Weblogic server 9.2 How to clear up JMS file store messages
Hi,
We are facong one issue in our weblogic production environment. The JMS file store size has become 7.2 G and its eatimg up almost all the server space. I have cheked through the jms module queues/ topics to see that if any messages are pending anywhere but nothing signifficant I can find out. Now our requirement is to clear up the file store the freeup the server space.
Could you please recommend how to do that in the backend.
Thanks
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
Store files grow to fit all current stored objects, but, as stored objects are deleted, the freed space is re-used for new persistent objects. It's possible your store grew to an unprecedented size because it was temporarily forced to store many objects - in which case you can shrink the file store using the store compression tool described by the other poster.
On the other hand, in almost all cases, unexpectedly large backlogs are generated due to either (A) an accumulation of a backlog of unprocessed messages, or (B) a bug in an application that processes received messages but never acknowledges them, such as may happen when an application creates a durable subscription on a topic but fails to service the subscription.
I recommend (again) checking your 'current' and 'pending' message statistics for each and every JMS Server, SAF Agent, and destination that the store hosts. You can also check your store statistics to see which 'connections' are developing a large accumulation of objects.
Regards,
Tom

Weblogic Server 9.2 - JMS File Store not working as expected.
Hi,
I am facing a problem at the server startup possibly due to huge size of the JMS File Store created.
My question is that our application receives messages via MDB (container managed),
Even after successfully processing the message, the message which is logged in the File Store is not deleted.
How can i make sure that a message which is successfully processed is not logged in the file store?
(considering container managed transactions do not require acknowledgement-mode set in the descriptor, altough i have it specified)

Edited by: user5823244 on Dec 14, 2008 2:59 AMHi,
It seems there are two problems going on here:
(1) Forceful shutdowns should not (must not) normally corrupt the file store. There may be a bug in WL, or it may be the admin is arbitrarily deleting some file store files while leaving others in place (not supported).
(2) "Even after successfully processing the message, the message which is logged in the File Store is not deleted."
This is a strong indicator that there's an application error and the message is not actually getting deleted. The file store size is proportional to the number of current messages (successfully processing/acknowledging/committing a received message frees space for new messages), and is not proportional to the number of successfully processed messages.
I think it's likely that the application isn't actually successfully processing the message but is instead receiving a message somehow and is either:
(A) throwing an exception from within an XA-or-non-XA-MDB or auto-ack-onMessage() and somehow forcing the message into a state where its not being redelivered for reprocessing
(B) specifying a transacted session and failing to call session.commit()
(C) specifying an XA transaction capable receive and failing to call commit
(D) specifying a "client acknowledge" mode and failing to call acknowledge .
For evidence, check the console statistics for the destination after "successfully processing" all sent messages: the value of "current" + "pending" should be zero once all processing completes, the value of "received (aka total)" should match the sent message count. If the "current" + "pending" value is non-zero, then this is an indication there are messages that were not successfully processed.

I am trying to figure out how to clear my massage backlog on Messages for Mavericks OS. I believe a lot of space is taken up by this running in the background keeping recent messages loaded. Especially with all the gif files I've been sending. Is there a way to select all and deleter? Please help! Can't find anyone who looks to do the same just lots of manuals for using the app on iphones and ipads.

How to clear the cache files in folder Temporary Internet Files
When one user opens files such as pdf. or doc. from Portal, the same file will be downloaded into the Temporary Internet Files folder. if another user copied the files out of the Temporary Internet Files folder from this computer and save to someplace else, then we face one security problem.
So my question is: How to clear the cache files in folder Temporary Internet Files?? Can we delete the files automatically when close the files in Portal??
or is there some ways to make encrypty???
Thanks very much!Hello,
this is a basical security problem which should be resolved by the OS standard security setup . No other user should have access to the temporary file folders in the personal directory. The user account must be secure. Normaly your security problem should not be a problem if basic security exists on the clients.
You can resolve this problem if every user has his own account on the client
The users having no administration permissions on the clients
The folder for the temporary internet files is placed in the personal profile folder of the user account.
On default no other user has access rights to you personal folder, this means the client OS is setup correctly.
You can setup the IE that no temporary files are saved (but it reduces performance)
You can enable IE to delete automaticly the temporary files if IE is closed.
Hope it helps.

Hi,
I have 2 weblogic startup scripts (startWebLogic.sh and
startWebLogic_recovery.sh) for the same domain.
startWebLogic.sh uses config.xml file.
I would like to use config_recovery.xml as the configuration file for startWebLogic_recovery.sh
How would I do this ?
I am using WebLogic Server 6.1 on SunOS 5.8 / HP-UX 11.0.
Appreciate any help.
Regards
Gunaseelan VenkateswaranI guess you're using Weblogic 6.1 with WLCS 3.5. I think you're supposed to work with one config.xml for the same domain, and not have a different config.xml.
To start up different applications or EJBs, use the "target" property to control which applications to start up for the particular instance.

