WebLogic Server Administration Console shows EPM servers in ADMIN State

Hello everyone,
We have a distibuted environment for Oracle EPM:
Server 1 - Foundation Services, Essbase
Server 2 - Reporting and Analysis Framework
We are trying to replicate one of our customer's environment and as part of that we have done multiple installation-configurations and un-installations on this environment. After completing one of the latest configurations we see that all of the managed servers are in ADMIN state. I have tried restarting the services but with no luck.
All the previous installations and configurations worked fine without any issues.
Any advice from the members is highly appreciated.

Thank you Celvin and Rahul.
Both your posts were helpful in resolving the issue. After going through the logs we realized that there was some conflict with data sources. After setting the data sources right from the WebLogic admin console and restarting the services the managed servers are now starting in the RUNNING mode.

I am using EM Grid Control and Weblogic Server is added in the Middleware Targets...when I click on "Weblogic Server Administration Console" to open the Admin Server console it directs me to old IP address in the browser and console does not open...it goes on old IP address...
it gets open when I put the Ip address myself in the browser like:
https://10.254.166.141:7102/conole
it gets open there...means that server is okay and working properly...
I have seen the logs and it is giving the following message:

Hi,
Can you check the EM configuration whenther it has updated the changes made by you i.e. the ip address.
Can you try rebooting the EM application,as this seems to be that the EM has not the changes reflected to it's configuration.

Oracle Weblogic Server Administration Console

Hi,
I am learning ADF thru the online tutorials in Oracle. I am in the following tutorial:
Oracle JDEV Tutorial > Advanced > Using JUnit, Ant and Hudson for Continuous Integration
I have downloaded the required files and followed the instructions in the step 1 of the tutorial but encountered a problem trying to run the tpcinstaller.jar so I proceeded to the next step. I realized my laptop does not have the java program needed to open this jar file. So I installed the following java programs in the following order: jre, jdk, and finally java_ee_sdk-7-jdk7-windows-x64.exe
After successful installation of the last one, I was able to install the tpcinstaller.jar and continued following the tutorial up to Step 2 - 13. It said to refresh the WLS console and it will display there. However, it did not. I checked the startWebLogic.cmd and an error was displayed there. I tried manually installing the otpc.war but it is giving me the following error:

VALIDATION PROBLEMS WERE FOUND problem: cvc-enumeration-valid: string value '3.0' is not a valid enumeration value for web-app-versionType in namespace http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee:<null>
I don't know what to do anymore. I tried playing around the web-app tag of web.xml under JDEV_HOME/wlserver_10.3/server/lib/consoleapp/webapp\WEB-INF as suggested in other forums/posts/articles but it did not solve the issue.

Well, the tutorials are mostly coming for a specific version of software. Have you used the required software in the required versions?

Weblogic Server does not show managed server started when I used the Windows service to start it.

I created a windows service to start a managed server and the services was created successfully and stated. WHen I go to the Weblogic Server Admn console, the server is still showing shutdown. Whenm I try to start it, it returns with error that the the service is not able to start. Has anyone ran into anything similar. I am running on Windows Server 2008R2 and running Weblogic Server 10.3.6 and Fusion Middleware 11.1.6.

For starting managed server as windows service there is no need of nodemanager .
Please follow the steps given in the below doc:

I loged into Admin Console of Oracle Web Logic Server Administration Console
For DeployingP6WebServices::
Created aWebLogicdomain for the WebServices application.
DeployingP6WebServicesintotheWebLogicdomain. giving an error:
In Deployments Tab which is left corner:Deployed a WAR File but while starting all rquests its giving me the java error

check in the documentation http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/indexes/documentation/index.html , select your primavera version, and check document called: tested_configuration, check if you are using the right weblogic and jdk version for your primavera p6 version.

Weblogic Server adminstration console

i installed a weblogic server 10.3.3.0 then adf runtime , on Linux Redhat 5 enviroment
i create a new domain named "base_domain" , i noticed that if i run the domain on the first time using ./startWeblogic.sh and login to the adminstration console its login directly to the adminstration console home page
but if i shutdown the "base_domain" using ./stopWeblogic.sh , then run the domain again using ./startWeblogic.sh , then login to the adminstration console its take around 9 minutes processing until it shows adminstration console home page .
so whats the case?
any suggestion ?

Starting WebLogic Server using Console

This is a simple question. I am trying to start the WebLogic Server
using the WebLogic Console. It seems to be starting the wrong WebLogic
server.
When I monitor the log information in the console I see it starts the
server with a 32ms and a 32mx whereas in my startWebLogic.sh script I
have specified 128ms and 128mx. How do I make my startconsole.sh script
read the correct startWebLogic.sh script ? This is on solaris.
When I ran the script startWebLogic.sh it was able to start up
completely.

