  • Attachments not working in Presentation

Hi  -- Has anyone else had issued with attachements in a published Presenter file not working?  I have had so many issues since upgrading to the latest version of Presenter and so have all of the folks on my team.  One of them made a 6 part series, that each contain 4-5 attachments.  She attached them all in Presenter and they appear in Adobe Connect when you click the paperclip, you can see each of the attachments listed and the size, but when you click them 2 out of the 4 just will not download.  Anyone have ideas why this is happening?  It happens all through her series.
    Thanks.

Hi Jorma -- interesting, in the first session, the 2 that don't have _  in them... Article at a Glance and the Summary page.  I will try to change that and republish

  • Recorded Animations Not Working In Presenter (8.0.1)

My animation timings are not working when published to Presenter (8.0.1). Narration timing is good, but all the animations simply manifest one after the other, not as I recorded them as I clicked through (and yes each one is set for "click"). I also have the playback option set for "Use PPTX Slide Time"

It may be related to the the first animation set to with previous. There is a known issue with Presenter when dealing with slides that have a mix of on-click and with/after previous animations:
Adobe Presenter audio cannot be synchronized correctly with animations if a slide contains a mix of on-click animations and after/previous animations.
Workaround: For the Adobe Presenter audio to sync correctly, ensure that all animations on a slide are on-click animations.
The most commonly seen issues with Presenter can be found here: http://helpx.adobe.com/presenter/kb/top-issues-presenter-8.html
The best option may be to elminate animation elements untill you can identify the one that is causing the issue. I suppose it could be something like the object that is animated (I've seen non JPEG/GIF images do odd things) is not converting to Flash properly. I don't believe it is the animation, as the fade-in animation has worked for years.

  • Stop() not working in presentation slide

I have a very simple stop() action in my first and last
frames of a slide that is under the master slide. No other code.
The oddest thing is that the first stop() does not work, though,
the last stop() action does work. I figured this is something to do
with Flash Presentation type documents so I created a normal Flash
document and sure enough the first frame stop() action does work. I
even created a freshly new Flash Presentation document type and
same effect of first frame action not working. Any ideas why this
is happening to Presentation type documents?

your last stop is working though? try putting a couple frames
b4 the first stop.. see if it is skipping over it. ... it shouldn't
do this..but it might because of loading over with
    presentation.

  • Webmail not working with virtual website

Webmail does not work when I configure a virtual website, where the website files are not located in the 'default' location on the OS drive. Webmail only works when the default location is used. Additionally, the default website is a 'secure' (https://) website, of which I don't need. Apple Enterprise Support directed me to RoundCube.net where I did not find any information regarding my issue.
Does anyone know how to host a virtual website (files in Other Location, other than default Lion Server OS directory) and make webmail work?

Do you have any addons/toolbars in IE on that computer? You might try disabling them and see if that fixes the issue.

  • Flash: Tab Order Not Working in Presenter

In my presentation, I am including a swf file in which the user can tab between fields to enter their name, company, etc., The Tab key works to advance the cursor in the stand-alone swf file, but does not work when published through Presenter. Has anyone else had this occur? Is there a work around? Thanks!

    pguerett,
Thanks so much! That did the trick. I kept looking at tab order, but I never looked at Hierarchy. I'm not sure how they got so messed up in that regard. (That's not the order in which I placed the fields--in fact, I imported the form.) Thanks again! That was driving me crazy!

  • Server Webmail not working

Have run into a issue with my mail server. I can access webmail from internally but not from any compter outside of my local network. When accessign it from outside it opens to the webmail logon screen and when a user enters their user id and password it just sits and eventually comes back to the logon screen again. This stopped being accessable sometime around the time we updated the server to 10.7.3. No Changes to the firewall were made only the normal updates to the server OS. This has been working for almost a year (originally running on an Old Mac Mini with Snow Leopard Server)
In troubleshooting I have tried making the Server a DMZ host in the firewall, with no success. Also in an attempt to try andsee if it is an issue with port blocking by my ISP I connected an external device via a VPN (Hosted on same server) and still had the same results.
    Current Setup:
    Small Home Office
Mac OS X Lion Server v10.7.4
Mac Mini is being used as the server (Current Generation)
    ISP is Charter Communications

Have you tried using the network utility app yet?  Use the lookup tab and check to make sure your domain name matches your ip address and see if you can look up your mx record.  So what I usually do is
    1.  Check server.mydomain.com  - see if it is linking to your ip
    2.  check ip and see if you get the reverse look up
    3.  check your mail server (mine is mail.mydomain.com) it should link back to your fully qualified domain name.
I just did a fresh reboot and I was having the same issue.  So in the server admin (download from apple - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1419) under:
DNS ->  Zones create a CName (alias) under your fully qualified name for your mail server (MX record).
After that my email was working fine.
    Hope this helps

  • Hyperlink not working in presentation mode when using alternate display

Made hyperlinks to jump from slide x to slide y
That worked fine when testing in presentation mode
When the same file is played using a beamer as alternate display the hyperlinks are not recognised: clicking will start the next build of the presentation

Is there anybody who successfully used a hyperlink to jump from slide A to slide Y? (and when using the beamer as an alternate display, using the macbook pro screen for the presentation notes)
If so, I can try to find out what I do wrong, otherwise it might be a bug in Keynote'08
thanks for your attention in this matter!!

  • Safari webmail not working

Just recently, Safari will no longer open email messages, delete mail, or view any folders in my webmail viewed through safari. When i try to do the mentioned tasks, the loading bar stops a quarter of the way through then freezes. I can access my mail through firefox. the webmail program is Microsoft Outlook Web Access, used to view my school email. It has always worked in the past, and yesterday stopped working for no reason. any ideas?!

