Weblogic Server6.1 administration console

Hi,
I have just installed weblogic6.1 with sp2 on windows 2000.I am not able to
view the adminstration console. The dialog box for username and password
appears, but once i click OK the browser window disppears. Can someone help me
with this??
Thanks
Ramya

Hi.
Hmm, hard to say what this could be. Are there any error messages in the WLS
log?
The console uses an applet - can you open the java plugin console and look for
errors there when you invoke the console?
You might also try using a different browser, or try installing the JDK 1.3
plugin.

Michael

    hi,
I am using EM Grid Control and Weblogic Server is added in the Middleware Targets...when I click on "Weblogic Server Administration Console" to open the Admin Server console it directs me to old IP address in the browser and console does not open...it goes on old IP address...
it gets open when I put the Ip address myself in the browser like:
    https://10.254.166.141:7102/conole
it gets open there...means that server is okay and working properly...
I have seen the logs and it is giving the following message:

    Hi,
Can you check the EM configuration whenther it has updated the changes made by you i.e. the ip address.
Can you try rebooting the EM application,as this seems to be that the EM has not the changes reflected to it's configuration.
    Hope this helps

  • Weblogic Server not visible in Administration Console

    Hello,
Forgive me if this is the incorrect location for this question but I could not find a relevant group to post this issue relating to the Administration Console, as it APPEARS.
We have a three node Weblogic 8.1 SP3 cluster in our environment and the issue we are facing is that one of the three Weblogic Servers (the other two have no issue) is not displaying any information about that server in the admin console (i.e. in "Monitoring"-> active thread queues, connections, performance stats etc. are not displayed). However, the BeaSVC service is running on that server and the server IS serving requests, as confirmed by the weblogic and application logs. It is as if the admin server cannot communicate or thinks the server is in a 'down' state, hence the behavior of not seeing the threads on the server.
Any suggestions, thoughts or ideas in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated!
    Many Thanks and Regards,
    -Nader

    Hello Nadar,
Tell me how are you starting server in the cluster, through nodemanager or commnadline.

  • Authetication failed while logging administration console of weblogic.

    Hello everyone!
I am searching for someone who is successfully using Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.3. I have installed the server but I am not able to login my administration console, even after supplying with correct username and password. Its not accepting it. Please help me out, there should be someone using it around the world.
    Regards to everyone,
    Ajeet

    Hi Ajeet
If you are trying to access the console for the Default Integrated Weblogic Server that comes with JDeveloper IDE, then try weblogic/weblogic1. This works for me on my side.
Now for any Domain that you created using Config Wizard, then you have to use the same username/password to access the console, that you give while domain creation process. If you forget this, they follow Jays instructions to reset the credentials.

Installation faced lot of FIXER problems finally we fixed all the required fixers and installation and configuration compleated without any error.
In the last page of Configuration summary we got the Admin consloe and Em console address.
When i try to connect those from my system using IE it says "internet explorer cannot Display the webpage" error comes.

    Regards,
    Paja

    Hi Paja,
Please check any weblogic process are running by using.
    ps -ef | grep java
    use " *kill -9 < pid >* "
    Now under %Domain_Home%/ bin folder.
    you will find startWebLogic.sh file.
start this one using following way.
    ./startWebLogic.sh
Once you provide your username and password
Check your last logging like this.
    *<Notice> <Server> <BEA-002613> <Channel "Default" is now listening on 10.17.62.212:7001 for protocols iiop, t3, ldap, s*
in this case 10.17.62.212 is my IP address or listen address and 7001 is my http port.
if you enable SSL list port it will also show you that one.
now try to access console using http://<IP address>:port/console
    provide username and password
Here we go to start your weblogic server.
Now in %Domain_Home%/ bin folder you will find one more .sh file says stopWebLogic.sh.
this will help you to stop the server.
Hope this is easy way to start and stop your server.

