Hi,
I need to know that there is an application (Temenos) which is running on Websphere(Application server). My question here is that Can we use WebLogic as WebServer that routes HTTP requests and response to Websphere?
If Yes, can anyone guide me or give me some link to do that?
Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
    First thing are you seeing any request coming to weblogic server? if not then,
    What configuration you have added in server.xml and virtual server instance object conf file for weblogic integration.
    It is pretty straight forward,
    1. add weblogic plugin libproxy_61.so in plugin/weblogic directory on webserver.
    2. add WLS cluster server/ standalone server information in server.xml
    3. in object file create a new object of type="magnus-internal/directory" add WL specific configuration and then add condition to select WLS object created or make it default object for handling all request.
    Thanks,

  • Fail to configure Apache webserver 2.0.53 as plugin to weblogic server 8.1

    Hello,
    I have installed weblogic server 8.1 with sp2 on windows XP system. I have configured a domain with configuration wizard
    with these settings -
    server name "myServer"
    port No - 7001
    I have installed apache webserver 2.0.53 on windows XP. I have followed the steps to Installing and Configuring the Apache HTTP Server Plug-In with weblogic server.
    After making the installation and configuration when i try to test the server plugin installation i am getting this error
    Failure of server APACHE bridge:
    No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds.
    Please let me know what exactly is going wrong and throw some light how can i proceed.
    Thanks,
    Nanda kishore

    I recd a similar message.
    This message indicates that the configuration setting for the Apache plugin are proper.
    You probably need to check if our Weblogic server has been restarted properly.
    thanks

              They need to use different IP address and the same port number if they are to
              be clustered. If they are not to be cluster they can simply use different port
              numbers.
              On Unix, the ifconfig command can be used to create virtual IP addresses.

    Edited by: user5838027 on Dec 9, 2009 9:01 PM

    Most of the time this error is coming from a wrong psservername parameter definition in configuration.properties of your Webserver. Be sure you can ping the servername or IP address defined, and the port is the Jolt port of the AppServer domain.
    Please, show us what's the value. And also your PTools, Weblogic, Tuxedo version and OS used.
    Nicolas.

  • How do I get the WebLogic server to use the XMLRegistry?

    I'm using WebLogic 7.0.2, and I want to use the Apache TransformerFactory and DocumentBuilderFactory
    instead of the default weblogic.* classes. I've found the documentation, where
    I define an XML Registry as follows (snippet from my config.xml)...
    <Server ListenAddress="####" ListenPort="####" Name="myserver"
    NativeIOEnabled="true" ServerVersion="7.0.2.0"
    StdoutEnabled="true" StdoutSeverityLevel="8"
    StuckThreadMaxTime="14400"
    XMLEntityCache="XMLCacheMBean_myserver" XMLRegistry="CT XML Registry">
    <COM Name="myserver"/>
    <ExecuteQueue Name="default" ThreadCount="15"/>
    <IIOP Name="myserver"/>
    <JTAMigratableTarget Cluster="" Name="myserver" UserPreferredServer="myserver"/>
    <JTARecoveryService Name="myserver"/>
    <KernelDebug Name="myserver"/>
    <Log FileName="myserver/myserver.log" Name="myserver"/>
    <SSL Enabled="true" HostnameVerificationIgnored="true"

    ServerCertificateFileName="democert.pem"
    ServerPrivateKeyAlias="demokey" ServerPrivateKeyPassPhrase="{3DES}gAuVwsR68oAlLdIfO1PAtw=="/>
    <ServerDebug Name="myserver"/>
    <ServerStart Name="myserver"/>
    <WebServer DefaultWebApp="DefaultWebApp"
    LogFileName="myserver/access.log" LoggingEnabled="true" Name="myserver"/>
    </Server>
    <XMLEntityCache Name="XMLCacheMBean_myserver"/>

    Name="CT XML Registry"
    SAXParserFactory="org.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl"
    TransformerFactory="org.apache.xalan.processor.TransformerFactoryImpl"
    WhenToCache="cache-on-reference"/>
    I've played aorund with xercesImpl being in and out of classpaths, etc. But no
    matter what I do, calls to TransformerFactory.newInstance creates an instance
    of weblogic.xml.jaxp.RegistrySAXTransformerFactory and DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance()
    creates an instance of weblogic.xml.jaxp.RegistryDocumentBuilderFactory.
    I don't want to use these classes, and supposedly I can control which classes
    I will use, but it's not working for me. Has anyone been able to get this working?
    Is there anything else that I'm missing?
    Thanks,
    Ed

