  • Download link for BEA Workshop trial version not working

    Hello All,
    I am trying to download BEA Workshop Studio 3.3 trial version (of 30 days) since last 2 weeks. However the download link- http://workshopstudio.bea.com/downloadNitroX.do is not working.
    Kindly tell me an alternate link (or mirror site) from where I can download the trial version of BEA Workshop Studio.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kiran

    Hi,
    BEA Workshop Studio 3.3 is no longer a supported product. Please see the Lifetime Support Policy docoment for Oracle Fusion Middleware Products for more specific information - http://www.oracle.com/us/support/lifetime-support/lifetime-support-software-342730.html
    I would highly recommend that you check out Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse (OEPE), which provides many of the same features of Workshop Studio 3.3 including Web Application tooling, AppXRay Dependency Validation, WebLogic Server integration and much more beyond the Worskhop Studio 3.3 feature set.
    A good starting point for OEPE 11g is the OTN page found here - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/eclipse/overview/index.html
    Thanks,
    Greg

  • Href link with //localhost:7001 prefix in index.jsp  for WebLogic Workshop 8.1.2

    I installed the WebLogic Workshop 8.1.2 (Build: 2003.1211.044125). I built all
    six projects
    and everything seems to work well.
    I could access to the sample web services on the WebLogic server from the local
    server
    as well as from a remote client machine by pointing the browser to the following
    two URLs respectively:
    http://localhost:7001/WebServices/index.jsp (browser from local server)
    http://192.168.1.100:7001/WebServices/index.jsp (browser from remote client machine)
    When the "Simple web service sample" page shows up, I could click from the local
    server, and
    go to the HellowWorld.jws link. However, from the remote machine, I got the "Page
    not found"
    error when clicking on the HelloWorld.jws link.
    I checked the index.jsp file in the
    C:\bea\weblogic81\samples\workshop\SamplesApp\WebServices directory on the WebLogic
    server, and found that all the href reference has the //localhost:7001 prefix
    in the link,
    which caused the remote browser to fail.
    I then tried to global replacement and remove all the //localhost:7001 references
    in the
    index.jsp file so that the line changed from something like this:
    href="http://localhost:7001/WebServices/HelloWorld.jws?.EXPLORE=.TEST">HelloWorld.jws</a>
    to something like this:
    href="http:/WebServices/HelloWorld.jws?.EXPLORE=.TEST">HelloWorld.jws</a>
    and then save the index.jsp file in the same directory.
    Now, I fresh both of my browsers and I can correctly access to the HelloWorld.jws,
    and
    all other sample links, from the local server as well as from the remote client
    machine.
    Why is //localhost:7001 needed in the index.jsp file? It seems that without it
    the
    samples work better.

    Hello,
    You will need the full URL when you extend out of your local
    environment. Check out docs here [1] for an overview or for an extended
    story, review the issues [2] involved with clusters, DNS, IP addr, etc.
    Hope this is of some value,
    Bruce

  • Invoking web service using Weblogic Workshop (JCX)

    Invoking web service using Weblogic Workshop
    Posted: 5 Jan 2005 23:31 PM Reply
    Hi,
    I have WSDL from which I have generated a web service control (.jcx) using Weblogic Workshop.
    I need to write a client which will invoke the web service using the control.
    Can someone help me on how to go about this ?
    BTW .. I also tried the clientgen route and tried to generated the proxy jar from the WSDL but wasn't successful because of a existing clientgen bug.

    Hi,
    if the consumer of the webservice is a control-aware consumer ( pageflow, control, process ) simply drag the control to this consumer and the control variable is ready for use.
    if the consumer is not control-aware, try to generate a proxy using eg. the axis tool, or handcode your proxy class.