Welcome to Apple Discussions and the world of Mac Computing
allowing you to install Windows XP on your system via "Bootcamp" seems like it will give you the best of both worlds - superior computing in OS X, reliable equipment, and when necessary using Windows XP to access PC applications, including Internet Explorer for Windows
IE for Windows is the most used browser (over 85 percent of all computer users). Hence, web sites are developed usually to work with IE. By contrast, I have come across a number of instances (Yahoo video for one) which will not function in Safari. Over time, this will change, however, given Safari's "newness", it's not surprising to see certain web sites not function as intended.
Apple is very solid on the basics. As you "switch" your perspective to the OS X method of file organization and computing, you'll begin to appreciate the user friendly nature of Apple products.
    Good Luck

  • Webmail not working - can

I just stopped the firewall, activated webmail on my Xserve (under "Sites", double-clicked my website and under options, check webmail), and tried accessing it from Safari running on the same server. While
    http://server.org
works fine to serve up my website,
    http://localhost/webmail
    gives
"Forbidden. You don't have permission to access /webmail on this server"
    and
    http://localhost:16080/webmail
    gives
Safari can't connect to the server. Safari can't pen the page "http://localhost:16080/webmail" because it could not connect to the server 'localhost'."
    Any ideas what's going on?

The obvious question is whether you have multiple virtual hosts configured on your server. If you do then each one is likely bound by the hostname - this means that Apache looks at the hostname of the URL you access and uses that to match the virtualhost.
Therefore, if you have a virtualhost setup for 'server.org', then Apache is only going to match requests for http://server.org/ to that virtualhost. Other requests (including 'localhost') will go to other virtualhosts (including the default site which will catch all other hostnames).
Under the Mail service -> Advanced -> Hosting, "Enable virtual hosting" is not checked. Is this what you mean or is there something else? Also, my website works fine when I do http://localhost/

  • BT Yahoo Webmail not working in IE11

    .... well not fully.

Try putting your browser into compatibility mode when using BT webmail.

  • Lion Server Webmail not working

    Honestly, where to begin.
Put succinctly, I cannot receive or send email to anyone from any identity on my Lion Server webmail. I'm running 10.7.4. and using dyn.com as a dynamic IP address (I chose dyn-o-saur.com because my daughter loves dinosaurs) so my server name appears as "[servername].dyn-o-saur.com".
Yes, I can log in as different users, and they can send mail to each other.
But anyone else? No dice. And even curiouser, there is no "message delivery failed" message returning to outside senders, and if I send email from the server webmail to anybody on the outside, the server says "Message sent successfully". But emails don't seem to show up anywhere.
    Things I have done:
    • shut down and restarted server
    • shut down Mail within Server app, restarted
    • shut down Mail within Server Admin app, restarted
    • shut down Mail within Server Admin app, reconfigured using the setup wizard, restarted
    • checked all ports on my router (late 2011 Time Capsule), all are open according to canyouseeme.org
    • the SSL certificate is Intermediate, and valid from namecheap.com (PositiveSSL CA 2) for POP, IMAP and STMP
    • created an MX record for my server in Server Admin per general instructions
I've dug around for days, and apparently this might be a DNS Zone problem, but I'm not sure what else I can do. I've got 4 active zones, two of which are primary (one for the server, and one for the local computer), so maybe there's a problem there? I've included this screenshot (my server ID blurred for privacy):
I've had too many SSL Certificate problems to count - and wiped my hard drive clean and re-installed Lion Server three times, and STILL I can't get my Trust Profile on any of the devices to appear as "signed" (despite buying two entirely different SSLs from namecheap and godaddy) but maybe I'll save that question for another day, unless it somehow is also webmail-related.
Any help or advice would be so, so appreciated. Thanks!

So I found the culprit... dyn.com had not updated my dynamic IP address, so I had to do it on their website manually. Then everything started working again.
Also, the previously untrusted/unsigned SSL certificates for my mobile devices suddenly became signed and verified again once I deleted them (via the Profiles tab in Settings) and signed them up again, installing the Trust Profile first (via the /mydevices page on the server).
I was also able to verify my laptop's SSL certificate by re-installing the Trust Profile ON TOP of the old one. I did not delete it first, as the last time I did that, I was unable to install any of the server profiles.
So in a way, the question is answered. Until the next issue.

  • Animations after the first slide are not working in Presenter 8

I've created a powerpoint with lots of step by step equations synced to audio.  Presenter is handling the first animation on the first slide ok, but it is not animating the rest of the content on the rest of the slides.  The content is just showing up all at once.  When I attempt to sync the audio with the animations, the editing command makes it appear like everything will work fine, but when I publish the document to pdf or to flash, the animations are failing to animate.

    Hi
Have you made all the animations to play as on click animations?
Also can you please mail the presentation to [email protected]

  • Hyperlink not working in Presenter 7.0.7 in pptx file

I have an external hyperlink in the form of http://www.server.gov in the last slide of the presentation.  The link is not selectable in the published presentation.  I'm using office 2010 32 bit, windows 7, presenter 7.0.7 build 7746.  The published presentation is on the web server and I'm accessing the presentation with IE.  I've tried deleting the link and reinserting it.  Any suggestions on what to try next?

    Hi,
I tried on same configuration for both PPT nad PPTX but I am not able to repro the issue.
Please verify; if we play the Presenter published file on local system then hyperlinks are accessible?
If answer for above is yes then I can suggest you  to check "Enable window popup" is unchecked.

    Shubhi