    I was unable to use the XMLRegistry touse the Xerces2 libraries with WebLogic 7.
    I did find in WebLogic 7 doco that the latest release of Xerces that it would
    internally support was 1.4.4 (http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs70/xml/xml_admin.html#1066271).
    If I wanted to use this version of Xerces, I would need to use WebLogic 8. This
    is not an option for me at this stage.
    So, I used this approach. When starting the WebLogic server, you can assign ClassPath
    entries to an environment variable called PRE_CLASSPATH. This will prepend the
    class path used by the App Container's JVM with the values in the variable. I
    added the xercesImpl and xalan jars to this entry.
    Because the WebLogic class loaders will always defer to the parent class loader,
    it will check this class path first. So now I can directly instantiate the apach
    implementation classes (typecasting them back to their API interface definitions)
    and use them within the container.

  • 64bit weblogic server installation on windows

    Hi,
    We are trying to install 64bit Oracle weblogic Server 10.3.2 on windows 2007 Server. As per the documentation, The installation requires 64bit java installation and then execute the wl_1032_server.jar file.

    Thanks,
    You are right and I've found a documentation below. Did you checked your Environment Variables or try to use full path of 64 bit Java installation?
    How do I select between 32 and 64-bit operation? What's the default? The options -d32 and -d64 have been added to the Java launcher to specify whether the program is to be run in a 32 or 64-bit environment. On Solaris these correspond to the ILP32 and LP64 data models, respectively. Since Solaris has both a 32 and 64-bit J2SE implementation contained within the same installation of Java, you can specify either version. If neither -d32 nor -d64 is specified, the default is to run in a 32-bit environment.
    Other Java commands (javac, javadoc, etc.) will rarely need to be executed in a 64-bit environment. However, the -d32/-d64 options may be passed to these commands and then on to the Java launcher using the established -J prefix option (eg: -J-d64).
    All other platforms (Windows and Linux) contain separate 32 and 64-bit installation packages. If both packages are installed on a system, you select one or the other by adding the appropriate "bin" directory to your path. For consistency, the Java implementations on Linux accept the -d64 option.

  • Weblogic Server 6.1   IIS5

    I'm trying to configure IIS to run an application which uses the weblogic server.
    I have 2 servers. 1 is a webserver runnning Win2K IIS5. The other is an application server which is running BEA WebLogic Server 6.1, & other apps.
    I'm trying to allow access from the internet to the webserver to the weblogic server. I understand that I need to configure certain properties as defined in the ISAPI documentation. Here's what I've done:
    1. Copied the iisproxy.dll & iisforward.dll to the /system32 directory.
    2. Configured the IIS.
    2. Created an iisproxy.ini file in the same directory with the following lines:
    weblogichost=<IP address of the server which runs the weblogic server>
    weblogicport=<port which it's listening on>
    DEBUG=ON
    I keep getting this error:
    Message from the ISAPI plugin:
    No backend server available for connection: timed out after 20 seconds.
    Build date/time: Nov 8 2001
    Please help! I'm desperate...

    I'm trying to configure IIS to run an application which uses the weblogicserver.

    I have 2 servers. 1 is a webserver runnning Win2K IIS5. The other is anapplication server which is running BEA WebLogic Server 6.1, & other apps.

    I'm trying to allow access from the internet to the webserver to theweblogic server. I understand that I need to configure certain properties as
    defined in the ISAPI documentation. Here's what I've done:
    >
    1. Copied the iisproxy.dll & iisforward.dll to the /system32 directory.
    2. Configured the IIS.
    2. Created an iisproxy.ini file in the same directory with the followinglines:
    weblogichost=<IP address of the server which runs the weblogic server>
    weblogicport=<port which it's listening on>
    DEBUG=ON
    I keep getting this error:
    Message from the ISAPI plugin:
    No backend server available for connection: timed out after 20 seconds.
    Build date/time: Nov 8 2001
    Please help! I'm desperate...do you have a firewall between you IIS an WLS?
    try to connect via "telnet <weblogichost> <weblogicport>" from your W2k
    server to your WLS. You should get NO coneection refused or somthing like
    this.
    if telnet works fine, check your ISAPI configuration again. check which
    request are forwarded to your WLS.

