Upgrading to latest version is a good choice. You can also consider increasing the heap size from -Xms512m -Xmx512m to -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m and confirm if this crash was due to insufficient heap.

Need to host weblogic server as a windows service
Hi,
I need to host weblogic server as a windows service, Along with the log file in which I can log the System.out.println statements.
I am having weblogic server 10.3.4
Thanks in advance
HarshalHi Harsgal,
You can use the Windows Service configuration script mentioned in the following link:
http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?page_id=2594#comment-3454
Ans as you mentioned that you want to see the System.out.println statements also in the server.log then in that case please add the JAVA_OPTION in the same script mentioned in the above link as *"-Dweblogic.log.RedirectStdoutToServerLogEnabled=true"*
Example:
echo off
SETLOCAL
set DOMAIN_NAME= Test_Domain
set USERDOMAIN_HOME= C:\BEA103\user_projects\domains\Test_Domain
set SERVER_NAME=ManagedServer1
set PRODUCTION_MODE=true
set WL_HOME=C:\bea103\wlserver_10.3
set ADMIN_URL=http://AdminServerHostname:7001
set MEM_ARGS=-Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -Dweblogic.log.RedirectStdoutToServerLogEnabled=true
call "%WL_HOME%\server\bin\installSvc.cmd"
Topic: Managed Server As Windows Service
http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=680
Also if you want to create a Separate STDOUT and STDERR file to collect your System.out.println Statements then please add the following MEM_ARGS as well inside your script:
JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dweblogic.Stdout=D:\bea_home\wlserver_10.0.2\user_projects\domains\syncro_domain\ASstdout.txt -Dweblogic.Stderr=D:\bea_home\wlserver_10.0.2\user_projects\domains\syncro_domain\ASstderr.txtThanks

Hello,
I am using Azure Python SDK to perform calls to ServiceManagement APIs.
I have a .publishsettings file generated for my account which includes an encoded version of my X509 certificate and all of my subscription IDs.
How can I retrieve/compute an X509 certificate's thumbprint in Python?
Following is the code snippet that helps us do it in .Net.
Is there a similar approach to do it in Python?
var publishSettingsFile = @"C:\temp\CORP DPE Account-11-16-2011-credentials.publishsettings";
XDocument xdoc = XDocument.Load(publishSettingsFile);
var managementCertbase64string = xdoc.Descendants("PublishProfile").Single().Attribute("ManagementCertificate").Value;
var importedCert = new X509Certificate2(Convert.FromBase64String(managementCertbase64string));
thumbprint = importedCert.Thumbprint;
Once I have the thumbprint, how can I use that thumbprint to access Service Management APIs from Python SDK?
Thank you in Advance!

Creating Managed Server for Weblogic that comes with Oracle Service Bus
I've installed Oracle Service Bus 10.3.
Weblogic Server 10.3 comes bundled with OSB 10.3.
Everything is working fine in the Admin Server.
But when I create a Managed server and try to start it, I get the following exception and server doesn't start :
####<Nov 10, 2009 10:24:32 AM IST> <Critical> <Security> <iflmud6dlb5jn> <OSBManagedServer2> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1257828872747> <BEA-090403> <Authentication for user weblogic denied>

I've tried changing the boot.properties file and given clear text username and password, but even this did not change the exception.
Are there any other security concerns that are to be taken care of while configuring Managed Server for Oracle Service Bus?
Kindly help. How are you starting the manageserver. Is it using command line or using NodeManager from Weblogic console of admin server. Most of the times we start managed server using yourDomain/bin/startManagedWebLogic.cmd (.sh).
startManagedWebLogic nameOfYourManagedServer adminURL(Ex: http://host:port).
If you created a managed server at the time of creation of domain itself using custom option, then under your domain root folder, you should see a file named like "startManagedWebLogic_readme.txt" that kind of gives the same above command.
If you added the managed server later on, to an existing single server domain, then you can use the above command.

