Weblogic support in Eclipse Europa (3.3)

Anyone have an idea on when Weblogic support will be available in Europa? It ships with support for Apache, IBM, JBoss, and Oracle and the Eclipse download site suggests that support for Weblogic can be downloaded, but I cannot find it on this site, nor is it found from the server update inside Eclipse.

Can not add Weblogic 10.3.1 support in Eclipse

I installed Jdeveloper which shipped with a weblogic 10.3.1...
After I installed Eclipse and Oracle Pack for Eclipse, and tried to add Weblogic support in Eclipse, but encounter version mismatching error...
It indicated that it only support 10.3.0...
All this tools are updated to the lasted version...

It's hard to tell based on your description, but I am going to guess that you are not selecting the right version of WLS runtime in the new runtime wizard. WLS 10.3.1 is also known as WLS 11gR1. Make sure that you look for it in Oracle rather than BEA category.

Differences b/w Oracle Workshop WebLogic and Oracle Eclipse Enterprise Pack

What are the differences between the Oracle Workshop Studio for WebLogic and the Oracle Eclipse Enterprise Pack

While both OEPE and Workshop are Eclipse-based IDEs, they are in fact separate products with some similarities
Both products provide tooling for webapp and Java EE development for Weblogic Server but OEPE is Oracle's strategic Eclipse-based solution and new features are released as OEPE plugins. One goal for OEPE is to cover and eventually exceed Workshop's feature set. You can start to see that today in OEPE 11g's JPA, Spring, and Weblogic Server. For example, JPA support in OEPE 11g is available on more project types, like EJB and Utility Projects, and has better Entity source code completion and validation against the schema. OEPE's Weblogic Server support includes new graphical editors for the common deployment descriptors, like weblogic.xml, which simplifies adding new content, validation, and accessing context sensitive help.
Also, with OEPE we are more active in the Eclipse community with participation in WTP projects like JSF Tools and Dali. In fact, in Eclipse 3.5 the new JPA Entity generation wizards were originally developed as part of OEPE 11g and contributed to WTP.
Finally, if you need support for the latest Eclipse, OEPE's frequent release schedule keeps us supporting new Eclipse versions much faster than we were able to with Workshop.
If you are debating between OEPE and Workshop for new projects, I would definitely recommend that you give OEPE a try.

Not able to set Weblogic Runtime on eclipse while adding new weblogic srvr

Hi Everyone,
I downloaded Oracle Integration pack for eclipse by clicking at "Download additional server adapters". I am not able to set Weblogic Runtime on eclipse while adding new weblogic server.
I am trying to give following values:
Name :Oracle WebLogic Server 10gR3 (2)
Weblogic home :C:\bea\wlserver_10.3
Java home: C:\bea\jrockit_160_05
Below it I am getting "No applicable extension found" and finish button is greyed out.
Please help in telling what is wrong. Never faced such an issue.

I tried the weblogic 10.3.1、10.3.3、10.3.4、10.3.5 still show the info that "No applicable extension found" and finish button is greyed out.

Error when starting weblogic from forthnet eclipse plugin?

Hi,
I'm getting an error when trying to start my weblogic server from the forthnet eclipse plugin. (However, it works to start the server from a command prompt on the machine it is running on, and also, it works to stop the server from eclipse)
Server and eclipse is running on Windows.
The error reported is:

I've tried removing the "EmbeddedLDAP.lok" file, but without luck.

Which version of your eclipse? I am using eclipse 3.0 and I am able to start weblogic 8.1 from eclipse.
I did the following steps:
1.create a new domain through weblogic's configuration wizard --> basic weblogic server domain --> Express --> proive the user name and password --> development mode, and sun sdk (or other jdk) --> your new domain name
2. configure weblogic setting in eclipse: preferences --> weblogic --> 8.1, C:\bea\weblogic81, your newly created domain name --> C:\bea\user_projects\domains (domain directory) --> myserver --> admin (or your user name) --> password --> localhost --> 7001
after that, you should be able to click on "start weblogic server" button from toolbar.
Hope my two cents solve your problem.

