WebOS 1.4 bug report - Shared youtube video ids are sometimes undefined

When I upload a video to YouTube and then select the option to share it by email, I frequently find that the generated URL is "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=undefined". Apparently it isn't getting back the video id from youtube when it expects to.

Palm has logged this in its software issue tracking system. We endeavor to continuously improve our software quality and thank you for bringing this to our attention.  We are grateful to the community and will evaluate options based on customer feedback and software best practices.

  • Bug with embedded youtube videos?

hi, I've done a fair amount of searching around and haven't
    found any solutions.
What happens is when I browse to a page with an embedded
youtube video, I get the 'A script in this movie is causing Adobe
Flash Player 9 to run slowly.'. I get the same error with either FF
2.0.0.13 or IE 7.0.5730.11, using Flash 9.0.124.0. Naturally
everything in the browser grinds to a complete halt.
The weird thing is this only happens if I scroll down the web
page to where the video actually is embedded. Otherwise everything
    works fine.
Using other Flash applications, watching Youtube, and so on
    are fine as well.
    I'm on Windows XP SP2.
This only started happening in the last week or so.
    Any ideas?

  • Fix youtube videos that are not displaying

I have no problem using Adobe Flash plug-in in general, but the youtube videos doesn't work in my browser. I first had only problem with embeded videos on other sites, but now I cannot even see videos on youtube itself. Why is this happenning?
Also, I cannot instal the flash from Firefoxes UI. I had to download external application. I was not given any debug info about why the installation failed.

    Hello Carlos,
Youtube videos may not work in the normal Muse preview. Please publish the site to Business Catalyst/upload the site to the host the site, and then check if they work. Take a look at this related post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5567897#5567897
    Hope this helps.

  • Bug Report iOS 5: Video App

    Without acknowledlement from Apple.
The Next/Previous buttons (tap instead of tap-and-hold) no longer work.

Got the 5.0.1 update tonight. It did NOT fix this problem.

  • HomeFusion Blocking Youtube Videos?

The past week or so I have been unable to play YouTube video's on any of my home PC's. Video's on all kinds of other sites are fine, and the webpage for YouTube video's are instant loaders, but hit play, and NOTHING. Seems only the video feed from YouTube is blocked. It seems rather convenient that this only started happening after youtube won that lawsuit to censor the internet for personal profit.
I did see another page that mentioned Verizon FiOS and problem with youtube, Verizon tried to claim it wasn't their fault (Right,...) but that blocking certain IP's would fix it, well, I blocked those IP ranges and still doesn't work.
Anyone know how to get around Verizon's blocking of youtube content?

I'm having the same problem. Youtube will not play videos. Started Wednesday last week, but only affected my laptop (Win7). Friday, my Linux desktop stopped. Yesterday my Win7 desktop. Today, my wife's laptop. Took my laptop to the McDonalds down the road and the SAME videos play fine on their WIFI. Same thing at the coffee shop I frequent. My verizon phone plays them fine UNTIL I connect to my HF WIFI. Then, they stall. When I disconnect from my WIFI and go back to my phone's 4G, they start up again.
Looks pretty suspicious to me. Maybe HF customers are the guinea pigs in verizon's experiments with throttling bandwidth. Pretty small customer base to **** off as opposed to FIOS or verizon DSL users.
I just tested the following video sites, and ALL worked flawlessly on my laptop that refuses to play youtube videos:
    ted.com
    bigthink.com
    atom.com
    blip.tv
    on.aol.com
    wwitv.com
    hulu.com
    vimeo.com
    ustream.tv
    comedycentral.com
    nbc.com/video
    nbcnews.com
    abc.go.com
They all use flash. Most use v 10..x.x.xx. Some use 12.x.x.xx. I have 12.0.0.43 on my laptop.

  • Retrieve what video resolutions(quality) a youtube video has, with youtube api or packet analysis

a youtube video is usually with multiple video resolutions (quality) like 240p, 360p,720p,etc how can I retrieve what video resolutions(quality) a youtube video has are there any youtube api which can get this information
I think If I capture the packets when I'm watching a video, by analysing the packets, definitely I can know what resolution this video provides but I don't know which part the packet provide this information does anyone know this? thanks!

I am no iPhone expert, but I believe it has to do with what connection you are using.
I noticed this the other day, I watched a YouTube vid the other day connected to my home wifi, and it looked amazing. Then I went to show a co-worker the same vid while on the 3g network. It looked like crap, all large pixels and blury. Anyway that is what I noticed.