Thanks for the reply. Just another question on this-I have added a lot of jar files to the
WEBLOGICCLASSPATH in my startWebLogic.sh script. I presume since I am starting the server using the
console I need to add this information(the WEBLOGICCLASSPATH variable) to the startConsole.sh script
and try running the server again.
Currently its reporting that its unable to find the server classes which I wrote.

It should say something like:
$JAVA -ms16m -mx48m -classpath $JAVACLASSPATH weblogic.Console
Changing the ms and mx values here should have the affect you're looking for.

Directory server - administration console, system server console fail

The server is solaris 10, with the java 1.4, and the Sun One directory server 5.2 was installed from a compressed file
System Administration Server
System Administration Console
Sun Java(TM) System Server Console
All were installed, but there's no connection to the Administration Console on port 390. Isw there any documentation available that will help to troubleshoot this? Any recommendations as to how to resolve the difficulty?

I usually get to the admin console by running /var/opt/mps/serverroot/startconsole.
Its an X application so you will need to have $DISPLAY set.

Mac Mini Server on Yosemite showing x2 Servers with one being redundant

I have a Mac Mini OS X Server that worked fine with setup/name of 'server' on Mavericks, however since upgrading to Yosemite the server has now become Server (2) (or server-2) leaving a redundant 'server' (server) in the shared tab.I can't access 'server' on the Mac Mini server or via the Network (even with connect as) and cannot rename \server-2' to server. I have re-installed the OS with no change.
Does anyone have any ideas what is going on here please and also how I could reset the 'serve-2r' to show correctly as 'server' and remove the erroneous one?

The real answer to this depends on two things:
1) whether you're just trying to do this within your lab, or you want external systems to be able to get to your services (e.g. students be able to access these resources from outside the school network)
2) whether each device in your schools' network have real-world IP addresses, or whether the network uses NAT.
If the answer to 1 is that this is only within the lab then there isn't likely to be any issue - get an IP address for your server from the network admins (which is why #2 is relevant) and you're set. The network guys would only have other involvement if you wanted to get external access working, in which case you've got to talk to them about opening holes in firewalls, etc.
If this is purely internal (or, at least, doesn't need access from outside the school network) then there isn't likely to be any problem. You could even get away without DNS, although it would be nice if you could get a sensible hostname from the DNS administrators (e.g. server.yourlab.yourschool.edu) but even without that there shouldn't be anything preventing you from running a service and having internal clients connect to it (other than policy issues, of course…). For the most part the admins wouldn't even know you're running a server.
Getting a static, non-conflicting IP address that valid for the school's network is going to be key, though.

FPE will now post a warning if any items are present in the Undeliverable archive folder. You could remove the stuck email from "%Program Files (x86)%\ Microsoft Forefront Protection for Exchange Server\Data\Archive\Undeliverable".

When an item (content) was approved (published or current id = 4), I try to change it's status again. But I found "Ready for Approval" status (this status doesn't config in workflow at from id = 4) in the list of "check in content" form. I created another workflow file then applied to an item.

After I had changed the item's status to Approve, I checked out then checked in to access "check in content" form. I found that the list is not map with workflow file.
Workflow file : Retire
In the list : Ready
After many times examination I found that the result of the list in "check in content"(when item in Publish state) follow beginStatus id property. It means when i change value of id in beginStatus tag then the values in the list change base on value of the id.
I was confused is it really wrong or i was missed something configuration. I tried it 3 day but I can't fingure it out
*So sory beacse my Enghlish is not good.

I began with WLP a week ago. When I try default workflow, I see that it doesn't work right
When I download workflow file (default.xml) it like this:

When an item (content) was approved (published or current id = 4), I try to change it's status again. But I found "Ready for Approval" status (this status doesn't config in workflow at from id = 4) in the list of "check in content" form. I created another workflow file then applied to an item.

SOA and OSB servers in Admin State

I created two soa servers in a cluster and two osb servers in another cluster. When I start my servers they go to admin mode and I can't get them to go to starting mode. From what I read, certain libraries and applications need to be deployed to the servers. I did that while creating the servers and clusters. What might have been wrong?

When you created your clusters, have you followed the Enterprise Deployment Guide?

You will have to check the servers log files to see why they are sitting in admin mode, be aware that they will take a while to start on the first time, from the second onwards time they tend to be faster.
Go to your %DOMAIN_HOME%/server/<your-server>/logs and look for <your-server>.log and see if there is some error messages there. Post the messages here and I can help you out.

See Java System properties using WebLogic Server console

If I deploy "systempropertiesweb.war" [1] on WebLogic Server I can see all or individual Java System properties,
e.g. http://localhost:7101/systempropertiesweb/systemproperties?property=java.version results in "java.version = 1.6.0_24"
Is it possible to see the same Java System properties using WebLogic Server Administration Console? If so, how?