Eclipse Europa EE and oracle 10.1.3 issue (server wont't deploy app)

I have our project defined and compiling in eclipse europa EE version, and the server starts just fine inside eclipse (I downloaded and installed the oc4j 10.1.3) but for some reason it never tries to deploy our application. Am I missing a step? In older vesions of eclipse you would hit properties on the web module and specify the module/context name, and I can't find where to do that in this version also.
Are there instructions anywhere for deploying an existing application into eclipse? I'm trying to conver from using JDeveloper 10.1.3 Thanks

Does the web server of weblogic support any plugins similar to the ISAPI plugins for IIS or apache plugins?

i can't seem to get it to work either AND I can't seem to find an answer here or any search that I do. It seems that you can only view your calendar and not delegate calendars via the web view

Complaint of support in Eastern Europe

Hi,
I want to complain about your support for Eastern Europe.
I have Lenovo Ideapad Z500, of which I am very pleased .
But I had a problem with the backlight .
I am from Bulgaria and it turned out that you have to send the laptop in Poland for repairs.
Here everything is Ok, but when I returned the laptop all my information was deleted.
I guess I'd say unworn responsibility for the information, but I think it is right when you need to carry out such activities to warn the client .
For because of the backlight will not accept me erase everything from the hard drive and I would prefer to give it back with the problem.
I would be glad if you pay attention to your service for no other customers like me.

I also want do add that the problem with keyboard backlight wasn't resolved. They returned my laptop with deleted hard drive and unsolved problem!!!!

WebLogic plugin for eclipse 3.2

Hi,
I have installed WLS 9.2 and eclipse 3.2 and I am trying to start the weblogic from within eclipse.
I pretty much followed everything written. I can start the weblogic outside of eclipse ok.
I have reached the stage where after right-click-ing to start the server, am getting the following error response.
Any advice would be appreciated

Should be something like
- extract the plugin into the plugins directory
- restart eclipse
- create a clean project (to prevent artefacts)
- rightclick the project, select from the menu team->share project
- choose the VSS option and point it to your VSS server
- team->update
- team -> check out on the file you need to change
- team -> check in after modification

Depends on the application requirements. For a basic JSP/Servlet application just integrate Tomcat in Eclipse and assign it as application server to your web project, then you don't need to add anything. If you for example need JSF, then you should add its JAR's to the classpath of the web project, which is by default /WEB-INF/lib.

Will weblogic support 2 Phase support for MDB (Container Managed)

The Transaction is not rolling back when i am throwing an EJB exception during the update of the database
          Followed the below steps
          0) Created a XAConnectionPool (Oracle XA thin Driver)
          1) Created a DataSource for the above pool
          2) Created a QueueConnection factory with XA checked
          3) Deployed a MDB with Transaction Support as Required
          4) When the Database is throwing an exception the message is not rolled back /
          Any idea why this is happening?Will Weblogic 81 supports Container Management for MDB for 2PC transactions?
          i have Oracle driver in the weblogic start classpath and using getting the connection to the DB from the weblogic pool

          - There's no need to configure a JMS connection factory - the MDB's default choice is transaction capable.

Want to integrate weblogic server with eclipse

I am trying to integrate weblogic with eclipse. so that i can start the weblogic server from my eclipse. can you please give me a point to a location from where i can download the plugin.
And also i want my eclipse to support the j2ee development. what can i do for this. I want my jsps and servelets should work like eclipse default behavior, that is listing the api methods and highlighting the java code.
Please help me by providing a point. I searched with google for considerable time, as i couldn't find out, requesting your help

Seems Eclipse Galileo doesn't have support for WebLogic 10.3 rather it supports only up to 10.0 of WebLogic Server. Thanks.

weblogic 8.1 is certified for jdk 1.4 by bea.
use weblogic 9.2 - that's up to jdk 1.5
as far as eclipse goes, you're on your own.
