5.1 to 6.1 key
    upgrade should work.

there is no such discussion. It says that weblogic support people should be able to assist for evaluating the problem. I am evaluating the problem seriously and I can not wait too long for the answer to get this fix. Otherwise we consider with other product such as: websphere or iplanet which we have evaluated the product and happy so far.

    Thanks,

Generally the license files go in the <BEA_HOME> directory which in your
case is the c:\bea directory. There is only one license file and it contains
the keys for all the installed BEA products. This file is named license.bea.
You'll need to edit this file and add in your <license-group> elements for
the portal servers from the license file that you downloaded.
    Good luck,

  • Portal License Install Problems

    Andrew:
In your <WLCS 2.01 install dir>\bin\win32\sethome.bat file (assuming you are
running WinNT), the location of the license should be included in a pair of
    CLASSPATHs, i.e.,
    REM ------------------ UTILITY CLASSPATH --------------------
    SET
    UTILITY_CLASSPATH=%WL_COMMERCE_HOME%\license;%WL_COMMERCE_HOME%\lib\collections.zip
    REM ------------------ WEBLOGIC CLASSPATH ------------------------
    SET
    WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH=%WEBLOGIC_SERVICEPACK%;%WEBLOGIC_RDBMS%;%WEBLOGIC_HOME%\license;%WEBLOGIC_HOME%\lib\rmi-iiop12.jar;%WEBLOGIC_HOME%\classes;%WEBLOGIC_HOME%\lib\weblogicaux.jar;%UTILITY_CLASSPATH%;%WEBLOGIC_COMPONENTS_CLASSPATH%;%DB_CLASSPATH%;%WEBLOGIC_P13N_CLASSPATH%
You don't need to include WebLogicCommerceLicense.xml in your classpath as
long as the license directories are correctly specified for UTILITY_CLASSPATH
    and WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH as above.
If all that seems to be okay, also make sure that you have a license file
(WebLogicCommerceLicense.xml) in the correct place for WLS 5.1 and WLCS
2.01. They should be in <WLS5.1 install dir>\license and <WLCS2.01 install
    dir>\license.
    Hope that is somewhat helpful.

  • SAP License key

    Dear All,
We have an issue with system number in our production system.
We have generated SAP license key for production during our SAP implimentations. But after that due to some major problem we have again reinstall SAP system and regenerate SAP License key. Now both the SAP License key has different system number. Old one license key we have deleted from SAP Supprt portal.
How can change the system number in my landscap as per the registered with SAP Support portal.
Can I delete existing license from my SAP System and reinstall latest downloded key ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nirav

Well you should have ordered the new license under the same system.
Can I delete existing license from my SAP System and reinstall latest downloded key ?
Yes, that is what you have to do now. If your installation number changed, then you will have to delete the old licenses first. Then you will be able to install the new license.
    Cheers Michael