How to clear cache for file server
Hi All,
I want to know that how to clear the cache in solaris using commands.
What is the ip connection cache file?
Please share your knowledge with me.
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards
AnupAll this info applies to
Portal version 9.0.2.6.18
I found that there is portlet called "clear cache",
under provider portal tools. This when placed on a tab can clear the cache of that tab for a user.
I found this as a work around for the API.

The above is the jrockit crash dump file..
I am using the JMS Wrapper Connection Poooling provided by Weblogic. When i use Jmeter and do the load testing for around 10 users, the server gets crashed.
I doubt something is going wrong with the Weblogic JMS Connection Pooling, please help me..The problem doesn't look like it has anything to do with wappers per se. The stack indicates that the JVM died when the persistent store tried to invoke a standard Java synchronize operation. JVM crashes need to be analyzed by a JVM expert, so I second the suggestion to solicit help from JVM experts and/or filing a case with customer support. In the mean-time, you can probably work-around the issue by either (A) ensuring you have a recent version of the JVM installed, or (B) temporarily switching to the Sun JVM.

How to clear cache, temporary files, cookies in Firefox five
how do I go about clearing the cache, temporary files, and cookies in the new version of Firefox five. The tools and techniques in the old menu bar were developed over many years and are useful to some people some of the time. When you make major changes and take away useful tools he often cause frustration amongst your users.
You can go to Tools -> Clear Recent History (or Ctrl+Shift+Del) and choose what you want to delete.
Or you can take the long way through Tools -> Options -> Privacy and click on "clear your recent history"
Hope this helps -

How to clear dev_w0, dev_w1 files.
Hello All,
my F:\usr\sap\<SID>DVEBMGS00\work contails lots of file like dev_w0, dev_w1. this type of file have around 40GB. This directory have around 90 gb now. Due to this reason my HDD is going full.
What is this file containing and how i an reduce the size of these file.
Please help me.
Regards
KariyathHi Lal,
these files are the work process trace files one file for each work process.
everytime you restart the instance these file are written to another file as .old
and existing one emptied.
for example dev_w1 will be written to dev_w1.old for one restart and it goes on
for every restart of the instance.
For your problem, some work process is running continuously, increasing the size of the file. Go to SM50 and find the work process. If you are unable to kill there
note down the Process id and kill it from Operating system.

How to clear recently opened files
I'm using Flash Player 11, and I was wondering if I'd be able to remove the recently opened files under "file". Thanks!
(Also, not related to this question, but is there a keyboard shortcut for "close" or "exit"?)What is your operating system & version?
Do you mean the standalone player (Projector)? -
How to clear old class files cached in JVM
JVM stores old class files in its cache even after the corresponding files have been deleted from the database. This causes a conflict if a new file is saved with the same name as one that was deleted earlier causing old data to be fetched and not the new one.
am using the following line of code to load the class file :
Class.forName(className, false, this.getClass().getClassLoader())
please help
Thanks - NWhy are you trying to do that?
Dynamic Classloading(reloading) has a meaing only on "application container" like WAS.
Not appropriate for normal applcation.
Focus on enhancing your application logic and algorithm rather than wasting your brain on difficult and meaningless things. Applying some flexible design patterns wouldn't suffice?
Anyway, Sun provides wonderful and simple custom classloader sample.
http://java.sun.com/developer/onlineTraining/Security/Fundamentals/magercises/ClassLoader/help.html
Anayzing tomcat source(which is downloadable) is another approach.

Is Oracle Weblogic server 10.3 compatible with jdk 1.5.0?
When i point 1.5.0 JDK version to Oracle Weblogic server 10.3 "Bad version number in .class file" error is thrown while starting the server.
can any one help me to resolve this issue?
Edited by: user10643892 on Nov 23, 2008 10:40 PMHi, there.
You are right. The overview page has no clear statement on JDK. However, if you look into the supported operating system links, you'll find only JDK 6 is supported. Example for Solaris:
http://edocs.bea.com/platform/suppconfigs/configs/solaris/solaris10_103.html
Note that there is support for JDK 5 clients, which may be useful to you:
http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs103/notes/new.html#wp1090981
I hope this answers your question.

Problem in running application(using ADF) on BEA Weblogic Server
Hi..,
I am Gunardy Sutanto from Indonesia. Currently, I had a problem in deploying application which is using ADF framework in BEA Weblogic Server(WLS 8.1). I also add all the libraries which were required for running this application. But I found some error when I ran this application. About the error message that I found from log file which is generated by BEA Weblogic Server 8.1, herewith I attach the detail of the error message :