  • Two Administrator Consoles - problem with logging

    Hi Everybody,
This is my first post on this really great board, so first of all I would like say HELLO.
    Now, my problem is.
I have got two Administrator Consoles on one machine to manage two domains.
When I logging to one Admin Console using web browser, logs me out of the other one.
I use the same name and password for both consoles.
Please help me understand what I doing wrong.
    Thank You,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
Welcome to OTN forums your views and ideas are really appreciated here.
    Coming to you problem.
As you mentioned that you have two different domain running on same Machine but you cannot access both Admin console at one time because of having same port number on both port.
Weblogic Admin Server comes with default called 7001.
Now Try to change the Admin Server port to different one eg: 7003 and then you can start both the Admin console at a time.
Still you have issue please let me know.
    Happy to help you :).

Admin console in WLS 6.0 does not support automatic extensibility for user
MBeans registered to WLS server. You can only access them programmatically
by getting the MBean from the MBeanServer in the WLS server.
This functionality is being considered for future releases.

  • Problem Accessing Mapviewer 12c Administration Console

I am attempting to install and configure Oracle Mapviewer 12c (v12.1.3).  The installation appears successful but after performing the installation, I am unable to access the Mapviewer 12c Administration Console.  The default Admin Console URL is http://[host]:[port]/mapviewer.  I can reach the URL using a browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE) but the admin welcome page will not display.  The browser just "spins it's wheels" as it tries to load the page. The image below is from Firefox
Examining the browser's developer console (by pressing F12) while the page is loading, you can see it cycling through the login page repeatedly (see image below).
My environment consists of the following:
    1) Server OS: Linux x86_64 (RedHat Enterprise 5.11)
    2) Oracle Weblogic Server 12c - "Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure" distribution
As per the documentation, Oracle Mapviewer 12c requires specific dependencies that the Generic Weblogic Server installation will not provide (i.e. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/overview/index.html).  Instead, you must use the "Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure" distribution, to install weblogic server and all the required dependencies.
The Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure distribution was downloaded from the Oracle ADF download page on OTN or from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.
    - Oracle ADF download page on OTN: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/downloads/index.html
    - JAR file fmw_12.1.3.0.0_infrastructure_Disk1_1of1.zip
    3) Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer Version 12c (12.1.3)
    - downloaded from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/mapviewer/downloads/index.html
    - JAR file is fmw_12.1.3.0.0_mapviewer.jar
Following the instructions in the Users Guide for Oracle Mapviewer 12c E29624-02 (http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/core/JIMPV/index.html), I first installed and configured Weblogic Server 12c, followed by Mapviewer 12c.
I made two different installation attempts:
    a) I installed Mapviewer Using the Universal Installer
    b) I Manually Deployed an Exploded MapViewer EAR Folder in WebLogic Server
Both attempts produced the same results.
Specifically, after installing and configuring Mapviewer, I could verify the version of Mapviewer using the URL:
    http://[host]:[port]/mapviewer/omserver?getv=t
Accessing this URL immediately resulted in the expected response text string:
    Ver12.1.3_B140430.1010
I could also successfully access the Weblogic Admin Console (http://[host]:[port]/console) and confirm the Weblogic is running, and that Mapviewer has been successfully deployed and running as well.
However, at this point, if I try accessing the Mapviewer 12c Administration Console via http://[host]:[port]/mapviewer, the Console launch page does not display (as described above).
At this point, I am asking myself why does Oracle's Demo site work (http://slc02okf.oracle.com) and mine doesn't.  I assumed Oracle's own demo site for Mapviewer was using Mapviewer 12c.  I based that assumption on the fact that Orqacle's Demo site (http://slc02okf.oracle.com/mvdemo/demo/oracle_maps_demo_v2.jsp) displays a header referencing Mapviewer 12c (see image below).
However, when I queried the version URL for Oracle's Demo site (i.e. http://slc02okf.oracle.com/mapviewer/omserver?getv=t), I see instead that they are running Mapviewer 11g!!
    Ver11_1_1_7_3_B140717
So, long story short, has anyone successfully deployed Mapviewer 12c, and if so, can you access the Mapviewer 12c Administration Console??
Any and all input is greatly appreciated.
    Wayne

Wow!  That was it.  I was starting the Mapviewer server using 1.8.0_31 (the latest Java 8 JDK).  I switched it over to 1.7.0_75 (latest Java 7) and it works!  Big Thanks!
The Mapviewer 12c User Guide states that you need "JDK7 or later".  I just assumed "later" meant JDK8 as well.  However, when I checked the certification matrix on My Oracle Support for Mapviewer 12c and JDK, it only shows Java 7 as being certified.