  • Integration 10g silent installation will not install WebLogic Workshop

    Hello,
    I am attempting a silent installation, using wli10gR3_win32.exe. I have created a silent.xml using the information on this page: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13214_01/wli/docs85/install/silent.html.
    I have used that page in the past to successfully create silent installations for versions 8 and 9 of Weblogic, but for version 10g it is not quite working as advertised. I have not found instructions for a silent installation for 10g.
    My silent.xml file contains the following line:
    <data-value name="COMPONENT_PATHS" value="WebLogic Server|WebLogic Workshop|WebLogic Integration|WebLogic Portal" />
    When I run the package with this line, an error is produced in the log file stating that WebLogic Workshop cannot be found.
    When I remove the WebLogic Workshop part of the line then Server, Integration, and Portal all install without errors. Unfortunately, Workshop was requested as well.
    When I run the installation manually, I am offered Workshop as one of the products.
    If somebody can point me to the correct installation documentation or provide the correct syntax for the silent.xml file that would be swell.
    thanks.

    Hi,
    I had faced the same issue today, So I had removed workshop and the installation was successful. But the weird thing is after the installation I could see the "workshop" was installed under BEA_HOME.
    Did any one face the same issue?
    Thanks.

  • Change default IDE from Oracle JBuilder to WebLogic Workshop

    On my Windows 2000 system, Oracle JBuilder opens when I double-click
    java code. Anybody know do I change the default so that WebLogic
    Workshop opens instead?
    Thx
    Tom

    Eeach version of weblogic comes bundled with a specific version of Oracle thin driver . You Can either use that or you have the option of downloading the latest thin driver from Oracle and put it before weblogic.jar in the classpath so weblogic will use that latest version of the driver
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/htdocs/jdbc_112010.html has all the latest drivers
    Thin drivers from oracle are deisgned to work with specific JDK eg ojdbc5 and ojdbc6 files so these may restrict you
    JDBC code will also need some changes (some package names have chnaged for 11.2.0.1 version of teh driver which we used during our upgrade)

  • How to make downloadable links in Adobe Muse

    I am new to website design and am trying to figure out how to make downloadable links for some PDF flyers, PSD templates I am creating.   Not sure if "downloadable links" is the correct term for what I'm trying to say but in a nutshell I am creating Business Flyer's in PDF form and Photoshop PSD template files that I would like to be able to have my users click a link that allows them to download them right to their desktop.  Any help would really be appreciated!

    Hi caybar10gaming,
    I had the same question as you and was searching online for how to add "downloadable links" as well so your not alone in that lol. Anyways, I found this video that explains how to do this. I hope this helps you, as it did me. Good Luck

  • Download link not working in Adobe AIR app.

    I wanted to let users browse my site as a desktop application,
    but didn't have the time to write an application from scratch. SO tried following trick. Created a simple Adobe AIR application with a single page. This page redirects to my website and hence loads the website in the AIR window.
    Everything is working fine except that the download links are not working. The download doesn't start. Nothing happens. What is the solution here? Any help is appreciated.

    I am now facing the same problem. I wrote a servlet .
    code like this
             response = (HttpServletResponse) faces.getExternalContext().getResponse();
             response.setContentType("application/x-download");
             String agent = request.getHeader("USER-AGENT");
             boolean isIE=false;
            if (null != agent && agent.indexOf("MSIE")!=-1) {
                isIE=true;
            if (isIE) {
                fileName = URLEncoder.encode(fileName, "UTF-8");
            } else {
                fileName = new String(fileName.getBytes("utf-8"), "ISO-8859-1");
            response.setHeader("Content-Disposition","attachment;filename="+fileName);
            ServletOutputStream os = response.getOutputStream();
            byte b[]=new byte[1024];
            int n;
            while((n=in.read(b))!=-1){
                os.write(b,0,n);
           in.close();
           os.close();
    and i open a new window refer to above jsp ,also i set a breakPoint at os.close(),the program has passed through,but nothing happened in the window.
    If i use IE or FF ,the browser will open a small window to allow me select whether open or  save the file.So can anybody give me some advice.Is it because air using webkit engine and the engine does not do this kind of job?
            Thanks.

