Sure. I always use the generic installer, that way the install is the same on all platforms:
1 download and install JDK 6 update 10
* http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
2 download generic installer
* http://download.oracle.com/otn/bea/weblogic/server103/server103_generic.jar
3 install

hi i am new to the weblogic server i am trying to install weblogic server in redhat linux i downloaded .bin file from oracle
i enter these commands
chmod +x wls1035_oepe111172_linux32.bin
./wls1035_oepe111172_linux32.bin
The directory "/tmp" does not have enough space for extraction.
Please input another directory or [Exit]: Exit
i got the error message

Can't install weblogic server sp5(apache bridge) on linux

Hi.
I can't install weblogic server service pack 5(weblogic for apache
bridge,mod_wl.so) on redhat linux 6.2,my apache server version is 1.3, and
it work without sp5,when I use new mod_wl.so overwrite old one, apache
server can't start.

What exact problems are you having? I'm using WLS 5.1 SP5 + apache
1.3.12 + mod_ssl just fine.

first of all, unfortunately, WebLogic Server is not supported under Mandrivia (use the right name ;-) ), so you should use Novell Suse or Redhat AS, check this list
Anyway, error code 11 should be related to permission issues, so you should check that the user you are using is allowed to write under the installation directory and under /var/log/
Could you kindly post the log messages?

Weblogic server v10.3.2 for linux 64bit RHEL 5.8

Hi, I require weblogic server v10.3.2 to install on linux 64bit machine. I tried hard but couldn't find this installer on Oracle site for download. Where can I get this version10.3.2 of weblogic server?

Probably only available through Oracle support, try contacting them. The oldest still downloadable version from OTN is 10.3.3

Weblogic 6.1 Sp1 for RedHat Linux 6.2

Could someone tell me where do I can download the above stated? I read the platform
documentation said that Redhat 6.2 can run WLS 6.1 with SP1, yet when I goto the
download page, I couldn't found that, all I seen is the WLS 6.0 with SP2. What
is goind on there?

It's unbelievable:
- Redhat "forgot" to include the IBM JVM in the distribution CDs! I
had to download the Sun JDK...
- After I installed WLS ok, I looked around for the JDK, which BEA
claims is in the WLS zip. package, but there was none!
So, is the Sun JDK included in the WLS download, or what?!

Yes, we don't support WLS on RH7.2. That doesn't necessarily mean that it won't work. We either
haven't tested it yet or it hasn't passed our tests with WLS.
Go ahead and use the IBM JDK for installation - that should work fine.

NIC : 2x 1Gb/s LAN.
We have problem with standart Sun Application Server Configuration on Linux.
Even AdminGui application doesn't work properly.
Some times, AdminGui application returns
Unabled to handle pre-compiled JSP '/jsp/LogDetail.jsp'. Expected pre-compiled classname: 'org.apache.jsp.jsp.LogDetail_jsp'.
Some time on browser we have "The page can not be displayed" exception and so on.
We deployed our JSF web application on this server and have same problems with our web application. In my opinion it looks like Linux or Sun Application Server misconfiguration, but I don' t know Idea where to look.

As you already noticed, RH Linux 8.0 and 9.0 are not on the list of officially supported platforms for Application Server 8.1, but you should still be able to install and run on those Linux versions without major issues.
Follow generic Linux installation instructions, if you do run into some problems take a look at this article which describes some common workarounds, specifically section titled "Problem: My Linux distribution is not on the list of officially supported platforms for J2EE 1.4 SDK":

Test install of weblogic server

I just installed Weblogic server 8.1 on redhat linux, and created a test domain.
I am able to start an admin console from a PC.
Is there a client piece, so I can have a few users connect to this server?

I guess u have some problems with installation. Make sure ur have SAP.NETconnector 2.0 version. and j2sdk installed in your system. may be reinstall .Net connector after uninstalling. I think it will work.

          I have a problem when using XML JSP in combination with Struts tags, allthough I have the feeling that any other TLD will have the same problem.
          The <html:link page="http://www.home.nl">Home</html:link>
          is not rendered properly by WL. The result is:
          <a href="/ipmtoolhttp://www.home.nl"></a>
          Note the fact that the text 'Home' is missing in the anchor. This makes the link 'unclickable' in the browser.
          I have tested this code on Tomcat 5.0.27 as well and there the code renders properly.
          I think its a bug. The question is, has it been solved in SP2 or SP3?

Empty Weblogic Server 8.1 SP1 Repeating Stack Trace

          An instance of Weblogic 8.1 SP1 on our UAT environment keeps on spitting out stack traces even though the only user accessing WL is via the admin console. There are no applications deployed on this platform.
          The stack trace is also intermittent and can't be attributed to a specific action. This is occuring on our UAT environment and on a WL install which is a copy of our production environment. But we don't get these stack traces on production??

Oracle Weblogic Server Installation using the user "oracle"

Hi,
I installed two instances of weblogic server for FMW 11g on linux x86-64. One was with the user oracle and other was with the user orawls, both belonging to the group oinstall. I had installed Admin Server and created managed servers soa_server1 and bam_server1. I have issues in starting up the instance with oracle user and the instance with the orawls user starts fine. I have a separate thread going on for that issue.
I just wanted to know if there were any existing known issues when installing the WLS as oracle user ?

I have no issues with the oracle user. I do it all the time.