    Hi All,
    Any suggestions
    I am using NWDS 7.0 to create my Server Java Proxy for PI 7.1 EHP 1. I need this Server Java Proxy to make a HTTP GET call to a webserver.
    Do I need to use JAX-RPC or I can use the new JAX-WS proxies to make my HTTP GET call.
    Here is my ejb-jar.xml

  • Empty Weblogic Server 8.1 SP1 Repeating Stack Trace

    Thanks in advance for any help and attention!
              An instance of Weblogic 8.1 SP1 on our UAT environment keeps on spitting out stack traces even though the only user accessing WL is via the admin console. There are no applications deployed on this platform.
              The stack trace is also intermittent and can't be attributed to a specific action. This is occuring on our UAT environment and on a WL install which is a copy of our production environment. But we don't get these stack traces on production??
              Here are some details of the server hosting WL 8.1 SP1 in our UAT environment.
              Operating System/Hardware:
              Solaris VM (build Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_10, native threads, sunwjit)

    Both are running on Solaris 7.
    How do I configure these two instances of weblogic to talk to each other? I have
    checked the documentation but there was nothing on this scenario. Any help would
    be highly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    So that means we have to have both apache and weblogic running as a
    webserver in order have weblogic serve jsp request and apache to serve
    static page request
    if we do not want to replace apache as a webserver. Correct ?

    The plug-in connects to WebLogic using HTTP. So, if you want to have
    WebLogic answer HTTP requests, you need to enable the HTTP daemon usingthe
    property that you noted below.

    We are using Apache 1.3.12 as a web server and Weblogic Server 5.1.0 as
    a
    app server. I wanted to turn off Weblogic to run as web server so I setthe
    following property to false
    weblogic.httpd.enable=false.
    After this when I start apache and weblogic and invoke a a jsp page I
    get
    403 (access forbidden error).
    When I change weblogic.httpd.enable=true
    It works fine. Can you please tell me the solution ?

  • Can't access weblogic server from internet but can from intranet

    Hopefully this isn't the wrong place to post but I've searched through many many
    newsgroups to figure out where to post this but can't find a specific enough one.
    I've recently run into a problem with my weblogic server in that it can not be
    accessed from the internet now. This was all working several weeks ago, when
    I had the wl server listening for SSL communications on port 7002. I could access
    the server from both within our corporate intranet (kind of) as well as access
    it from the internet. I say kind of for the intranet in that when I chose to
    setup SSL on the the wl server, I couldn't get port 7002 to communicate through
    our proxy server. After a little research I determined that it would be best
    to communicate on the default SSL port of 443. After switching to 443, I didn't
    need to bypass the proxy any longer, when accessing from within intranet, but
    now couldn't access the server from the internet. The wl server is behind a firewall,
    but I had the network administrators open up port 443 on the firewall. They ran
    a network sniffer and determined that the wl server is sending a TCP FIN packet
    immediately following the last ACK packet in a TCP session establishment. I don't
    really understand what that all means, but it seems really strange that everything
    works great when inside the intranet and I don't get any TCP FIN packets sent
    from the server, but when you try to communcate through the firewall you do.
    Does anyone have any insight into this issue? something else I could look at.
    The network administrators are basically saying it's the webserver that needs
    configuration (even though it worked great in the past when listening on port
    7002 instead of 443). PLEASE HELP!!!

    Got it.  This thread helped!
    Thanks!

  • Trouble invoking webservice created with clientgen in weblogic server 10.0

    Hi Guys,
    I have a webservice's jar file in my classpath(whic i created using weblogic clientgen), I have a simple standalone client(java file) which tries to invoke this webservice. when i try to run my client i get this error:

    I get this error when I try to run the client in the weblogic workshop IDE. I have the webservices.jar, webserviceclient.jar, and weblogic.jar and my webservice's jar in my classpath.
    I tried to debug it, and found that it throws the error when the service_Impl interface gets the Port.
    FYI I m following the steps mentioned in the weblogic 10 documentation for the example given in it
    Any help on this would be appreciated.

    I actually don't have time to dig into it, that's why I pointed you to the sample. The docs also seem pretty clear, have you tried these steps detailed in the docs? According to that, you need your clientgen output plus the following.
    To use the stand-alone WebLogic Web Services client JAR file with your client application, follow these steps:
    +1. Copy the file WL_HOME/server/lib/wseeclient.zip from the computer hosting WebLogic Server to the client computer, where WL_HOME refers to the WebLogic Server installation directory, such as /bea/wlserver_10.0.+
    +2. Unzip the wseeclient.zip file into the appropriate directory. For example, you might unzip the file into a directory that contains other classes used by your client application.+
    +3. Add the wseeclient.jar file (unzipped from the wseeclient.zip file) to your CLASSPATH.+
    Note:      Also be sure that your CLASSPATH includes the JAR file that contains the Ant classes (ant.jar). This JAR file is typically located in the lib directory of the Ant distribution.
