We are in the process of evaluating WebLogic Real Time. Is there a dedicated NewsGroup for WLRT? or is there any NewsGroup I can piggy back on?

Have some weblogic related real time questions. I am posting them below. I would appreciate you kind replies to them.
if two managed servers is there Same Domain is configured in both servers, but one physical server is crashed then how can you create a domain with the same configuration?

I want to see no. of active HTTP sessions, no. of HTTP requests at any
point of time, opening and closing of a session...etc..

Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.1.2 and weblogic?

My question is: In order to let weblogic 9.2 works in windows 2003 R2 64 bit machine, SHOULD I MUST DOWNLOAD "Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.1.2 for windows 64 bit"? Or I don't need to download anything? Actually, I just download a file called jdk-6u18-windows-x64.exe. Please clear my question, thanks! One more thing, what is the functionality for Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.1.2? Is it a kind of JRE ?

For more information on JRocket Real Time have a read of :- http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jrockit/jrrt/index.html
As far as I am aware you don't have to install the real time product you can installl the JRockit JVM and use that with Weblogic, I think newer version of JRocket come bundled with Real Time which is the JVM and monitoring and analysis tools. There are still standalone JRocket JVM installs available, you can get them from oracle edelivery.
JRocket is a JVM but optimized for use with Weblogic, so you should get better overall performance.

Why can't read access log file in real-time? (Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3)

We can't read access log file in real-time. If access log is rotation to new file so can read access log file but can't read real-time.

what's your meaning? try this command "tail -f access.log".
Threre is a buffer about 8K for WebLogic to write the access info into the log files, so you can't see the access info untill the buffer is full.

Real-Time Decision Server is not running

Hi,
In the Admin guide for RTD Center, during Initializing the Oracle RTD Database Using SDDBTool, one of the step mentioned is "To check, Real-Time Decision Server is not running" but nothing has been mentioned if this is a Service or we have to check in Weblogic or service panel.
So the question is, How do I check if my Real-Time Decision Server is running or not? Do I have shut down OBIEE instance for the same?

SOA real-time design question

Hi All,
We are currently working with SOA Suite 11.1.1.4. I have a SOA application requirement to receive real-time feed for six data tables from an external third party. The implementation consists of five one-way operations in the WSDL to populate the six database tables.
I have a design question. The organization plans to use this data across various departments which requires to replicate or supply the data to other internal databases.
In my understanding there are two options
1) Within the SOA application fork the data hitting the web-service to different databases.
My concern with this approach is what if organizations keep coming with such requests and I keep forking and supplying multiple internal databases with the same data. This feed has to be real-time, too much forking with impact the performance and create unwanted dependencies for this critical link for data supply.2) I could tell other internal projects to get the data from the populated main database.
My concern here is that firstly the data is pushed into this database flat without any constraints and it is difficult to query to get specific data. This design has been purposely put in place to facilitate real-time performance.Also asking every internal projects to get data from main database will affect its performance.
Please suggest which approach should I take (advantage/disadvantage. Apart from the above two solutions, is there any other recommended solution to mitigate the risks. This link between our organization and external party is somewhat like a lifeline for BAU, so certainly don't want to create more dependencies and overhead.

I had tried implementing the JMS publisher/subscriber pattern before, unfortunately I experienced performance was not so good compared to the directly writing to the db adapter. I feel the organization SOA infrastructure is not setup correctly to cope with the number of messages coming through from external third party. Our current setup consists of three WebLogic Servers (Admin, SOA, BAM) all running on only 8GB physical RAM on one machine. Is there Oracle guideline for setting up infrastructure for a SOA application receiving roughly 600000 messages a day. I am using SOA 11.1.1.4. JMS publisher/subscriber pattern just does not cope and I see significant performance lag after few hours of running. The JMS server used was WebLogic JMS

I have our project implemented with the following architechture Weblogic Portal 10gr3,JSR168,Spring 2.5,Oracle UCM 10gr3,Oracle 11g DB,JDK 1.6.
We have a new requirement where we need to change the offers,promos etc based on the user or region.

How real time senario goes in XI ??

Hello All,
How is the real time senario goes in XI, Is that the same as we do in ABAP like Devlopment, Testing and Production? If so how will we transfer an interface from devlopment system to testing and then to production? Can any one please give the steps in involved?
I would feel happy if get the whole details from the scratch.

XI objects can be transported in two ways.
1. File based transport.
2. using CMS.

For transporting XI Objects to another server, there are two ways.
1. Using CMS mechanism, I haven't worked with this.
2. Exporting SWCVs using TPZ format:
a) Goto Tools Menu->Exprot design objects->Select the SWCV
and follow the screens, your TPZ file will be available at
\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import\
3.Copy the TPZ file into the new server folder:
\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\export\
4.Login to new Server XI IR Design
5.goto Tools->Import design objects and select the TPZ file you want to import.
Using CMS you can right click the rlevant namespace, which you want to transport and then in next screen select the required Namespace & click finished. (it may look like it is transporting the whole SWCV, but it allows you to select the required NS alone)
This allows you to transport only the appropriate namespace and not entire SWCV.
This is possible in File Based also