  • Exporting to 1920 x 1080  from YouTube video.

    Hi Forum.
I've downloaded a video which is 1280 x 720, so Im cutting some footage which Id like to use for 1080 1920
is there a way to export with out quality loss? And also when I drag and drop my clip on to the canvas
its more square than wide screen. as show in the project section.  when I play the clip on a Media player its not
clipped like shown in the canvas section.
    Thank you.

YouTube video's are for watching, not for editing. Upscaling even good editable material (which YT is not) will always result in severe quality loss.
Your clipping is probably because your sequence settings do not match your footage.

  • Firefox freezes when trying to open new Youtube Videos, what can I do?

I run Firefox 19.0.2 and the latest Flash plugin. All of a sudden Firefox freezes when I try to open Youtube videos. I can only kill it with ctrl+alt+del.
Note that I CAN watch Youtube videos that are saved as favorites and I also CAN watch videos I click as related videos. However whenever I use the search bar and click a new video I haven't watched before, Firefox will freeze over and over again.
I already tried disabling the hardware acceleration, as well as deleting the cache and varying cache size.
I also tried re-setting the dom.ipc config settings as stated here:
    https://support.mozilla.org/de/questions/909133
So far, nothing would do the trick.
Your help is much appreciated, thanks a lot! :)

    Thanks Cor-el!! It's over!

  • LR 4.1RC2 bug reports: 1) no saving of video metadata 2) out of place dynamiclinkmediaserver folder

    Hi,
testing LR 4.1 RC2 x64 on a fresh Win 7 x64 system. Having noticed two bugs, I'm not sure where to report them... (and there is no official or Adobe-endorsed bug tracking system afaik).
    1b)
I have a bunch of digicam videos from my Panasonic LX3, originally in Mjpeg-in-Mov format, that I convert to vanilla h264 avi for more ease of use/saving storage space. Each video comes with an out-of-camera low-res Jpeg sidecar.
Having imported the converted avi + jpeg into the LR catalog, it appears that metadata can be saved neither in the videos nor in the Jpeg sidecars. As a side-effect, videos permanently appear as "Metadata unsaved" in various LR filters/smart collections.
    1b)
after import, the capture date of these videos is set to the converted file creation date (probably due to the lack of embedded capture date metadata in videos) which is wrong - there has to be a better solution than assuming filesystem stamps are reliable metadata.
And of course, here again this metadata can not be edited & saved. A tricky workaround is to read the capture date from the sidecar, set with a commandline utility the creation date of the video file, then import the video file.
Please consider fixing these two points: by allowing to read metadata first from videos, and if metadata missing, from companion sidecars (xmp, jpg...), then allowing to save edited metadata to these sidecar files (xmp, jpg...) if video files are not writable or their metadata too tricky to manage. Although not foolproof, that'd be better than no metadata capabilities for videos at all.
(Or perhaps allow users to permanently disable the video/Quicktime part of the software, leaving it to other third-part tools or the OS)
    2)
Upon using LR 4 RC2, some "Adobe\dynamiclinkserver\6.0" empty directory tree is created under %User%\Documents. If deleted, the folder gets recreated after later use of LR4. Guess it relates to the video-management part of the software.
Please consider fixing this or, if such a folder is really needed, placing it out of the users' Documents...
(Or perhaps allow users to permanently disable the video/Quicktime part of the software, leaving it to other third-part tools or the OS)
    • As a sidenote, LR 4.1RCs still complain about the incompatibility with Photoshop CS5.5. Not sure if there's any easy fix for this annoying fact, besides installing some trial Adobe PS CS6 [beta] on top of a fully-working CS 5.5 Suite.

  • Flash 10/11 hangs in Firefox 5/6 with embedded Youtube videos on Windows 7 x64 without crash-report.

    Hello everybody,
At first I report my problem to bugzilla of firefox on this URL: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=673272 .
I hope people from this Forum can help me.
My Firefox (5.0.1 or 6.0 b2) with Flash (10.3.181.34 or 11.0.1.60) hangs when I enter to webpage with embedded videos or direct on YouTube, faster hangs is on webpage with embedded YT videos.
When FF is hangs I can kill "plugin-container.exe *32" and see screen like this: http://prntscr.com/2e1yo with new upper bar "The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed. Learn More... Reload page x" but WITHOUT "Send crash report". "Submit crash reports" is enable in FF by default.
I turn HW acceleration off, testing new FF profile, new windows user profile, safe mode of FF, the newest both softare FF 6.0b2 and Flash11 for Windows 7 64bit = without effect, FF still hangs on my HP Compaq 6510b laptop.