Access Oracle Service Bus objects from within a PBL program
Followed instructions from Studio Reference documentation for cataloging Oracle Service Bus objects and embedded sample code but encountered http 404 not found error. Is there anyway to trace the call made to the Service Bus? I change the log message severity level for Workspace application to debug but the call is not logged. The following is the output from the log:

Edited by: user13282066 on Jul 29, 2010 4:37 AMIt looks like you are mixing SP1 and SP4 components in the server classpath.
Leaving aside the issue of supporting WL 6.1 ( nearly 10 years old! ), you should look at the classpath which will be listed in the server's log file when it starts up.
If this error has just recently started, has there been a modification to the startup scripts, or has there been a new patch installed? -

Hi
I forgot to add in my prevoius msg that I am able to start the weblogic
server
from the cmd propt with out any error. The problem is only when I try
to start
it as a windows service .
Thanks
babu
Have you resolved this yet?
I had the same problem, and read that if I add the
"-password <password>" argument to the "beasvc.exe" command
in the "intallNtService.cmd" script, the problem was resolved.
To do this, you will have to use the "uninstallNtServer.cmd"
script to uninstall the service, edit the install script to
add the "-password <password>" argument to the beasvc.exe
command, then run the "installNtService.cmd" script to install
the service.
For me, it now works.
Good luck. -
OSB-Weblogic server crashes while starting
Hi,
I am not able to start the weblogic server as it is getting crashed at the time of starting only
and i am not able to know the reason also.
The command prompt closes and i am not able to check the log as well.(where to check the log??)
Nothing is showing in log file.(Not sure whether i am checking the right log file)
But somehow i got to know the error is because of the memory heap.
Error occured during initilzation of VM
Could not reserve enough space for memory heap.
could not create the java virtual machine.
Initially while installing i got an error
Checking swap space: 0 MB available, 500 MB required. >>>FAILED
Does this thing have similarity between them.
As i am new to Oracle can you all please help me onto this.
I have been through many forums and they all say that you have to incerease the meory heap. But i dont know how to go for it.
Pleaze help
Thanks alotError occurred during initialization of VM

WebLogic Server 6.0sp2 Windows Service Failures
I am trying to run WebLogic (with SSL) as a service instead of a task. The installNTService
cmd script runs ok but when the service is started it fails without any error
messages. The service runs for about 5 seconds. I cannot find any error messages
in the log. Any ideas of where to start looking?
Thanks,

Server crash during access addressbook
Hello,
the server crashed during an access to address book from from an iPhone or an iPad.
Can anyone help me please with diesem problem?`
JoergDies ist wahrscheinlich ein anderes problem.
Address book sees widespread use, so crashes are unlikely.
This is probably a disk error, or a memory error, processor error, or a data corruption in an existing system data file or program file, quite possibly related to networking or address book.
Run the hardware diagnostics. I might well try a reinstallation.
If this is a new system and still under original or AppleCare warranty, contact Apple support. -

Weblogic Server 8.1 with Service Pack 6 will support for ALSB?
Hi,
Can any body tell me, whether the ALSB is compatible with Weblogic Server 8.1?
We have requirement to integrate ALDSP and ALESB using Weblogic Server 8.1.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
VenI'd agree with Mike, go for the latest versions (from wls 10 onwards), we're using ALDSP 3.2, ALSB 3.0 and WLS 10mp1. I think you'd have to go back to ALSB 2.5 to run on WLS 8.1 and this doesn't have the performance or functionality. (we started with ALDSP 2.5/WLS 8.1 and ALSB 2.6/WLS 9.2)

Cannot Start Service Bus Domain from ANT script
Hi,
I am preparing a script which buils service bus domain using wlst script and then makes a jar file of the newly build domain and transfer it to the target location where it need to run.
Once the jar file is in target location is jar is expanded in a folder.
The above mentioned process if working fine. If i try to start the domain from that location either by double clicking startWebLogic.cmd or from dos prompt it does start the domain wihtout any error.
However if i try to start the domain from with the same ANT script either using <wlserver> or <java classname="weblogic.WLST"> using startServer ('AdminServer','mydomainname','weblogic','weblogic','t3://localhost:7001') the domain startup does start but failes with same weblogic.management.deployment exception.
complaining about all alsb specific applications error i.e.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.bea.wli.sb.init.MarkerAppListener/com.bea.wli.sb.init.FrameworkStarter ..... under weblogic.management.deloymentexception.
had anyone manager to start domain like this? any help?
thanks
salmanI faced a similar issue when all ALSB specific applications were failing with ClassNot Found error when the managed servers were started using node manager. This was fixed by setting up the right Server Classpath for the WLS server.
The issue was fixed after setting up the CLASSPATH to use when starting up the server as below, where E:/APPS/STAGE/OSB103 is the BEA_HOME