    Hi ,
    It looks like your report column is set to display as Text. Go to "Home>Application Builder>Application #>Page #>Interactive Report Attributes" and change it to Standard report Column and you should be all set.

  • How do I remove download links/button redirect to accurate download

    When I go to some sites that have a download link underscored in blue or a button next to text or any other part of the page, I was able to click and download the file. When you point at the link or button you would see the path it will take to download the file. It would have the website name your visiting plus other codes.
    But on returning to these sites, when I choose what I want to download, the link or button wants to go to accuratedownload.com. It presents the name of the item I want and with a .EXE extension. My main browser is Firefox version 26.0 on my XP PC. I test Internet Explorer and it produces the same results. Something has changed. I go to the site on my mobile phone, I am able to download the file from the same site and the links/buttons are not embedded with codes to go to accuratedownload.com. I do not know what to call this problem since I had no luck in finding solutions to redirection being embedded in a link or button on a web page that worked fine.
    I've tried a reset Firefox, my profile, running Symantec Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Anit-Malware, Clearing history and so on. The problem still occurs. Need Help.
    Note: It would be nice if when the Download Screen pops-up, that we could rename the download file to a name we want (Saves time). Even if you rename the file, the history should record where it came from with the original name if it needs to be downloaded again.

    To let you know, When I did a reset and restarted Fire Fox without the Add on's. I tested each user account on my PC. Each user account that used Fire Fox or Windows Explorer showed the same symtoms.
    Back to troubleshooting, I've completed a scan using Sothos Free Virus Removal Tool. After a lengthy scan of every drive, partition, USB Thumb Drive and so on that it found, in about 5.5 hours it found Mal/FakeAvCn-C, Mal/JavDlEx-A and CXmal/BadLnk-A and continued by clicking the Clean Up button and that took about 15 minutes for some reason. Then it asked to send the log to Sophos. I clicked send and it failed to get to them.
    I tried going on the internet to test the cleanup by clicking on some links and buttons. I could not get on the internet. I found that the NIC card was not working. Don't know why now but probably was affected by the scan. I found myself troubleshooting and reinstalling NIC drivers several times before the NIC card started to run correctly.
    I read you post and tried to change the proxy settings in Fire Fox to "No Proxy." The scan, clean up and proxy settings change did not remove the embedded paths in links or buttons that allow you to download or be sent to the intended location. It still had paths to accuratedownload.com and eachdownload.com.
    Question: By default is the proxy setting suppose to be "Use system proxy settings"? Should I put this back to this setting.
    Windows Explorer has the same problem. Is Fire Fox a stand alone product or does it build parts of itself using Windows Explorer?
    =========
    Besides the scans and removal done to the registry, the scans it did on the files and folders, the Sophos log shows the virus attached to files in Documents and Folders, All Users (and other user accounts), Application and data folders, Java and Cache, including any shortcuts and long cryptic files like (pg42l784fcuo452hsb6cfbkoke045p75f2e02887m).
    When programs fail to delete or cleanup after themselves, what locations can be safely deleted manually?

  • How do I create a downloadable link from an Interactive PDF file created out of InDesign CS6?

    Hello,
    I created an Interactive PDF file out of InDesign and would like to make the large file a downloadable link and share it with the user in an email. I do not want to use DropBox or GoogleDrive.
    The company I contract for has their own site - do I insert the file into the site or can I create a separate link for it?
    I will be recreating these presentation PDF's constantly, so I would like to know if there is a simple way to create this link for files in the size of 7-12MB.
    Any ideas on downloadable links? I do have flash - but rarely use, perhaps load the file out of flash?
    Thank you so much for your help,
    Megan

    Hi Willie,
    Thanks for your help. Most likely contact the company who maintains the
    site then to share the file with them I'm assuming?