  • Youtube video's | bug?

    Hello all,
Since a couple of weeks were distributing folio's. In this edition, a page contains 6 different youtube video's. I've created a box for all video's, inserted their URL by youtube's share - embed. In Adobe content viewer everything works
Now once i upload the folio and test it on my Ipad, i see all video's loading/filling the box (6 different covers). Once all video's are loaded/filled in their box, they all are getting replaced by the first video. So you can see, and play, 6 times the first video.
Does anyone have a similar experience and a solution?
    I use Indesign CS6, v 8.0.1.
    Best Ewout
    Ipad (wrong):
    Content viewer (good)

I see it loads properly in a second or so, once all movies are loaded or placed in their containers, their 'replaced' bij the first one.
The embed code is used in Folio overlay > webcontent
Settings: Autoplay on, delay 0s, userinteraction on, rest of the options are off

  • YouTube Application Bug Report

When the phone has 174MB or less of free space, attempting to play a YouTube video will generate the error "Error Playing Video."
This seems odd as the videos tested varied in size from 00:34 to 5:00 in duration. At the least the 00:34 movie should have been well below 174MB in size, even taking into account temporary processing space requirements.
The preferred remedy is to make the playback functionality's physical disk usage more efficient, as well as add a more user friendly message stating "Unable to Play: Insufficient Local Drive Space."
I was able to reproduce and fix this error at will by adding and removing synchronized files to vary the device's available free space.

    In keeping with tradition here...
    [SARCASM]
It's been AT LEAST 5 minutes since I brought the issue up. I keep checking for updates in iTunes.... but it isn't fixed yet.
What the heck? I paid $600 for this, why isn't it fixed yet? Where's our updates?

  • After upgrading to Firefox 24, YouTube videos never load

I have Lubuntu 12.04 and Gnash. Up until yesterday (when Upgrade Manager uploaded the latest Firefox to version 24) all was well.
NOW, the page loads, I click on the large "Play" symbol superimposed over the video image, and all I get thereafter is the circling dots loading symbol.
Gnash gets far enough that it creates the "videoplayback__" file for the video, but it is typically only a few kb large (and it cannot be played, naturally).
If there is a workaround/solution, great - if not, please tell me how to get version 23 back (but also let me know when the problem is fixed so I can get the new fixed version)
    Thank you.
P.S. To get this question down to an acceptable size, I deleted all the printer-related Troubleshooting Information that for some reason Troubleshooter saw fit to include....
Before I did so, I was told to: "Ensure this value has at most 30,000 characters (it has 47,676)." ("Value" ???)

YouTube videos freezing up after about 30s
I am contributing the following observations both as information and in an effort to help FF find a fix for what broadly speaking is an on-going problem, but possibly not as some users have suggested specifically with FF or on the other hand with Adobe Flash. Please forgive the length.
After updating FF23.0.1 to FF24.0 and updating Adobe Flash Player from 11.8.* to 11.9.900.117 shortly afterwards I have found that when using my broadband dongle ANY YouTube video I play in FF freezes up after 26-30 seconds although the progress bar continues; if I give it long enough the screen turns green - a first for me - and I receive a message that the Adobe Flash Player has crashed. The SAME effect occurs in Google Chrome using its default Adobe Flash Player, v11.8.* (it recognizes 11.9.900.117, but I have not tried that in Chrome yet).
With Opera v12.16 and v15, however, with and WITHOUT the turbo feature on for slow connections, I have no problem with YouTube videos. In a single test using FF with an ethernet connection YouTube videos played properly. So, superficially, the problem would seem to be related to a slow connection speed with the dongle, although this does not explain the crashing of the Flash Player in FF and Chrome, but not in Opera: I have been using the dongle since December 2009 and have NEVER encountered this issue before. Also, with FF, I tried playing a flash video on another website at various qualities and the video did not freeze up. So, why this problem with YouTube? It might also be added that FF users have been reporting FF/Adobe Flash/YouTube problems for at least a few years and it is unlikely that they were all using broadband dongles. I do have some difficulty playing some Quicktime videos while using my dongle, which may also suggest an internet connection issue; nevertheless, as noted, this does not explain the persistent and unusual crashing of the Flash Player or the green-screen effect or Opera's ability to play YouTube videos.