  • Can't login to the Collaborate C-Hub Administration Console

What's the user name and password for the Collaborate C-Hub Administrator console?
I successfully intstalled the RosettaNet version of Collaborate with the Coludscape

with C-Hub configuration (from the start-menu) I can't login! What is the correct

I can't start the WebLogic Server console with the C-Hub server configuration.

It seems to me that I have to install the C-Hub administration console as a web

why doesn't the installation guide tells me that?
(By the way, the URL's the installation created in the start-meny contains an
invalid hostname. It should be "localhost" or my machine name. For some reason,

Thanks for the login, I will try it!
I got the C-Hub and C-Enabler running, but not the administrators console (in
those servers). There is sufficient configuration information in this document
    at the BEA site:
    http://edocs.bea.com/wlcollab/v1_0_1/interm/setup.htm
The login: bea, and password: 12345678 given there worked.
I havn't yet been able to use the administrators console to configure the servers
in the Collaborate hub and enabler directories. (To do that I belive the adminitration
console must first be added as an application in those servers.)
I got the C-Hub and C-enabler working by directly editing the configuration in
    hub/config/mydomain/config.xml resp. enabler/config/mydomain/config.xml and running
    the two servers separatly.

    Hi.
The admin console for WLS 5.1 is not a webapp in the admin server - it's
a standalone java swing application. You can run it by running the
startConsole.sh script from the command line. In WLS 6.x and higher the
admin console is a webapp as you expect and the url you use below should
    work.

  • Portal Administration Console Login

    Hello!
I have integrated Oracle Weblogic Server with Oracle Identity Manager to achive Single Sign On. In IDM is set form login.
    My base_domain configuration is : AdminServer and a Cluster_0 with two managed servers : Server_1 and Server_0.
I have as proxy server : Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) for each server : Admin-Server, Server-0, Server-1.
I targeted my portal app to cluster. My portal application contains Portal Administration Console, avaibled at /myAppAdmin.
Security Providers are (in this order):
    1. OAMIDAsserter - Oracle Access Manager Identity Asserter( Control Flag : REQUIRED, Active Types : ObSSOCookie)
    2. OIDAuthentificator - Provider that performs LDAP authentication (Control Flag: SUFFICIENT )
    3. DefaultAuthenticator - Weblogic Authentication Provider ( Control Flag : SUFFICIENT
    4. DefaultIdentityAsserter - Weblogic Identity Assertion provider.
When I access Portal Administration Console from /myAppAdmin (admin-tools.war)
         1. I login first in IDM with the user from LDAP : weblogic_ldap. The login is ok and the ObSSOCookie is set.
         2. I am redirected to login from Portal Administration Console (this thing is wrong and I want to jump this step. I want to go directly in Portal Administration Console after the first login).
         3. I login in the second login page from Portal Administration Console with the same user : weblogic_ldap. The login has succeed.
         4. I am logged in Portal Administration Console and I can add content ( for exemple)
What I have to do to have only the login form from IDM. To have the only two steps:
    1. Login in Portal Administration Console using login form from IDM and a LDAP user

    I have tried :
I have changed domain security Default Model : "Advanced" , set Combined Role Mapping Enabled to "FALSE", set Check Roles and Policies to
"ALL Web applications and EJBs" and selected for When Deploying Web Applications or EJBs: "Ignore roles and policies to DD".
After this changes I deployed myApp which contains /myAppAdmin Console with Security policies set to Advanced.

    no idea? :(

  • The descriptor can be edited from administration console

In weblogic 8.x, the descriptor can be edited with weblogic builder dynamically.
However, I can't edit the descriptor dynamically from administration console in weblogic 10g.
Can't the descriptor be edited dynamically from administration console?

I guess it depends on what descriptor you're talking about, but mostly you can't edit them from the console. You should be able to edit some parameters in the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml file. Editing application descriptor values is something that deployment plans are good for. A deployment plan is an XML file that specifies a file to change, a parameter to modify, and a new value.
